Eight of the Best Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Being the cultural melting pot that it is, Kuala Lumpur contains a wide variety of dining options. Award-winning restaurants offer a wide selection of cuisines from French, Italian and Pan- Asian as well as traditional, mouthwatering Malay dishes. Below, Elite Traveler will guide you through the eight best restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.
If you’re not familiar with Malaysian cuisine, it bears a lot of resemblance to Indonesian food, taking influence from Chinese, Indian and Thai food, as well as relying heavily on flavors seen in Arabic cuisine due to the country’s longstanding ties to the Malay sultanate era and the Ottoman Empire.
Rice, fresh herbs and spices and lots of meat and fish appear in Malaysian food, with traditional dishes including curries, stews and fried rice dishes. The Nasi dishes are perhaps the country’s most well-known plates, with Nasi Dagang, Nasi goreng and Nasi Ulam being the three dishes from Malaysia that will be most recognizable to tourists.
Situated in the beautiful Shangri-La Hotel, Lafite guarantees a luxurious atmosphere and offers an exquisite variety of European cuisine, prepared with perfect simplicity. Lafite is reserved for private events only, making it ideal for an intimate soirée or to celebrate special occasions with friends or business associates, with an artfully crafted interior designed by world-renowned interior designer Adam Tihany.
Lafite sits under guidance from Shangri-La Kuala Lumpar’s executive chef Scott Henderson, who joined the hotel in 2019. Under Henderson’s team, Lafite’s menu is ever-changing and notably playful while still remaining true to its French identity.

90,000 🍴10 best restaurants … – Gastronomic Sevastopol
🍴10 best restaurants in Sevastopol.
Our choice: where to go and what to eat to get to know the city.
The tourist season is in full swing, local cafes and restaurants have switched to a summer menu and are ready to welcome guests. We have compiled a list of the best establishments for our taste, where you should definitely drop in to get acquainted with the culinary world of Sevastopol and bring only the best gastronomic impressions from your vacation.
~ Restaurant “Zolotaya Balka”
A large-scale wine and gastronomic project from a team of Moscow restaurateurs overlooking the Balaklava vineyards. Today it is definitely the best synthesis of author’s cuisine with an emphasis on local products and a good interior in a metropolitan style. We advise you to try the rapa and saffron risotto, quail salad and the most delicate pistachio dessert. As for drinks, you should definitely take Balaclava Bay’s signature brut cocktail.
st. Krestovsky d.66, t. + 7 978 2679670
~ Restobar “le Slavish”
An institution of author’s cuisine from the Macedonian chef Slavish Karabashevich. Emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine with a Balkan accent. It is worth going here for gastronomic discoveries and southern hospitality of the chef, who greets each guest with a smile and helps not to get lost in the menu. You can safely try everything, but first we recommend Sicilian steak, Shopski salad and focaccia. And seafood lovers will certainly appreciate the unusual Chorba soup.
st. Voronin, 10, t. +7 978 8043338
~ Wine Bar “Public”
A new project from the creators of the cult restaurant “Ostrov”. A wine bar with local cuisine and a mission to introduce guests to the world wine culture. A large selection of Crimean (and not only) wines side by side. The menu is specially designed for the wine list and contains a good selection of the right snacks. We advise you to get acquainted with the Crimean mussels right here with a glass of white, and try a warm beef salad with red.
Nakhimov ave. 5a, t. +7 978 9503010
~ Wine Room
A respectable wine bar overlooking the sea. You should come here for a light atmosphere, cozy interior and excellent service. And stay for a glass of wine with a good snack – for example, Crimean oysters, tapas or farm cheeses. Ideal for both daytime friendly get-togethers and romantic dates at sunset.
st. Admiral Pereleshin, 3, t.+7 978 1006959
~ BURGER GOURMET. Street food.
In an inconspicuous stall next to the Central Market, there are the best burgers in Sevastopol that you will dream about at night. This is a family business of young enthusiasts who will give odds to many venerable chefs. There are only original recipes, marbled beef cutlets and potato buns. Everything in the small menu is delicious, but we recommend starting your acquaintance with a lingonberry burger, burger pesto or black pudding with blood sausage.By the way, a meat cutlet in any burger can be replaced with a vegetarian one made from chickpeas.
Odesskaya str., 7B (Near “VIOLETT”) t. + 7 978 7894989
~ My fish. Street food.
On a small summer veranda, you can find a fish street food, unique for Sevastopol, where they approach both food and decor in a creative way. Deep-fried Black Sea fish without bones will be an excellent snack with beer, and if you want to have a denser bite, try the signature sandwich “Farewell Istanbul” with mackerel fillets. And here you can just skip a glass of cold lemonade, hide under the canopy of a stylish outdoor veranda with drawings on a marine theme and escape the heat for a while.
