Vera Wang Launches an Affordable Bridal Brand With Pronovias
Good news for fashion-loving brides: You can now get married in a Vera Wang wedding dress for less than $2,000.
The legendary designer is teaming up with Pronovias to launch a new bridal brand, and we couldn’t be more excited. The Vera Wang Bride collection will feature Wang’s beloved designs at a more affordable price with the goal of making the gowns accessible to a wider audience. The collection, launching in October 2021, will feature 60 bridal gowns and 60 special occasion dresses available for prices ranging from $1,600 to $4,000. Despite the lower cost, Wang says her signature aesthetic will still be present in all of the designs.
“My intention was to make sure that certain Vera Wang design codes were identifiable,” said the designer. “I wanted to keep creativity as the undisputed pillar of our brand, without sacrificing this new opportunity to reach more brides.”
Wang has been a go-to designer for celebrities for decades—especially when it comes to their wedding days. Alicia Keys, Victoria Beckham, and Mariah Carey all wore stunning Wang creations for their weddings. And for Chrissy Teigen’s 2013 nuptials to John Legend, Wang designed not one but three custom looks for the bride.
This new partnership, however, will make her designs accessible to a broader audience, and allow more brides to walk down the aisle in the dress of their dreams.
“Pronovias Group is one of the most respected and successful bridal companies in the world with a huge international reach,” said Wang. “But the most important value we look for in a company when signing a licensing agreement is the ability to create a great product. Product is king; it is where it all begins. Pronovias Group understands this.”

This is the third major collaboration Pronovias has announced this year. Last month, the brand shared it was joining forces with Marchesa to debut a new “modern-day couture collection.” Earlier this year, Ashley Graham designed a line of size-inclusive gowns for the Barcelona-based brand.
“It has been so incredibly fulfilling to work with Vera and her team, there is a true commitment from both sides towards the new Vera Wang Bride brand,” said Amandine Ohayon, CEO of the Pronovias Group. “Vera´s unique signature and iconic designs, together with our wide capabilities on sourcing high-quality materials and technical abilities, is leading to a unique collection that we are very proud to offer to fashion-loving brides worldwide.”
The Vera Wang Bride collection will be available in Pronovias stores and selected wholesalers worldwide starting in October 2021.

Vera Wang is a native New Yorker who spent her career at the forefront of fashion and called for a sweeping makeover of the bridal industry in 1990 when her flagship salon opened at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City. Today, the salon continues to showcase an interesting collection known for sophisticated drama, feminine detailing, and a modern approach to bridal design.
Vera Wang is a star of celebrity weddings that have been giving inspiration and fresh ideas to the brides of today. From working passionately as a senior fashion editor at Vogue for 15 years and then a design director for Ralph Lauren, she designed her own wedding dress that gives her a hint of opening a bridal boutique, and soon she came up with her own signature collection. As she said, “It just had not evolved. I realized that I could make an impression in terms of changing and readdressing the whole industry of bridal.”
Now famous among the locals with tons of love, she has a large Hollywood following! Endless celebrities would get married in a Vera Wang wedding dress, including Jennifer Lopez, Uma Thurman, and Mariah Carey. She began the charisma by making custom special-occasion gowns for many society women and a few actresses. Finally, in 2000, she introduced a ready-to-wear collection with an enthusiasm for couture fashion. The Council of Fashion Designers of America honored the fashion star with the title of “Womenswear Designer of the Year” in 2005. Known for her nonchalant approach to style and luxury, Vera Wang’s Ready-to-wear Collection is a smart brand to opt for your special occasion.

