The 12 Best Orange Lipstick Shades of All Time

I’d say, on average, I wear bold lip color once a week, but apparently my brain processes that fact as “I need 28 orange lipsticks.

” Indeed, at last count I had 28 shades from YSL and MAC to Wet n Wild. And while they might look exactly the same to the uneducated beauty consumer, I’m willing to wager most of you reading this would see clear differences with the majority. Or, maybe that’s me justifying the fact I have a bit of a hoarding problem.

As for the best orange lipstick, though, I’m still very much undecided. My eye is typically drawn to the super-saturated, neon tangerine colors I so often see on the runway (most memorably at Rag & Bone Spring 2014’s show, a beauty moment still referenced today) and the bold, sunny shade J.Crew made famous, although I’ll never kick a bright-red-leaning orange out of my makeup bag, either.

The fact is, there’s a lot written about finding the most flattering orange for your skin tone, but I’ve found that most are more versatile than you’d expect so long as you look for shades that aren’t too brown to blue undertone-wise, which can make most of us look sallow, no matter what our complexion.

Then there’s the issue of longevity—if I’m going orange, I’m going big. Meaning, I’m looking for the shade that not only says “hey world, I’m wearing lipstick today!” but one that stays put from my morning iced coffee to my evening glass of wine (if it can last through a couple slices of pizza too, I know she’s a keeper.)

In the name of VIR (Very Important Research), I’ve spotlighted 12 shades of orange lipstick, from muted coral to juicy tangerine—both new and classic—and added color swatches and the scoop on how long they last.

Go, spring!

Tom Ford Ultra-Rich Lip Color in Solar Affair, $52

Shade: A pale coral orange that looked lighter on my lips than it did on the tube; almost like something your grandma would have worn in Palm Beach during the ’60s—in the best way possible.

Finish: Creamy with a subtle shine.

Does it last? Given how smooth it is, I didn’t expect it to last terribly long, but TF earned his keep by making this formula stay put through a giant salad and a quart-sized bottle of water. When it finally faded, I wasn’t left with gross residue or flaky lips.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

MAC Lipmix in Orange, $15

Shade: A very editorial bold tangerine that borders on neon. Since it’s part of MAC’s Pro collection, it’s designed to be worn alone or mixed with other lipstick shades to create a custom color. Alone, it looks very much like the lips at Rag & Bone’s Spring ’14 runway show—one of my favorite beauty moments ever.

Formula: Super-thick and a tad gooey if you’re not careful. A tiny bit goes a long, long way.

Does it last? Forever. Not only did the ultra-matte cream stay on for the most of the day, but it didn’t really transfer to my coffee cup or water bottle. It’s a tad drying, but nothing a little Carmex before bed can’t fix.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Wet n Wild Megalast in Purty Persimmon, $1.99

Shade: Vivid red-orange that can impart a “just-bitten” look if you dab it on with your finger, or appear super-bold if you apply straight from the tube.

Formula: Super-matte, crazy-pigmented. Just don’t expect hydration.

Does it last?: Not only does it last, but I had to werk to get it off.

Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in Delicious 415, $34.50

Shade: The brand refers to it as a “golden terracotta,” but it’s more of a muted orange-apricot.

Formula: Creamy.

Does it last? Not bad! Stayed on through sushi and a few glasses of water, but not at full opacity.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Orange Shot, $7.99

Shade: A poppy orange-red.

Formula: A Kylie-esque liquid that dries to a velvety matte finish without looking flat and never feels tight, dry, or thick.

Does it last? For how creamy it feels, it lasted surprisingly long but definitely needed retouching after dinner and drinks.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick in Always Apricot, $9.99

Shade: Sheer orange with subtle shine.

Formula: Super creamy. It’s made with hydrating vitamin E and definitely felt more like lip balm when applied.

Does it last? Not terribly long—it started to budge after a few sips of water and left a bit of a line around my lips.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Sheer Slowburn, $22

Shade: Sheer orange-red.

Formula: Kind of like a tinted lip balm with good pigment. On me, it didn’t read as much orange as it did natural pink.

Does it last? About as long as typical lip balm.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

POP Beauty Matte Velvet Lipstix in Pop Persimmon, $16

Shade: Orangey-coral, with barely any red or pink tones.

Formula: Creamy.

Does it last? After the creamy luster started to fade, the formula definitely appeared more matte but became lighter in color. Bonus: It smells and tastes like coconut.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Rimmel the Only One Lipstick in Call Me Crazy, $5.99

Shade: A flattering deep, bold orange.

Formula: It definitely lived up to its name, the Only One, thanks to its triple-crown mix of long-lasting color, creamy moisture and wear.

Does it last? All effing day.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Black Up Cosmetics Lipstick in 34M, $23

Shade: Bright red-orange that’s specifically made for women of color. I’m Caucasian but found the shade among the most flattering for my light-medium skin.

Formula: Super matte with a touch of cream.

Does it last? It lasted so long, I had to use a micellar-water wipe to take it off.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Milani Color Statement Moisture Matte Luxe Lipstick in 75, $5.99

Shade: Vibrant warm orange.

Formula: Creamy matte.

Does it last? I’ve always had a soft spot for this drugstore shade, and while it doesn’t pack as much as a color payoff as others like it, it stayed on fairly well.

Photo: Tom Medvedich

Chosungah32 Flavorful Lipstick in Guava Tint Jello, $18

Shade: Sheer pinkish-orange.

Formula: Like solid jelly, if that makes sense.

Does it last: I found myself reapplying this K-beauty tube, meant to be a transparent tint not a saturated lipstick, all day because I loved the texture and the super-slight flush it added to my lips.

Orange Is the New Lip

Cate Blanchett at the Critics’ Choice Awards

Ladies, it’s time to tuck away our sweet pink and classic red lipsticks. The orange lipstick trend has been captivating the red carpets and fashion runways—it is the must have lip color this spring/summer.

Unlike our timeless reds and pinks, however, the edgier orange hue can be intimidating for us if we’ve never tried it before. Choosing the wrong shade can make us feel less like Beyonce and more like Bozo the Clown. So to help us look irresistible in orange, here are a few easy tips to keep in mind when shopping for the orange hue for you.

5 Tips for Wearing Orange Lipstick

Lupita Nyong’o at the 2014 Golden Globes

1. Opt for a more red-orange or pink-orange shade for everyday wear.

Steer clear of the more yellow-tinged or neon-orange hues as these are on the bolder side and best for the runway or a fabulous night out. Coral and salmon shades are universally flattering and look lovely all hours of the day.

2. Bright Orange is most flattering on darker complexions and golden tans.

Trust us! We love the vibrant orange lip shades that add just enough sheerness for the day and enough pop to stand out.

3. Less is more for our redheaded beauties.

Your orange lip color should be the beauty statement while eye and cheek makeup should be kept to an absolute minimum.

4. Matte makes all the difference.

Matte versions of this statement shade create a more approachable look for daytime wear. Save the high shine glosses for evenings out on the town.

5. Test Drive more than a few shades before choosing The One.

For my orange-lipstick shopping trip, I sampled at least eight shades on my arm, then narrowed the choices to three and sampled those on my pout. I asked for lots of feedback from the far more knowledgable sales associates and then finally made my purchase!

With these orange lipstick shopping tips in mind, we’ve rounded up the 10 glorious orange lipsticks, glosses, and palettes currently on our beauty love list. From drugstore gems to luxurious runway shades, we can’t wait to add these to our spring beauty looks!

How to wear orange-red lipsticks

  • Exfoliate your lips: The bold shade can emphasise on dry flakes on your lips. Give your lips a smooth canvas for the lipstick to glide onto by exfoliating it first. You can do so with a lip scrub or simply by running your toothbrush gently over your lips.
  • Use a lip liner: Orange-red shade looks best on a well-defined lip contour. A lip liner (in a similar shade!) can help you outline your lips to accentuate your pout.
  • Keep the rest of your makeup understated: Let the bold orange-red lips take centre stage and go easy with the rest of your makeup. Avoid heavy eye makeup so your lips can stand out!

Orange Lip Trend

I am not the type of person that rushes to embrace any trend, but whenever I think that one may suit me I eventually give it a try. Orange lipsticks used to be veeery intimidating to me, but after careful consideration and after trying a few different options, I realized that it was not as shocking as I expected. I collected a few orange lipsticks from some of my favorite green brands and I plan on brightening the upcoming Spring days wearing them. As for the scaredy cats, don’t you worry, I have been there so I picked a few options you may feel comfortable wearing, too.

Bold Orange Lipsticks

Ilia Beauty in Voila’. Voila’ is the exact shade that is on trend now: a bright and bold, reddish-orange. It has the same amazing formula of my other Ilia Beauty lipsticks, which is moisturizing, but with a semi-matte finish.

Red Apple Lipstick in Firefly*. The thought of a bold orange with golden shimmer may sound like it would be too much, but the shimmer is so subtle, and it perfectly complements this shade of orange. It is very moisturizing and creamy, like every other Red Apple Lipstick product, and is also gluten free.

In the first image above I am wearing Ilia Beauty in Voila’, and I also layered Red Apple Lipstick Firefly on top.

Jane Iredale PureMoist Lipstick in Liz, (not pictured). I found this shade in my Glamour Palette* and I was so thrilled. Together with the lip color, I also found a hot tangerine shade of eyeshadow in the same palette and I use it to top the lipstick and give an extra bold, matte finish. If you have that palette, it’s time to put it to use! If you don’t have it, you may want to consider it. It is perfect for traveling.

If you decide to go for a bright & bold orange, make sure that your lips are healthy and soft, so the color will apply evenly. If necessary, exfoliate, (I am using the Red Apple Lipstick Exfoliating Stick*, which does the job well), and follow with a softening lip balm, possibly with a non-shiny finish, like the new Pacific Lip Treatment by Marie Veronique Organics*.

Softer Tangerine Options

Ilia Beauty Tinted Lip Conditioner in Dizzy is an apricot color that would suit warm skin tones beautifully. It is the color that I am wearing in the second image above. It is very easy to wear because it is sheer (but buildable), and very moisturizing. It has become one of my daytime favorite lip colors.

Kjaer Weis Sweetness. More pigmented than Dizzy, but not as bold as Voila’ and Firefly. It is a bright peach shade with a comfortable, moisturizing texture. Compared to the other shade of orange I listed, it has a hint of pink in it. If you are familiar with Kjaer Weis lip tints you may find this one less shiny and more pigmented.

