Katy Perry is something of a beauty chameleon. She’s sampled almost every hair colour, can rock a statement lip just as well as a neutral shade and her big blue eyes are completely captivating. While her makeup routine is no doubt always changing, one thing remains consistent: Perry’s bombshell eyelashes. Full of volume, the secret to her iconic lashes is more than an excellent mascara—it’s the work of lash extensions.

We spoke to Good Gosh Beauty extension expert Lauren Kurtz about our quest to get the Katy Perry look. Whether you want to try a set of lash extensions or aspire to DIY it at home with false lashes, Kurtz has you covered. If you have small or brittle lashes, extensions are a great way to naturally enhance your eyes. One-by-one, a lash artist will adhere individual synthetic lashes onto your own, making them longer, thicker and curvier—and they can last up to a month. If it’s just a one-night fix you seek, Kurtz shares her foolproof tips for false eyelash application. Read on and see just how easy is it to get Katy Perry’s bombshell eyelash look.

Option 1: Go to a lash artist
If you don’t have a photo of Katy Perry handy, ask for regular or thick volume lashes in a B or C shaped curl, in lengths ranging from 9mm to 14mm. Your lash artist should apply the longest lashes to the centre of the eye for a big, open-eyed bombshell effect. Try: The Audrey lash extensions ($200, goodgoshbeauty.com)

Tip: Have lashes applied at least two days before your debut as the adhesive needs 24-48 hours to fully cure.  Keep them dry and away from water during that period (shower and wash your hair the morning of your lash appointment). The final results are fireworks!

Option 2: DIY your lashes at home
One: Choose a set of dense, evenly dispersed lashes with the longest lashes in the center of the strip (not the end, or else it will look more cat-eye than bombshell). Try: Make Up For Ever False Lashes in “Renee” ($19, sephora.ca)

Two: Curl and apply mascara, such as Cover Girl Bombshell Volume Mascara ($12, available December 2013 at drugstores), to your own lashes before you begin. This will help them blend seamlessly with the artificial set.

Tip: Apply eyeliner close to your lash line. This will help conceal your eyelid, especially if your first application attempt is a little off-balance.

Three: Carefully peel each strip out of its case (save the case, as all lashes are reusable) and, before applying any adhesive, measure the lashes by lightly pressing each strip’s inner corner to the inner corners of your natural lashes. If the false lashes are longer than your natural lash line, trim small amounts at a time from the outer corners of the strip only until it fits the length of your eyelid.

Tip: If your eyes turn downwards at the outer corners, trim the lash strips so they end  before  your own lashes, as this will create more of a lift.

Four: Wiggle the lash strip by holding each end of the band between thumb and index finger (like a teeter-totter). Once it’s softened up, it will shape more easily to your eye. Apply a thin line of Duo Eyelash Adhesive ($12, sephora.ca) to the band of the strip and wave delicately in the air for 10 seconds until the glue is slightly tacky—this makes it easier to maneuver on the lash line.

Five: Using tweezers or your fingers, match the inner corners of the strip and your own lashes, slowly press the strip band on your natural lashes and work your way to the outer corners. Move the band up or down until it’s dry and feels comfortable.

Tip: Tilt your head back when applying and, if possible, use a magnifying mirror for a better view.

Six: At the end of the night, gently peel the lash strip off, clean the strip with an oil-free eye makeup remover, such as Philosophy Just Release Me Makeup Remover ($23, sephora.ca) and replace them in the case they came in. They can be reused until they look sparse or misshapen.

Katy Perry Lashes Created by Eylure | Makeup

Katy Perry teamed up with with eyelash manufacture Eylure to create her own brand of false lashes in 2012. Her first collection featured four textures of black lashes: dainty “Sweetie Pie,” full but natural “Oh, Honey!,” “Cool Kitty” with angled tips, and the double-thick “Oh, My!” She’s since added more lash textures with names like “Punk Princess,” “Feline Fierce,” and “Banging Beauty.”

The collaboration has been so successful that it has spun off two sub-collections. The Katy Perry Color Pop Lashes sells individual lashes and lash strips in colors like green, blue, and purple. It features a comic-book style cartoon of Katy on the box. The Limited Edition Katy Perry Party Lashes collection sells blinged-out styles with jewels, glitter, and studs. They come in metallic boxes.

Some styles are self-adhesive while other are applied with lash glue. All of the lashes are handmade, 100% natural and each style is reusable.

About Katy Perry

Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), better known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. She had limited exposure to secular music during her childhood and pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records, and released her debut studio album, Katy Hudson, in 2001. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music. After being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a deal with Capitol Records in April 2007.

We Test It: Katy Perry’s False Eyelash Line

From her blue and pink hair to her outrageous stage costumes and daring makeup choices, we love Katy Perry’s over-the-top pop star style. One thing the starlet swears by is false lashes, which she considers one of her biggest beauty secrets. The songstress actually taught herself to apply false lashes by watching YouTube videos.

