The Shocking Net Worth of These 10 Richest Pastors Will Blow Your Mind
How much is sharing the word of God worth? The typical church pastor performs religious services, directs church operations, provides spiritual counseling, and more. There’s no doubt that pastors have a lot of responsibility on their shoulders, even though they can prove fallible like the rest of us.
Getting rich is likely the last thing on most preachers’ minds: The average pastor’s salary in the United States is around $50,000, as Glassdoor reports. However, some persons of the cloth have accumulated their share of riches through public speaking, books, network TV shows – and of course, the collection plate. Here we’ll look at 10 of the richest pastors in the United States, their net worth, and how they accumulated their fortunes.
10. Joyce Meyer
She owns a private jet and several homes. | Joyce Meyers Ministries via Facebook
During a childhood of sexual abuse, Joyce Meyer became a born-again Christian while in elementary school. She started teaching Bible classes that eventually were broadcast on the radio. In 1985, Meyer formed her own ministry, Life in the Word, and she also began airing a weekly TV show, Enjoying Everyday Life in 1995. The show continues to air today. She has a net worth of $8 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Meyer, 77, travels to public speaking engagements on her private jet. In 2004, a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article listed her and her husband’s assets, which were reportedly all paid for by her ministry. They included her $10 million jet and several million-dollar homes, as well as a $107,000 silver Mercedes. After receiving criticism for these financial perks, Meyer announced plans to take a reduced salary and derive more of her personal income from her outside book sales.
Joyce Meyer Ministries has more than half a million subscribers on YouTube, though her audience is estimated to be in the millions. Meyer might not be quite as popular with the celebrity set, though Rihanna is among her fans.
9. Franklin Graham

Although Franklin Graham is an evangelist and son of well-known pastor Billy Graham, he didn’t convert to Christianity until he was 22 years old. He eventually went on to take over organizing events for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, of which he is now CEO and president. He has also authored many books and frequently takes part in Christian revival tours. His net worth is reported as $10 million.
The younger Graham, 68, came under criticism for calling Islam “a very evil and wicked religion” after the September 11, 2001 attacks. Graham has continued to invite criticism of his public remarks in recent years: He called for unity behind President-Elect Biden following the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, but The Charlotte Observer referred to it as a “hollow call” following Graham’s statements two weeks earlier about the election being (falsely) stolen from President Trump.

T.D. Jakes spoke at the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009. He also accompanied President George W. Bush to areas affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Jakes founded The Potter’s House, a nondenominational megachurch based in Dallas, Texas. His sermons can be seen on Trinity Broadcasting Network and other religious channels.
Jakes’ net worth has been estimated at $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He talked about his wealth with Oprah in a 2012 interview, and stated that he draws income from his megachurch, in addition to earning money off his best-selling books and producing movies. Jakes is one of several notable pastors to provide words of encouragement to his followers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
7. Rick Warren

In 1980, Rick Warren founded the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. Today the evangelical megachurch church is one of America’s largest churches with over 20,000 attendees, according to CBS News. Warren has also written best-selling book A Purpose Driven Life, which Amazon reports has sold more than 35 million copies since its release in 2002. His professed philosophy is to bring global harmony to the world by founding churches, promoting education, and helping the poor and sick.
Warren, 66, and his wife Kay Warren live on 10 percent of their income and donate the rest to charity. “I drive a 12-year-old Ford, have lived in the same house for the last 22 years, bought my watch at Wal-Mart, and I don’t own a boat or a jet,” Warren told Forbes in a 2013 interview. His net worth is $25 million, reported Celebrity Net Worth, though Forbes reports that he doesn’t take a paycheck from Saddleback anymore. “The Bible teaches that we are to love people and use money, but we often get that reversed and you start loving money and using people to get more money,” Warren said. “Money is simply a tool to be used for good.”
Warren had planned to retire around the age of 65, but it appears that the pandemic might have stalled those plans, as he’s still listed as the main pastor on Saddleback’s website.
6. Billy Graham

