And the pampering she gave my wife and I throughout the whole process!”

Top Wedding Planners in Singapore

Looks like someone’s ready to tie the knot! My heartiest congratulations to you! I’m sure you’re very excited about what’s going to happen! Your wedding happens only once in your life. There’s lots of work cut out for you and your partner to make this day unforgettable! Don’t fret, there are several talented and creative wedding planners available to make your once-in-a-lifetime moment unique and memorable!

We’re also going to go through a step-by-step process of what you need to do from now till hiring a wedding planner!

What to Do When You Decide to Get Married in Singapore?

  • Make Sure You Meet the Legal Requirements

If you’re a Singaporean or Permanent Resident of more than 21 years of age and has never been married, you can skip this section entirely.

You must meet all the legal requirements before you invest in your wedding!

If you’re not a Singaporean or PR, you’ll have to produce proof of continuous residence for 15 days in Singapore.

For couples between the ages of 18-21, you’ll need to obtain the consent of either a parent or guardian to get a Special Marriage License. They must be present to approve the marriage.

If you were married, you need documents to prove that you’re divorced or your spouse has passed on.

With that in mind, all marriage approvals are still subjected to a case-to-case basis.

Before I share with you the rest of the article, I need to remind you that throwing a wedding is no 2-weeks Europe trip. It’s costlier than you think!

According to this article from Seedly, you need to save $2,300 per month for an entire year for a “typical” wedding. That consists of buying an engagement ring, hiring a wedding planner, organising a banquet at a decent hotel, ordering wedding dresses and tuxedos, hiring photographers and videographers etc.

On the other hand, a recent Channel New Asia documentary also discovered that weddings, as of 2019, fetches up to over $60,000! The interviewee, Financial Services Manager, Joseph Tan, mentioned that the inflation for a wedding is much higher than the national average!

Of course, you can just simply register at the Registry of Marriage (ROM), which only sets you back by about $42, and you’ll be married in the eyes of the law. Some couples also prefer the unconventional, yet economical way of holding a wedding cum HDB housewarming, which includes a buffet lunch. There’s no right or wrong way to throw a wedding. Both of you just need to be comfortable with your decisions.

As much as I don’t wish to be a wet blanket, marriage isn’t what romantic movies make out to be. It isn’t a bed of roses, filled with tongue-in-cheek and flirtatious banter. There’re lots of responsibilities that come with settling down.

You’ve got to make sure you’ve worked out your shared values, planned out all your finances, as well as your decisions for starting a family. Don’t rush into marriage, especially if you’re not ready. Don’t give into pop-culture portrayals or pressure from any family member.

However, if you’re very sure, and both of you have already discussed everything thoroughly, well done! Read on!

You’re in luck as we have an article on how to choose an engagement ring, as well a list of places to get them!

Remember, an engagement ring is an important representation of your marriage. It’s going to last longer than you’ll probably live so pick something symbolic!

Make sure both of you are dressed well on the day of the proposal. Discuss with your videographer how you would like the entire proposal process to be shot, edited and viewed on the wedding night itself!

  • Picking an Auspicious Date

Depending on your beliefs, you may or may not place this as an essential factor. Yet, sometimes it’s good to adhere for peace of mind. Maybe not your mind, but your parents’ and relatives’!

According to Feng Shui philosophy, an auspicious date sets harmonious precedence for the wedding and the rest of your marriage.

For more information about choosing an auspicious date, check out this article from SingaporeBrides.com!

File your notice of marriage on Registry of Marriage’s (ROM’s) official site. You should do it anytime from 21 days up to 3 months before your solemnisation. Do take note of the necessary forms and documents you need to produce.

If you choose to have your solemnisation at ROM itself, a solemniser will be assigned to you. Besides you and your fiancé, you need to have 2 other witnesses. All of you have to bring along your NRIC or passport for the ceremony.

It’s also not uncommon for wedding solemnisation to happen outside of the ROM compounds, especially if you have the budget. Singaporebrides.com has done the honours of curating a list of gorgeous wedding solemnisation locations. You’ll also have to find a licensed solemniser for this ceremony. Here’s a list of licensed solemnisers you can check out.

Sounds like a lot of work, huh? It’s only the beginning!