Don’t forget the Lip Liner

Whenever I wear a full-color lipstick, I cannot skip the lip liner for two reasons. First, I the shape of my lips is slightly uneven, and a bold color can emphasize that. Second, a good lip liner can help to prevent the lipstick from bleeding off the edges. My favorite lip liners are the Jane Iredale Pencil Crayons and the shade Peach goes perfectly with orange lipsticks.

On my face…

For me, evening out my skin tone and canceling any of that ever-present redness on my cheeks is the key. In the image above I am wearing my Kjaer Weis foundation in the shades Paper Thin* and Illusion, (I bought the darker shade to blend it with the lighter one that I had and I find that it works!).

As for eye makeup, I like to keep it simple. A light wash of pale yellow/beige all over the lid, and a light golden brown blended in the crease. I am wearing Kjaer Weis Charmed all over the lid, and Kjaer Weis Magnetic in the crease. I lined my upper lid with a dark brown eye pencil by Jane Iredale, and then I applied the 100% Pure mascara*. I also added a few individual lashes, and I applied them with my favorite lash glue by Winks, which works great and it is formaldehyde-free.

On to cheeks, I am wearing a bronzer by Alima Pure in the shade Trinidad and a blush by Gabriel Cosmetics in the shade Apricot. As for lipstick, I applied Ilia Beauty Voila’ with a Cargo lip brush and then used the Jane iredale Pencil Crayon in Peach to define the part of my lips where the natural contour fades.

If you like an extra matte finish, use some translucent setting powder over you lips, by gently dabbing with a fluffy brush or tap a little orange eyeshadow, and the color will be bold, bright and long-wearing.

Will you try the orange lip trend? Is there any other Spring makeup trend you are longing to try? I actually think that orange lipstick may be my new favorite…

Who is 90,000 for? Examples of makeup, photo

Orange lipstick can be seen more and more often in the makeup of models on the catwalks, in the works of famous makeup artists, in glossy magazines and in video filming. In this article, we will find out who orange lipstick suits and whether it should be painted at all.

Several seasons ago, orange lipstick entered the trend, and cosmetic brands began to produce more and more orange lipsticks in their lines. Orange lipstick is often seen on the runway – it is especially often used on the faces of models in the spring / summer collections.This color is cheerful, bright and refreshing. But is it suitable for everyone as a lipstick?

Let’s make a reservation right away that in this article we will talk about lipsticks of a classic orange shade – coral, warm red, scarlet, terracotta colors should be considered separately.

Who is the orange lipstick for?

Widget containerCopy code

Best orange lipstick will look on dark-skinned girls or on the owners of dark and very dark skin.Keep your skin tone, hair tone and eye tone warm – orange lipstick applied to skin with a cool pink, grayish or olive tint can easily make your face look sickly, only highlighting the blue / green / facial tint.

An important point – orange lipstick should be applied only to perfectly white teeth, since it easily emphasizes and makes even slight, natural yellowness of the teeth much more noticeable.

Light-skinned girls and owners of a cold type of appearance should apply orange lipstick with great care – if you still want to experiment, we recommend that you first try it in a cosmetic store or with a make-up artist, as a last resort – purchase a budget option and see if the orange lipstick is right to you.

Otherwise, orange lipstick on fair-skinned girls remains the prerogative of art and catwalk makeup.

Makeup with orange lipstick: application features

Such a complex lipstick shade as orange, of course, has many nuances in use:

Lack of other color accents in makeup

If you have applied orange lipstick to your lips, then you should not make other colored accents in this makeup: it is better to choose shadows in neutral beige tones (or refuse them altogether), you should not do colored arrows / eyeliner either.It is advisable to choose classic, graphical black arrows as arrows.

Eyelashes and space between eyelashes

Using orange lipstick, do not forget to draw the space between the eyelashes with a black or other dark kayal pencil.

Eyelashes with orange lipstick should be painted intensively – choose a voluminous mascara. This will help avoid the painful look possible with this lipstick.

If you have a pale face with a gray-green tint, or if you have an olive undertone, do not forget to add a peach-orange blush.This will “liven up” your face and help the orange lipstick look more harmonious.

Smooth complexion

Bright lipsticks are, in principle, demanding on the tone of the face – it should be perfectly even. For orange lipstick, this is primarily true. In addition to the foundation, use a concealer to correct possible imperfections, and use a concealer to mask the blue under the eyes. To even out skin tone, turn to face correction with colored concealers.

Orange lipsticks: which one to choose

Like lipsticks of other colors, orange is presented on the market in various textures: matte, corduroy, cream, with shimmer.We present you a selection of some orange lipsticks:

90,000 How to use orange in makeup correctly? Tips from Wobs!

Orange is a very cheerful color and in spite of everything, it can be actively used in makeup: on the eyes, on the lips, on the cheeks.Orange color refreshes warm color types very well, while cold girls need to be careful with orange shades; together with frankly orange, it is better to use coral or peach colors. Do not forget that orange, as well as red, as well as gold colors are shades-accents, therefore it is desirable that there is only one accent on the face – and with accessories you can already “support” it in the image.

How to use orange in eye makeup?

Ideally this color will suit warm brown eyes, as well as warm green.It can be interesting with blues and grays, but it’s better to start with small “doses” so as not to overdo it. You can apply orange shadows in the crease of the upper eyelid, an orange shimmer can be used as a material for monomake-up of eyes, and the summer, freshest, fastest and most carefree option is, of course, orange arrows with liquid eyeliner. Complement the orange shadows with a brown eyelash arrow and brown mascara for the most harmonious look.

How to use orange shades in blush?

Again, such a frankly warm shade is ideal for girls of warm color types – it will perfectly refresh them.If you are still afraid of using such a bright color in your makeup, try a peach blush with a golden glow – they are great for refreshing.

How to use orange on the lips?

Orange lips are a bright, highly visible accent that also suits warm color types. But orange lipsticks can be successfully incorporated into cool and neutral color types. Having painted your lips with orange lipstick, combine it with clothes of warm terracotta colors, brown, maybe even yellow – for the especially daring.

Make-up should kind of “maintain” orange tones – add bronze, warm brown, even peach shades to the eyes. Blush should also be in warm shades – peach-apricot options work best here. For complete harmony on the face, you can work out the fold of the eyelid with the same peach-apricot shadows – this will not make the face sore, but, on the contrary, will refresh and add interesting color harmony.

The very same orange lipstick in such a make-up should be as long-lasting as possible so that our bright accent remains unshakable in any situations.It is also advisable to use a contour pencil. The ideal option is a long-lasting matte, liquid lipstick can be used. The contour should be perfectly clear, even graphic – no feathering.

What kind of brushes are needed for this makeup?

You will need brushes for applying and shading eyeshadows, as well as brushes for blush, correction and even for lips – after all, applying lipstick with a brush is incredibly convenient. You can easily buy all these makeup accessories on the website of the online store – at the most pleasant prices and in consistently high quality, which will allow your makeup to be the most beautiful!

90,000 Who is orange lipstick for?

“Carrot-colored lipstick remained in the days of grandmothers and great-grandmothers” – you say, and you will be wrong.Yes, orange lipstick is not found on every second woman’s lips, but not because it has ceased to be fashionable, but because rarely anyone succeeds in “wearing” it successfully. Why does this happen?

Such different lipstick

Let’s start with the fact that bright orange lipstick is not at all limited to a carrot tone, its palette also includes other sunny joyful tones: natural red, honey, terracotta, amber, orange – colors that quickly and effectively create mood and chasing the blues of a cloudy day.

There are many orange lipsticks – orange, honey, amber, grapefruit, coral, tangerine, etc.

Among brand manufacturers, the name “orange lipstick” is not in use: its glamorous names such as “tangerine lipstick”, “coral lipstick”, hot caramel lipstick, grapefruit lipstick, etc. they may sound more refined and more appetizing, but they do not change the essence. This lipstick is based on the middle tone between base red and base yellow, and the shades vary in one direction or another, depending on the saturation of one color and the proportion of another in it.

How to make friends with orange lipstick?

The unpopularity of orange lipstick among the female population is easily explained: despite the assertion of world-famous stylists that it will suit everyone – both blondes and brunettes, and, of course, red-haired girls, there is one single rule that limits this friendly circle.

Orange lipstick is intended for those who have an impeccable complexion and a snow-white even smile.

Even those girls and women who can boast of exceptionally healthy skin and a Hollywood smile will have to pant over the choice of “their” noble orange tone.But those with skin defects or even slightly yellowish teeth will have to refuse orange lipstick: the teeth will visually become even yellower, and skin problems under the orange contrast will appear negatively brightly and clearly. Lucky women with perfect skin and a snow-white smile, who found among the insidious shades in harmony with their own image, are provided with many admiring male and envious female looks.

Orange lipstick and female color type

Girls and women of any age are divided into conditional color types of appearance, which play a role in choosing hair color, in forming a wardrobe, and, as in our case, in choosing makeup and lipstick tone.Based on warm and cold color types, it immediately comes to mind that sunny lipstick is close in spirit to warm, sunny Spring and Autumn, which also have a copper-reddish tint in their hair, and amber sparkles sparkle in the eyes, and the skin of these color types rejoices at freckles.

Indeed, for women of just such color types, orange lipstick will seem to be in harmony with the general image, it will organically bring light and joy into the contours of the face, add a bright devilishness to the eyes. Applying orange lipstick for the correct effect requires a certain sequence of actions:

First of all, it is necessary to even out the skin tone of the face to the ideal with the help of correcting and tonal means.
For more durability of the orange lipstick, the foundation is recommended to be applied in a thin layer on the lips.
When planning your make-up, it is recommended to take into account that orange lipstick should be the only color spot on your face, poorly added blush or bright eye makeup will turn you into Marfushka-darling from the old movie “Frost”. Neutral and soothing eye shadows, a minimum of mascara and a complete rejection of the supply contour will give an amazing and subtle effect.
A lip liner is used at will: some makeup artists believe that orange lipstick of any tones is completely self-sufficient and does not require additional contouring, others – that a clear contour has not damaged any lips.For those who wish, some compromise is offered: to use as close as possible to the tone of the lipstick, and therefore an almost imperceptible contour pencil, whose task will only be to fix the clear boundaries of the lipstick on the lips.