Billy Graham, a Southern Baptist minister, became one of the first pastors to reach celebrity status. He gained popularity as his sermons were broadcast on radio stations and TV channels around the country. In 1950, he founded the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in Minneapolis. He also served as spiritual adviser to presidents Richard Nixon and Dwight Eisenhower and preached alongside Martin Luther King, Jr. Almost every U.S. President has met with or prayed with Billy Graham — or played a round of golf with him.
At the time of his death in February 2018 at age 99, Graham was estimated to have preached to over 2.2 billion people. He wrote 33 books, some of which became bestsellers. His net worth was reportedly $25 million.
5. Creflo Dollar
Creflo Dollar | Creflo A. Dollar via Facebook
As his last name suggests, televangelist Creflo Dollar has amassed some riches – and he has the possessions to prove it. Dollar is an American Word of Faith teacher, pastor, and founder of the non-denominational World Changers Church International, based in Fulton County, Georgia. Dollar preaches his philosophy that “it is the will of God for you to prosper in every way.”
Dollar has a reported net worth of $27 million. He has been criticized for his lifestyle and possessions, including two Rolls-Royce cars, a private jet, and million-dollar homes in Atlanta and Manhattan. Dollar and his ministry ran into considerable backlash in 2015 when they planned to purchase a private jet estimated to cost around $65 million, but the ministry made plans to go ahead with the purchase anyway.
“We plan to acquire a Gulfstream G650 because it is the best, and it is a reflection of the level of excellence at which this organization chooses to operate,” World Changers Church International said in a statement, reported by The Washington Post. As The Atlantic recently reported, that action earned the joyful derision of President Trump: “They’re all hustlers,” Trump told his then-personal attorney Michael Cohen.
4. Benny Hinn
He uses the church’s luxury goods. | Benny Hinn Ministries via Facebook
Israeli-born televangelist Benny Hinn is best known for his “Miracle Crusades,” or faith healing summits, which are held in stadiums around the country and broadcast on his TV program This Is Your Day. He founded Orlando Christian Center church in 1983 and began holding his healing services there. Followers believe Hinn can heal any of their ailments if he prays over them.
Hinn’s personal use of church-owned luxury goods has attracted criticism. In April 2017, IRS and U.S. Postal Service criminal investigators raided Hinn’s headquarters in Grapevine, Texas, according to NBC. The Senate Finance Committee also investigated Hinn and five other televangelists in 2007. After several years, Hinn and the other pastors were cleared of wrongdoing. Hinn’s net worth is reported as $60 million.
Over the years, Hinn has renounced the “prosperity gospel” and “seed money” in particular — which is the idea that God will bless you if you donate a certain dollar amount to the church or ministry (and thereby lining some pastors’ pockets). However, he’s done so on several occasions and then reverted back to that line of preaching. Hinn most recently renounced the prosperity gospel he formerly touted in 2019, according to Christianity Today, though other evangelicals were skeptical that it would lead to lasting change in his ministry.
In 2020, Hinn and other televangelists attracted the scorn of Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella, for not donating to develop a Covid-19 vaccine like her sister did.
3. Joel Osteen

Joel Osteen is senior pastor at Lakewood Church, the largest Protestant church in America. In 1999, Osteen, now 57, inherited the church and its television ministry from his late father John Osteen. Today, the church is the largest in the United States with an estimated attendance of more than 50,000 people. Osteen’s book Your Best Life Now was on the New York Times Best Seller list for 200 weeks.
Royalties from Osteen’s book sales, radio show, public speaking fees, and church collection reportedly generate $55 million per year. He and his wife, co-pastor Victoria Osteen, live with their two kids in a $10.5 million mansion in the Houston suburbs. Osteen’s worth is reported at $100 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. In August 2017, after receiving criticism for not helping Hurricane Harvey victims, Osteen opened his 16,800-seat Houston megachurch to evacuees. In 2019 Kanye West hosted a concert at Osteen’s church, according to PR Newswire, which led to the pair announcing a Sunday service slated for Yankee Stadium in 2020. That event was postponed because of the coronavirus.
Osteen’s church reopened in October 2020 at 25% capacity, KHOU reported. Though the church was closed, that didn’t stop followers from checking in: According to the church, more than 4.6 million people watched Osteen’s Easter Sunday recording online.
2. Pat Robertson