Pardon me, I don’t mean to tease you! My purpose is to let you know that a wedding planner can take a massive load off your preparation woes. While you can do all the above yourself, the tasks following your solemnisation may require a lot of astute organisation. Your wedding is supposed to be a joyous moment. You need to focus on enjoying this magical moment instead of worrying about the nooks and crannies of everything! Thankfully, a wedding planner understands your preparation anxieties and will gladly take them away from you.

What Exactly Does a Wedding Planner do?

A wedding planner is in charge of the overall execution of your big day. They’re what producers are to a movie. Their work is multi-disciplinary, involving a mixture of accounting, design, fashion, public relations, logistics management and psychology.

During the planning stages, they are usually in charge of sourcing out the venues, coordinating and negotiating with various vendors, as well as the overall conceptualisation of the banquet’s décor. Some of those tiresome tasks also include going through the checklist for anyone who has special dietary restrictions. They’ll also create a timeline and list for everyone to ensure all of you know what you’re in for.

All the above are done with your needs and budget in mind. Most importantly, they’ll make sure that all contracts and documents are correctly handled, so you don’t get ripped off by any 3rd party vendors!

A few days leading up to the big day, they’ll communicate with all the vendors and banquet hall representatives to ensure that everything’s on schedule. On the wedding rehearsal, they’ll troubleshoot any potential Murphy’s Law situation occurring on the big night.

During your wedding night, they’re the silent heroes you’ll eventually thank. They’ll ensure that every single logistics and every key player of the big day adheres strictly to plan. They’re the single-point-of-contact from the audiovisual department to the vendors giving out ice cream and waffles.

Different wedding planning companies may offer different ranges of services. Some of their packages may extend to include:

  • Bridal Gowns and Tuxedos Rental
  • Wedding Emcees and DJs
  • Wedding Photographers and Photo Booths
  • Videographers
  • Organising Overseas Pre-Wedding Video and Photo Shoots
  • Destination Weddings (Holding Your Wedding Overseas)
  • Wedding Solemnisation Planning
  • Wedding Proposal Planning

Wait a second. Can’t I just engage my friends to plan out my wedding? They know me best!

This is definitely a no-brainer, especially if you have a budget constraint. However, it’s a very simplistic statement that overlooks a lot of things.

Provided your friend’s a wedding planner (and I certainly hope you’ll get a good discount), there are simply lots of knowledge your friends will not know. Aesthetics and conceptualisation, event coordination and budget management are some skills that are second-nature to your wedding planner. Most importantly, wedding planners know this industry inside out and are adept in dealing with various situations.

Maybe your friends do have the knowledge, but remember, they’re also swamped in their own lives. Besides, you want your friends to do the “fun” part of your wedding, such as being your bridesmaid/ groomsman and organising your gatecrashing games. They’ll also probably need to deliver a speech in front of everybody, aka. The World’s Number 1 Fear.

Your wedding planner will take care of these taxing duties so that your friends will be by your side, sharing the good times with you, instead of working for you.

Cost of Hiring a Wedding Planner in Singapore

A wedding planner costs anything from $3,000, all the way to more than $10,000, depending on your specific needs.

However, if you’re really on a budget, don’t worry. Here are some other suggestions.

Ways to Lower Your Expenses While Hiring a Wedding Planner in Singapore

  • Engaging “Partial” Planning Services

If budget is a pressing issue, and you’re confident that you can handle certain aspects of the wedding planning, here’s a tip. You can consider engaging a wedding company for partial planning instead of the full service.

Maybe you’ve gotten hold of your photographer and emcee for your wedding, and just want someone to handle the coordination of the entire banquet.

Another popular partial planning services include the engagement of a wedding stylist, who serves the role of the banquet’s interior designer. He/she will discuss with you on your ideal wedding setting, conceptualise and execute an enchanting décor for everyone to enjoy.

  • Go Budget While Remaining Stylish

Veteran DJ Young Leong has shown us that a classy-looking wedding doesn’t need to be expensive. This especially so when you merge your solemnisation with a banquet.

There are lots of elegant-looking looking venues that don’t cost much. While they may not give off the grand ballroom vibe, they can still produce an intimate feel for your guests!

  • Only Invite Close Friends and Family Members

To further reduce your expenses, be thorough with your guest list. Find out if it’s okay to reduce the number of guests down to only your family and close friends. Remember, it’s more important to invite people you care about than to invite people whom you want to impress!