In order for the orange lipstick to play the right role in the image, it is recommended to pay close attention to the selection of clothes and accessories

To avoid the effect of village fairground festivities in a single female image, and so that lips do not get lost against the background of an overly colorful dress or blouse, it is recommended to wear clothes calm shades.Implement auxiliary color accents with the help of accessories that match the tone and style – an orange pendant, an eye-catching scarf with orange elements, shoes or a handbag with a decorative orange flower. Just do not put it all together – let there be one attribute containing a sunny orange color.

Never guess …

Although someone once made this discovery and now it is used without a shadow of embarrassment by salon make-up artists, and ordinary girls and women.Ta-dam!

Orange lipstick will professionally relieve you of circles under the eyes!

This extraordinary effect is achieved by balancing the bluish tones of the under-eye circles with coral lipstick on opposite sides of the standard color wheel. How it works? The magical effect on dark circles that spoil the face consists of two steps:

Apply a thin layer and blend with a brush matte, glitter-free red or orange lipstick in the places where dark circles are located under the eyes.
Apply concealer over lipstick, spreading with a brush.

The result will delight both you and your eyes!

Welcome! Another orange lips from Pupa! | Customer Reviews

I would like to note that I am not an ultra-fashionable girl, I do not particularly follow new products and I am often “out of trend”, I use what I think fits. But orange is just my favorite color! I have a lot of things orange, but a bag-scarf-jacket is one thing, and lipstick and shadows are completely different.But I really wanted to try. Here’s what came of it.
1. Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss # 09 from Pupa.
From manufacturer:
Large size pencil, practical and precise for coloring lips, with a shiny effect. It sparkles like liquid lipstick, comfortable as a balm, has a juicy cherry flavor. And, most importantly, it is practical because it guarantees a perfect, smudge-free application.
Available in a range of 10 colors: from natural to pink, from red to purple.
For … a deliciously shiny spring!

From me: A kind of pencil-lipstick-gloss-balm, I would call it that. I really liked it! I don’t use lipsticks (I don’t know how yet), only gloss, this is a transitional stage for me to lipstick, tk. the colors are very bright and saturated. It is applied easily, the lips are comfortable, does not dry out at all, however, it does not additionally moisturize. It does not spread, persistent, it lasts until I drink tea or eat something. I also like the way it looks, in my opinion, very refreshing.For the spring-summer the most it!

I wanted to limit myself to this gloss lipstick, but there were lip pencils nearby, and one of them was very, very orange! Straight orange! So I took it to find out if such an orange color would suit me, I thought, at least I would just paint over all my lips with a pencil and look.

2. Lip liner True lips No. 28 by Pupa

Soft pencil with blending applicator. Contains dermo-compatible pigments that are ideal for delicate lip skin; natural antioxidant agents that preserve and protect the skin.Does not contain elements of animal origin and mineral oils. Its soft and comfortable texture makes it easy to apply and at the same time creates a rich color.

From me: Nice enough soft lip liner in bright orange color. When I did my plan (I painted over my lips with a pencil completely and added a little gloss on top), my husband did not believe me that these were special lip products, he was sure that it was an ordinary colored pencil, or a felt-tip pen, or as if gouache. In general, he did not like it, however, then he admitted that it was simply unusual, becausebecause I do not paint brightly. I don’t know where he cheated, or he didn’t like it, and then backed up so as not to offend me, or is it okay to walk like that? I would be glad to hear your opinion.

And some photos:
Here you can see how much the pencils themselves get dirty (either so bright, or I can’t paint in another way)
Swatch on hand:
Lips without lipstick (as you can see, God did not reward me with either volume or color)
Only with gloss:
Just with a pencil along the contour on top of the balm:
Pencil only:
Pencil and balm on top:
Photo just with balsam (I nra): Just with a pencil:
I thought for a very long time whether to post this photo, but decided to be objective, this is in artificial lighting, and I really don’t like myself here, but I was going to work with such lipstick, and there I was just sitting in the office, and I don’t want to look like this, I don’t know where the truth is, and where the light is distorted.
Both products are rated 5!

Orange makeup, how to make orange makeup

Bright eye shadows were at the top of popularity in past fashion seasons. But in summer, noticeable and bold colors will be on trend again. Leading makeup artists recommend that avid fashionistas replenish their cosmetic bag with orange, so as not to lose sight of current trends.

Orange can be safely applied to all parts of the face.The main thing is to control the brightness of the tone depending on the event you are going to. For everyday wear, soft and calm shades of orange are perfect, and for a party or a fashionable get-together, you can safely try on flashy orange colors.

Orange make-up transforms the face into a canvas on which a masterpiece is presented. Skin tone should be perfectly even and clean. Makeup artists also strongly advise in creating orange makeup before applying foundation, be sure to cover the face, including the eyelids, with a makeup base.It will fix the make-up for a long time and will help to demonstrate the brightness and saturation of the color.

Orange eye makeup is suitable for everyone: owners of brown, green, gray or blue eyes.

To make the eyes bright and expressive, it is necessary to cover the eyelid with carrot shadows, and highlight the eye contour with black, purple or emerald eyeliner. For special occasions that require a custom make-up, you can use orange eyeliner or orange mascara.Finding an orange-colored eyeliner on the cosmetic market is not so easy, so you can bring the eyelash growth line with shadows by distributing them with a wet applicator.

To perform orange makeup by analogy with smoky-eyes, you need a black eyeliner, which in tandem with orange shadows will make your eyes deeper and more vibrant. Both the upper and lower eyelids should be brought in, so it turns out to create a stylish and modern look. All lines and strokes must be carefully shaded.For a passionate and bold look, darker, deeper shadows come in handy. They need to be applied to the crease of the upper eyelid. Thus, visually, the eyes will appear larger and more expressive. Highlighting the crease with copper or deep orange shadows will make the look appear deeper and the makeup will become more restrained.

Orange eye makeup can be done either in a single color or diluted with lighter tones. Deliberately, you can make clear transitions and maintain visible boundaries, but you can traditionally transfer one color to another using feathering.Depending on your preferences and goals, you can create everyday makeup in orange tones or a colorful party look with orange and carrot colors on your face.

When completing the eye makeup, do not forget about mascara. For orange makeup, black and dark brown mascara are suitable. It is better to use orange mascara on its own, abandoning other bright elements in makeup. At the same time, it is not necessary to separate the cilia connected with orange mascara, the effect of glued cilia will add additional piquancy and originality to the makeup.

Orange blush just made for dark-skinned girls. The tangerine shade will make the face soft and warm, breathe vitality and freshness into it. For warm skin tones, choose cool blush shades, and vice versa, warm blush shades work well for cold skin tones. It is acceptable for blush and lipstick to be repeated with a shade. However, make-up artists still recommend making lips a couple of tones brighter than cheekbones.

Unlike red or plum lipsticks, which must be selected based on skin tone, apricot or persimmon color lipstick suits almost everyone.There are nuances that you still need to pay attention to when using lipstick of orange shades: light skin should be clean (without pimples and pigments), close to the color of porcelain, dark skin should be naturally dark, orange lipstick is contraindicated for fans of solarium and self-tanning, lips will appear as a blot on the background of the face.

Makeup artists pay special attention to the matte texture of lipstick. You can achieve this effect as follows: initially cover the lips with a base under the make-up or concealer, then apply a foundation cream in a thin layer, then cover the lips with lipstick and finally apply shadows or blush on the lips that match the shade.

Video lesson “Orange make-up color” from Elle

colors, shades, palette. How to choose a color?

We talked about tattooing and its nuances, but the important question of lip tattooing, how to choose a color? Bold, bright red lips are fine for some faces, but let’s face it, most of us look like clowns with lips like this. So what can you do to make your permanent lip makeup and color look as attractive and natural as possible? Several recommendations in this article.

How to choose a color for lip tattooing?

The lip tattoo pigment that is right for you will greatly depend on your own skin tone and complexion. Yes, everyone is talking about it. The choice of any decorative cosmetics, pigment and any color intervention in your face and hair will depend on the tone of the latter. But how to guess your tone and choose a color and palette for permanent lip makeup?

How to determine your skin tone, lip tattoo and what color to choose?

Your skin tone is fairly easy to determine and will help you match your lip pigment with ease:

  • Look at the veins in your wrist.If they are blue, cooler pinks will suit you, if they are more greenish, your shades are warmer, yellow. If they are both blue and green, you are a happy neutral person for whom all lip tattoo palettes will do.
  • When choosing paint colors for lip tattooing, the combination of colors should be taken into account – beige shades go well with warm colors, and pink shades look great with blue or purple shades.
  • Trial and Error: Play with some lipsticks from your collection and your girlfriends’ makeup bags.Think about which ones are best for your skin. Think about the shades of this lipstick; are they cooler colors, warmer beiges or golds?

These simple tests can help narrow the range of lip pigmentation colors, but of course, your personal preference also plays a role. If you like a certain color, but it doesn’t “suit” your skin tone, it’s still your choice. Also discuss with your master your lip tattoo and how to match the color.

Choosing a color for lip tattoo by skin tone

What else should you consider in order to choose the perfect lip tone? Narrowing down the choice of colors for tattooing.

Very pale skin

If you have very pale skin, it is best to choose a beige lip tattoo. Think of the peach shades you can layer over the nude glitter for the perfect daytime look. Brown or burgundy lip tattooing will most likely not suit you as it will contrast too much with your pale skin.

Dark Leather

The choice of lip tattoo and color for brunettes is the largest. Literally all shades are suitable for such girls.Coral color or pigments with an orange element are perfect for lip tattooing to get bright tones. Stay away from chalky flowers or those with too much white.

Olive leather

If you have a beautiful olive complexion, warm natural tones will suit you. Look for deep reds or warm amber. Peach lip tattoo will also complement your skin. Avoid purple as it will accentuate the yellowness of your skin and make you look yellowish yellow.Brown will look too solid.

If your skin is not that olive, but also not pale, red lip tattoo is perfect for you. Nude and bronze tones are very good for you too, but stay away from dark lip tattoo unless you want to look too yellow.

Pink shades

Again, if you are in between pale and olive, but your skin is pinker, stick to peach for a natural look.Lip tattoo is perfect for you – dusty rose. If you want a vibrant lip tattoo, try brick red or orange based red, but don’t go for blue based red. It won’t be pretty.

Light Asian Leather

You will have beautiful full lips and a natural tint when you complement them with a caramel lip tattoo. You can also opt for brighter reds, however, do not opt for a pale lip tattoo as it will make your skin look even paler.

