What Other Say:

User (10/12/2017 02:03)
This location, despite having somewhat limited hours in the evening, is in a great location if you’re needing some office supplies. The staff has been helpful when I’ve needed to find certain supplies, and their copy center is excellent and easy to use. Overall a nice store!

User (23/08/2017 02:05)
Staples is a great place to buy home and office supplies for a decent price.

User (14/08/2017 03:14)
How do I search for photo paper in the store view. No search capability.. Really frustrating…..

User (30/07/2017 07:37)
Terrible customer service. NOT friendly, no assistance in helping me finding what I needed, and when cashing out – the first cashier directed me to the customer service desk to get my items rang out. Now, this customer service cashier redirected me back to the original cashier, who was already helping another customer ring his items out after claiming she was not open, and after redirected me to the other cashier.

User (31/05/2017 06:17)
For product this store is fine. But for particular services this store is not equipt. If someone doesn’t know how to use your fax machine, you should WALK over to the machine with them and show them how to correctly feed the paper in the FAX machine. Especially when the anoint of money for said fax use is so expensive.

User (11/05/2017 01:46)
Don’t ever bother calling them!!They don’t answer their phones!!!!!!!

User (09/04/2017 00:59)
Unorganized place. I don’t like the environment of the shop here. Some places like BestBuy you feel much better when you’re shopping and looking for items.

User (11/02/2017 23:17)
I’ve always had a pleasant encounter with all the associates I’ve came in contact with at this store. The reason for only 4 stars and not 5 is because, there have been a few times that my order was not correct as far as some of my flyer words being cut off or the quality of my order not to satisfactory. But I love the deals I get and the time frame for picking up or shipping my orders. I will definitely use them again, but to an extent.

User (12/12/2015 00:14)
The computer section is a joke. I just wanted to upgrade my old laptop and went there to see whether they have one good for me. After wandering around, no one came to me. Just saw one of the managers sat in front of a computer in the easy tech section. This is fine. I went to them to ask for help. After being confirmed by an easy tech staff that they do have one in stock, they said I had to do a survey. OK, I did a 10 min survey. After this survey, the easy tech man went back to grab the laptop. Ironically, the laptop disappeared for no reason!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so ridiculous. I really do not want to say rude words here. If you have other options, just keep away from this store. Seems like they do not welcome anyone. I’d rather drive 20 min to the Warwick store. For electronics, best buy is way better than staples.

The only good thing I can figure out for this store is that shipping is very convenient. But we all know staples is not well-known for shipping.

Alternatively, you can purchase copies of various types through
Library of Congress Duplication Services.

  1. If a digital image is displaying: The qualities of the digital image partially
depend on whether it was made from the original or an intermediate such as a copy negative or
transparency. If the Reproduction Number field above includes a reproduction number that starts
with LC-DIG…, then there is a digital image that was made directly from the original
and is of sufficient resolution for most publication purposes.

  2. If there is information listed in the Reproduction Number field above:
You can use the reproduction number to purchase a copy from Duplication Services. It will be
made from the source listed in the parentheses after the number.

  1. Is the item digitized? (A thumbnail (small) image will be visible on the left.)

SEG Partners with Staples to Help RI Employees Work from Home

Providence, R.I. (December 10, 2020) — Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) has forged supplier partnerships with office retailer Staples as well as with technology device makers to bring free laptops, printers and other work-from-home technology tools to the state’s small businesses, social enterprises and nonprofits as they struggle through the pandemic-inflicted economy. The program is funded by a CARES Act grant provided and coordinated by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation’s Remote Work program.

Applications are currently being accepted here and all program grants will be made before the end of the year, in an effort to get work-from-home assistance to enterprises quickly. Priority will be given to businesses and organizations that align with and further SEG’s mission of supporting diverse businesses and nonprofits who work to enable a more just, equitable and resilient economy.

“As we see from the COVID numbers, working from home is effective. But most Rhode Island small business owners and social service providers – especially those in historically excluded communities – don’t have the resources to enable their employees to do this,” said Kelly Ramirez, SEG’s chief executive officer. “Commerce’s Remote Work program is designed to address that – and we’re grateful for the collaboration of Staples and other tech suppliers, who have mobilized to deliver the products at big discounts and to help us distribute them quickly and effectively.”

The program provides free laptops, noise-cancelling headsets, printers, routers and WiFi hotspots – as well as limited tech service plans – to qualified businesses and organizations. To qualify, businesses and nonprofits must have two or more employees and must demonstrate that the grant will enable their employees to perform at least 80% of their work from home.