Tips for Choosing a Wedding Planner in Singapore

  • Have a Thorough Discussion with Your Partner

Don’t go behind your partner’s back and plan a “surprise”, only to discover later that she’s unhappy your bank account has taken a considerable dip.

Everything, including the budget, as well as the scale of the wedding, must be discussed. Both of you also need to come to a mutual agreement.

Having a thorough discussion also serves as an opportunity to practise working through your differences harmoniously. You’ll have the rest of your life to perfect that skill!

  • Your Planner’s Experience in Handling Weddings from Similar Culture or Faith

While the wedding planner doesn’t need to come from the same cultural background or profess the same faith, he/she needs to know how to work around your customs.

For example, if you’re having a church wedding, the wedding planner needs to know how to style it up elegantly. He/she also needs to understand how the whole ceremony works to smoothly transit your guests into the succeeding banquet.

  • Find Out what Venues Your Planner Frequently Uses

Usually, when a wedding planner works with a few familiar venues, there’s a possibility that you’re able to enjoy a special rate. Additionally, being familiar with these locations will help your planner do his/her job quickly and efficiently. He/she is probably no stranger to the venue staff and understands their work style. His/her familiarity with the floor plan will also facilitate in doing pre-wedding troubleshoots to prevent awkward situations from ever happening.

So look through their recommended venues, and there could just be a place that dazzles you and your partner!

  • Your Planner’s Proposal and Suggestions

I would not recommend settling for the very first planner you’ve met. You need to chat up a few planners and visit their showrooms. Find out from your planners what kind of themes and customisation they’re proposing for your wedding.

Let’s not forget that your wedding happens once-in-a-lifetime. You’ve got to make sure your planner’s suggestions sit well with you and your partner.

How to Work With Your Wedding Planner to Ensure a Successful Show?

  • Be Courteous to Your Wedding Planner

Ultimately, regardless of the services they’re providing, you need to treat everyone with dignity and respect. This applies to your wedding planner as well. This job isn’t as easy as it seems, and it can get very stressful. Communicating clearly while remaining courteous will alleviate their stresses and ensure that your wedding will have a smooth run!

If there are the presence of kids, remind them to behave and be respectful in front of adults.

  • Have a Single Point of Contact

Ideally, there shouldn’t be more than 1 point of contact with your wedding planner. Your wedding planner is already dealing with several people outside of your family.

There’s also a chance that your planner might be receiving a different opinion from your mother and your spouse, adding to further confusion. So it’s best to discuss and consolidate everything before relaying the finalised message to your wedding planner.

  • Avoid Last-Minute Changes

If there’s an additional out-of-town relative whom you wish to include in the guest list, inform your planner immediately. You want to avoid any awkward moment when there’s nowhere for your guest to sit! Should that happens, your planner may potentially be chastised by your guest. Your relationship with your wedding planner might suffer as a result of that.

You’ll also need to be 100% sure before signing any contract with a particular vendor or venue, for you’re the bearer of any potential loses. This will also add a strain to your planner’s hectic work.

How Much Is A Wedding Planner And When Are They Worth The Cost?

Between hunting for the right venue, finding that perfect dress and coordinating hundreds of guests, hiring a wedding planner can go overlooked. Quite often, the key to taking control of your wedding planning checklist comes down to allowing a professional to take the reins.

But how much does a wedding planner cost and do they even fit into your wedding budget? A wedding planner’s cost depends on your wedding size, location and the level of service provided. Experts suggest setting aside 5-10% of your wedding budget for a wedding planner. Doing so goes far beyond convenience — in the end, a wedding planner helps couples save money and time while providing peace of mind on their wedding day. Check out our comprehensive guide to understanding how much a wedding planner costs and why they’re worth working into your budget.

How Much Does A Wedding Planner Cost?

Let’s jump right into specifics by checking out what we found in our study of recently married women. On average, a wedding planner costs $1,800 for a range of service packages. Higher-end estimates are over $4,000 while low ranges with minimal assistance can run several hundred dollars.

Some wedding planners offer different levels of coordination to match both your budget and desired level of service. If you’re looking to save money, for example, consider hiring a wedding planner for day-of coordination only. Wedding day coordinators streamline communication with all of your vendors, ensure everything is set up properly and help you transition from one part of your celebration to the next. They allow you to focus solely on enjoying your wedding day without keeping the planning details in the back of your mind.