While we’ve always found false lashes to be a bit of a time-consuming look, we couldn’t help but get excited for Katy Perry’s recently launched false eyelash line, Katy Perry Lashes by Eylure. The singer has four different sets of lashes available, one for daytime (Sweetie Pie), one for day to evening (Oh, Honey!), a pair for evening (Cool Kitty), and of course a set for being ultra glamourous (Oh, My!).

Katy Perry’s own favourite pairs of her lashes are the day-to-evening set, Oh, Honey!, thanks to the vintage appeal of the lashes, and Cool Kitty for evening, because the manicured tips add a little something extra when she’s rocking the smoky look.

Our favourite pair is Sweetie Pie, because it looks surprisingly natural and actually feels quite lightweight on our lids. The added length and volume isn’t overwhelming, so it never feels like, “Oh, my! I’m wearing false lashes!” And even though Katy uses this pair for a daytime look, we actually found it’s elegant enough for night, if you just want your lashes to look subtly enhanced. The reusable lashes are easy to apply, so they didn’t actually add that much time to our makeup prep, and – you know what – they did make us feel like a teenage dream! It’s nice to know we all have an inner Katy Perry.

We used Katy Perry’s own easy tips to apply the lashes. Here are here personal tips:

Tip 1: After applying the glue to the lash, leave until sticky. If you do, the lash will stick properly the first time. We find it best to leave the lashes for about 20-30 seconds after applying the glue.

Tip 2: When applying the lashes, get them as close to the lash line as you can. If there is still a small gap don’t worry, you can use a soft eyeliner to simply fill in the space.

Tip 3: A great idea is to use a cotton swab/bud or tip to just lift the lashes up (after the glue is dry), this will ensure lashes are level.

Katy Perry is famous for her powerhouse voice, her larger than life fashions and sparkling personality — oh and that recent divorce! — but the singer is pretty beauty savvy, too. Fresh off a huge world tour, Perry is launching her own custom brand of eyelashes, Katy Perry Eyelashes by Eylure, with ULTA Beauty stores.

The sexy singer celebrated the launch just yesterday at The Americana in Glendale in a head-to-toe blue ensemble. We’re simply obsessed with the flirty silhouette of this curve-hugging dress — aren’t you?!

The new line features three different types of lashes: Katy Perry Oh, Honey! Lashes, a flattering full lash, that takes lashes from fine to fab; Katy Perry Sweetie Pie Lashes, a natural hair lash that discreetly adds length and volume to lashes; and Katy Perry Oh, My! Lashes, big and beautiful with a layered effect.

This isn’t Perry’s first beauty venture, though. The California girl has formerly released a nail polish line with OPI and several fragrances, serves as a spokesperson for Proactiv and has partnered up with hair care experts ghd for an iconic hair campaign.

Perry has had lots of success in the beauty field, and it’ll be interesting to see how her new eyelash line does! But we want to know: Will you be buying them? Sound off in the comments!

Sore eyes, bad backs, low pay: the cost of false eyelash glamour | Indonesia

The Victoria and Albert Museum has tossed a grenade into the debate on the ethics of cheap fashion with two controversial acquisitions. The museum wants to add a pair of Katy Perry false eyelashes to its collection, along with some Primark jeans made in the Rana Plaza factory that collapsed in Dhaka this year.

The planned new exhibits at the London museum are part of a new “rapid response” strategy aimed at securing items that have become newsworthy. But their inclusion promises to be an embarrassment to the companies that sell them, focusing attention on the low wages paid to workers.

One of the main reasons for their selection is that they are made by workers who are paid minimal, albeit legal, wages that anti-poverty campaigners say are significantly lower than a living wage would be in their countries of residence. The Primark jeans were made by Bangladeshi workers earning £24 a month – or about 12p an hour. Women who make Eylure’s Katy Perry range of false eyelashes in Indonesia start on about £50 a month – equivalent to 29p an hour, or about 8p for every pair they make. The lashes sell for £5.95 in the UK.

Kieran Long, senior V&A curator in charge of the collection, has argued that “ugly and sinister objects demand the museum’s attention just as much as beautiful and beneficial ones do”.

The decision to acquire the Primark jeans was made in response to the Rana Plaza factory disaster in April. More than 1,100 people died after workers were told to remain at their stations despite large cracks appearing in the walls.

Long – who presents the BBC TV programmes Restoration Home and The House that £100K Built – said he decided he also wanted the eyelashes in the collection after reading about the way in which they were made.

“Globalised consumerism is a phenomenon that deliberately removes production to a distant location, and the making of many of the things we buy is therefore invisible to us,” he said.

“It should come as little surprise that exploitation of the workforce sometimes ensues. The V&A isn’t a campaigning body, but its task is to collect for posterity and display critical moments in the history of manufacturing and design.” He said the lashes were “quite astonishing pieces of craftsmanship”, but that discovering the conditions in which they were made had convinced him that the museum – which courted controversy this year when it bought prototypes of the first 3D printed gun – should help to deepen the public’s understanding of the process. “The V&A has many objects from history made by enslaved workers, or those under various kinds of oppression. Sometimes we tell those stories, and sometimes we do not. I think future researchers will look back on the early 21st century and want to find serious research about how things were made in a globalised consumer economy.”