Televangelist Pat Robertson is a Southern Baptist with a charismatic ideology. In 1960, he founded Christian Broadcasting Network, which now broadcasts shows in 180 countries in 71 languages. The flagship show, The 700 Club, airs daily, featuring news, live guests, music, and testimony oriented around the Christian lifestyle.
In addition to his TV network, Robertson, 90, is a former Marine who ran unsuccessfully for U.S. president in 1988. He also founded Christian Coalition, a Christian Right organization that raises money for conservative political candidates. He is also founder, CEO, and chancellor of Regent University. Robertson’s net worth is reported as $100 million.
Though Robertson has been a staunch Trump supporter, he said in late December that the president lives in an “alternate reality” and that he needs to accept Biden’s win.
1. Kenneth Copeland

Net worth: $300 million
Kenneth Copeland converted to Christianity in the 1960s and went on to become a giant within the Word of Faith branch of Pentecostalism. He currently heads Kenneth Copeland Ministries and preaches through TV, books, DVDs, and CDs. Copeland preaches abundance and prosperity, commonly referred to as the prosperity gospel.
Kenneth Copeland Ministries is located on a 1,500-acre campus near Fort Worth, Texas. The grounds include a church as well as a private airstrip and hangar for a $17.5 million jet and other aircraft. Copeland reportedly lives in a $6.3 lakefront mansion funded by his church. Although Celebrity Net Worth reports that he’s worth $300 million, other reports say Copeland could be worth $750 million or more.

Thomas Dexter Jakes, Sr., also known as T. D. Jakes, is an American bishop, author, and filmmaker born in New York City. He serves as the bishop of The Potter’s House, a nondenominational megachurch in the United States. Jakes’s church services and evangelistic sermons are broadcast on The Potter’s Touch radio station in Los Angeles.
Thomas Dexter Jakes was born on June 9, 1957, in South Charleston, West Virginia. Jakes grew up in Vandalia, where he attended local Baptist churches. Having a caring attitude since his childhood, Jakes looked after his stepfather as a teenager while working. Feeling a call to the ministry, he enrolled in West Virginia State University and began preaching part-time in local churches. After deciding to drop out of the university, Jakes took a job at the local Union Carbide and continued preaching part-time. Leaving college early turned out to be a good omen for him as he immediately became a pastor in 1982.
Jakes met Serita Jamison and eventually married her in 1981 when he was 24 years old. Since their wedding day, the couple encountered the ups and downs of married life without any thoughts of divorce. They both have been very faithful to each other. His wife is the First Lady of his church. Having a theatre background and mass communication skills, she has always served alongside her husband in all the ventures he’s carried out.
The loving couple has five children, and they gave birth to 3 sons and two daughters. Some of his children have been surrounded by controversy. The eldest son Jermaine was caught in a sex sting operation conducted by local police. Jermaine is rumored to be his stepson, but little is known about him. Sarah was pregnant at 15, divorced her husband in 2012, and is now running the Women’s Ministry of the church in Dallas. Her activities are well known among the public. His second son Jamar was arrested and found to have marijuana in South Carolina in 2012 when he was 21 years old.
It appears that due to his busy schedule and services towards society, he was not able to pay much attention to his kids, especially his two elder sons. Despite both sons falling into the path of outlaws, the parents have been kind enough to stand by them and support them whenever possible. They always have an open door when their boys decide to walk the path of righteousness. Jakes has moved his attention toward his family and was heavily involved in his second daughter’s marriage. He has a lot of help at his church which has freed up time to focus on his family.