“Staples is humbled to be able to work with Social Enterprise Greenhouse and Rhode Island Commerce to support RI businesses by providing the necessary technology and equipment to effectively work from home,” said Michael Hurwitz, VP, GMM, Merchandising, Staples US Retail. “Small businesses make up one of Staples’ most important customer segments and we know what a difficult year they have had due to the pandemic. Transferring from an office to your home is not an easy task for small business owners or their employees but with the proper technology we hope to support more productivity, creativity, and ultimately successful businesses.”

William Staples (January 10, 1798 — January 19, 1868), American historian

William was born on October 10, 1798 in Providence, Rhod Island, United States, the youngest son of Samuel and Ruth (Read) Staples.

He graduated from Brown University in 1817.

After reading law in the office of a local attorney, he was admitted to practice in 1819, and although at the bar and on the bench he maintained a successful association with the law for nearly half a century, he impressed one of his contemporary biographers as being “not especially fond of his profession”.

He entered public life in 1832 as a member of the common council of Providence, served as a police justice of the city for two years, and in June 1835 took his seat by appointment as an associate justice of the supreme court of Rhode Island.

Elected chief justice of that court in 1854, he was compelled through loss of health to resign his office in March 1856. Thereafter, except for a few months in 1856 as state auditor, he devoted himself largely to unofficial public service and to the development of his interest in the history of his native state.

In his Annals of the Town of Providence, published in 1843, he claimed with too much modesty that his purpose was only “to collect facts for the future historian, ” but in that book he arranged economically a great store of facts, collected from numerous original sources, into a vigorous, reliable narrative covering two centuries of the city’s life. At the instance of the Assembly he performed in his closing years a similar task of research and presentation in his Rhode Island in the Continental Congress, a work that was brought out by the state in 1870 under the editorship of Reuben Aldridge Guild.

He edited also The Documentary History of the Destruction of the Gaspee (1845) and, at different periods of his life, certain works of legal utility of no general interest.

He died in 1868.

He was married in November 1821 to Rebecca M. Power who died in 1825. They had two children both of whom died in childhood. In October 1826 he was married to his second wife, Evelina Eaton of Framingham, Massachussets, who survived him with six of their eleven children.

Governor Vladimir Vladimirov held a meeting on pricing for agricultural products and food in the region. It was attended by heads of relevant ministries and departments, heads of municipalities, representatives of volunteer associations.

Opening the discussion, the head of the region recalled the sharp changes in prices for vegetable products recorded this year. In this context, he stressed the need to seek regulation of prices for the main types of food with the participation of the state. In particular, this applies to the so-called “borscht set”.

“We need mechanisms to regulate trade margins for socially significant food products, which must be monitored constantly,” stressed Vladimir Vladimirov.

The head of the region ordered to form a list of such products. Proposals for regulating their prices will be sent to the Government of the Russian Federation.

Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Territory Vladimir Sitnikov reported on the situation with the production and sale of vegetable products. As it was said, 400-500 thousand tons of vegetables and potatoes are produced annually in the Stavropol Territory, which exceeds the internal demand for these products. At the same time, about 80% of vegetables grown in the region are supplied to the domestic market.

At the same time, in order to increase the share of regional vegetable products in large retail chains, an increase in their own storage capacities with primary processing is required. This will ensure the proper quality of products in accordance with the requirements of retailers.

Vladimir Vladimirov instructed to study the possibilities of increasing the volume of state support for the creation of vegetable storage facilities and logistics centers. According to the head of the region, this can be done within the framework of a separate program, which must be initiated at the federal level. The Governor has set the task to prepare and submit appropriate proposals.

Also, in order to create additional sales channels for agricultural products in the region, work will continue to develop fair trade. Currently, 283 fairgrounds have already been created in the Stavropol Territory, which is 12% more than a year ago. In addition, the number of trading places for the sale of products produced in peasant (farmer) households and in private farmsteads has been increased by 1.8 times.

Vladimir Vladimirov also thanked public volunteer associations that monitor prices for socially significant food products. Including, this year volunteers of the regional united volunteer headquarters of “United Russia” have already carried out 363 raids on retail outlets. In case of revealing the facts of unjustified price increases, the information is transferred to the regional authorities.

– Thanks to the volunteers for this work, which helps us to quickly respond to price changes, – said the head of the Stavropol Territory.