Super Dark & South Asian Leather

For people with darker skin or South Asian skin, choosing a permanent lip makeup and shade will not be easy. Your lips are naturally dark enough that the lip permanent and color may not be exactly what you hoped for. You can try applying a bright orange color at the first appointment, which will add warmth and richness to your lip color. This base coat can help you achieve your desired lip color in your second session.However, to achieve an exact color match. Tell the specialist what you want to achieve, and perhaps she will advise the desired lip tattoo color from the color palette.

The most fashionable shades of permanent lip makeup from the color palette

Poi visits to the master’s office, a palette of shades for lip tattooing. What is the best lip tattoo? We have already found this out above – it all depends on your skin. The master will also advise on permanent lip makeup. And here are some trendy shades that suit different types.

Lip makeup: dusty rose

A very fashionable shade that is in the arsenal of every master. An almost universal color that will look good on both full and thin lips. This is a great lip tattoo option for blondes, but brown-haired women can use this color if their skin is not too pale.

Lip tattoo: caramel color

For extravagant girls, it is recommended to try this unusual shade. With its help, the lips will visually look more plump.It is unlikely that this color will suit girls with very pale skin. But for brunettes, brown-haired women and especially red-haired, this shade is very suitable.

Lip tattoo: brown

This is one of the most risky colors. Firstly, it is suitable only for girls with very dark skin, and secondly, a very bright shade can make you be in one image for a long time. Therefore, think carefully before choosing a brown permanent and walk around with lipstick of this color for several days.But this is definitely not a lip color for a tattoo for blondes.

White lip tattoo

Light lip tattoo does not mean that your lips will become completely white. The master only blend the outline. Precisely because this permanent is most often applied only to the lip contour, it is well suited for blondes and girls with light brown hair. Makes lips visually softer and more sensual.

Burgundy lip tattoo

This color is suitable only for hot and burning brunettes.Blondes are strongly discouraged from doing. But even if you decide to make your lips burgundy, keep in mind that this is for a long time.

Matte lip tattoo

And finally, the most trendy shade. Rather, it’s not even a shade, but rather a technique. This technique will create a matte lipstick feel. Colors for tattoo lip and palette for such a technique? Absolutely any. However, it is quite complex. Therefore, it is better to choose a professional master with extensive experience.

The end result will depend not only on the base color of your natural lips, but also on how your skin reacts to the pigmentation process.Some girls with very dark skin got the result of hyperpigmentation. Their lips became darker even though they chose a lighter color.

Side effects and complications are rare, but be sure to talk with your doctor about any health problems or other problems you may have from this process.

How to choose a color for lip tattooing

How to choose it and whether it is necessary to take into account the natural shade

The color that you choose for lip tattooing should be ideal, because it will not be possible to part with it for a very long time.Take the decision responsibly and stop at the shade that will not get bored, will suit outfits and hair, will not be inappropriate at some events. And most importantly, let him just like you!

What you need to know

During permanent make-up, the pigment is injected under the skin. It does not lose its saturation for 2-3 years, sometimes even longer, so the color for lip tattooing must be chosen responsibly. Subsequently, it cannot be changed until the pigment fades.

There can be up to 300 variations in the master’s palette.Most popular:

  • red;
  • Japanese red;
  • red wine;
  • lilac pink;
  • pomegranate;
  • pink-peach;
  • ocher;
  • caramel;
  • red brown;
  • carrot scarlet;
  • salmon;
  • rose red;
  • dark red;
  • burgundy;
  • blush;
  • strawberries;
  • orange sunset;
  • cranberries.

The beautician mixes several shades if a different color is desired. There are colorless pigments that lighten the overall range. It is important that only lip materials are used when mixing, as colorants intended for eyebrows or eyelids will give an unnatural shimmer when fading.

Choice of technique

Lip permanent is done in different techniques, for each of which certain colors are suitable:

  1. Contour. The master outlines only the outlines of the mouth with a pigment of a natural color or 1-2 tones darker.You can make a light kayal – an almost white outline of the contour, which will give visual volume.
  2. Shaded contour. The outlines of the mouth are outlined in the same way as in the previous technique, but then the lines are shaded over the entire surface of the lips. It turns out the effect of lipstick. It is better to match the pigment to the color of the cosmetics that you use every day.
  3. Watercolor. The shape of the mouth is not delineated, the effect of light lipstick or gloss is created. In the watercolor technique, lip tattooing is done in pastel – beige, light pink, lavender.Several matching shades are applied at once.
  4. Natural. The make-up artist makes lip tattoo using the technique of soft shading of natural shades. The result looks natural. The lips do not seem to be painted, but naturally saturated.
  5. Ombre. Bright makeup with smooth transitions from dark lines to light middle. You can choose from 3 to 5 adjacent tones, making smooth overflows between them. Visual volume appears.
  6. 3D effect. The technique is similar to ombre, but only 2-3 tones are selected.The filling of the lips goes from the dark outline to the light middle. The beautician imitates natural highlights with a transparent pigment.

The classic lip tattoo, in which the entire space is filled with one color, is hardly used anymore. Naturalness is in vogue, so more sophisticated techniques are popular.

An important stage is the study of the photo

Before going to the master, it is advisable to look at the photos of the girls who have already made the permanent. They will help with the selection of colors.You need to find pictures in which girls look like you – with the same skin color, hair, eyebrows. It will immediately become clear which options are coming and which ones look unnatural.

Photo in printed form or on the phone can be taken with you for a consultation in order to discuss your choice with the master. The beautician will advise one of the selected options, taking into account your personal features of appearance. There are no identical people, so something different is suitable for everyone. Even changing the shade by 1 tone can ruin the permanent or, conversely, make it the way it should be.

The cosmetologist should ask for a photo portfolio of his work. So you will determine the professionalism of the master, evaluate his ability to do permanent makeup using a specific technique. Some beauticians are not given complex transitions between tones, so the result looks unnatural.

Change in shade

Pigments on the lips do not look the same as in tubes. Novice cosmetologists do not know how the coloring matter will manifest itself after it gets under the skin. If the master tightly treats the lips with a large amount of bright pigment, the behavior of the shade is difficult to predict.Reviews of such works make you wonder whether you need to agree to a permanent at all.

The beautician must take into account the rules for mixing colors. If a bright pigment is combined with a pale one, you need to correctly calculate the proportion. Otherwise, light will fade faster, and saturated will look unnatural.

After the permanent make-up has healed, the color will also change. The master introduces more pigment than necessary, since it does not completely take root. Immediately after the session, the tattoo looks too bright and unnatural.

During the healing process, the shade will change several times. After the crust falls off, it may look paler than necessary, but then it gains saturation again. The final result appears only 3-4 weeks after the session.

Herpes often occurs after lip tattooing if preventive measures are not followed. Already from the first symptoms, it is necessary to begin treatment, since the rash will spoil the result. In those places where pimples have appeared, “bald spots” will appear, on which almost no pigment will remain.

If the permanent is too light, it can be corrected for correction. The technician will refill the lips with pigment and once they heal, they will look as planned. But too bright a tattoo will not be corrected anymore – you will have to wait for it to come off. Even lighter lipstick will not overshadow the result.

Whether it is necessary to take into account the natural color

In order for the color of the tattoo to turn out to be natural, it is necessary to take into account the shade of the border of the lips. If it is light, you can choose from the entire palette of pigments.Those with a cold tint need to choose the color carefully.

Warm pigments may not cover the cyanosis of the contour, and cold ones will only intensify it. It is better to come to an appointment with an experienced master and consult with him. Perhaps at the consultation it will be possible to test several pigments (apply them to the lips with a brush, not a machine) in order to evaluate how they will look as a result.

If a warm shade is selected, the pigment must be injected in a dense layer. Cold dyes will look better under the skin if they are applied using the usual technique, without being too thick.

Other nuances

To choose the perfect tattoo color, you need to take into account the features of your appearance. You should not chase fashionable solutions – naturalness is always appreciated above originality. Too bright shades please only at first. After a few months they get bored, and the image cannot be changed – you have to wait for the permanent to come off, and no one can say in advance how long it will last.

It is better to choose a palette according to the color type of appearance:

  1. Spring – blondes with fair skin with a cold or warm tint.Variants of pinkish-beige, red-coral, apricot, beige-golden gamut are suitable. The color of champagne, red poppy and fiery scarlet with a golden tint looks good.
  2. Summer – girls with light, sometimes brown hair and fair skin with a cold tint. For permanent makeup, choose any shades from the pink range. The color of red wine, burgundy, purple looks good.
  3. Autumn – girls with brown or red hair and warm skin tints. Beige, coral, terracotta shades are suitable.Looks good red-eggplant, orange-red, copper, red-cherry with a cold tint.
  4. Winter – Brunettes with pale or pink skin. All cool shades of pink will do. Looks good plum, lilac, fuchsia, raspberry, cherry red.

Choose a shade so that it looks good in any weather. For example, flesh tones on skin with a cold tint will look pale in winter, and too saturated will look ridiculous in summer.An experienced master will select a universal color, so it makes sense to heed the advice of a beautician.

The shade should match your everyday wear. For a free style, calm, not flashy tones are suitable. For a business dress code, they choose rich, but not too bright shades. Bright girls who prefer an extraordinary style of clothing go bold solutions, for example, a red or purple ombre.

Selecting a Safe and Beautiful Pigment for Lip Permanent Makeup

Even the most persistent lipstick will rub off your lips.The solution to this problem is the permanent makeup method. During this procedure, lip tattooing pigment is injected into the outer layer of the epithelium using the needles of a tattoo machine or a handpiece. But to make the result of lip tattooing look natural, only high-quality paints that are safe for the body are used. Let’s find out which pigments for permanent lip makeup are considered the best, how to match the colors to the skin tone and how safe they are for health.

Lip pigments for tattooing

Several countries are engaged in the production of lip tattooing inks: the USA, Spain, Germany, Italy, Thailand and some other countries of South Asia.Products presented on the world market differ in colors, composition, performance and price. Determining the pigment, tattoo artists solve four problems:

  • Determine which shade will be optimally correlated with the natural tone of the client’s skin.
  • A composition is selected that is guaranteed not to be able to provoke the development of an allergic reaction in the client.
  • Decide whether the pigment is suitable for the task at hand: whether it will lie flat on the skin (without staining or spreading), hold for a long time, combine with gloss and other cosmetics.
  • They select the paint for the optimal price, so that the client is satisfied with the final cost of the permanent make-up procedure.

During the recovery period, part of the pigment is removed by the skin. The brightness of the permanent make-up is noticeably reduced, so the master applies a brighter paint, correcting for natural fading.