Eylure’s parent company is adamant that the Katy Perry range of lashes is made legally by its supplier, PT Royal Korindah, inside the firm’s factory in the town of Purbalingga in central Java, Indonesia. But questions have been raised about Korindah’s operations and the conduct of the wider false eyelash industry in Indonesia. Stars such as Perry and Cheryl Cole have helped to turn false eyelashes into a £110m-a-year industry in the UK alone.

Many of the biggest names in fashion source from factories in Purbalingga, including L’Oréal, Shu Uemura, MAC, Kiss, Make Up For Ever and Maybelline. The small town in central Java has proved attractive to the South Korean-dominated industry because of its comparatively low legal minimum wage, less than half that in the capital, Jakarta.

It is a job for young women, requiring total concentration; workers say it leaves them with sore eyes and aching limbs and backs. By the time they reach 40, their eyesight is too poor, according to the Royal Korindah factory manager, Very Anjarwinarto. Workers in Royal Korindah’s main factory do earn the legal minimum, but it has also employed hundreds more women in satellite workshops where wage slips reveal that they can receive just half the legal minimum – about 4p for each pair they make.

The situation is even more desperate for women who work from their own homes. Companies less reputable than Korindah pay these young women as little as 1p a pair to knit strands of hair into the basic lashes that will eventually end up on western shelves.

The Asia Floor Wage Alliance – which campaigns for workers’ rights in the region – calculates that a family of four in Indonesia needs £166 a month to cover their basic needs.

About 90% of the estimated 100,000 workers employed in the false eyelash business in Purbalingga are women. In one house Friti, 20, a new mother nursing a baby, said she was making lashes for Royal Korindah’s partnership workshop in Arenan for just 2p a pair. She was previously employed in the workshop, but quit when she was seven months pregnant. Now she juggles caring for the baby with making eyelashes for the company on her own loom, sitting on the rough concrete floor of her dark and empty home, with its breezeblock-and-bamboo walls. The child lies on a blanket behind her.

“I finished school, but did not have the money to go on in higher education, though I would have liked to,” she said. “I wanted to be a teacher, but now I think I will always be doing this, because I don’t know what else to do. Sometimes I feel dizzy and I have problems with my eyes, but I can’t afford glasses. I’ve never worn false eyelashes, but I think I’d quite like to try a pair, just to know how it feels.”

In another house, 20-year-old Kuswati bent over her loom, concentrating hard on threading hairs. She was born with no arms and uses her toes to make the lashes for a different factory – which does not supply Eylure – and is paid 1p a pair.

“I have been making eyelashes since I was 15. I use my feet to thread them,” she said. “We often ask for more money because the price is too low and after working for a long time we do get tired.”

PT Royal Korindah was founded in 1976 and has established itself as the leading manufacturer, popular with international brands. The hair has to be about 20cm long. It is first boiled and dyed before being knitted into lashes, after which it is ironed, cut and rolled. The lashes are placed in an oven to fix the curl and cut again to give them a style before they are packaged.

“Labour is the expensive process,” said manager Anjarwinarto. “The material is not expensive, but it is all handmade. It is mostly [done by] women. Men are not patient enough to do the job.”

Women start in the factory at 18 and work until they are about 40, “because after that their eyes go”. They can make a single strip in about 10 minutes, depending on the complexity. Anjarwinarto said they can average 30 to 40 pieces a day.

Last year the Purbalingga Manpower Agency complained that thousands of workers – a third of those employed in the industry in the area – were being paid less than the minimum wage.

Eylure’s parent company, Original Editions, welcomed the investigation, but said it was unaware that Royal Korindah was subcontracting. There is no suggestion that any of the other western fashion companies which source from factories in Purbalingga were aware of the arrangement. Royal Korindah did not respond to requests for comment on its subcontracting arrangements.

A spokesman stressed that the Katy Perry range of eyelashes was made in the main factory, where the minimum wage or higher is paid. “We welcome reporters visiting the false lash facility and acknowledge that Eylure does work with Royal Korindah, which is understood to be one of the best and most respected facilities in Indonesia, used by a number of leading brands and which contributes enormously to the local community.

“Royal Korindah pays the minimum wage set by the Indonesian government or higher. We do not work with any sub-factories or partnerships factories in the production of our products.”

Enhance your lashes a little…or a lot with Eylure

False eyelashes. Aside from a bit of testing here and there for we heart this, it is unknown territory to me. When I found out I was on falsies duty, I got a bit nervous because of my lack of experience with them. I’ve seen lots of reality shows where overemotional girls break down and their fake eyelashes end up halfway off and…you know what I’m talking about.

Despite all my hesitations, I had so much fun playing around with these lashes by Eylure. I learned how quickly false eyelashes can fix up a look and take you from day to night in a jiffy.

You may have heard of Eylure, or at least have seen their products in stores practically everywhere. This European brand started out in 1947 and is popular worldwide for their false eyelash selection as well as their recent Katy Perry collaboration. The wht team was happy to receive the Eylure Naturalites Lashes and their super cute Katy Perry Lashes to test.