FAS gathered retailers for a meeting due to food prices – RBK

As a source in one of the major retailers told Forbes, the meeting on margins was of a “moral and political nature.” “After that, it is checked whether the networks comply with the prescriptions, and based on the results of the check – the consequences (in case of non-observance of the prescriptions). Now under close scrutiny are those networks that were in yesterday’s news [X5 networks, Magnit, Lenta], “the source said.

As noted by a Forbes source close to one of the participants in the meeting, there are already bills and a government decree that allow regulating prices.“But from a legal point of view, it is almost impossible to do anything with markups in networks now,” he says.

Read on RBK Pro

A representative of the FAS declined to comment on the information on the preparation of the bill and the holding of the meeting for Forbes. A representative of Lenta confirmed the meeting for Forbes. A representative of Azbuka Vkusa told the newspaper that he was not aware of the meeting, but Lenta, Metro and X5 Retail Group declined to comment.

Putin called the situation with the rise in prices for basic products “especially acute”

At the end of July, President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with members of the government, raised the issue of prices for basic goods, including food.“The issue with the rise in prices for basic products – vegetables, the so-called“ borsch set ”, is especially acute today, we recently talked about this,” the head of state said. According to Forbes, at a meeting with retailers, FAS representatives said that the markups were significant: millet – 44%, beets – 41%, tea – 40%, rye bread – 30%.

On Friday, August 13, the FAS announced unscheduled field checks in the retail chains Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Karusel, Lenta and Magnit. In the department, the entry about this, published in Telegram, was titled with the words “Black Friday”.As pointed out in the FAS, the purpose of the inspections was “to prevent an unreasonable increase in the cost of socially significant food products”, which could be caused by collusion. The department stressed that the reason for such actions was the appeal of citizens.

Answers to typical questions on licensing “1C: Enterprise 8”

General Licensing Questions

Question Answer

1.The organization has several remote offices (retail outlet, warehouse, etc.) that are not connected to the central office by a local network. Each remote office has its own local area network. Does an organization have the right to install a software product with ONE basic delivery (platform + configuration) both in the central office and in remote offices, purchasing only client licenses for remote offices? Or is the organization required to purchase a basic delivery (platform + configuration) for each remote office?

In accordance with the current licensing procedure, the scope of lawful use of the License Agreement for the basic delivery (platform + configuration) is limited to the user’s local network in which the software product is installed, therefore the organization is obliged to purchase a separate basic supply (platform + configuration) for the local network of each remote the office where the software product is being installed.

For users of products that include the “1C: ERP Enterprise Management” configuration or an industry solution created on its basis, products are released for use in remote offices, see information letter # 4156 dated 06/29/2005. The EULA for such products specifies that they may only be used by the organization that purchased the primary shipment of SCP or the industry solution specified above. The cost of products for remote offices is lower than the cost of basic delivery.

2. The organization has several remote retail outlets not connected to the central office by a local network, a distributed base is used. In version 7.7, a separate product was required to use distributed infobases. How is a license to use distributed infobases in version 8 acquired?

In 1C: Enterprise 8, it is not required to purchase separate licenses to work with distributed infobases, since the functionality of data exchange mechanisms is included in the platform.

3. The organization uses several remote infobases that are not connected to the central office by a local network; a distributed infobase is used based on the 1C: Enterprise 8 data exchange mechanisms. In this case, is the organization entitled to use ONE basic delivery (platform + configuration) at the central office, and only client licenses at the nodes? Or is the organization obliged to purchase a basic supply (configuration) for all nodes?

In accordance with the current licensing procedure, the scope of lawful use of the License Agreement for the basic delivery (platform + configuration) is limited to the user’s local network where the software product is installed.Since the organization uses a distributed infobase, that is, the software product is also installed in remote offices, the organization must purchase a basic supply (platform + configuration) for each node (for each remote office). If an organization uses the basic 1C: ERP Enterprise Management delivery, then for remote offices (distributed base nodes) it is enough to purchase a special 1C: ERP Enterprise Management delivery for work in remote offices at a lower price, see.information letter No. 22258 dated 25.11.2016. At the same time, 1C: Enterprise client licenses must be purchased separately for workstations in remote offices.

4. The organization uses “1C: Enterprise 8” at several workplaces, united into a common local network. Workstations are the workstation of the trade manager and the store manager’s computer (central computer). The manager’s workstation can work both in a network with a common infobase and autonomously (offline), exchanging data with a central computer according to a distributed infobase scheme.Should the organization purchase a separate basic supply of 1C: Enterprise 8 for each workplace?