An error in the selection of the pigment will give an undesirable shade or may lead to an allergy. In order for the paint to be suitable for the client, the beautician must understand the properties of pigments and know the most important characteristics.

Composition of pigment for lip tattooing

When evaluating the quality of a pigment, first of all, attention is paid to its composition. The coloring powder that imparts color can be natural or artificial. The advantage of natural dyes (ocher, red iron oxide, umber, burnt sienna) is good survival rate. Synthetic pigments (titanium white, chrome green, ultramarine) take longer to absorb. But they are more persistent, which means that the lips will retain brightness for 2-3 months longer.

The coloring powder is added to the base. This composition determines the thickness of the paint and its ability to lie flat on the lips. There are two varieties:

  • A mixture of water, alcohol and sorbitol. A relatively liquid foundation that spreads well under the skin. Not all lip tattoo machines are capable of working with this composition.
  • Combination of water, glycerin and alcohol. These dyes are called cream. They are thicker than the previous group, so they cover the surface well and provide a clear outline.Lack of glycerin-based pigments – high price.

Contains antiseptics. They prevent infection of wounds caused by permanent lip makeup.

To facilitate the recovery period, extracts of aloe, chamomile and other medicinal plants can be added to the dye. They soothe the skin, relieve itching. However, some customers may be allergic to these ingredients.

What should not be included in the composition of pigments for tattooing

Some substances are dangerous to the body.Therefore, they have no place in pigments for permanent lip makeup. First of all, these are heavy metals: nickel, mercury, cadmium, lead. The presence of such impurities indicates a low quality of the drug. Heavy metals provoke the development of cancer, cause poisoning. Azo dyes (methyl orange, Congo red) are also considered carcinogens.

halogen compounds (bromine, chlorine) provoke the development of allergic reactions.

If a glycerine solution is used as a base, the concentration is important.Large dosages provoke dry skin, which will prolong the healing period. Small concentrations are safe.

Requirements for pigments

A number of requirements are imposed on pigments for permanent makeup according to the standard:

  • Absence of components that provoke the development of oncological or allergic processes.
  • Ability to resist ultraviolet light contained in sunlight. If the durability of the permanent make-up is insufficient, the color will fade in the sun and quickly fade.
  • Uniformity, no lumps or particles of different sizes. Violation of this requirement will lead to uneven filling of the stained area with dye.

If the pigment is of good quality, it will lie flat during the procedure. After the restoration of the epidermis, a permanent shade is formed that does not wash off with water and does not brighten in the sun. Over time, the dye particles will come out of the skin and the brightness will decrease. The high quality of the dye ensures that the color change is smooth, without jumps or spots.

Pigment for lip makeup: color palette

The color palette for permanent makeup includes hundreds of items. Thanks to this variety, it is possible to select a pigment for any skin tone and hair color. To understand the assortment, it is divided into 4-5 categories:

  • Pure colors: pink, red. They create a very intense color scheme. In most cases, this makeup looks unnatural.
  • Pinkish reds and mauve shades.This range is suitable for pale natural tones and fair skin. It effectively masks blue. Another color scheme for pale lips is wine red with a slight touch of orange.
  • The dark red range is very rich in shades and is suitable for both light and dark lips. Adding beige makes the color softer. Orange and deep red hues enhance visibility and saturation.
  • Burgundy wine, real red – bright intense shades that are suitable for women with bright natural lips.
  • Orange color, superimposed on a yellow base, creates a soft warm shade.

Of course, the choice of pigments is not limited to the listed positions. For a full palette of shades, look at the manufacturer’s mailing lists or web pages with commercial offers. Most manufacturers produce demonstration materials that will help you understand how a pigment looks in combination with a particular color type of appearance.

How to choose the right pigment for lip tattooing

The selection begins by studying the features of the client’s appearance.Hair colors, irises, skin tones form the color type of appearance. They are divided into summer, winter, autumn and spring. The first two color types are referred to as cold, and the last – to warm. Manufacturers usually offer separate palettes for warm and cold makeup.

The sketch is then drawn up. It is necessary to decide whether the contour will be made. Also at this stage, a tattoo technique is selected and a choice is made between naturalness and external effect. The task of the master is to choose a shade so that for a long time it does not begin to annoy.If in any setting, every day makeup looks natural and attractive, then the selection is successful.

If the visual solution and tattoo technique are defined, the options that are not suitable for technical reasons are screened out. For example, if a client is allergic to aloe, remove all dyes that contain extracts of this plant. The final stage is the optimization of the cosmetic tattoo project for the price.

Are tattoo dyes safe?

The question of the safety of the procedure for applying a cosmetic tattoo and the pigments used for this is acute.Various experts express sometimes diametrically opposite opinions on this problem: from accusing pigments of their ability to provoke the appearance of cancer to statements about the complete safety of dyes for health.

The truth with such a range of opinions is usually somewhere between the extreme positions. At the initial stage of the development of cosmetic micropigmentation, low quality components were used. Many of them contained harmful components and could cause serious damage to health.Modern drugs meet safety standards and cannot harm health.

Cosmetic tattoo – interference with the body. Therefore, people who are responsible for their own health make efforts to make it as safe as possible.

What do beauticians advise?

Each situation is considered by a specialist separately. But some guidelines are good for everyone:

  • Bright and acidic colors are a risky decision. They will be appropriate for evening make-up, but not all day long.Therefore, beauticians are advised to avoid them.

  • The expiration date of the dye is checked before each procedure. Also, the client has the right to study certificates confirming the competence of the master and the quality of all components used for the procedure (pigments, anesthetics, painkillers). It is impossible to use drugs with an expired shelf life.

  • From the point of view of environmental friendliness, the optimal solution is natural components of dyes.They give natural shades and are well tolerated by the body.
    Permanent micropigmentation procedure requires financial investments. You cannot save on the quality of dyes, anesthetics and other components. Poor quality materials will ruin the look, and fixing the matter is much more difficult and expensive. Poor quality will be noticeable for many days, much longer than the joy of the achieved savings. Therefore, cosmetologists advise using dyes from manufacturers with a good reputation.

Lip tattooing colors: what are the shades

To make permanent makeup look stylish and effective, you need to be able to choose the right colors for lip tattooing. Thanks to the pigment, you do not have to tint the lubricated lips in a day, does not leave marks, and remains saturated for a long time.

What pigments are used for lip tattooing

Permanent makeup involves stuffing pigment under the top layer of the skin to create a natural, enhanced look.So that there is no blue discoloration or blackening of the contours, products containing iron oxide are used. A master selects a color with a client, bright – quickly brightens. When tattooing the contour for naturalness, you need an option to match the lips or darker.

To make the preparation penetrate and stain deeper, use alcohol dyes. The method provides a long-lasting effect, rich and bright color. Persistence depends on the ratio of alcohol, fat, additional substances. The pigment should have a uniform consistency, not contain lumps for even application without gaps.In the description (composition), carcinogenic substances are not allowed. In order not to detect stains on the lips, the paint should brighten equally on the entire surface.

For tattooing expressionless lips, do not use products intended for tattoos on the body. They can provoke skin burns, contain solvents, acids and alkali. Poor quality dye can lead to allergic reactions or premature aging. High-quality tattooing depends on the work of the master, safe materials and the correct selection of colors.

How to choose the right shade

When choosing a color for tattooing, it is better to stay on discreet options. Many girls choose bright options that may not suit them, do not look natural enough. To get the desired shade, the master can mix pigments.

Melanin, hemoglobin, carotene are body substances that color the skin.

The shade must be chosen so that it fits the type of appearance, any wardrobe outfit, hair color, eyes.

For blondes and brunettes

types of techniques, color matching, healing, contraindication

Decorative cosmetics are not particularly durable. Even matte lipstick smudges quickly. Permanent lip tattooing is gaining more and more popularity.”Eternal” make-up is not just beautiful, but also convenient: there is no need to “induce” beauty every day, to worry if the lipstick has smeared out after drinking a cup of tea. This procedure has nuances that a woman who decides to get a tattoo should be aware of.

Pros and cons of tattooing

Permanent lip makeup has a number of advantages that make girls want to resort to a cosmetic procedure. The end result from the hands of an experienced craftsman looks natural, natural, spectacular.The prospect of always looking 100% becomes the goal that the fair half cannot resist, even after learning about the possible negative consequences of “eternal” makeup.

The obvious advantages include:

  • No need for frequent lip tinting.
  • Possibility to correct the existing imperfections in the contour, size and shape of the lips, to mask small defects in the form of scars.
  • Persistence of makeup before mechanical stress, eating, kissing.
  • A variety of techniques and shades will allow you to get as close as possible to the perfect tattoo.

  • Compatibility of the dye with hyaluronic acid allows you to combine the procedure with lip augmentation.
  • Ability to refresh the face, brighten the image.
  • The painlessness of the procedure often does not require the administration of lidocaine through injections – only anesthetic cream is used.

A special indication for permanent lip makeup is asymmetry, the ugly shape of the mouth, the presence of wrinkles in the corners over which the lipstick spreads.

The disadvantages of the cosmetic procedure are the following nuances:

  • The presence of a number of contraindications.
  • Possibility of negative consequences and complications associated with the specialist’s inexperience, individual characteristics of the client, improper lip care after tattooing.
  • Frequent exacerbations of herpes require preparation for the procedure.
  • Unpleasant sensations during tattooing.
  • Long-term healing and restoration of skin after tattoo.
  • An unsuccessful permanent is difficult to fix, you can only remove the paint with a laser or a remover.

Before deciding on an “eternal” make-up, you should weigh the pros / cons, carefully study the list of contraindications in order to avoid dire consequences. It is equally important to choose the right salon and a professional beautician with experience, positive feedback on the work done.

Peculiarities of color matching

It is necessary to select the shade of the dye based on the color type (coloration) of the appearance, which is determined by the natural data of a person: the color of the skin, hair, eyes. Color types are divided into cold (winter, summer) and warm (spring, autumn):

“Winter” includes brunettes and girls with ash or dark blond hair. Their skin is pale or olive tinged, and their eyes are dark. Girls with “summer” color type are fair-haired or blondes with gray, green, brown eyes.Representatives of the cold color type have expressive eyes, but pale, almost colorless lips. When choosing a shade of permanent makeup, you should lean towards cold shades with a pink palette. This includes the following colors and shades:

  • plum, cherry;
  • red-violet;
  • purple;
  • red brown;
  • amaranth;
  • hot pink;
  • fuchsia;
  • raspberry;
  • cherry red;
  • cyclamen;
  • lilac;
  • terracotta;
  • bronze.