If you love a light, natural feel to your lashes then you will love their Naturalites line. I tested two Naturalites styles and eyeliner isn’t even needed here to rock these lashes.

I found that Naturalites Style 155 ($4.99) was definitely more of a daytime lash. Of the two I was naturally drawn to 155 because even though they are more natural, they still provided a lot more length to my real lashes.

Naturalites Style 156 is definitely more of a va-va-voom nighttime lash. This set is really unique, with a mix of long and short full lashes. Both sets were lightweight, feathery and felt really good on my lash line.

Next up I tried two sets from Eylure’s Katy Perry line. All of the lashes in this line are handmade and 100% natural. The packaging for her lashes is too adorable, right? They cost just a bit more but I think they are worth it.

Fun fact: Katy learned how to apply false eyelashes by watching Youtube tutorials! Ah, something we can all relate to.

I first tried the Sweetie Pie set ($6.99). This is the daintiest pair from the Katy Perry line, and also the most natural I’ve ever seen on me.

Katy Perry Eyelashes- Sweetie Pie

This set is so natural, that I don’t even look like I’m wearing falsies…but that I was born with pretty, perfectly curled lashes. This was the pair that I felt confident strolling into the grocery store and not look like I’m heading out for the night.

The next pair I tried is called Oh Honey! ($6. 99) These were really fun: more dramatic in length but not too heavy on the volume. I loved how these looked with my eye shape!

Katy Perry Eyelashes- Oh Honey!

All Eylure lashes come with a tube of lash glue and instructions, making application a breeze.
A wide range of lashes to try, depending on your desired look!
Easy to apply, once you get the hang of it.
They are reusable and contact lens friendly!

None that I can think of…these are awesome lashes!

Katy Perry is a world famous American pop singer and actress who, in addition to performance, writes music and lyrics herself. During her musical career, Katie has received hundreds of nominations and awards from the most prestigious music awards: American Music Awards, Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and many others. According to Maxim magazine, the girl is on the list of the 100 most beautiful and sexy women in the world.

Katy Perry is the face of Moschino, H&M and Cover Girl. She also launched her own perfume brand Katy Perry, which is incredibly popular, especially among fans of the star.

Katy Perry can be safely called one of the brightest and most memorable young stars in Hollywood. The singer loves to experiment with her looks and images.

Her sincere radiant smile and frequent transformations attract the attention of cameras and paparazzi. She has expressive external data and tries to emphasize them even more with the help of unusual outfits, bright makeup and hairstyles.Katie has appeared on the red carpet as the burlesque queen, glamor diva, mermaids and pin-up girl. A distinctive feature of all her outfits and images is rich, explosive colors, a lot of glitter, sparkles and colors.

Katy Perry is one of the stars of retro style. She can often be seen at ceremonies and in everyday life in dresses and jumpsuits, which were at the peak of popularity in the 1950s, with perfectly styled wavy curls and classic makeup. The girl loves to experiment not only with the length, but also with the color of her hair. Over the past few years, the singer has appeared in public with black, blue, crimson, green, blue and red hair.

Katy Perry has very large, expressive blue-gray eyes that, even without the use of decorative cosmetics, attract attention. Her thick, voluminous and lush eyelashes make her look like a Barbie doll, and her pink, airy dresses match this look even more.

One of the star’s calling cards is cat’s eye makeup. The girl often emphasizes not only her eyes, but also her lips with a bright palette. Katie loves to do smoky eyes makeup, eyeliner, and draw the lower eyelid with a pencil of white, gray, green and even blue. Such a combination of colors, classic black on the upper eyelid and some unusual color on the lower, visually enlarge her eyes and give them a special magnetism and mystery. The girl loves to draw arrows and often experiments with their size and shape.

Most often, her upper eyelid is decorated with a thick graphic black arrow with a small tail up. In order for the eye makeup to last as long as possible, and the shades to look even more saturated, we recommend that you use the base under the shadow NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP EYE SHADOW BASE on the entire movable eyelid. Most often, the singer uses lipsticks in juicy, saturated shades: hot pink, red, cherry and berry. Less commonly, it can be seen on lips with glossy sheen in brown and pink tones.

Katy Perry rarely uses self-tanners and bronzers, and vice versa, she tries to emphasize and even out her natural skin tone. It conceals problem skin under a thin layer of foundation with a matting effect and fixes it with a loose powder with a radiant effect. Check out the 6-color compact face and body powder NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP RADIANT FINISHING POWDER.

If you have oily, problem skin with enlarged pores and acne, like Katy Perry, use not a regular foundation, but one that contains absorbent components (particles) that absorb excess sebum and have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action.Pay attention to the matte foundation NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP STAY MATTE BUT NOT FLAT .

To make her eyebrows look thicker and more precise, the singer uses a pencil of black or gray-black shade. To make the eyebrows more saturated color, it is worth drawing them in short, thin strokes and shading them with a special brush. You can fix the eyebrows on top with a special transparent wax or eyebrow tint gel. Pay attention to eyebrow pencil NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP AUTO EYEBROW PENCIL .

