Wall scores 31, Rockets end skid with 102-93 win over Mavs

HOUSTON (AP) — John Wall had 31 points and seven assists in his return from injury, and the Houston Rockets snapped a five-game skid with a 102-93 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.

“We didn’t stop fighting,” Wall said. “We made some big stops and we made some big shots.”

Wall had missed the previous four games with swelling in his right knee. Christian Wood added 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets.

“It’s good to finally have my point guard back,” Wood said. “John made my job easier. He was our X-factor in the fourth quarter.”

The game was tied with about two minutes left before the Rockets scored the next seven points to take a 96-89 lead with a minute to go. Wall got things going in that stretch with a layup and a three-point play. Kevin Porter Jr. capped the run when he blocked a shot by Dorian Finney-Smith and finished on the other end with a two-handed dunk.

Coach Stephen Silas was impressed with his team’s focus and was thrilled to see players having some fun in a tough season.

“To see the elation in the guys was gratifying because they’ve been through a lot and we’ve been through a lot as a group,” he said.

Kristaps Porzingis had 23 points and 12 rebounds in his return after missing Monday’s game with a sprained right wrist for the Mavericks, whose five-game winning streak ended. Luka Doncic added 23 points on 9-of-26 shooting, including 1 of 9 on 3-pointers.

“This game was a lot more about how well they played,” Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. “We’ve got to be better at the beginning of the game and carry it through and tonight we didn’t do that.”

The game was the last of the season between the in-state rivals. It was rescheduled from Feb. 19 because of utility problems after a rare Texas winter storm. Houston won the season series 2-1.

Houston led by 11 after three quarters, but the Mavericks used a 12-5 run, with seven points from Tim Hardaway Jr., to get within 80-76 with about eight minutes remaining.

A three-point play from Kelly Olynyk gave the Rockets an 89-84 advantage. But the Mavericks scored the next five points, highlighted by a 3 from Finney-Smith, to tie it about a minute later.

“He just has that knack of doing what you need,” Silas said. “We obviously wouldn’t have won the game without him and his contributions.”

Student-athletes from 10 athletic programs (men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s hockey, men’s and women’s squash, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, men’s and women’s indoor track & field) were eligible for NESCAC all-academic recognition, which honors sophomores, juniors and seniors who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
 
The 71 student-athletes included 36 repeat selections and nine of them made their third appearance on the winter all-academic team: Katie Cronin ’21, Justin Felhaber ’21, Kayla Glemaud ’21, Spencer Kendall ’21, Scout Lansing ’21, Emma Liles ’21, Will Richardson ’21, Abby Roller ’21 and Teddy Simson ’21.

Materials “JUTA” (UTA) are designed for complex protection of buildings from moisture and condensation.Their use in construction allows you to provide comfortable living conditions and preserve the functional properties of the insulation and the structure of the house for a long time.

All modern roofing materials reliably protect the house from external moisture. However, potassium water and condensation can penetrate under any roof covering due to poor installation, low roof slope or extreme weather conditions (strong wind or slanting rain). In living quarters, moisture is also constantly released as a result of the vital activity of people, animals, plants.

In our climate, the fight against condensation is of great importance in the construction and operation of houses with insulated roofs. Builders’ mistakes are costly for homeowners. An incorrect device for steam and heat insulation leads to the fact that moisture contained in the form of steam in the air of a warm room due to convection and diffusion penetrates into the insulation and the roof structure. The thermal conductivity of the insulation increases, which results in the release of condensation, the formation of mold, moistening of rafters and battens, freezing of the roof and damage to the interior decoration – a sad result of unprofessionalism and ignorance of modern roof construction technologies.

In roofing systems, it is planned to create ventilation gaps and install a waterproofing film to remove both internal moisture and external moisture that has penetrated under the roof from the atmosphere, which ensures a long service life of the roof and the entire building. Thanks to ventilation, the roofing material will not heat up from the side of the building, and the snow lying on the roof will melt evenly from the sun or heat, which solves the problem of ice formation and destruction of hanging gutters and gutters.

There are several types of polymer films for a correct and high-quality roof waterproofing device:

– Diffuse with microperforation, designed for all types of roofs (Ondulin, Katepal, etc.)and siding, does not allow moisture to enter the room from the outside and at the same time ensures that condensate escapes from the insulation to the outside due to microperforation. This type includes: YUTAFOL D Standard, YUTAFOL D Special, YUTAFOL DTB Standard, YUTAFOL D Silver;

– Superdiffuse membrane YUTAVEK , due to its high vapor permeability (1000 g / m2 / 24h), significantly increases the weatherability of water vapor from the interior of the object. YUTAVEK is used in construction with any type of thermal insulation for all types of roof and wall structures;

– Anti-condensation YUTAKON with a moisture-absorbing non-woven material capable of absorbing all the condensate that forms.The desiccant nonwoven fabric dries quickly in the air flow. Recommended for all types of metal tiles (Rannila, Kami, etc.).