Girls with “autumn” and “spring” color types are recommended to lean towards the choice of warm colors. “Autumn” brown-haired women with a copper tint and red-haired personalities have golden skin, and their eyes are light brown, hazel, amber. The nature has endowed “spring” young ladies with light and thin skin and wheat hair. Eye color – light blue, light gray, light brown, light green.

“Warm” color type will suit the tones:

  • caramel;
  • ocher;
  • peach;
  • salmon pink;
  • beige;
  • warm pink;
  • corporal;
  • coral pink;
  • Burnt Sienna.

A permanent make-up specialist should be an experienced make-up artist who will help the client determine the color type, choose a shade, taking into account her tastes and manners. He will make a trial pencil sketch in the selected tone for preliminary evaluation. The girl has to walk with a permanent for a long time. It is important that she likes herself and is confident in attractiveness.

In both color types, it is recommended to avoid the use of too bright colors and their shades, such as red, scarlet, burgundy, bright plum.A defiant make-up is not universal and cannot go with any meetings, evenings, celebrations that you will have to attend over the next few years.

An important condition for a permanent tattoo is maximum naturalness and naturalness, which will emphasize natural beauty, highlight a certain area of the face, and give freshness to the skin.

Types of permanent makeup

There are several types of permanent lip makeup, which differ in the technique of introducing a coloring pigment.The end result of each technique is different. Which technique should you choose? Depends on the goal and the desire that the client would like to receive from the make-up:

Type of technique Description
1. Feathering Feathering can be partial or complete. This technique is also called “permanent lipstick”. The end result has the effect of painted lips and is suitable for girls who want:
  • to change the natural color to a brighter one;
  • to correct the unevenness of the shape;
  • hide a minor defect;
  • Increase volume slightly.
2. Contour Contouring tattoo can be chosen by girls who by nature have beautiful lips and want to emphasize this part of the face, make it more expressive. The shade of the pigment is chosen not too bright, so that the mouth looks more natural.

This type of tattoo can be combined with full shading. It looks great on plump lips. The contour can be highlighted with partial feathering and sharpened.

3.Effect 3D 3D tattooing is represented by performing permanent makeup in several stages. The technique involves the use of 3-4 shades of the same color, which smoothly transition from light to dark. To achieve the goal, it may take 2-4 sessions, each of which continues after complete healing of the skin.

Girls make lip tattoo with a 3D effect to visually increase and correct asymmetry. In 3D tattooing, there is partial and complete filling with pigment. Partial shading allows lips to look voluminous, sexy, natural.Full fill is a decorative tattoo that gives the lips a neatly painted look.

4. Watercolor The watercolor technique (powder spray or contourless tattoo) is used to create a light look. The peculiarity of tattooing is the absence of contour drawing. The pigment is injected in layers, and the procedure is performed in 2 stages. Light colors are chosen for tattooing. The result of the make-up is gentle naturalness. The lips become voluminous, natural and attractive.

Tattooing should be performed in a salon or a specialized office. Performing permanent make-up at home is fraught with health-threatening consequences. Only a qualified master should apply the pigment. The scheme of the procedure in all techniques is identical, it differs only in certain nuances regarding the injection of paint and the number of courses. Below is a short step-by-step description of the pigment application process, which consists of 3 steps:

To prepare for tattooing, you should be careful not to exacerbate herpes.If there is a tendency to the manifestation of the disease on the lips, then a week before the procedure and for a certain period after it, it is recommended to use the antiviral drug Acyclovir in tablets. Do not drink alcoholic beverages before the procedure.

Before applying the paint, it is worth asking about the composition and manufacturer of the pigment. It is important that it does not contain harmful components, has a pH level close to that of the skin, is easy to inject and does not evaporate.

The session begins with cleaning the skin from the remains of cosmetics and applying anesthetic.

Next, the ink is injected with a machine with a thinning needle. The technique and depth of application depends on the type of makeup. The process can take 2-3 hours. If we are talking about the 3D effect, then a phased application takes place, requiring several sessions.

Immediately the shade will be much richer and brighter. It will be able to manifest itself in the proper form only after complete healing of the skin. It is worth evaluating the final result in 3-4 weeks.

The first 1-2 days there will be a slight swelling – this is a normal tissue reaction to injury.When the micro-wounds begin to heal, the lips should become crusty, and itching will appear on the 3-4th day – this is a sign of a normal regeneration process. At home, the lips are recommended to be smeared with a wound-healing agent with anti-inflammatory action. Removal of crusts is prohibited in order to avoid infection and the formation of gaps in the pigmented area.

How long does it heal

Permanent make-up lasts 2-5 years. It all depends on:

  • skin type;
  • hue intensity; 90,071 90,067 age;
  • immunity;
  • UV exposure.

How painful the procedure is

Natural lip tattooing is a beauty that requires sacrifice.How painful it is to achieve it, it is impossible to answer unequivocally. The pain threshold is different for everyone. Some have compared this pain to a mosquito bite, while others clench their fists white.

Anesthetic ointment is used in 90% of cases: Super Numb, Dr. Numb, TKTX, Deep Numb, SXYAN. The remaining 10% are sensitive girls requiring the use of lidocaine injections.

How to choose the right color for permanent lip makeup?

Permanent lip tattooing experts consider the most effective method of non-radical correction of appearance.

With the right choice of color, tattoo makes it possible for women to return their lost attractiveness and sexuality to their lips. Using the techniques of color, a qualified master is able to correct the lip pattern and shape of the lips.

Which color should you choose?

The choice of pigment color determines both the quality and the aesthetic result of the procedure. His choice should be considered thoughtfully and carefully.

The choice of color for lip tattooing depends on many factors, and first of all on the type and color type of a woman’s appearance, lip shape, face shape, age and even occupation, and, of course, fashion trends.Correctly chosen color of the pigment when using various tattoo techniques will allow the artist:

  • to increase the volume of the lips;
  • Correct the shape of the lips;
  • to hide the unevenness of the natural pigment of the lips and give them an even color filling;
  • to shade and hide the scars on the lips.

There are a lot of factors on which this choice depends, according to experts in the field of aesthetic tattooing.However, the main thing to rely on is the color type of a woman.

Traditional color types of appearance, which are accepted in aesthetic cosmetology, are correlated with the seasons. Let’s consider color types and examples of pigment color matching to them:

  1. “Spring” – thin skin that gives off transparency, light hair, mostly warm blonde shades, light gray or blue eyes, light (closer to light brown) eyebrow color,
  • warm shades of orange, peach, beige, apricot, soft ocher, salmon;
  1. “Summer” – light skin of marble and light pink shades, light hair, mostly warm shades of blonde, light gray, gray-green or gray-blue eyes, blonde hair color, light brown eyebrow color,
  • cold shades of pink, peach;
  1. “Winter” – porcelain white skin, dark brown hair shades, green or dark brown eye color, dark eyebrows,
  • saturated shades of red, ocher, plum;
  1. “Autumn” – noble creamy skin tone, from copper to bright red hair shades, warm shades of green, amber, light brown, bronze eyes, dark eyebrows,
  • ocher, pumpkin red, brown and plum shades.

Popular palettes

Using different pigment colors, the artist is able to create the desired look. The most popular shades are presented in the line of the Swiss brand “Swiss color”. Its palette contains many rolling shades, which allows you to create beautiful images, giving the appearance the necessary visual effect – naturalness, romance and sex appeal.

The popular “Swiss color” line of light shades with a soft tone and matte structure of colors that are chosen for a delicate, romantic look – Ivory, Pearl, Blush, Rosa.

Popular shades for a beautifully filled lips, which are preferred by those who try to maintain a natural look – Tosca, Sienna, Sanset.

Actual shades that organically fit into the image for a business woman – Sevilla, Paris, Tango.

Lovers of bright, sexually attractive and memorable looks choose bold and rich shades – Red, Coral, Blacksberry, Valentine, Tango.

Opinion of professionals

In order to avoid the disappointment caused by the wrong choice of pigment, reputable masters of aesthetic tattooing recommend trusting the choice of the master who will carry out the procedure.Why?

There are at least two reasons for this.

  1. The permanent makeup specialist is undergoing training in the theory of makeup and color. During his studies, he studies the methods of selection and the effect of pigments, the nature of their interaction with one or another type of skin. This knowledge enables a specialist to accurately select the ideal pigment for a particular client.
  2. In nature, a mono-color type of appearance is extremely rare. Each of them has inclusions characteristic of a different color type.Only a master of aesthetic cosmetology is able to determine it correctly.

Pigments for lip contouring. How to choose the right pigment

What attracts men to female beauty? Most likely, the bulk of men will name lips, undoubtedly, alluring, scarlet, slightly swollen. In a word, the most seductive kind.

What woman does not want to attract the enthusiastic glances of the representatives of the strong half of humanity?

That is why girls invest so much effort, labor and financial resources in creating that very attractive image, so beloved by men.

The lion’s share of women’s efforts goes to the lips , everything is used: the most modern cosmetics, a variety of surgical procedures.

However, today, tattooing is considered the most effective method of visual augmentation of lips and changing their shade, without negative consequences and unpleasant sensations.

What problems does lip contouring make-up solve

Creating lip contouring, as tattooing is also called, can competently solve a number of problems , you just have to choose the right pigments for it:

  • correction of serious shortcomings , among which there may be the presence of scars, sharp asymmetry of facial features, and even a cleft lip;
  • adding missing volume to lips;
  • alignment of the contour and lip tint for ladies who have crossed their 40s and suffer from slightly blurred facial features;
  • Creation of makeup , which does not require daily rework in the face of a lack of time.

What pigments are used

How organically new lips fit into the image of a woman depends on what pigments will be used for contouring lip makeup. The fact is that both mineral and organic substances are used as an integral part of paints.

For example, only manufacturers of quality paints can afford to use iron oxide in the production of pigments, which is responsible for the appearance of the required shade of pink on the lips and guarantees the absence of blue tones.

it is better to purchase the highest quality paints from American manufacturers

Pigments are produced by different countries, among which Korea, Taiwan, China are increasingly found. You should not be tempted by their low price; it is better to purchase the highest quality paints from American manufacturers. Having spent a little more money, a woman will be calm about the quality of the tattoo being created.

There are frequent cases when cheap analogs of pigments caused persistent allergic reactions in the fair sex and forced them to abandon all types of makeup for a long time.