Pastor Andrey Shapovalov “Restoration of Honor” | Pastor Andrey Shapovalov “Restoration of honor” (12/15/19) – December 15, 2019 – Blog
“Restoration of honor ” Audio / Video
Pastor Andrey Shapovalov
“ Restoration of honor ”
Pastor Andrey Shapovalov
How tired I am to constantly hear preachers who speak about sins that everyone sees and completely ignore the invisible sphere of honor, character and principles of man, which is the main factor of the one whom God chooses.
U ETC. Jakes had one talented young student whom he taught and trained. And after he began to climb on his platform, they began to interview him, and also this disciple began to offer services and trips. This young student was asked to go to Japan for a big conference, asking his teacher T.D. Jakes, what does he think about this? Etc. Jakes replied that you were not ready and I had not finished training you yet.
To this, the young student said, I don’t need you anymore, I took everything I needed from this place, and added in the trail why I need you when I’ll be you in two years! T.D. Jakes says that many years have passed since the departure of this young disciple, and no one to this day knows either him, or his ministry, or where he is.
At the conclusion of this story, TD Jakes said: “This young guy had everything, talent, vocation and dream, but no honor and character.
And so today I want to talk about the honor and character of a champion, because all the other ingredients will not help you if you do not have real character and the right heart.
This is one of the most forgotten topics in the church and I hardly hear any teaching about it anywhere. But this is precisely what is now so necessary for the body of Christ and for the leaders who are called by God to serve.
I immediately want to draw a line between character and morality, because they are completely different things.
You may have great morals with regard to fornication, alcoholism, drugs, and generally unclean living, but you may have a disgusting disposition and the wrong heart with regard to leaders, ministry, platforms, and spiritual fatherhood.
You can have the right prayer life, but you will throw a person as soon as he becomes not beneficial to you. Understand this is not a sin, it is character. You tell them something secret, they distort it, spread it throughout the church, again this is not a sin, this is a wrong character. Or he is looking for everything that is beneficial to himself, again this is a wrong character.
I want to talk specifically about character, because this is one of the most important qualities of a champion, especially for those who plan and are called to move in God and His plans.
God says, I found a man after my heart, David …
Can you imagine God chooses a man who suffered in his morality and made mistakes all his life, but he had the honor, character and heart of a champion. It is this quality that the Heavenly Father seeks in his servants.
David could ask for forgiveness when he was wrong, could obey, even the wrong king in his opinion and fulfill his orders, never lose respect and honor for the king whom God removed from his position.David did not allow anyone to insult those higher than those set in his presence. Was ready to go to death, because Goliath insulted God and His children.
You could be taught, anointed and ordained by anyone, but if you don’t have the character of a champion, you will never get far in God and in calling.
This is King Saul, who did not have great sins, but he never had honor (he shamefully chased after David) and did not have character, (he was ready to anger God than to anger the soldiers and brought sacrifice himself without a prophet)
Remember, the most powerful key to your calling and progress is character.
I can now name the names of the anointed and called by God people, but I will not do this, they all have risen to very great heights in their talents, but they could not stay at these heights, because the only ingredient that can keep you on top, this is the character of a champion.
And this is where talented people are mistaken, thinking that what raised them and it will keep them, this is a fallacy. Remember, you are rising on talent and vocation, but you keep this height solely by your character and your honor.
Do not get me wrong, there are three doors through which many anointed ones fall, these are power, money and sex, these are big chasms and do not try to underestimate them, but the character should turn on when all of this is defeated by you and you rise higher by God.
For many years I have been captivated and attracted by one moment, what disposes of God to choose a person and have a favor to him?
God chose David because it was such a person that time required, a person with a strong character of a champion. Now dear time does not require anointed, but personalities of honor!
The character of a champion, it’s not like keeping yourself clean and sinless (although it is very necessary), it’s making the right decisions, not discussing and spreading dirty rumors, that’s right! Bless the poor, that’s right! To do what he promised is right!
So the question is, can God trust you? Big money, huge influence and power, spiritual fatherhood? Because this is not a matter of anointing, talent and calling, but a matter of character, it is a matter of honor. How many talented anointed personalities we know, but nothing in their lives is “glued”, just because they have the wrong character.
Believe me, dear ones, champions are not perfect or sinless, but there is something in their character, so great that we are all drawn to them and Heaven trusts them to produce great things.
The fact that you really want something does not mean that you will be there, there must be something in your character that will attract the attention of Heavenly Father!
Remember Job and his character.
(Job 29: 7-17) “Did I go out to the city gates, and sit in the square, seeing me, the young men retreated, and the elders rose; the rulers refrained from words and covered their mouths with their hands; the voices of the nobles died down, their tongues stuck to the sky. Who heard me – praised me; who saw me – praised me, because I was saving a screaming poor man and a helpless orphan. The dying man blessed me, and I filled the widow’s heart with a joyful song. I put on righteousness like a garment; justice is like a robe and a turban. To the blind I was the eyes, and to the lame I was the feet. I was a father to the poor; I was examining the case of the wanderer. I broke the jaws of the wicked and saved sacrifices from their teeth. (RNP) This is the real character of a champion.