For a more flirty and romantic look, Katie likes to add a drop of pink or peach blush to her cheeks. For a more solemn occasion, you can apply a thin layer of liquid pearlescent highlighter to the upper part of the cheekbones and carefully blend it towards the temples. When using shining decorative tools, you definitely need to know when to stop, because it is very easy to overdo it with them.

It is impossible to imagine Katy Perry’s makeup without thick and lush eyelashes. If you have thin and short eyelashes, and volumizing mascara does not give the desired effect, use false eyelashes, which will completely transform your appearance in just a few minutes and make you a real queen of the evening. Pay attention to the collection of false eyelashes NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP WICKED LASHES.

How to glue eyelashes: step by step instructions and tips

How to glue false eyelashes: Pixabay

Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian made false eyelashes the main highlight of their look. With their help, it is possible to make the eyes larger and more expressive, and the look – seductive and playful. Do not be inferior to the stars, with the help of experts from Cosmopolitan and Elle, how to glue false eyelashes.

How to glue false eyelashes: preparation, tips

Before figuring out how to properly glue false eyelashes, decide which lashes to give preference to. Cosmopolitan says that there are two types of eyelashes – bundles and tape:

  1. The first consists of several cilia. With their help, it will be possible to independently choose the shape and density of the eyelashes. Beams are of different lengths, densities and densities.
  2. Belt belts differ from bundles in that their shape has already been determined by the manufacturer. There are two effects of such eyelashes – doll and cat:

  • In the latter case, the shortest eyelashes are located in the inner corner of the eye, which gradually lengthen towards the outer corner.Thus, it is possible to achieve a seductive effect;
  • doll-like eyelashes help open your eyes. They differ in the same length from the outer to the inner corner. There is an option with extended eyelashes in the middle. This look focuses on the center of the eye, so it is not suitable for ladies with round eyes.

Of course, before you stick your eyelashes to yourself, it is important to remember the basic rules. Follow our recommendations and the procedure will go flawlessly:

  1. Before you stick your eyelashes, choose the glue. Give preference to a hypoallergenic product. If you plan to spend time outdoors, play it safe and get waterproof glue so that the rain does not spoil your beauty.
  2. If you do not know how to glue eyelashes, and are going to carry out the procedure for the first time, do not experiment before an important event. Practice ahead of time. The first attempt may not meet expectations, and after the test you will know exactly how to act correctly.
  3. Try on your lashes before applying. In most cases, the standard size will be overkill. If so, cut off the excess outside corner of the tape with scissors. If this is not done, the artificial hairs will get in the way after gluing.
  4. Apply lashes in a lighted room to see any errors and correct them immediately.
  5. Before applying the lashes, prepare the tools: curler, tweezers, cotton swabs, glue.
  6. Calculate the correct time required to bond the bundles. On average, one takes up to five minutes.
  7. If you want to create very thick and lush lashes, use bundles of different lengths. Glue the longest ones at the outer corner of the eye, and the short ones at the inner corner. If the bundles are the same length, then trim them exactly to the required mark.
  8. Always remove your eyelashes before bed. Otherwise, they may break, come off and damage the eye.
  9. Do not wash with fake lashes.
  10. If you want to make your makeup as eye-catching and enlarging as possible, take the advice of Elle experts and use mascara on your false eyelashes. However, do this only after the glue has dried on the eyelids.
  11. Do not throw away ribbons or bundles after the first use: they can be reused. At the same time, it is important to properly care for false eyelashes, which will be discussed in more detail below.

How to glue false eyelashes: step by step instructions

Regardless of which lashes you decide to use, apply makeup first. For a delicate nude look, stick with an eyelid primer and eyeshadow in soothing shades. Curl your lashes using a curler. Thus, it will be possible to obtain a so-called framework, which will improve the attachment of artificial hairs.

To make the artificial hairs look natural, use a soft black pencil to work through the space between the eyelashes and the mucous membrane of the upper eyelid. Apply mascara to your eyelashes and wait until it dries.

Now let’s talk more about how to glue eyelashes at home:

Glue eyelashes easy:

  1. Apply glue in a thin layer along the length of the tape.
  2. Wait two to three seconds.
  3. Using tweezers, place the lashes at the outer corner as close to the natural growth line as possible. Line up your outermost lash with the last in the tape.
  4. Gently press the lashes with your finger.
  5. Wait a couple of minutes for the tape to adhere firmly.
  6. To hide the seam area, line up the lash line with black eyeliner.

How to glue bunched eyelashes

It is not difficult to glue this type of eyelashes. The main thing is not to rush:

  1. Apply glue to a palette or hand.
  2. Take a bunch of tweezers, dip its base in glue. Remember: a small drop is enough.
  3. Use tweezers to place the bunch near the root of natural lashes, wait two to three seconds, release the artificial hairs.
  4. If you need to move the bundle slightly, use a cotton swab.
  5. Repeat the procedure with the desired number of beams. To create a natural effect, just glue a few artificial eyelashes in the outer corner of the eye.If you want to achieve a dramatic and defiant look, glue tufts along the entire lash line.
  6. Wait until the glue is completely dry and comb the artificial hairs, connecting them with your own. Lightly paint over with ink if desired.