Wedding Planner vs. Wedding Coordinator

Hiring a wedding planner, wedding coordinator or both depends on your level of comfort throughout the planning process. Those with a passion for DIY and hands-on planning, for example, may prefer to skip the planner and only utilize a coordinator. Knowing the difference is a good starting point when finding the right planner for you.

Wedding planners often dedicate a couple hundred hours to guiding your wedding design choices, vendor hiring, contract negotiation and building a budget. They consult with each couple as they navigate their wedding ceremony and reception theme. Many planners will either offer coordination efforts within their contracts or include them as an extra service.

Wedding coordinators gather all the details planned by the couple and their planner in order to set them in motion on and around the wedding day. They act as the point person for vendors and guests that have questions during the final stages of the process. Some coordinators will also offer assistance on the events surrounding the big day itself, such as rehearsal dinners, wedding showers and Sunday brunches.

How To Find A Wedding Planner

Most couples leave at least a year to 18 months for the wedding planning process, but how much time it takes to plan a wedding comes down to your event size and wedding location. No matter your timeline, finding the right wedding planner should be one of the first steps in gathering your wedding team.

Begin by searching for wedding planners local to your area or wedding celebration. Meet with 2-4 wedding planners to ensure you work well together, share similar views of the planning process and can work within each other’s budget and timeframe.

A few wedding planner interview questions may include:

  • What services do you offer?
  • What services do you not offer/do you offer different planning packages?
  • How often will we meet throughout the planning process?
  • Do you have a preference for communication? (Email vs. text)
  • What types of weddings have you planned in the past?
  • What do you most enjoy about planning weddings?
  • Have you worked with local vendors and venues?

What Does A Wedding Planner Do?

If you’re wondering if the investment is worth it, wedding planners can actually serve more than just the obvious parts of a wedding.

Plan!

Above all, wedding planners help couples manage their wedding timelines. From start to finish, they ensure that you stay on track with interviewing and hiring vendors, placing all necessary orders and gathering everything into place before the big day.

Wedding planners often cut down your research time by providing lists of preferred vendors, clarification on contracts and advice about the best ways to spend your planning time and energy.

Save Money

With a direct link to the wedding industry, a planner can help you cut costs through discounted rates and contract negotiations. They can also help answer your initial budgeting questions such as how much does a wedding photographer cost or how to organize vendor payment schedules. If you’re looking to trim your budget, a planner can advise what can be cut without sacrificing the beauty of the day.

Vision and Decor

Though your wedding theme and design are still in your hands, the wedding planner helps transform your ideas into reality. Their experienced eye can advise on how to tie all your details — from stationery to centerpieces — into one overall vision.

Organize Documents

With so many moving parts, contracts, contact sheets and bills, wedding planning can feel a bit confusing and cumbersome. Your wedding planner can ensure you have every piece of important documentation before heading into the wedding itself. This level of organization provides peace of mind and keeps your team of designers on track.

Day-of Prep

The transition from wedding planning to the day itself can often feel a bit daunting. Wedding planners can coordinate the transfer of decor and wardrobe to your venue, ensure vendors are informed of their wedding-day instructions and keep you calm and organized heading into the morning.

If they also coordinate the event, coordinators help manage the rehearsal, wedding ceremony and transition to the reception. Coordinators and planners excel in gracefully managing large groups, keeping the wedding day events and guests flowing with ease.

Manage Details

Perhaps most importantly, wedding planners take care of all the small details that creep up throughout the process. They can help build the seating chart, manage RSVPs and ensure guests have all the information they need as they begin to travel. Planners can focus on organizing all the minute, time-consuming details, so you can look at the big picture.

Do I Need To Tip A Planner?

Since wedding planners often work independently from a larger company, tips are not often expected. If your wedding coordinator works with your venue, gratuity may also be included in your original agreement. However, whether you tip your wedding planner is up to you. If they went above and beyond during a difficult planning process or wedding day — or if you received a significant discount on their services — a 10-20% tip is appropriate.

Options Instead Of A Wedding Planner

If a wedding planner does not work within your budget, consider similar options to simplify your planning process.

Hourly Wedding Coordination

Hourly wedding coordination can help you pick and choose when and how you use a planner. Bring an hourly coordinator in to look over your venue contract, find vendors or complete all your final DIY wedding idea prep. Hourly wedding planning is particularly helpful for managing day-of and wedding weekend coordination. Hourly rates range at an average of $75-$150 an hour.