Bring with you the most lovable person whom you trust for anything, and make sure they are there to put you back to senses when your brain stops working amidst so many options.
To give you some wedding dress inspirations, here are some popular Vera Wang wedding gowns with so many varieties for every bride-
With a touch of fineness and elegant texture, “Iris” macrame lace mermaid gown with a dramatic godet skirt is just a masterpiece. The straps accented by hand-placed lace at the shoulder are just beautiful to lure your man while the smoke silk organza hand-cut flower might be added to sprinkle a dramatic flair.
“Tulip” styled gathered French tulle gown with a draped sweep is an amazing piece of beauty to get fit in for your special wedding party. While you can see the center front slit at the bodice and skirt, the arm tie accents, plunging V-back, and exposed corset is just a complete package for your wedding dreams to take wings. For an X-factor, silk organza flowers can be added in the sleeves and your wedding pictures turn out to be truly spectacular.
Vera Wang’s “Cosmos” umber hand-draped French tulle V-neck gown looks simply extraordinary with arm tie accents, exposed tumbled nude skirt, and matching earrings to grace you. Sage silk organza flower is optional for those who want to look fancy. As you do a messy hair bun, your perfect bridal look outshines, unlike anything.
“Larkspur” soft white V-neck crepe gown is just awesome to mesmerize your partner on your first look. It can look best in a hand-draped smoke skirt with light ivory and nude tulle adorned with a mauve silk faille hand-draped rose and white silk organza punch flowers for an exceptional feel you want for your upcoming wedding.
Last but not least is the “Gardenia” hand-draped French tulle and silk organza halter gown with cut-out detail. Framed in light ivory for its best effect, the dress can be accented by light ivory hand-cut silk organza flowers and pale pink hand-rolled silk Duchesse satin flowers, that match ideally well with sage and smoke organza flowers. And for the pictures to turn out awesome, your stylist can give final makeup touches to your smokey eyes along with a neat hairdo.
Well, as you might have been dealing with so many questions after going through the above variations, stick to just one thought- there is just one dress you need to select, and putting so much into it might put an adverse effect on other elements of your wedding planning. So, be balanced and a little calculative before you make a final choice.
And if a particular dress you’re looking for is at the store, just grab it at the earliest. And if not, you can request for the same. Similar is with the size of the dress because you cannot afford a little variation to the fitting. While most of the salons carry a bridal size of 10 or 12, even if you need a bigger or smaller size than usual, ask for it ahead of time. But the primary thing is the price range that you want to follow. If the dresses that you like at the first go aren’t in your budget, take a pause, try other options, and then give a final call. You never know, when your mood swings poke you to like the same dress you have ignored at the first glimpse. So give it a chance, just like you did on your first date, and see how it has transformed your life, and for the better!
The Vera Wang brand reflects her vision to create a lifestyle that goes way more beyond core bridal and ready-to-wear outfits and thinking of stepping into publishing, fragrance, beauty, accessories, and home. These collections that hold impeccable customer appeal are positioned at the highest end of the luxury market. Driven by artistic, modern, and luxurious design and style, the brand believes in offering a high level of customer service as a popular New York wedding gown designer.

Just over a week after the news of their secret ceremony broke, Ari decided to give us an insight into the undoubtedly memorable day with an up-close look at her gorgeous Vera Wang wedding dress.
Ariana Grande Ex-Boyfriends From Pete Davidson & Mac Miller, To Big Sean
Ariana Grande was a vision in the custom Vera Wang Gown.
The pair tied the knot in an intimate wedding at the star’s $6.75 million California home on May 15, with only 20 close guests in attendance.
The ‘Thank u Next’ singer walked down the aisle in a Vera Wang Haute custom gown, looking every bit as angelic as we’d expect her to!
Ariana Grande shared snaps of her big day.
Vera Wang is one of the most highly sought after wedding dress designers in the industry with pieces from their luxe line collection costing upward of $7,000.
However, Haute custom gowns can set brides back by much more, with a price tag of $100,000 or more.
It’s estimated that Ari’s picture-perfect dress is worth anywhere between $100,000 and $150,000.
Ariana Grande tied the knot with Dalton Gomez who wore a Tom Ford suit at the ceremony.
The global pop star looked timeless in an ivory charmeuse column dress that featured a low scooped back, corseted bodice and a tasteful split in the skirt.
Ariana wore a hand-pleated veil with a satin bow that perfectly accessorised the iconic half-up-half-down hairdo that has become synonymous with the star.
She finished off the look with none other than some killer custom platform heels and even covered up some of her arm tattoos for the big day.
Meanwhile, luxury real-estate agent Dalton sported a Tom Ford suit to meet the ‘Positions’ singer at the altar.
Ariana Grande wore another Vera Wang custom gown for her nuptials.
This is not the first time the mega-star has donned Vera Wang as she famously wore a dress by the designer at the 2018 Met Gala which was themed “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”.
Vogue reports that Ari and Vera made a pact at the infamous gala to collaborate on the singers wedding dress when the time rolled around – thankfully they kept true on that promise!
Ari was an absolute vision as she walked down the aisle, we’re sure there were ‘No Tears Left To Cry‘ among the friends and family that got to witness the singer’s big day.
We’re so delighted for the happy couple!