Pigment selection rules

To choose the right pigment for lip tattooing, you must definitely use the help of a master .

Only an experienced cosmetologist is able to weigh all aspects of a client’s appearance, and then, using computer modeling, choose a shade that will satisfy both.

Pigment palette

Pay attention! Even a perfectly selected shade tends to lose brightness, which occurs about a month after the manipulation.Therefore, cosmetologists recommend repeating the procedure after a while.

During the selection of the coloring pigment, it makes sense to turn to the type of the girl’s appearance, for example:

  • blondes with a platinum shade of hair should choose only cold pigment tones;
  • owners of golden leather should choose warm colors;
  • In the case when only lip contour tattooing is done, it makes sense to choose a shade one tone darker than natural, otherwise the transition will be too noticeable for the eye.

The palette of pigment shades is quite large , which is why it is worth choosing the appropriate tone wisely and slowly. If you have a desire to radically change your appearance, you should not take the most extravagant pigment.

It will be enough to try the same color in an ordinary lipstick to decide whether you are ready to go with it constantly.

In general, it is customary to divide the colors, which are pigments for contour lip makeup, into two types:

  • natural pigments: they are natural and correspond to the real shades as much as possible;
  • decorative pigments: their colors are reminiscent of the shades of traditional lipstick, they can vary from pale pink to deep burgundy.

Today fashion trends invite girls to focus on naturalness, so dark shades are practically not used . Having made a tattoo in soft tones, a woman gets the opportunity at any time to change the shade of her lips with lipstick to a darker and brighter one.

Duration of action of the pigment

To determine how long the coloring pigment will last on the lips of a woman, you need to take into account a lot of factors, of which will be the following: the duration of the action of the pigment.If a woman is very active, then the skin cells regenerate quite quickly, which means they die off and are removed, so the pigment will not linger for a long time.

  • Various kinds of procedures , including those of a cosmetic nature, for example, peeling, significantly shorten the life of the pigment.
  • Skin type also has a particular effect. If the latter is distinguished by the accelerated work of the sebaceous glands, then the pigment will be difficult to keep on the lips for a long time.
  • Age also matters, at the time of maturity all processes in the skin proceed more slowly, therefore the pigment will remain on the lips longer.
  • The pigment can be called an invasion of the human body , with which the immune system will surely begin to fight. The beauty of the lips after tattooing will depend on the activity of this work.
  • If a girl does not use sunscreens with a factor of at least 30 units, the pigment will break down faster.
  • Important to remember! The total period for which the pigment can stay on the lips of a woman is considered to be a period of two to seven years.

    Techniques for performing permanent makeup

    There are many technicians with the help of which lip tattooing is performed, a qualified master will definitely select the best option, having previously explained to the client the advantages and disadvantages of all methods.

    The following basic techniques can be distinguished:

    • contouring tattoo;
    • shading tattoo;
    • 3D effect tattoo;
    • watercolor tattoo technique.
    Lip contouring

    This technique is used in the case when a woman has problems with the clarity of the contour , most often it is slightly lost with age. That is why mature women most often choose this particular technique.

    The lip contouring pigments used in this technique are used exactly to match the lip’s own shade, or slightly darker, due to which the desired effect is achieved.

    Lips, after the performed manipulations, look as if they were brought in with a contour pencil.

    Lips, after the performed manipulations, look as if they were brought in with a contour pencil. A competent master selects the shades of the pigment as tactfully as possible so that the contour does not stand out too much against the background of the face.

    As a rule, the owners of lips with the correct shape are happy to go to this procedure, after which they get not only a well-defined shape, but also a bright shade.

    Lip tattooing with shading

    This technique is used in cases when women have not only not too clear lip contour, but also not too full lips. In this case, with the help of competently carried out tattooing, you can visually enlarge the lips and align their contour.

    It is customary to distinguish two types of such a tattoo technique:

    1. Permanent make-up with partial shading : most often captures one third of the lip. It is used in the case of pronounced asymmetry or not too smooth natural lip contour.Moreover, the color is selected exclusively at the request of the client, it can be as natural as possible, or somewhat darker.
    2. Full blend tattoo : used for contouring lips, which uses only pigments that completely change the color of the lips.

    Pay attention! An interesting effect has a tattoo, when the contour of the lips is shaded, and their middle remains the same color, as a rule, somewhat lighter. It looks pretty seductive, reminiscent of a slightly worn lipstick.And the lips in this case become much plump and more sensual.

    3D lip makeup

    This technique is considered the most difficult, but it is she who is able to correct the imperfections in the shape of the lips as accurately as possible, be it their asymmetry or fullness.

    The whole procedure can be divided into two steps:

    1. First you need to outline the lip contour. Then the patient goes home to come back after the time has passed when the swelling has subsided.
    2. In the next procedure, the master fills the entire surface of the lips with coloring pigment.

    Caution! After lip tattooing, carried out in the 3D technique, patients, at first, are prohibited not only from going out into the sun, but they will have to drink only with a straw.

    As it is clear from the described technique, in this case the woman receives not only the desired volume, but also a well-defined contour.

    Watercolor method

    The method of applying lip contouring in the style of watercolor, implies a procedure during which the pigments used for it are applied and immediately blended all over the lips.

    The contour remains unchanged. Thanks to this procedure, the greatest naturalness of the image is achieved.

    There are several undoubted advantages of this procedure:

    • masking of any lip defects;
    • adding volume to the lips;
    • Saturation of lips with a bright shade, thereby masking fine wrinkles;
    • lips get a fresh look, they look like they have just been painted with gloss;
    • dyes hold up well for several years in a row.

    Peculiarities of lip tattooing

    The main feature of the lip tattooing procedure is the need for thorough prevention of herpes. The virus of this disease is present in the majority of the world’s population, but it is precisely such a procedure that can activate it.

    That is why prophylaxis requires the mandatory intake of antiviral drugs according to the scheme, which will be appointed by the cosmetologist.

    How to choose a color for lip tattooing?

    For a tattoo to make a woman really attractive, it is important to know how to choose a color: lip tattoo will never look beautiful if you make a mistake with the color.

    Lip tattoo: what is it?

    This procedure consists of injecting dyes into the top layer of the skin. With the help of micropigmentation, you can emphasize or change the contour of the lips, make them bright and plump. There are several types of lip tattooing:

    1. Permanent lipstick, or “full fill” technique.This technique is suitable for women who do not like to waste time on lip makeup, but at the same time want to have the effect of already painted lips. Helps to increase the volume of lips, make them plump.
    2. Loop. If a woman has the correct lip shape, but not a very clear contour, this technique will suit her. It allows you to emphasize the natural contour. A woman can, at will, either not dye her lips at all, or dye them with lipstick of any color.
    3. Feathering. Such lip tattooing is used by women who want to slightly bring the lip contour beyond its natural boundaries.
    4. Light kayal. The technique is effective if a woman wants to add volume and relief to the lips. The effect is achieved using a light pigment, which the master injects below or above the natural borders of the mouth.
    5. 3D lip tattoo. With the help of a large number of colors that the master introduces into the dermis, the effect of voluminous and luscious lips is achieved. If other methods involve only one visit to the master, then when choosing this technique, the master will have to be visited at least three times.

    Regardless of which technique the girl prefers, it is extremely important to decide on the color of the dye that the master will inject under the skin.

    How to choose a color for lip tattooing?

    After choosing the technique for the correction, the choice of color is the second most important step.

    Some clients come to the master already knowing in advance what lip color they want. But most women still don’t know which color to choose. In both cases, the client is still better to listen to the opinion of the master. The same, by the way, applies to the form.

    How to choose a color? First of all, it depends on what the client herself wants.As a rule, the master has a palette of colors. The colors in it are divided into:

    • natural, which are as close as possible to the natural colors of the lips;
    • decorative, which imitate lipstick colors and range from light pink to dark shades.

    You need to choose a color based on your color type (hair, skin and eyes color). The colors in the palettes range from cool to warm, which will further simplify the task. Any permanent tattoo artist understands the color types and will definitely offer the option most suitable for this client.

    If a decade ago, girls preferred darker colors, especially for drawing outlines, now fashion trends have radically changed. Today, naturalness is in vogue, so it is better to give preference to colors that are most suitable for the natural lip color and color type, so that no one will guess that the girl has a tattoo.

    In addition, the close-to-natural colors allow you to experiment with different shades of lipsticks at any time. If you choose an initially bright or dark color of the dye, then experiments will become impossible, since lipstick may simply not cover the tattoo.

    When the client and the master have decided on the color, guided by the palette, the next step comes, namely the drawing of the desired contour, that is, the future shape of the sponges.

    Micropigmentation: preparation, implementation and care

    The procedure consists of two main stages:

    1. Preparation. It lies in the fact that 3 days before the appointed date of the tattoo, the girl should drink drugs for the prevention of herpes. It will not hurt to use an antiherpetic ointment.
    2. Procedure. It begins with the fact that the master and the client choose the color and shape they want to achieve. Then, using a very thin needle, the master makes a basting line. This is necessary in order to fix the contours of the lips. Then the master changes the needle to a thick one and makes a “final” contour. It is very important that it kind of diffuses. If a woman only wants to change or make the outline clearer, then the procedure ends for her. If the client wants to make a complete tattoo, then not only the contour is worked out, but the entire surface of the lips.This technique is called feathering. You need to be prepared for the fact that the procedure is somewhat painful. Of course, the master uses local anesthesia, but it will not completely remove the discomfort. The dyes are non-toxic and organic. The master introduces them into the upper layer of the epidermis.

    After the master has worked the entire surface of the skin, he applies a healing ointment on it and leaves it for 15 minutes, after which he removes the rest of it with a napkin. After that, a balm or oil is applied to the lips to promote healing.A woman should be mentally prepared for the fact that for the first 6 hours her lips will seem very large. When the swelling subsides, everything will look much better. However, until the final beautiful result, you will need to wait another 1 month. The first days after the procedure, the lips will be covered with a crust and will look very bright. Within 7 days, the crust will peel off and come off completely, but a film will remain in its place, which will also flake off for 14 days. And only after this time has passed, the woman will finally see the long-awaited result.Typically, a tattoo lasts from 2 to 3 years, although in some cases it can last for 5 years.

    Lip care after color correction

    This is the third stage, which completely depends on the woman herself. After the procedure, the master will recommend a remedy for quick wound healing. It should be applied regularly to the lips.