Venue Coordinators

Wedding coordination is sometimes offered with larger wedding venues or catering packages, but be sure to clarify what is included before foregoing the planner themselves. Venue coordinators will often set up the reception and ceremony space, manage the kitchen and bar and act as a point of contact for vendors arriving throughout the wedding morning.

Using Your Community

Friends and family can be a huge asset when managing weddings with lower budgets. Be sure to speak with each person individually to ensure they’re 100% comfortable with jumping in to lend a hand. Balance out responsibilities by assigning one small job to several people instead of leaning on one or two guests to jump from task to task.

The cost of a wedding planner may seem like an unnecessary expense for an already pricey investment. In the end, hiring a planner can save money, time and energy that could otherwise go toward enjoying everything you’ve worked so hard for. Budgeting in wedding coordinator costs allows you to focus on the emotional side of the wedding ceremony and reception, leaving all the details to a seasoned and enthusiastic professional.

Ways a Wedding Planner Can Actually Save You Money

At first thought, hiring a wedding planner might seem like a luxurious splurge. Of course, having someone to make your big day run as smoothly as possible might seem like a good idea, but at what cost? When it comes to making the most of your budget, a wedding planner can actually help you save more on your bottom line.

“The value of hiring an experienced event planner for your wedding or special event cannot be overemphasized,” explains Kourtney Perry, a wedding expert and founder of 7 Centerpieces. “A good event planner should be able to save you the cost of their services plus much more, which may amount to 10 to 20 percent of your total event costs.”

But, how? We’re glad you asked. Keep reading to learn why a wedding planner can be the best investment for your big day.

Double Down on Vendor Discounts

For Megan and Clint Rorie, hiring Simply XO for their upcoming vow renewal a year after their micro-nuptials was a no-brainer. Not only did having a team of professionals give Megan some extra support as her husband tours for work, but it also helped curb price-gouging, which was something the bride knew was inevitable.

“Most vendors we worked with had between a 10 to 15 percent discount for us because we were using this planner,” Megan explains. “This doesn’t feel like much, but when you’re booking things that are thousands of dollars, it really adds up.”

According to Joanna Kwok, co-founder of a Canadian company called Honour & Blessing, not every planner will be able to score you a sweet discount. However, they might be able to help stretch your dollar in other ways.

“Behind the scenes, wedding planners spend a lot of time building relationships with fellow vendors,” she explains. “Even if vendors don’t offer us discounts, we know they will always go the extra mile for us —like more flowers or photos—which results in a great wedding.”

Unlock Exclusive Access to Vendors

Believe it or not, a wedding planner can be the gatekeeper to accessing the top vendors for your big day. “A little-known fact is some vendors turn down weddings when the couple doesn’t have a planner,” Kwok explains. “For vendors who have been in the industry, it makes a huge difference when there is a planner because they can focus on what they are actually hired for.”

She adds that many venues also require couples to have a wedding planner and coordinator to book in the first place. Sure, this perk might not save you money upfront, but it’s priceless to get your dream location.

Curb Contractual Complications

Planning a wedding is a long, complicated process, so you’re bound to experience a few bumps in the road. Fortunately, a wedding planner can smooth out the nitty gritty, which can ultimately help your bottom line.

“[My planner] got me out of a contract when a vendor was attempting to add a bunch of fees,” Rorie explains. “Since they recommended this vendor and wanted to preserve the relationship and trust we had built, they were able to get a contract dissolved and a full refund for me when things turned sour.”

At the end of the day, wedding planners are professionals — and can be your best advocate to troublesome vendors.

Keep Track of Your Budget

We’re not going to sugarcoat it for you: staying on budget is more difficult than it seems. One moment, you’re looking to upgrade your table settings. And, the next? You’re thousands of dollars above budget. While there are plenty of ways to keep yourself from sliding down this slippery slope, a wedding planner can definitely help.

For example, Katie Lupo and Nick Springer enlisted Caitlin Dobbins of Honey + Thyme Events to plan their microwedding in North Carolina. And, though the couple purchased a microwedding package, Dobbins helped shed some more light on what their budget would allow. “She certainly helped us retain realistic budgetary expectations, both in where we needed to spend and where we could save,” the bride said.