Since all computers of the organization are united into a local network, then for data exchange according to the scheme of distributed infobases, it is not required to purchase a separate basic supply for each workstation.

5. In one organization, activities are carried out by two legal entities with different taxation regimes, in two information bases. All users work in the same local network. How many basic supplies does the organization have to purchase?

Since the computers are connected to a local network, according to the rules of the License Agreement, it is sufficient to purchase one basic supply and client licenses for workplaces. The number of basic supplies does not depend on the number of information bases and the number of legal entities.

6.In one organization, two users in the same territory work with the same configuration, but with different infobases. The computers are not connected to the network. In this case, is it enough to purchase ONE basic supply plus an additional license, or does the organization need to purchase TWO basic supplies?

Since computers are not connected to a network, according to the rules of the License Agreement, a separate basic supply should be purchased for each computer. Thus, the organization must acquire two main supplies of “1C: Enterprise 8”.

7. In one organization, two users in the same territory work with the same configuration, but with different infobases. Computers are connected to a local network. In this case, is it enough to purchase ONE base supply plus a CAL, or does the organization need to purchase TWO base supplies?

Since the computers are connected to a local network, according to the rules of the License Agreement, it is sufficient to purchase one basic supply and one client license for an additional workplace.

8. In one organization, two users work with two different configurations of 1C: Enterprise 8 (for example, they conduct accounting operations and perform payroll calculations). Computers are connected to a local network. How many basic supplies does the organization have to purchase?

In this case, the organization should purchase a basic supply for accounting and a basic supply for payroll, that is, in total, the organization must purchase two basic supplies.

9. The company has two offices, geographically located in different buildings, but connected by a local network, it is planned to use one configuration. How many basic supplies of 1C: Enterprise 8 do you need to purchase in this case?

Since the offices are connected by a common local network, according to the terms of the License Agreement, one basic delivery with client licenses for the number of workplaces will be enough to work with the 1C: Enterprise 8 system.

10. Should the same organization for TWO groups of computers, united into local networks within the groups, and not connected by a local network to each other, acquire TWO basic supplies of 1C: Enterprise, including the same configuration?

Yes, in accordance with the License Agreement, a separate main supply must be used in each local network, that is, in total, the organization must purchase TWO main supplies of the product used.

11. The main delivery of the product was purchased by the auditor. Can he use this product to keep records on one computer for ten different organizations?

The number of infobases working with one basic delivery is not limited by the License Agreement. The use of one basic delivery for keeping records of ten different organizations on one computer in this case is legitimate.

12. The organization plans to use two configurations of the “1C: Enterprise 8” system: “Trade Management” and “Salary and Personnel Management” – at five workplaces. Is it obliged to purchase two different basic supplies or is it enough to purchase only one, because in “1C: Enterprise 8” there is no division by components, as was the case in “1C: Enterprise 7.7”?

For the lawful use of the configuration, the organization must purchase the basic supply that includes this configuration. That is, the organization must purchase two different core shipments that include the specified configurations.

Another option is to purchase the product “1C: Enterprise 8. A set of applied solutions for 5 users”, which allows you to use the configurations “Enterprise Accounting”, “Salary and Human Resources Management” and “Trade Management” included in it at five workplaces.

13.The organization plans to use two configurations of the “1C: Enterprise 8” system: “Trade Management” and “Salary and Personnel Management” – at five workplaces and plans to purchase the corresponding basic supplies of these products. Does she have to purchase CALs to access each configuration from each additional seat?

Client license grants a user on the local network the right to access any configuration provided by the basic delivery. Therefore, you do not need to purchase two sets of CALs per seat to access the two configurations. In this situation, in addition to the two main deliveries, you will need to purchase CALs for 3 workplaces, since a license to use this configuration on one workplace is included in the main delivery of each configuration. Another option is to purchase the product “1C: Enterprise 8. A set of applied solutions for 5 users”, which allows you to use the configurations “Enterprise Accounting”, “Salary and Personnel Management” and “Trade Management” included in it at five workplaces simultaneously.

14. The organization has purchased the Trade Management basic supply and is using it in multi-user mode (with CALs). Is it acceptable to install the program on a manager’s laptop that is not connected to the network and run it with a separate CAL?

If the manager’s laptop is not connected to the local network and work on it is carried out simultaneously with the work in the local network of the enterprise, then for it you need to purchase a separate basic supply “Trade Management”.