Vera Wang Wedding Dresses Lace Bridal Gowns
Yes, it’s flowery and romantic—but lace also represents a centuries-old European tradition. The finely tuned and intricate craft of lace-making once supported entire villages, and the skills and unique patterns were closely guarded secrets passed from mother to daughter for generations, until the Industrial Revolution made it a dying art.
Leave it to Vera to bring lace into the 21st century, as she does so beautifully with her “Bouquet” wedding dress. Marrying the ethereal fabric to a modern silhouette, she adds a bold fillip to the waistline: A huge bow that is anything but demure. Read on for more details as Vera Wang goes “Behind the Dress.”
Vera Wang is known for celebrating classic luxury with all its subtle, sophisticated and seductive facets. And this this design trait is on abundant display in this week’s featured wedding dress, Bouquet, a showcase for flattering clean lines as well the timeless tradition of lace and embroidery. Below find Vera Wang’s insights on the design inspiration behind Bouquet.
As Bouquet illustrates in a very compelling way, contrast is powerful. The inspiration for Bouquet began with a modern form—a strapless, modified A-line silhouette—that offered the necessary structure to support the intricate, elegant details that would best offset the silhouette. The design elements of Bouquet transcend time and will feel as appropriate today as they did twenty years ago, or a century ago.
The timeless magnificence of lace and embroidery is undeniable. The skirt of the Bouquet wedding dress fuses Alencon, Chantilly and Battenberg laces on French tulle and is embellished with floating floral embroidery. Bouquet reflects the weight of tradition supporting the age-old institution of marriage, as well as the buoyant happiness that brings beauty to every bride. A bride wearing this wedding dress will feel delicate and light, as if she is floating on the joy of her day.
The spectacular bowed sash at the waist enhances the striking drama of Bouquet, helping to create a wedding dress that is at once deeply romantic and evocatively traditional, weaving its magic with its unabashed charm.
Keep in mind that hand-embroidered details add cost to a wedding dress, but they also add stature and visual excitement. Consider embroidery as an alternative to beading, particularly for daytime or outdoor weddings. Also consider embroidery as the connective design element in your wedding look: for example, the floating floral embroidery detail on Bouquet can be mirrored in your bridal headpiece or your wrap.
Historically, lace has been known as the ultimate wedding dress fabric because of its intricacy, rarity and cost. Today, lace gowns are often chosen by brides who wish to embrace tradition.
Lace comes in many varieties, each distinct for its weave and corresponding unique look. Lace can range from the fragile and delicate, such as Chantilly, to the elaborate and bold, such as Alencon. The Bouquet wedding dress incorporates a combination of laces, to create a gown that is greater then the sum of its parts.
A Traditionalist is a bride who prioritizes style over fashion. Her choices are understated, focused on refinement, dignity and quality. A Traditional bride knows the power of subtlety—hand-tied bows, lace trim and embroidery—as captured in Bouquet. Graceful and confident, the Traditionalist seeks relevance and timelessness in her wedding dress. What kind of bride are you?