Kornilov Embankment 3
Nice place with a double bottom: a calm cafe overlooking the sea during the day and a driving dance bar at night. The menu offers a modern take on classic Russian cuisine. We advise you to try ravioli with rapana, branded okroshka and Moscow cake. And if your soul asks for dancing, then be sure to drop in at a Saturday party and get acquainted with a couple of signature cocktails – for example, “Okroshka on birch sap”.
Primorsky Boulevard (to the right of the Aquarium), t. +7 978 9187792
~ Salt Restobar
An excellent reason to come to the Omega Bay area. Thanks to the young and talented chef Daniil Danilov, the cuisine of this establishment is unusual and intricate: here you will find both familiar dishes in the author’s presentation and unique culinary experiments.Meat eaters are advised to try the Ramen soup and signature duck cooked using the sous vide technology, and vegetarians – the most delicate hummus with falafel.

90,000 River cruises on a motor ship on the Moskva River 2021
River cruises along the Moskva River is an excellent form of recreation, very popular among Muscovites and guests of the capital in the warm season. The main navigation in Moscow opens in mid-April and lasts until mid-November, in addition, there are winter river trips in the capital, , so the yachts of the Radisson Royal flotilla run on the Moskva River all year round; Rio.
The routes of river walks in Moscow are interesting and varied, eight or nine years ago there was only the central line from Kievsky railway station to Novospassky bridge, as well as walks from the River station to the region and walks in Kolomenskoye and Strogino. In recent years, dozens of new routes of motor ships have appeared and you can make a small or long cruise from almost every pier in Moscow.
In the north, on the Khimki reservoir, there are routes from the Northern River Station, both long – to the beaches of the Moscow region reservoirs (Klyazminskoye and Pestovskoye), and short hourly flights. You can also go for a walk from the Northern Tushino pier, which is located on the opposite bank from the River Station. Passenger motor ships “Moskva” operate on the routes, and until 2015, the famous SPK “Raketa” – high-speed hydrofoils developed by Rostislav Alekseev back in the 50s of the 20th century, were in operation on the Moscow Canal; unfortunately, now SPK flights are no longer operated. The most interesting river cruise from SRV is the four-hour mega-walk “How the lock is arranged”, during which the ship passes through the seventh, eighth and ninth locks of the Moscow Canal, the ship’s route also runs through an interlock bay in Tushino, where tunnels of the Volokolamskoe highway are laid under the man-made channel of the canal.
In the water area between the eighth and ninth locks of the Moscow Canal, several lines operate from the berths “Troitse-Lykovo”, “Strogino” (Isakovskogo street) and “Serebryany Bor-2”, these are the most picturesque lines within the city. The main routes are “Krugosvetka” around Serebryany Bor, the route from Troitse-Lykovo to Strogino and back, as well as the three-hour route “Picturesque North-West”, which covers the entire water area from the 9th lock to the beginning of the Moskva river in the Myakinino area. Comfortable motor ships “Moskvich” operate on these routes, under the direct control of our shipping company Rivertickets.
Below the eighth lock of the Moscow Canal, the central water area (central pool) of the city begins. The first berth from which the walking lines operate is the Fili berth, from where on weekends walks to the Moscow International Business Center “Moscow City” and the “Bagration” bridge are made. The walks are carried out on a comfortable motor ship of the “Moskvich” type, the famous river tram. There are two more berths upstream – “Kuntsevo” and “Krylatskoye”, but they have not been used for regular walks since the beginning of the 90s for the reason that the Moskva River bed in this place does not undergo cleaning and navigation in this section is difficult …
In the center of Moscow, pleasure motor ships depart from almost all berths.
From numerous berths located on Krasnopresnenskaya embankment near the Moscow City skyscraper complex (Moscow City pier, Bagration Bridge, International Exhibition), motor ships of various shipping companies leave for the center of Moscow, to Gorky Park and the Kremlin, For almost all flights of these companies, you can purchase e-tickets with lunch or dinner included in the cost of the trip.In 2018, opposite the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment, the “Bridge Bagration” pier (Taras Shevchenko Embankment) was commissioned, from where the motor ships “Maestro” and “Riviera” leave for long walks.
The Radisson Royal Flotilla yachts and restaurants depart all year round from the Ukraina Hotel pier. The second route of this company starts at the pier in the Park of Culture and goes to the Moscow-City MIBC.
Several recreational motor ship routes depart from the Kievsky Vokzal pier: the central line of the Capital Shipping Company to the Bolshoy Ustyinsky Most pier, in addition, the routes of the luxury restaurants River Palace and River Lounge start from the pier. as well as yachts “Palma De Sochi”.