90,000 Nyusha and Irina Dubtsova stopped painting

(Kazan, January 14, “Tatar-inform”).While glossy publications demonstrate the wonders of Photoshop, Western and domestic paparazzi give us the opportunity to see how Hollywood stars and domestic celebrities look without makeup.

We have already seen how the singer Beyoncé, actress Scarlett Johansson, supermodel Kate Moss, as well as Demi Moore, Vanessa Paradis, Katy Perry and even Marilyn Manson look without makeup. Without the make-up layer that has become customary, domestic stars of show business “shone” as well: Ksenia Sobchak, Anfisa Chekhova, Olga Buzova, Natasha Koroleva, Nastya Stotskaya.

It should be noted that the stars themselves are not against natural “onions” and often publish photos on Instagram in their natural form.

Participant of the TV project “Star Factory”, songwriter and singer Irina Dubtsova delighted her fans with a new picture. She posted a photo on her Instagram page and showed how she looks without makeup. In the caption to the photo, Irina shared with fans that due to the busy work schedule, she feels tired, and she only has a few hours to sleep.Fans began to console the singer, noting that she already looks great.

25-year-old actress, singer and composer Anna Shurochkina, better known under the pseudonym Nyusha, shared another selfie on her Instagram page. The Russian socialite always appears before the public in various stage images, and only now many fans have seen her without makeup. This photo caused a lot of controversy in the ranks of Nyusha’s fans, and some did not even recognize a domestic singer in a beautiful girl.“What I’m thinking at this moment – no one knows, so let it be my secret,” Anna wrote under the photo.

The opinions of subscribers were divided into 2 fronts: some wrote that she was very cute, while others noted that the singer “Not at all like that”, “The eyebrows are not so beautiful.”

Cosmetic calculator – checking the batch code, decoding the date of manufacture and determining the shelf life of cosmetics

What is a beauty calculator for?
It often happens that cosmetic products do not have the date of manufacture and expiration date in the usual format for us: date, month, year, this is very important for products purchased, for example, abroad. And even when there are stickers indicating the production date and expiration date, sometimes they turn out to be incorrect and you may get an expired item. The manufacturers themselves always indicate the date of manufacture, more often in the form of a code consisting of Latin letters and numbers – batch code . You can decipher such a code using our cosmetic calculator.

Also, almost always on the package or the product itself, the shelf life after opening is indicated, in the form of a jar with an open lid and the number of months – 12M, 6M, etc.The lower this number, the less preservatives in the product. Most unopened products have a shelf life of 36 months (3 years) under the correct storage conditions; for cosmetics that are natural or organic, the shelf life may be shorter. Using this form, you can decipher the codes of some cosmetic companies. The code can be found on the packaging or the product itself, at the bottom or at the bottom, on the products in tubes, the code is indicated on the seam.

To determine the date of manufacture and expiration date , select the brand you need in the cosmetic calculator, enter the batch code (there can be only Latin letters and numbers) and click the calculate button.
The data in the line Best before means that this is the last month when the tool can be used, that is, Good before: October 2012 means that this is October 2012 – the last month when the tool is good.

Please note that manufacturers of cosmetics and perfumery use the same code options for their perfumery products as for cosmetics, but the shelf life for perfumery may be longer.

If the calculator displays the message “You have entered a code that is not a batch code or it is not yet supported.” – this does not mean that your product is a fake, it is just that there is no decryption for this type of code yet (there may be several types of codes and their decryption for one brand) or you enter a code that is not a batch code, for example, a barcode. Software The date of manufacture is not decrypted by the barcode, the result of checking the barcode can only be the country of the mark For some variants of codes, the date of manufacture and expiration date may be determined by mistake.

Attention! All data provided by the section “Cosmetic calculator” are informative and recommendatory in nature, we do not guarantee the relevance, correctness and completeness of this information. For exact information, please contact the official representatives of the brand.

Pin-up bachelorette party. Doing makeup and hair

Before the wedding, the bride holds a bachelorette party with her friends, a party where the girls relax and say goodbye to the bride’s unmarried life.Recently, they have been popular, as it is interesting, to try on a different role, to be in a different era for a while.

At the same time, you need to think over the details so that everything fits the chosen theme. One of the directions of such parties is the pin-up style, which comes to us from the middle of the last century.

In the middle of the last century, it was fashionable to attach posters or photographs of famous people, movie stars, models to the wall.

The bride must compare herself with such stars of those years as Brigitte Bardot, Betgy Grable and other bright stars and beauties.

The main thing is to choose the right music, to create the correct and accurate images, and such a party will be remembered for a long time.

You can also contact the agency, and the professionals will help you organize an unforgettable evening, they certainly will not miss a few trifles!

What to wear for a pin-up bachelorette party

T-shirts may have photographs of the stars of that time. Skirts-sun, flared were popular at that time. Pay attention to prints with plants, flowers, polka dots, stripes.

Girlfriends can prepare a pin-up poster of the bride where the girls can write their wishes to the bride.