If the manager uses remote access to the general information base of the organization (for example, through the web interface or using remote access), then on the basis of information letter No. 3895 of 03/31/2005, the purchase of the main supply is not required.

This is also true for the products “1C: Accounting 8”, “1C: Salary and personnel management 8” and others that allow the use of client licenses.
In addition, for individual application solutions (“1C: Consolidation 8 PROF”, “1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8”), special licenses have been issued for use on a laptop.

15. System administrators of the company use various complex hardware and software tools to organize access to computers of the company located in different territories. How, in such cases, to determine which solutions can be considered one local network, and which are not?

In general, we recommend to be guided by the definition of a local network, which gives GOST 29099-91 “Local computing networks. Terms and definitions “:” Local area network; LAN is a computer network covering a small area and using methods and means of data transmission oriented to this area. ” A small area means a complex of buildings with a common postal address.

In difficult situations, the decision on whether the used technical solution is a single local network is made on the spot by a certified franchisee partner of 1C, who sells licenses for 1C: Enterprise 8, based on an analysis of a specific situation.

16. The organization has acquired one license for the 1C: Enterprise 8 server. How many client-server databases can be used simultaneously in an organization?

The license for the 1C: Enterprise 8 server applies to one computer that acts as a server (separately or as part of a server cluster). One server can work with an unlimited number of databases. If the 1C: Enterprise 8 server cluster runs on several computers, then you need to purchase a separate license for each computer.

17. How many licenses do you need to buy for Microsoft SQL Server when using it with 1C: Enterprise 8 in a client-server version?

The Microsoft SQL Server CAL states: “Each CAL grants the right to access the Server Program from one specific computer, workstation, or other digital electronic device.”Thus, the number of licenses for using Microsoft SQL Server must be no less than the number of users simultaneously working with 1C: Enterprise 8 in the client-server version.

18. Is it possible by purchasing the product “1C: Enterprise 8” + Microsoft SQL Server. Server license “, apply it also for other tasks that do not use” 1C: Enterprise 8 “?

SQL-server, which is part of previously released joint products of 1C and Microsoft, according to the license is used only to work with the 1C: Enterprise system. To use SQL Server for other purposes, you must purchase Microsoft SQL Server separately, at full cost (see the price list for Microsoft products in the “Price Lists” section of the 1C: Distribution website at http: //dist.1c. ru /).

19. the organization is required to transfer the information base “1C: Enterprise 8” to a third party:

  • to the business owner or auditor,
  • regulatory authorities (tax, etc.)etc.),
  • for storing the backup.

On what conditions is it possible?

Transfer of an infobase containing a typical configuration code is allowed in the following order:

  • It is permissible for an enterprise owner or auditor to provide remote access to an infobase under the current license agreement.
  • Transfer of the base is allowed if the recipient of the base has a license agreement for the main delivery, including the configuration on which the base is created. If for the organization the provision of information and documents (including the base) at the request of the regulatory authorities is mandatory, then the organization must notify the recipient in writing that, in the absence of a license for the basic delivery, the reproduction of the database on the recipient’s computers is illegal.
  • Transfer of the base to a third party only for storage, without reproduction on a computer for the purpose of entering and extracting information, is possible with a written commitment from the recipient not to distribute the base and not to provide access to it to third parties.

In all these cases, the organization transferring the base is obliged to notify the recipient of the information base by an official letter that the recipient must not violate the copyright of 1C for the applied solution, in particular, not to distribute the information base and its parts and not provide it to access to it by third parties. Responsibility for the reproduction of the information base or its further distribution in accordance with the law rests with the recipient of the base, if he is notified by the organization transferring the base of the rules for using the base in accordance with the license agreement.

20. Is it possible to expect in the future changes in certain aspects of the licensing policy for 1C: Enterprise 8 and the emergence of new types of licenses?

The 1C firm regularly at quarterly seminars discusses with partners the issues of using software products. In the course of such discussions, issues of licensing are also considered.Based on the results of these discussions, decisions can be made on the introduction of new types of licensing. So, in 2004, after discussions with partners, licenses for IT specialists with special conditions for using the product were introduced, and a set was released that included a platform, an application software solution, a license for ten workplaces and a server license.

Objectives and principles of monetary policy

The main objective of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia is to maintain price stability, that is, consistently low inflation.