I noticed some people in my life, they are with me as long as it seems to them that they are lower than me and they need something from me, but as soon as they took everything they could in their eyes, and in their minds they became taller than me, as soon as they realized that there is nothing else to take here and it is no longer profitable to stay, the real motive of their heart and character is instantly revealed.
And from their actions, you can understand that in reality they never loved me and did not appreciate me as a person, they do not care about my friendship and love, they were attracted by my platform and position, and as soon as he took everything that was possible from this platform , they are no longer interested in me and the relationship with me, for them now it is a burden and a waste of time.
As a rule, they come up with some reason, then they betray everything and everyone and leave, to the shores of the next person who has a platform that is again beneficial to them.
I noticed people around me were very humble until I gave them influence and power in certain areas, then the unpacking of the real character and motives of their hearts begins. Do you know when in reality I begin to closely observe a person and learn who he is? When I trusted him with power and influence.
God didn’t choose any of David’s seven brothers because they had everything and height and look and speech, but I’m sure they didn’t have the right character.
When I really want to get to know a person, I watch how he acts with those who are below him and with those from whom he cannot take anything in order to advance to his calling.
I am not surprised by people who spread the red carpet in front of me and give me compliments and gifts, because I already suspect that I am beneficial to you, I am interested in how you behave with a nine-year-old boy and a seventy-year-old grandmother, from whom there is nothing to take …
Show me your behavior with people who are not beneficial to you, and I will tell you who you are in reality.
What will you do to me when you absolutely do not need me?
Go to any seminar, graduate from any Bible college, be ordained by anyone, but if you have a temper problem, God won’t be able to use you.
Because when a disgusting character is combined with power and money, then this person becomes an unbridled monster who is allowed to do everything.
Stop all projects and dreams in your life until you acquire a pure heart and strong character, because without these ingredients, you are worthless.
You know, at this stage of my life, as a person, I so want to have around me just good friends who do not need anything but relationships and love. And not those who need me for their benefit and position.
This generation, for the most part, has no honor and character. How we need to restore honor to the Body of Christ and the character of champions.
When we read about Joseph, there is a certain grace on him to do great things, but Joseph did not enter the calling until he corrected his character.
Many do not even imagine what champions go through to move in their calling.
Do you have what it takes to be a champion of God?
It is for this reason that there are so few real champions.
Champion, this is five percent of the scene, applause, influence and anointing, and ninety-five: honor, principles and character. Can you go through this secret ninety-five percent, for the sake of the visible five?
Joseph’s brothers took off his multicolored robe and threw him into a pit, thinking that the robe was the strength of Joseph.
In the church today there is a lust for colorful clothes, many see your clothes, lustfully crave to take it from you or become like you.
They run after the platform, the pulpit and the position, not realizing that it was not the position and the stage that gave you your character, but the character gave you your position and platform.Your real strength lies in your character and principles.
Some are trying to take off your colorful clothes, thinking that it is the secret of your success, not realizing that your success is in your character as a champion, and very soon your character will return your clothes to you again.
In the kingdom of God, access to the Kingdom is based on trust, if God cannot trust you, you are deprived of access to the treasures of the Kingdom.
Example, you have a close friend who has a code for your front door, he has access to everything in your house, a little later, this friend betrays you, I am sure that the first thing you will do is change the code on your front door. doors. That is, when he has lost confidence, he loses access, not vice versa.
Therefore, God always has a test of trust first and only after that, you are given access to the secrets and treasures of the Kingdom.
God gave Joseph great grace and access, because he trusted Joseph that he would not take revenge and destroy his brothers, from which the twelve tribes of Israel were later formed.
Can God entrust you with thousands and thousands of souls and you will not become a dictator? Can He entrust you with the supernatural gifts of the Kingdom and be sure that you do not take it for yourself? Can God entrust you with the tunes of Heaven and be sure that you will not begin to manipulate it? Can God trust you with His revelations and be sure you won’t sell it?
That is why you are now going through all this, God is watching your reaction, your heart and character, He looks at your actions, which no one sees, in order to later entrust you with the keys of the Kingdom.
Dream and achieve the character of a champion, not accessories and champion’s benifits.
Jonathan gave clothes, shoes, helmet and all armor to David because David was already a champion.
Do not think when you see David that the armor makes him a champion, because in reality everything that David had flowed out of his invisible honor and character of a champion.
This is why I made the decision to be with several personalities with the character and heart of a champion, rather than personalities of talent and ambition for the rest of my life, because talent never builds character, but talents will always gather around character.
Over the years of service, I realized one thing, for real movement in God and use by Heaven, you need a real heart, principles and character of a champion.
Heavenly Father bless you!