Retro style is also characterized by colored prints, stripes, red lipstick, patent leather shoes.

A scarf, short shorts, neckline of dresses and T-shirts will be suitable elements.

The most important element of such a pin-up bachelorette party will be high knee-highs or stockings that look awesome with skirts. If we consider shorts, then they should be with a high rise.

It is good to have such a pin-up bachelorette party in warm summer weather, when the nature is bright and juicy, you can relax on the banks of a river or lake. This will produce excellent bright photos.

You can also rent a car produced 30-40 years ago and restored, you get very stylish photos.

You can arrange a pin-up bachelorette party in a restaurant or a nightclub or a jazz club, it is advisable to decorate the hall in accordance with the theme of the celebration.

To recreate a retro hairstyle, you need to prepare hair styling products, a hairdryer, combs and patience. If you wear bangs, style them in a straw and varnish well.

For hair styling, you can use a comb back and then collect the hair at the top or side.
If you are going to make curls, then it is good to leave them loose.

Flowers can be added to the hair for decoration. If there is very little time for preparation, then styling your hair back and doing a bouffant will do.

In makeup, focus on fluffy and long eyelashes, draw expressive arrows, complement the image with bright lipstick.

Look at the photographs of fashionable girls of the past, 50-60s, and this will help you create the right image correctly.

Menu for a bachelorette party

The menu for a pin-up bachelorette party should include various sweets, cookies, fruits, apple pie, sandwiches.

With a deep neckline, open shoulders and a cropped fluffy skirt. In this case, the “entrance is open” to the length of the floor, the main thing is that the fabric is romantically light. Don’t forget about the high waist, A-line skirts. The most important pin-up style accessory is high heels. They can be complemented with flirty fishnet socks. A string of scarlet beads and large round earrings will perfectly complement the wedding look.

When decorating your hairstyle, the wedding portal Svadbagolik.ru advises, rely on bright headbands and headbands with bows. You can also use wide-brimmed hats. But the most suitable “headdress” is a hairstyle in large curls, decorated with a lush flower.

And, of course, don’t forget about your wedding makeup.Playful arrows accentuating the eyes, porcelain skin and the most important attribute – juicy red lipstick.

And what about the groom?

Pin-up style is the prerogative of women. Therefore, a logical question arises, how to dress the groom to match the theme? At first glance, this is not an easy task. And on the second, remember that the alpha males of those times were military – beautiful and hefty. The groom can both fully use the military image and stop at accessories – stripes on trousers, shoulder straps, white gloves, caps.

By the way, a newlywed woman can also try on the image of a good boy of those years. Trousers in a small cage, a light shirt, a dark vest, an eight-piece cap. Color the image with juicy details: a tie, stylish cufflinks, or you can put on glasses in a bright frame.

Banquet style

We will also decorate the wedding banquet in the bright style of the 40s. The main symbol of the pin-up era is cards, posters, postcards with sexy and flirty ladies. Decorate invitations with them, complementing the image with fabric checkered bows.

It is advisable to stylize the general decor of the room in pink, red, orange. In general, warm, juicy and so beloved by residents of the 40s. By the way, it will be very interesting to stylize the room at home. As you remember, most of the pin-up pictures illustrated beautiful and cutesy housewives, with all the accompanying paraphernalia – kitchen utensils, potholders, delicious and appetizing pastries.

Favorite drawings of a cheerful pin-up – a cage and large peas. Do not forget about this when you decorate your wedding banquet.Complete the garlands of triangular checkered flags with matching tablecloths. Although, you can set the table in the traditional white color, but now the details are done in a cage or peas. Checkered cloth napkins, large pea bows on the backs of chairs, ribbons on the cutlery to match. Graceful paper umbrellas, miniature postcards with pin-up heroines – all this will become a stylish and bright decoration of the wedding hall. Cherries, apples, both in prints and on the menu.

Pin-up goodies

By the way, bonbonniere gifts can be arranged in the form of paper bags tied with checkered ribbons.Or you can stick images of sexy ladies of those times on the packaging. Filling – sweets in bright candy wrappers, cherries, small red apples, miniature bottles of Coca-Cola.

Do you want to feel like American girls of the 30-40s? We offer a pin-up bachelorette party. In the article, we will tell you how to create a unique image of the bride and bridesmaids, what place to choose for a party and a photo session, and even tell you what to drink and eat at a bachelorette party to make the Pin-Up style
opened up to its fullest.

A little about style

An extraordinary style was born in America, in 1930, when the popular Life magazine decided to decorate the cover with an artistic image of a sexy girl in an elegant pose. A naked body was out of the question, but there was a hint of a certain sex appeal. After that, similar pictures were applied to Zippo lighters, and each guy had a sexy blonde or brunette in his hands, sparking feelings. Posters began to appear in cars, cafes and beaches.