    During the entire healing period, it is necessary to use anti-herpes agents. About which remedy is better to use, you can consult the master.

    During the recovery period, there are quite a few prohibitions to remember. So, it is impossible:

    • to visit the pool, sauna, bathhouse, solarium;
    • drink alcohol and any hot liquids;
    • to steam the face;
    • perform inhalations, etc .;
    • to use decorative cosmetics.

    Even if the healing process is going well and the girl is not worried about anything, 7 days after the procedure, it is imperative to pay a visit to your master.Firstly, he will assess how well the healing process is going, and secondly, if necessary, he will make a correction, which involves the usual outline of the contour.

    04 Oct Secrets of determining skin tone – the key to a harmonious tattoo

    Published at 12:00 in Blog author: Kristina

    Before proceeding to the procedure of permanent lip tattoo , it is necessary to correctly determine the skin tone of the client – this will allow you to choose a pigment that is harmonious in color.

    The color shade of the skin is given by substances that are found in the human body, these are melanin, carotene and hemoglobin. With the formation of a certain amount of each substance that shines through the skin, your color type is formed. Thus, you can apply cosmetics to your face, to tan your skin, but the type and natural tone of your skin will never change. It will be visible to experienced beauticians. The skin color that never changes is found on the wrist. Colors range from cool bluish to warmer golden.An experienced specialist will definitely select the shades and pigments that are right for you, choose the colors given to you by nature.

    How to determine cold skin tone

    • Skin color grayish, bluish
    • Skin is snow-white or very light
    • No blush
    • Skin is light pink or with pink spots
    • -67 Tan is yellow brown
    • Skin tends to be oily, mixed skin
    Hair color:
    • Dark hair
    • Ash brown hair
    • Bluish-black
    • Hair with graying
    • Typically, the area under eyes also have a bluish tint

    How to determine warm skin tone
    Skin color:
    • Ivory skin
    • Freckled skin
    • Soft peach skin tone
    • Beige skin tone
    • Slightly red , after sunburn appears red brown tint
    • Skin prone to dryness or normal
    • Sensitive
    Hair color:
    • Brown-red
    • Golden blonde
    • Golden
    • Yellow or beige blonde

    The number of shades in the permanent can reach 300, and when they are mixed, this figure increases significantly! When working with a permanent, be sure to calculate the color that will turn out after the end of the work.And remember – a fresh permanent is always darker and brighter than a healed one. The laws of physics apply everywhere: light under the skin refracts, dims, or, for example, becomes colder or warmer. After a certain period of time, permanent makeup becomes much lighter, because we see it through the layer of new epidermis.

    Also, in a permanent tattoo, in no case should you use paints intended for tattooing. The reason is that these paints have a completely different chemical composition, and after application to the skin, the possibility of the pigment behaving unpredictably is very high.

    Why does the color change after micropigmentation?

    If the color after application changes its shade and becomes cold, despite the fact that you wanted to make a warm shade, this means that you have chosen the wrong dyes. For permanent make-up, it is very important to know the colors; without this knowledge, you risk making many unnecessary mistakes in your work, which in the future will require constant corrections.

    How to choose a pigment after determining the color type of the skin?

    The main requirement for permanent tattooing is that it should look as natural as possible and not attract attention with its unnatural appearance, not produce the effect of a painted doll face.During the first procedure, it is undesirable to choose very dark tones. You should also choose a contrast, for example, with a cold color type, choose warmer shades, with a warm beige, on the contrary, cold. If the lips are cold, a warm shade of pigment will work well for them. When using cold colors (cherry or raspberry tint), the lips may appear bluish. Therefore, always use opposite pigments, so the color will be softer and more natural.

    Colors in tattooing. How to choose the color of the pigment?

    The purpose of permanent makeup is to help you change your appearance for the better. The technology is safe for human health and has an excellent effect.

    The dye, which is injected into the upper layers of the skin, looks natural and retains its color saturation for several years. To achieve the most natural result, it is important to choose the right pigments for the tattoo.

    Following the basic rules of coloring, not only an experienced master, but also a novice specialist is able to cope with this task.

    Basic principles of coloring in tattooing

    According to experts in the field of permanent makeup coloristics, you should not strive to create bright and unusual images. The fact is that tattooing lasts more than one year, and overly saturated shades can quickly get bored. If you want to remove the pigment without waiting for it to fade on its own, you will have to pay a lot of money. This procedure is performed using a laser, and this is an expensive pleasure.

    So that the face after tattooing does not resemble a doll with too dark eyebrows and very bright lips, experts recommend turning to natural colors.Pastel shades will help create a harmonious permanent make-up.

    It will look natural and at the same time emphasize the dignity of its owner’s appearance. It is easy to supplement it with decorative cosmetics. Light shades are easy to cover with brighter eyeshadow or lipstick. And such a tattoo is now at the height of fashion.

    Experts identify a few key points that, according to color basics, have a major influence on the outcome.

    • Skin color.This concept means the color type given to a person by nature. The most common classification is by analogy with the seasons: winter-spring-summer-autumn, as well as the degree of warmth of shades – cold or warm. If the color type is cold, the skin on the face is light in tone, close to white and almost without blush. There may be a slight admixture of blue or gray. As the skin heals, the pigment tone will become even colder. With a warm color type, there is usually a blush on the face, and the skin has a pink tone.When pigment is injected into the epidermis and then the skin heals, almost subtle red tones can appear in the drawing. Color experts advise taking these points into account when choosing a dye, so that in the end there are no shades that you did not plan to get.
    • Skin type. Experienced colorists take into account the physiology of a particular person, the characteristics of his skin. The age of the client is taken into account. It is known that over time, the processes of cellular regeneration in the human body become slower.This means that the retention period of the pigment in the skin is increased. However, in this case, grayish and bluish tones will appear in the drawing when the lips are tattooed. It is important to take this factor into account when choosing a dye. In addition, it is worth seeing if there are age spots and freckles on the face, scars and scars, vascular reticulum (rosacea).
    • The depth to which the pigment is injected. This indicator determines the degree of saturation of the finished color. By injecting the dye deeper, the shade will appear darker and colder as the skin heals.The reason lies in its ability to neutralize warm tones: this process is called the Tyndall effect in the colors of permanent makeup.
    • Density of staining. This parameter corresponds to a specific technique, including watercolor, ombre, feathering, 3D effect, and others. When using each of the methods, the density with which the pigment is injected under the skin is different. How clear and saturated the contours of the pattern are, determines the frequency with which the needle pierces the epidermis.At higher values, the brightness of the final shade increases, it becomes darker.

    If we compare all four named factors in terms of the degree of influence on the final effect, the primacy will go to the natural color type. This means that mistakes in the choice of a pigment cannot be corrected due to its competent administration.

    Indeed, in the vast palette of ready-made paints, there is not always what is needed for a particular person.

    Permanent make-up is a difficult and painstaking job.And coloristics plays an important role in it. Without knowledge of its basics, the ability to work with a color palette, make predictions of the final result and changes in shade in the process of color burnout, a qualified master simply cannot do.

    Lip tattooing how to choose a color: professional secrets

    Lip tattooing consists in applying a special dye under the top layer of the skin. Thanks to this, it will be possible to obtain the most natural and attractive result. The main task of the procedure is to create a clear lip contour. When performing this make-up, special pain relievers and cosmetic tools are used.However, the key is to find the right color for the dye.

    Changing shades during tattooing

    In order to correctly select a pigment, it is worth considering important features. First of all, the color of the dye during implantation into the skin of the lips can change . This is often forgotten by novice masters who select the pigment based on the client’s preferences.

    Qualified liner specialists always take into account the behavior of the pigments and give preference to those tones that give the desired result.

    To avoid serious mistakes, it is worth evaluating the color palette – cold and warm colors.

    Of course, for bright make-up options, you should choose saturated pigments. However, you need to work with them very carefully, since in the end there is a risk of getting a bluish tint. When choosing a bright option, you should not try to inject a large amount of dye at once.

    If the master does not have the necessary experience, it is much safer to cover the lips less tightly.In some cases, two tattooing procedures are required. Thanks to this, the beautician is able to assess the behavior of the pigment on the lips. If the result is beautiful, you can continue to use the dye. When you change the hue, it will be possible to make adjustments.

    Beginners should study the behavior of various pigments after implantation. This will take a lot of time, because the results differ significantly for different clients. This is influenced by the color and type of skin, the characteristics of the blood circulation and the healing process.

    Should I take into account the natural shade of the lips

    When choosing a colorant, it is very important to take into account the condition of the red border of the lips. The paler it is, the more shades you can get when performing a tattoo. If the mucous membrane has a lilac or bluish color, certain problems may arise when applying the dye.

    When it breaks through the skin, the pigment has a colder shade. If the lips have a lilac color, this effect will only intensify. Therefore, even during the consultation, the master must explain these features to the client.

    If you want to apply the dye in a sufficiently dense layer, you need to give preference to warm shades. To increase the volume and accentuate the contour, you can use pigments of cool tones, which are in harmony with the cold skin tone. However, in this case, when performing tattooing, the dye must be applied loosely in order to get the perfect result.

    Features of the choice of colors

    Some girls are predetermined with the desired color.However, in most cases, it is difficult for the fair sex to make a choice. In any case, be sure to listen to the opinion of a specialist.

    How to make the right choice? First of all, you need to consider your preferences. Usually, craftsmen have their own palettes of shades. They divide the colors into the following categories:

    • natural, which match the natural skin tone as much as possible;
    • decorative, which allow you to simulate lipstick tones – in this case, the shades can vary from fairly light pink to very dark.

    When choosing a color scheme for tattooing, you need to take into account the color type of your appearance . Shades in palettes can be warm and cold, which greatly simplifies the task. Any linergy specialist is well versed in the color types of appearance, and therefore can offer the girl the ideal option.

    A few years ago, the fair sex preferred rather dark shades. They were especially often used for contouring.However, fashion trends have changed significantly today.

    Girls prefer to choose tones that match the natural skin tone as much as possible and are combined with the color type of appearance.

    Thanks to this solution, when performing tattooing, every girl can endlessly experiment with lipsticks of various shades. If you immediately give preference to a saturated tone, all experiments will be impossible, since with the help of cosmetics it will not be possible to cover the tattoo.

    When performing permanent make-up, it is very important to choose the right color scheme of the dye. This should be done taking into account the natural skin tone and color type of appearance. Thanks to this, it will be possible to obtain the most natural and attractive result.