From the Vorobyovy Gory pier to the Novospassky Most pier runs the main line of the capital – the Central Walking Route of Moscow. Motor ships of this line run at intervals of 15-20 minutes and make short stops at associated berths: “TsPKiO im. Gorky “,” Crimean bridge “,” Bolshoy Kamenny bridge “,” Bolshoy Ustyinsky bridge “.
There are also walks of varying duration from the following central berths: “Andreevsky Monastery”, “Patriarch”, “Tretyakovsky”.
New motor ships-catamarans “Snegiri” set off for river walks in the center of Moscow from the Gorky Park pier. These ships were specially built at Russian shipyards in 2016-2017 for sightseeing cruises along the Moskva River; the ships are distinguished by high comfort for guests, panoramic glazing of the passenger compartment, and smooth and noiseless sailing along the river.
One of the busiest berths in the center of Moscow, after the opening of the Zaryadye Landscape Park in 2017, is the Bolshoi Ustinsky Bridge berth. It is used by motor ships of almost all the shipping companies of the capital, including ships departing from the Kievsky railway station, motor ships of the Central Line, as well as modern “Snegiri”; also from the pier go on gastronomic cruises modernized motor ships-restaurants of the “Moscow” type.
It is especially worth noting an hour-long walk around the entire center of the capital from the Patriarshy pier on the famous river trams of the Moskvich type, as well as walks on the Moika and Fontanka motor ships along the Vodootvodny Canal, which is inaccessible to other types of ships; modern convertible motor ships also operate on this route. Motor ships depart from the “Tretyakovsky” and “Ozerkovsky” berths.
Downstream of the Novospassky Bridge, from the Klenovy Boulevard pier, on Saturdays and Sundays, motor ships go on a weekend cruise along the Moskva River with an excursion to the Nikolo-Ugreshsky Monastery.
Moskvich-type motor ships used to make hour-long river cruises from the Pechatniki pier, which is located in the district of the same name, but now these voyages are not carried out, there are only morning walks to the city center.
In the central water area there are no regular walking lines from the berths: Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Setun, Northern Luzhniki, Central Luzhniki, Southern Luzhniki, Frunzenskaya Embankment, Yuzhny Rechnoy Vokzal, Melovoy pier in Nagatino.
Below the 10th sluice, in the south of Moscow you can take a river walk from the Kolomenskoye, Maryino and Brateevo berths. The motor ships of the Capital Shipping Company and the Moscow Banquet Fleet operate here.
One of the interesting options for river walks – excursion on the motor ship , in this case, a cruise on the Moskva River is accompanied by travel information about the history of the city and the sights of the capital, which guests can observe from the ship.
River walks with an excursion are available on the Central Walking Route of Moscow, on walks in the center of Moscow on motor ships “Snegiri”, on an hour’s walk from the pier “Patriarshy” and “Tretyakovsky”.In addition, there are exclusive walks along unique routes, for example, a fascinating multi-hour excursion “How the gateway works”.
Another unusual kind of walks is the boat trip with dinner or lunch along the Moscow River . And if initially such trips were offered by the companies “Radisson Royal Moscow” and “River Palace”, operating from the berths “Hotel” Ukraine “,” Park Kultury “and Kievsky railway station, now many other companies operating from the majority of central berths of Moscow. As with the walking trails, this segment also offers a wide variety of used river fleet, routes, and a large selection of dishes on the dinner menu.
Tickets for many of the above walks can be purchased from our Rivertickets website, i.e. you can buy a ticket for motor ship online . Most of the tickets (coupons) for river trips with discounts , relative to the cost of tickets at the pier or directly on the ship itself when boarding.
It is definitely worth mentioning the safety of inland waterway transport, which also includes passenger ships used for river cruises in Moscow. All motor ships that are presented on our website undergo regular maintenance under the supervision of state bodies: control of all components and assemblies of the vessel, operation of communication and navigation devices (all vessels are equipped with GLONASS), as well as checking the thickness of the ship’s hull are carried out. Even the ladder, which is used when boarding a motor ship, undergoes mandatory strength tests.
All ships are fully equipped with individual and collective life-saving appliances and instruments that are regularly surveyed, the crew has all the necessary diplomas and permits, and drills and special measures to improve safety on the water are regularly held. The existing system of supervision and control by numerous state bodies completely excludes the sailing of a motor ship that has any problems that threaten the safety of passengers, regardless of the age of the vessel.Licenses for the carriage of passengers by inland waterway transport, as well as annexes to them with a list of the fleet, we will send at your request.
While on board the ship, it is necessary to observe safety requirements and be guided by common sense: embark and disembark only through the landing sites, not in prohibited places on board the ship, do not climb over the sides, do not jump from the ship into the water, follow the instructions of the captain and the crew – then the river cruise on a motor ship in Moscow will leave you only positive emotions and good memories!
See you on board!