However, TheGreatAmericanPin-Up style was especially popular
received in the 40s, during the Second World War. To maintain the spirit of the soldiers and a normal orientation, pictures and posters with pin-up girls were deliberately distributed in the army. They were everywhere: on shell casings, on tanks, on board aircraft, they were pinned to visors in cars. And the girls, waiting for their guys, tried to copy the images of fictional young ladies, introducing sexy notes into makeup, clothes and behavior with men.In general, the popularity of the pin-up style until the 60s was on the verge of hysteria.

Create an Image

for bachelorette party

When preparing for a pin-up party, you should take into account that this style was created by men, and, accordingly, the drawn young ladies realized exclusively their fantasies. Pin-Up Girl
should have a very feminine figure: a narrow waist, a lush bust and rounded buttocks. But what about those girls whose figures are far from this ideal? Do not worry, this style will also suit thin girls if you focus on bright makeup and fancy hairstyle, choose a dress or shorts with a high waist, choose the right accessories, and turn on flirtatiousness.

Makeup and Hairstyle

Bright scarlet lips, long eyelashes and glamorous arrows – all you need to seduce guys this evening. You can get together with your girlfriends at home, do each other’s makeup and hairstyles, or you can go to a beauty salon together, where your bachelorette party will begin.

To make a hair style Pin-Up
at home, it will take a lot of time and styling tools. The bangs can be dried with a hairdryer and a sconce comb, laid with a tube and fixed with varnish. The bangs-bolster will also be relevant. The rest of the hair needs to be combed back, raised up or rolled up in large curls.

Video master class on how to make makeup and hairstyle yourself in the style of Pin-Up

And how professionals do it:

A scarf will help to complete the look. You can tie it in different ways: cover your entire head, tie it around your neck, lift your hair up with a scarf, roll it up in a strip or make a knot.Add bandanas, scarves and ribbons, flowers in your hair, hats and small bags to the image. Let everything say that you are real coquettes.

How to tie a pin-up scarf

Pin-Up Style
famous actresses and movie stars of the time (Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Rita Hayworth) dressed up. Today, this style is supported in their images by singers and Hollywood celebrities (Katy Perry, Dita von Tees, Scarlett Johansson).Let us and we follow their example and create the image of a sexy dream girl.

For this we can use dresses in the style of baby-doll, with bright prints and laid-back collars, skirts “sun”, shorts, breeches and shorts-shorts with a high waist in bright colors.

Dresses and sundresses can be short or knee-length, fluffy and tight-fitting, polka-dotted, floral or striped. The main thing is that they should be bright and emphasize all the charms of your figure.

It should be noted that pin-up is closely intertwined with retro style, there are many things in it that emphasize femininity. Add a bodysuit or corset with a deep neckline to your outfit, if you chose shorts – put on high knee-highs, if a dress – you need stockings that will playfully look out from under the skirt. Finish the look with lacquered high-heeled sandals, pumps or ballerinas.

It is necessary to celebrate a pin-up bachelorette party with a photo session. Therefore, a picnic in nature, a park, a hotel or a country house is best suited for this.

Pin-up style (40s – 50s) is filled with mischief, positivism and lightness. If he and she are not in the mood for excessive pomp and they want to breathe more life and pampering into their joint celebration, then a pin-up wedding may be the right choice. “Take everything from life, enjoy, be sexy!” – says this style for the first time from Coca-Cola posters. This drink is one of the features of this style, but first things first.

Outfits of the groom, the bride and all those present at the wedding, as well as the decoration of the room, table and wedding invitations – consider the basic ideas for creating a holiday in a pin-up style.

Bride and groom clothes

Pin-up is, first of all, the sexuality and femininity of the bride’s image. Therefore, you cannot do without red accessories. Scarlet lipstick or shoes, maybe a purse. The bride should look like the mischievous girl from the poster.

Dress and accessories

Preference is given to a deep neckline, an accentuated waist, a fluffy short skirt and heels. It is possible to use a classic white dress color. The bride can also opt for a long dress, but in both of these cases, it is imperative to take care of bright accessories.

The bride can wear gloves.

Only with juicy accessories both white and long dresses can become a part of our pin-up beauty look.

Particular attention should be paid to the bride’s shoes. In addition to the obligatory heel, the bride’s shoes or sandals can have bows, straps, ribbons, flowers. The perfect fit would be to use red for shoes, lipstick and nail polish.

In the photo you can see different options for the bride’s outfit.

Only softness, femininity and sexuality. Luscious red lips, long eyelashes, feminine arrows and accentuated thin eyebrows.

Pin-up makeup is covered in 3 videos below.

Pin-up make-up master classes:

Emphasis on splendor.Curls and round bangs will look perfect. It is necessary to fix the hairstyle with varnish.

You can also collect your hair and tie it with a scarf. For example, as shown in the video below.

Master class on tying a scarf in pin-up style

A small hat with a veil, artificial flowers or a diadem can complete the hairstyle.

Girls can wear polka dot or check dresses. Dresses should be bright colors: red orange, yellow, blue.

Short shorts can be an alternative option, also for the ultramodern bride.

The bride can use a sexy open shirt and cute short shorts for a pin-up photo shoot.

Small retro handbags will complete the look.

Groom Look

It is easy to imagine a military man next to the pin-up beauties of America of the 40-50s.