Vera Wang Wedding Dresses [Fall 2020 Collection]
Vera Wang is the biggest name in bridal and she’s celebrating 30 years in the bridal industry the best way she knows how…by putting out a collection guaranteed to blow the entire industry away.
While her Spring collection was all about soft almost fantastical designs, for Fall 2020 these Vera Wang is showing us her dark side. Bridal fashion is something that never goes out of style, but it’s also unusual to have a collection that truly makes people rethink what this classic facet of design is all about. A wedding dress is a wedding dress—it’s as simple as that. However, for Vera Wang a wedding dress is anything but simple. Each and every gown in this collection is a testament to Vera Wang as a forward-thinking designer who is always at the forefront of innovation when it comes to bridal style in the United States (or the whole world, for that matter).
How Much are Vera Wang Wedding Dresses?
It must be said that when you get to a certain level of designer wedding wear, the price pint isn’t going to be for everyone. The starting price for Vera Wang is $2,900. While the Luxe Collection starts at $6,900 and allows for more customization options. If you’re on the search for a bargain, Vera Wang may not be the designer for you (unless you are blessed by luck or willing to buy second-hand), however, when it comes to an expert designer like Wang price should not come before results, and the results of this collection are absolutely stunning.
Vera Wang Fall 2020
This collection is characterized by a frenetic combination of punk rock strength and classic feminine beauty. With gothic style lettering, ruffles with roughed up edges, and wild textures that will make you want to reach through your computer screen to touch, this newest collection from Vera Wang is anything but ordinary.
The collection starts off with a bang, of course, this classic tulle train is offset by the gothic lettering (the first of several updated usages) and a midsection characterized by a tattered edged look. The dress further back shares the tattered edge style, a new move for wedding dresses by Vera Wang, but sets itself apart with a modern high-low look for a bride that’s not afraid to show some skin. Tulle may be a bridal staple, but Wang is giving it a whole new style.
Black is back! (Did it ever really leave?) This all-black tiered gown is a definite showstopper for the brave bride who isn’t afraid to forgo the classic white wedding gown. With no lace and tulle in sight, the simple clean texture of this gown stands out from the crowd, drawing the eye to that showstopping two-tier skirt. Vera Wang isn’t afraid to go bold and keep it dark.
The gothic lettering returns with this pair of dresses. Vera Wang is again showcasing a high-low skirt with soft ruffles offset by that unique lettering and an oversized black bow on the back and styled with some strong, black high heels. Paired with a flirty yet refined cocktail style dress, these two pieces have a particularly youthful look.
These two wedding dresses are uniquely smooth for the collection featuring clean lines and long trains that offset the shockingly (in a good way!) short front of the new dresses.
This is (almost) the closest we’ll get to lace in this dramatic new collection. While lace is seen as a staple in most bridalwear collections, Vera Wang has forgone the old in favor of the new. These sheer gowns with wild textured embellishments give an airy appearance with a strong undertone. Again, Vera Wang has opted to let the bride show a little leg with these mainly sheer gowns only being covered by simple, classic slips underneath.
The highlow look is here to stay, but this time offset by long trains and plenty of texture. The off the shoulder sleeves is another attribute that just says punk rock princess in all the right ways.
Both these looks utilize the bold lettering that is characteristic of this new drop. No doubt your love really will last forever if you look this good on your big day!
The strapped back on this first piece is absolutely perfect—asymmetrical, simple, and stunning. Combined with the ivory satin this gown is guaranteed to make sure no one looks away as you walk down the aisle.
Vera wang wedding dresses always say romance, even with the baddie undertones that this collection is suffused with. The sweet yet strong bow combined with the deep V on the back is everything we need.
The trains—difficult to walk in but absolutely impossible to look away from. These truly make a statement from front to back and all the way around.
These two pieces are utterly dreamy without having to rely on the classic lace and tulle that typically characterizes the princess look of wedding wear, you can see here that femininity still has its place even in a collection as strong as this one.
Oh, we found the lace! And dang does it look good. Both of these pieces are absolutely stunning to behold with texture galore at the back and looks for days at the front.
The ruffles almost give an oversized lettuce hem feeling, very in keeping with the increasing popularity of 90s fashion. But of course, Vera Wang utilizes it in its most classy form yet.
This stunner is the last but certainly not least. While no one dress stands out too far above the rest, this uniquely modern almost-mermaid gown brings a unique architecture to this design like nothing we’ve ever seen before. David’s Bridal eat your heart out. (No shade, David, we still love you).
Hailey Baldwin Bieber May Have Started a New Bridal-Fashion Trend
LoadingSomething is loading.
Asymmetrical gowns and polka-dot designs might have been trendy among brides in 2019, but next year is all about embroidered wedding apparel.
Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) recently wore the look, as her wedding veil featured a vow embroidered on the hem. Similarly, Vera Wang’s Fall 2020 Bridal Collection is full of dresses adorned with love-related phrases.
Here’s a closer look at the 2020 bridal trend.
Hailey Bieber showcased her personalized wedding gown on Monday
One week after she said “I do” in South Carolina, Bieber shared photos of her wedding ensemble on Instagram.
Bieber’s first photo concealed much of her actual dress, but instead showcased her sheer veil. The garment extended into a long train on the floor, and was embroidered with the phrase “‘Till death do us part” at the hem.
While the personalized detail is eye-catching, it isn’t entirely surprising. After all, Bieber’s veil — as well as her dress — was designed by Virgil Abloh and Off-White, a brand know for featuring simple phrases on fashion.

Vera Wang also debuted a bridal collection that’s full of embroidered details
According to a press release sent to Insider, Wang was inspired by modern wedding gowns for her latest collection.
“No flowers, no beads, no bouquets,” Wang said in a press release. “This is my idea of a pared-down, modern, youthful interpretation of wedding gowns.
Wang’s pieces focus on ruffled details, contrasting colors, and embroidered phrases that add a personal touch to each design. For example, one dress from the collection features the words “I Do” embroidered with black thread at the back of its skirt.
Two dresses from Vera Wang’s Fall 2020 Bridal Collection.
“Love” and “Forever” were also embroidered on the sleeves and skirts of other gowns in the collection.
Phrases like “Love” and “Forever” are featured in Vera Wang’s latest designs.
While many of Wang’s dresses feature bold embroidery, other designs are more subtle — like her long-sleeved dress that has the word “love” embroidered in small letters on the back.
Embroidery doesn’t have to be bold, as seen on this Vera Wang dress.
Of course, only time will tell if this trend actually takes off. But with both an iconic fashion designer and world-famous model favoring the style, it’s likely that we’ll see similar designs heading into 2020.