Price stability is an important element of a favorable environment for people to live and do business, as it is:

  • protects local currency income and savings from unpredictable depreciation. This allows you to maintain a standard of living, as well as more confidently plan your daily and long-term expenses;
  • protects low-income citizens. Such families mainly buy inexpensive basic goods.Consistently low inflation allows maintaining the level of consumption;
  • helps to increase the availability of debt financing for companies, as it reduces the inflationary premium that banks put in interest rates;
  • simplifies financial and investment planning for businesses;
  • increases confidence in the national currency and creates conditions for reducing the value of assets and liabilities in the economy. This, in turn, reduces the impact of changes in external conditions on the economy.

Basic principles of monetary policy

To achieve the inflation target, the Bank of Russia implements monetary policy within the inflation targeting regime (from the English target – “target”). When conducting monetary policy, the consistency, predictability and transparency of the actions of the central bank are important, therefore the Bank of Russia conducts its policy in accordance with a number of principles.

  1. The Bank of Russia sets a permanent public quantitative inflation target of so that the population, business, and financial market participants can take it into account when planning their activities and making decisions. The inflation target is set for the annual growth rate of consumer prices, that is, changes over the past 12 months in the general level of prices for goods and services purchased by the population.

The goal of the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia is to maintain annual inflation near 4% at all times. The wording “near 4%” reflects the acceptability of small fluctuations in inflation around the target.

    More, what is inflation

If inflation deviates significantly from the target, the Bank of Russia assesses the reasons and duration of the deviation and, based on this, makes decisions on the use of monetary policy measures to bring inflation back to the target.

  2. Under the inflation targeting regime, the exchange rate is floating, that is, it is formed under the influence of supply and demand in the foreign exchange market. With a floating exchange rate, the Bank of Russia does not intervene in the domestic foreign exchange market in order to maintain a certain level of the exchange rate or the rate of its change. At the same time, the Bank of Russia can conduct operations with foreign currency in the domestic market in the event of a threat to financial stability, as well as to replenish (use) international reserves in connection with the application of the budget rule by the Ministry of Finance of Russia.

More about floating exchange rate policy

  3. The key rate is the main instrument of the Bank of Russia’s monetary policy. By changing the key rate, the Bank of Russia affects the dynamics of interest rates in the economy, which in turn affects domestic demand and inflation.

More details on how the Bank of Russia affects inflation

The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia regularly makes decisions on the key rate – eight times a year in accordance with a previously approved and published schedule.

Learn more about how monetary policy decisions are made

A decision on a key rate is necessarily accompanied by an explanation of its logic and reasons, and, as a rule, is supplemented by a signal about possible further steps on monetary policy. The explanation by the Bank of Russia of the decisions made and future intentions is an important tool for managing inflation expectations, the so-called linking them to the inflation target.

Linking inflationary expectations of both the population and business to the inflation target is of great importance for the effectiveness of measures taken by the central bank.

  4. The Bank of Russia makes decisions on monetary policy based on a macroeconomic forecast, taking into account the analysis of a wide range of information. Monetary policy does not affect price movements immediately, but over time, through a long chain of relationships. Therefore, to assess the impact of the decision on the key rate on the economy and inflation, a macroeconomic forecast is required.

To develop a forecast, the Bank of Russia uses modern macroeconomic models. As part of preparing a macroeconomic forecast, the Bank of Russia estimates the duration of the factors affecting the economy and price dynamics, and the stability of the established economic trends.

Measures taken in other areas of domestic economic policy, as well as measures of economic policy in major foreign countries are important factors that the Bank of Russia takes into account when preparing a macroeconomic forecast.

In forming the preconditions for a macroeconomic forecast and assessing risks at the current stage, the Bank of Russia uses a conservative approach, attaching somewhat greater importance to pro-inflationary factors and risks. This is due to the fact that inflationary expectations in Russia still remain elevated and sensitive even to a temporary increase in prices for certain goods. In such a situation, underestimation of pro-inflationary factors and risks can lead to persistent and long-term inflation deviations upward from the target.

  5. The Bank of Russia adheres to information transparency in the field of monetary policy in order to increase understanding and confidence in its monetary policy, and to create a predictable economic environment for all participants in economic relations. Understanding and credibility of the measures taken is essential to improve their effectiveness.

As part of its policy of information openness, the Bank of Russia first of all strives to disclose as quickly as possible and fully information on the goals, principles, measures and results of monetary policy, on the assessment of the economic situation and the prospects for its development. The Bank of Russia is also working to expand the coverage of monetary policy communication and improve its targeting.
