I love this pen. It arrived very promptly after my order from Jet. I immediately
installed the Sailor converter and pulled up a load of Birmingham ink and went
to work.
In terms of appearance, the pen is so impressive. The Hoshikuzu color
is as sparkly as it could be without being tacky, truly striking, and the chrome
furnishings and all the detail work show the usual Sailor excellence. The pen is
not large, but not tiny; it is essentially the same size as a Pro Gear Sapporo,
although the nib is a bit more narrow. And speaking of the nib, it writes
beautifully. I am a big fan of Sailor’s gold nibs, but I really think that if
you did not know what you had in your hand, you would assume this was a gold
nib. This is a very fine pen; I’m not sure you could find anything better for
the price. If you have been wanting to add a Sailor to your collection, here’s a
good place to start.