Vapor barrier films are placed between the insulation and the ceiling or wall decoration and prevent the penetration of water vapor from the internal space of the object into the thermal insulation, which leads to a significant reduction in water condensation in the insulation layers.

This type includes:

– Vapor barrier YUTAFOL N Standard, YUTAFOL N Special, YUTAFOL N Silver :

– Vapor barrier with an aluminum reflective layer YUTAFOL N AL , which has increased vapor resistance and reflects part of back to the interior of the object.

All vapor barrier films are recommended to be tightly connected with double-sided self-adhesive butyl rubber tape YUTAFOL SP 1 .

Subroof superdiffusion membrane UTAVEK

Functions. YUTAVEK is used as a vapor-permeable under-roof waterproofing to protect under-roof structures, thermal insulation and the attic from moisture resulting from rain and snow, as well as from dust, soot and adverse effects of wind.Due to its high vapor permeability, UTAVEK increases the weatherability of water vapor from the internal space of the object. YUTAVEK can be used in construction with any type of thermal insulation and for all types of roof and wall structures.

Specification . YUTAVEK is a three-layer polypropylene material consisting of two outer layers (black and white) for strength and an inner layer for waterproofing. This material has a high vapor permeability (1000 g / m2 / 24h).The roll has dimensions of 1.5 x 50m and a density of 150 g / m2.

Usage. YUTAVEK is mounted directly on thermal insulation or other base covering the roof load-bearing structure, where the membrane contacts the thermal insulation with its white bottom side. This material can also be used for external insulation of vertical walls of an object. The UTAVEK membrane is recommended for all types of coatings. YUTAVEK should be stored indoors without exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays.

Roofing anti-condensation film YUTAKON

Functions. The roofing anti-condensation film YUTAKON is a material for protection against moisture penetration from the outside into the internal structure of the object, as well as against soot and dust in ventilated systems of inclined roofs. At the same time, it prevents condensing water vapor from draining onto the applied thermal insulation due to the use of a moisture-absorbing non-woven material (viscose).

Specification. Four-layer YUTAKON film is an ultraviolet-resistant polypropylene fabric laminated on both sides with a polypropylene film, to one side of which a moisture-absorbing non-woven material is attached.Top and bottom lamination provides waterproofing properties and vapor permeability of this film. The polypropylene fabric provides high strength, and the non-woven fabric absorbs water vapor generated in the interior of the object. After the condensation conditions disappear, the non-woven fabric dries quickly in the air stream. YUTAKON has a width of 1.3 and 1.5 m with a length of 50 m and a density of 130, 140 g / m2. The film, due to the raw materials included in its composition, has a long service life, no less than the used roof covering.In addition, it is not susceptible to rotting, mold, does not lend itself to pests, does not adversely affect health.

Usage. The advantage of YUTAKON is its strength and high UV resistance (12 months), which means that the roof after covering with a film can be uncovered for a long time, unlike other under-roofing films. It can be used to protect roof structures during the preparatory work before installing the roof covering, as well as to temporarily protect thermal insulation from the weather.Due to the fact that this film is vapor-tight and does not allow water vapor to penetrate from the interior of the object into the roofing, it reduces the possibility of condensation of water vapor on the roofing used. Although UTACON film can be used for all ventilated sloped roofs, it is recommended to use it mainly for profiled roofs (metal tiles) such as Gassell Profile, Rannila, Kami, Plegel, etc.

Roofing diffusion film YUTAFOL D

Functions. Serves as a vapor-permeable under-roofing film to protect under-roof spaces from dust, soot and moisture resulting from rain and snow, and in attic spaces it protects thermal insulation from external moisture and at the same time creates the opportunity, thanks to microperforation, to weather water vapor. The film is intended only for ventilated systems of inclined roofs, as well as for waterproofing wall structures when installing the film between the main load-bearing wall and siding.

Specification. Films YUTAFOL D Standard, YUTAFOL D Special consist of three layers: the main one is a reinforcing mesh made of polyethylene strips; and two outer ones made of polyethylene film. The reinforcing mesh gives strength to the material, double-sided lamination provides waterproofing properties, and the microperforation made creates the possibility of vapor permeability. In addition, this group includes UTAFOL D Silver film. On the surface of some films, a colored strip is located about 12 cm from the edge, indicating a vapor-permeable version of the film.In addition, the colored stripe defines the recommended horizontal overlap surface followed by the film web. More precise information regarding overlap is given in the table.

It contributes to a significant extent to the preservation of the long-term function of thermal insulation by preventing the penetration of water vapor from the internal space of the object into the thermal insulation, which reduces the condensation of water in the layers of thermal insulation.For example, the table shows data on the increase in the thermal conductivity of the material depending on the humidity, from which it can be seen that with an average of 3% moistening of the thermal insulation, the use of this film is necessary. At the same time, this film protects roofing and other structures from heat loss and leaks, retains heat in the interior and protects against the adverse effects of wind.