Free Up Your Schedule

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your busy schedule doesn’t come to a screeching halt when you’re planning your wedding. Many couples are juggling the wedding-planning process with demanding jobs, a laundry list of chores, and personal obligations. Fortunately, a wedding planner can help you save on your most invaluable currency: time.“Just like when someone is learning something for the first time, it takes at least double the time, effort, and energy to do something,” Kwok says. “With a planner, they have the experience of doing many weddings and the couple can just relax and do other things.”

Since your wedding planner is spearheading the entire process, you can spend your newfound free time cleaning your apartment or whipping up a home-cooked meal. (Think of all that money you’ll save on takeout!) And, above all, you’ll be able to spend the entire wedding day savoring those special moments.

“Everything had been planned out step by step and we didn’t have a thing to worry about, we didn’t even think to worry,” Springer explains. “We got to enjoy every second of our wedding, spending it with each other and our friends and family, rather than stressing over the details. If anything went wrong, we didn’t know it. Everything seemed to go perfectly.”

How to Become a Wedding Planner

5 Steps to Becoming a Wedding Planner

Step 1

Get formal training

In order to learn the intricacies of wedding planning, professionals can complete a diploma program. During their time in these programs, students learn about contract negotiations, vendor relations, budget management, marketing strategies, and bridal registries. In addition, students learn about the different kinds of wedding ceremonies, attire, and stationary, as well as etiquette at these events.

Step 2

Obtain hands-on experience

While completing a diploma program in wedding planning can familiarize students with the fundamentals they need to enter the field, hands-on experience is required to put those concepts into daily practice. Hopeful wedding planners can get this experience by participating in an internship at an event planning agency, and by helping people they know plan their weddings.

Choosing a niche can help professionals stand out and increase their expertise in a specific area. Some niches professionals can pursue include destination, same-sex, and day-of wedding planning.

People who are new to the business can learn the ropes by partnering with someone who has experience. Finding a seasoned mentor can help wedding planners see the day-to-day realities of the job, which is especially helpful if they want to start their own company.

Step 5

Earn a professional certification

Although wedding planners do not need a certification in order to do business, these credentials can be useful for standing out in the marketplace. The American Association of Certified Wedding Planners offers a certification that can be earned online or in-house. In order to earn this designation, professionals take courses in vendor relations, sales, workflow, and budgeting.

Wedding Planner Salary & Job Growth

Wedding planning can be a rewarding career, but before people say “I do” to the field, they need to know that they will have solid job opportunities. This section discusses the job market for wedding planners, as well as the potential earnings.

According to PayScale the annual median income of wedding planners is $40,343, with the lowest ten percent of earners making about $24,000 and the highest bracket of earners making at least $74,000. A quick tour of Singapore’s sights is often limited to iconic skyscrapers and state-of-the-art buildings recently built. Meanwhile, in the “Lion City” (this is how the name of this metropolis is literally translated) there are many historical monuments: from the complex of buildings of the former monastery CHIJMES , where you can go to have dinner or have fun, to the presidential palace Istan , which offers excursions for tourists.

FACTS FROM AGODA : The official symbol of Singapore is Merlion . This mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish personifies the name of the city and its past: Singapore grew out of a small fishing village. The world famous fountain statue is considered the most photographed tourist attraction in Singapore. Take your selfie at Merlion Park overlooking the bay Marina Bay .

    1. Visit the Gothic monastery and the best wedding venue in the city in the architectural complex CHIJMES

Catholic Monastery of the Holy Infant Jesus, CHIJMES (or “Chimes”) during the 19th and 20th centuries served not only as a refuge for monks, but also as a boarding school for foundling children. After extensive reconstruction in 1996, the complex of historic buildings, built in the Gothic style, was transformed into a modern entertainment center with many shops, clubs and restaurants. It is also a popular venue for music concerts and weddings, with rooms Chimes Hall and Alcove at Caldwell House . You can organize a wedding in this beautiful place in the city through the agency Watabe Wedding Singapore .And don’t miss The Gate of Hope is another attraction of the former monastery.