Functions. Provides air and vapor tightness of the film joint at vertical and horizontal overlap, serves for connection to protruding parts. For example, in the case of a smooth surface, it is used to attach to adjacent building structures.Thanks to butyl rubber and its perfect properties, this tape makes it possible not only to perfectly adhere films and other materials to each other, but also guarantees the strength of the connections against the penetration of water vapor.

This is a double-sided self-adhesive connecting tape made of butyl rubber without reinforcement measuring 1×15 mm, wound on a paper sleeve 45 lm each.

Application. Can be used to join polyethylene and polypropylene materials, these materials with others, such as metal, glass, wood, etc.while observing cleanliness and degreasing of surfaces.

Functions. Provides airtight adhesion of foils to adjacent building structures and prevents the passage of steam.

Specification. This is a one-sided self-adhesive tape made of impregnated soft polyethylene foam in the size of 4×15 mm, wound on a paper sleeve, 20 rm each.

In the case of using the YUTAKON film on a formwork or other base, it is necessary to insert a counter-lath 4×5 cm in size between the film and the base and a step of no more than 1. 2 m from each other.In all cases, the adhesion of the film to the lower area of ​​the roof and in the area of ​​the ridge must meet the conditions necessary for the mandatory flow of air, and a gap of at least 10 cm must be left in the area of ​​the ridge for ventilation. If you do not apply counter battens, water vapor will not be removed.

The bright side of the colored strip on the edge of the roll for YUTAFOL D Standard and YUTAFOL D Special films means the surface that should face the roofing (for the YUTAFOL D Silver film, the dark side).If you turn the film over, then its waterproofing properties, as well as vapor permeability, decrease. It cannot be applied directly to the formwork or other base, as well as at the junction with thermal insulation.

In the case of installation on a reconstructed roof with formwork or other base, it is necessary to insert between the film and the base of a counter-batten 3×5 cm in size and a step of no more than 1. 2 m from each other. When the film comes into contact with the substrate, the material loses its waterproofing properties, which are mainly based on surface tension or on the so-called “tent effect”.Consequently, a gap of 2-4 cm must be made between the film and the thermal insulation in accordance with the slope of the roof (see Table 1). In all cases, the installation of the foil in the area of ​​the ridge and the lower part of the roof must meet the conditions necessary for the mandatory flow of insulating air. Izospan C

Vapor barrier

The material is made of high density laminated polypropylene fabric. It is used as an additional moisture vapor barrier in non-insulated roofs to protect wooden structural elements and attic floors from under-roof condensation, atmospheric moisture and wind penetrating in places where the roof is not tightly laid.

Installed in interfloor ceilings as a vapor barrier to protect insulation of all types from high humidity in attics, basements and unheated basements.

Used as a vapor barrier for laminate and parquet floors. When installing floors on moisture-permeable foundations in basement, basement floors and in damp rooms, Izospan S material is used as a waterproofing layer in cement screeds.

Izospan D

Universal hydro-vapor barrier

Universal moisture-vapor barrier. It is a polypropylene fabric with a one-sided laminated polypropylene film coating.

Used in construction to protect building structures from the penetration of water vapor, condensate and capillary moisture.Due to its high strength, the material is able to withstand significant mechanical forces during installation, and can bear snow load for a long time.

“Izospan D” is used as a universal vapor barrier in all cases when it is necessary to protect the enclosing structures and insulation from the effects of water vapor from inside the room.

Installation instructions for connecting tape Izospan SL

When gluing vertical and horizontal joints of film materials in roofs and walls, the connecting tape “Izospan SL” is glued * to the edge of the lower reinforced panel with release paper upwards.Then, with the overlap required according to the instructions, the upper panel of the material is laid and fixed. The release paper is removed from the connecting tape, and both panels are pressed against each other.

Early Years

Moreno was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, Rosa Maria (née Marcano), a seamstress, and Francisco José “Paco” Alverio, a farmer. She was nicknamed “Rosita”. Early career

Rita began her first dance lessons shortly after arriving in New York with a Spanish dancer known as “Paco Cancino” who was the film star’s paternal uncle. Rita Hayworth. She returned to the cinema at Night of the following day (1968) with Marlon Brando, followed by Popey (1969), Marlow (1969) with James Garner, Carnal knowledge (1971) and Ritz ( 1976). Personal life

In June 1965, Moreno married a cardiologist and her manager, Leonard Gordon. They stayed together until his death in 2010. [28] Moreno and Gordon have a daughter, Fernanda Gordon Fisher, and two grandchildren. [29] Once Moreno thought about leaving her husband, but could not, because she did not want to destroy the family. [30]

Moreno had a romantic relationship with the actor Marlon Brando. [31] It was a tumultuous relationship due to his infidelity.When Moreno became pregnant, Brando had an abortion. [32] After a failed abortion, Moreno attempted suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills. [32]