Palace Istan , the working office of the President and Prime Minister of Singapore, opens to the public just five days a year. The historic building, also known as Government House , was built in 1869 and has always served as the official residence for receiving state guests. On the days allowed for visits, cognitive tours of the botanical garden with four ponds and the offices of the main building of the palace Istan are held here. The most interesting part of the excursion is a walk along the lake with swans and viewing gifts presented to Singaporean presidents and heads of government. Visiting the Istan Palace free of charge for citizens and permanent residents of the city-state. There is a small entrance fee for foreign guests. Istan Palace is open during major public holidays, namely:

    • Deepavali : in October or November (depending on the Hindu lunar calendar)

If you really want to know more about Istan Palace , but you visit Singapore on ordinary days, not holidays, do not be discouraged. A wedding tour is a great opportunity to spend your honeymoon somewhere on exotic islands, as well as arrange the most romantic wedding ceremony or wedding.

Our travel agency will help you to make your unforgettable honeymoon trip, in which everything will be thought out to the smallest detail, from choosing a place to decorating a room for the newlyweds, as well as determining the country.

Together with you, we can develop your individual wedding tour, both in Russia and in other countries. Depending on the country in which you want to hold a wedding, there are many nuances in the preparation and conduct of the celebration.

All additional services must be discussed in advance.

At the initial stage, it is very important to decide which wedding ceremony you are interested in: symbolic or official.

One of the most cost-effective is the wedding ceremony in Thailand.

Conducting a Thai-style ceremony, which means preparing all the necessary attributes for the ceremony, conducting traditional Buddhist rituals (including the ritual with water), will amount to about $ 805.

The minimum cost of a wedding celebration in Vietnam will be $ 920.

It all depends on your wishes and venue, as well as additional components that you want to bring with the celebration!

Symbolic wedding is the most popular among Russian guests. In this case, no special documents are required for registration, and the venue depends on the capabilities of your hotel. It can be a beach or a beautiful seashore, as well as a place of your choice on the territory of the hotel complex. Stunning views of the azure sea and a feeling of happiness will not leave you for a moment, and impressive photos will return to it again and again for many years to come. A symbolic ceremony for everyone is filled with its own meaning and meaning. It can become a prototype or dress rehearsal for a traditional wedding, and for successful spouses – a romantic moment when they repeat the oath of allegiance and the cherished “yes” pronounced on their wedding day.

A church wedding is the most traditional and solemn type of wedding ceremony in Greece. It is believed that marriages made in heaven can not destroy any troubles in life. Both newlyweds and already married couples can get married. The church ceremony (wedding) is conducted by a priest in an Orthodox church. Upon its completion, a wedding certificate is issued. However, on the territory of Russia, it is not recognized as a document confirming the fact of marriage, but has an exclusively symbolic character.

Registration of marriage at the mayor’s office – the union entered into in this way has legal force and can be recognized on the territory of Russia. The newlyweds will be registered personally by the mayor of the city, he will also give the first parting words to the spouses. Traditional congratulations from local residents right on the street can also be a pleasant moment, when they, seeing the bride and groom, usually shout out good wishes. Registration at the City Hall can also be combined with any of the services included in the wedding package – a symbolic ceremony, a gala dinner, a photo session, flowers, a traditional meal and much more.

Some countries where it is possible to organize a wedding ceremony:

    Greece

The picturesque nature of the Greek islands, as well as the closeness of the cultural and religious traditions of the Greeks and Slavs, often determine the choice of our tourists in favor of Greece as a venue for wedding ceremonies. The mild Mediterranean climate allows for weddings on the islands at the beginning or end of the holiday season, while the mainland of Greece is cool at this time.

    Thailand

    Thai Style Wedding

Buddhism prevails in Thailand, and even if you do not adhere to Buddhist religious beliefs, the wedding ceremony performed by monks in amber robes will be remembered for a lifetime. The Buddhist ceremony will be a spiritual blessing for your lasting and strong union.

    Bali Island

An amazing place where luxury hotels and unshakable age-old traditions, modernity and mystical oriental culture coexist. That is why a wedding in Bali is an unusually colorful, symbolic ceremony, and not a standard wedding ceremony.

A wedding in Bali has always been the object of close attention from Europeans. But in recent years, the number of Russians who want to go down the aisle in accordance with Indonesian customs has increased several times. The popularization of local traditions was largely promoted by … Hollywood stars. With their light hand, a wedding in Bali gained unprecedented fame throughout the world.

    Mexico

Mexico is a great place to celebrate the most romantic event of your life. The turquoise waters and white sand of the beaches of Cancun and the Riviera Maya, good weather all year round, is the perfect place for this special day. Mexico’s Caribbean coastline is also great for a honeymoon or anniversary trip, or just to enjoy a romantic getaway.
