2019 Back to School Trends With Staples – Observer News Group

2019 Back to School Trends With Staples

By Taliah McGuire, Contributing Writer-Los Angeles News Observer

It’s back to school season.

A time where a new pair of shoes gets to come out of it’s box, where backpacks are a big topic of conversation, and most importantly, when stores offer great deals.

Currently, Staples, one of the biggest office supply stores in the nation, is not only offering a plethora of trendy school supplies but a few major sales and rewards.

Price Match

In stores only, customers can bring in any other competitors’ product, including amazon, and Staples will match the price and give an additional 10% off.

Better Supplies

According to Andrew Angliss, Staples’, general manager at the Venice location, “Corporate has done a great job at getting more of an assortment of designs for our products.”

Backpacks, notebooks, and pencils come in different trendy prints such as 90s themes, animal prints, television characters, and pastel colors to give students a creative way to express themselves.

According to the 2017 Kids in Need Foundation’s Impact Report, colorful supplies, as opposed to plain or none, raise students’ self-esteem and make them subconsciously want to be more organized!

“We still carry great brands like Jansport and simpler designs,” Angliss says, “for those who are in high school or college.

Teacher Lists

This year, there’s no need for teachers to pass out unnecessary paper because Staples has your students school supply lists on hand at their website.

Classroom Rewards

They are also offering a classroom rewards program which contributes five percent of a parents back to school purchases to a teacher or a school of their choice.

Teachers just need to sign up online and can receive up to two-hundred and fifty dollars in rewards.

Angliss says, “General managers have going out to a bunch of schools in the area talking about it… the feedback we’ve been getting from teachers is out of this world.”

This program is especially to the teachers who have to purchase classroom supplies out of pocket, rather than with funds provided by the school.

Thank a Teacher

Thank a teacher is new national Staples campaign encouraging people to thank a teacher that has impacted their life in some way.

“Obviously, this year we’re really trying to focus on the teachers,” says Angliss.

People can get involved by nominating their teacher of choice and sharing a story on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtags #Sweepstakes and #ThankATeacher. People can also walk into any Staples store and write down their choice on a chalkboard placed around the store.

At the end of the season, ten teachers and/or schools will be selected to receive ten-thousand dollars.

“Overall, it’s just an exciting time of year for us… we’ve partnered with St. Mark private school here in Venice and have taken care of all of their school supplies for the year.”

Angliss also describes the back to school block party select stores have been having.

“… We partner up with schools, vendors, and small businesses to get some excitement from kids and their families… it’s just a really good time.”

Head over to Staples to participate in these festivities before this back to school season ends. †.

“Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping our future, and the relationships
that teachers foster with their students are often some of the most enduring
and powerful there are,” said Mike Motz, CEO of Staples Stores. “In fact, more
than 75 percent of Americans report having a favorite teacher while at school,
according to our recent survey. Yet all too often, appreciation for teachers
and the importance of their impact goes under-recognized. So, this Back to
School season, we wanted to give teachers the recognition they deserve, and
unite communities to support each other.”

How to Enter:
To encourage recognition of teachers across the country, Staples asks you to
share on Twitter or Instagram a photo, story or video thanking a teacher who
has positively impacted your life as part of the Staples #ThankaTeacher
Sweepstakes. Now through September 14, you can nominate your teacher for a
chance to win $10,000 in Staples gift cards for their school by tagging
@StaplesStores and including the hashtag #ThankaTeacher and #Sweepstakes along
with your post on Twitter or Instagram. Ten lucky schools will win $10,000 in
gift cards to use on getting the supplies needed to ensure they’re ready for a
successful school year.

To bring the creative to life even further and kick off teacher recognition
across the country, Staples teamed up with mom of three, and back-to-school
veteran, Elle Walker of What’s Up Moms. With the help of Staples, Elle
surprised her high school media teacher, Robin, with a special thank you for
her support in getting Elle to where she is today. Watch the surprise and
reunion unfold here:

Elements of the Thank a Teacher campaign were concepted in conjunction with
Staples’ new back to school television spots that showcase teachers who
inspire students to find and nurture their own unique potential.

Buying These Back-to-School Supplies in Bulk Can Save You Money

  • Back-to-school season is upon us. If you’re the parent of a school-age child, or are still in school yourself, chances are you’re in the thick of back-to-school shopping.
  • Buying certain products in bulk is a great way to save money and make sure you don’t have to do multiple school supply shopping trips.
  • From pencils to folders, we rounded up 7 products you should buy in bulk this back-to-school season and where to get the best prices.

LoadingSomething is loading.

Growing up, I always looked forward to going back to school. Not just for the classes, but for the shopping trip that would come before the first day. A fresh set of colorful gel pens, stickers to personalize my folders and notebooks, erasers galore — back-to-school shopping always made me more excited for the school year ahead.

Now it’s back-to-school season for students (and their parents) which means there are lots of school supplies to be picked up. Luckily, there are plenty of retailers running back-to-school sales and making it even easier, and more affordable, to do your school-year shopping.

Another way to save money and shop more efficiently is by buying some supplies in bulk. Chances are if you don’t use them all this year, you’ll use them the next. When I was in school, my mom always kept extra school supplies in the closet, so if my siblings or I ever came to need them, we wouldn’t have to make a trip to the store — we could just take from the stockpile we already had. This came in handy often, particularly when it came to finishing up last-minute projects that required a lot of supplies.

Saving time, money, and trips to the store are all benefits of buying in bulk, and luckily, there are lots of places to do it. We perused Staples, Amazon, Boxed, and Walmart to see which had the best prices on bulk school supplies.

When choosing where to do your back-to-school bulk shopping, there are a few factors to consider. For example, if you’re an Amazon Prime member, buying off Amazon may be a no-brainer for sheer convenience. Walmart is offering competitive shipping options, too, with free next-day delivery on orders of $35 or more. Boxed offers wholesale prices without the need for a membership, and Staples has back-to-school promotions and other benefits that may bring the cost of your overall order down. That being said, from our selection, Amazon and Boxed offered most of the best prices.

Keep reading for seven school supplies you should buy in bulk, and where to get the best prices:

Where Have All the One-Cent School Supplies Gone?

A dozen states are offering tax-free back-to-school shopping this weekend. But no matter what state you’re in, you’ll be hard pressed to find nearly as many one-cent school supply deals as you used to. Unfortunately for penny-pinching, penny-sale fans, it appears the once-popular promotion may have just about run its course.

Time was, you could hit up multiple office supply stores and stock up on paper, pencils and Post-Its for a penny apiece. Staples led the way with one-cent back-to-school sales, beginning in 2006. And competitors Office Depot and OfficeMax quickly followed suit. But now, Staples is apparently leading the way in phasing out the super sales.

For the past several weeks, Staples has been advertising a “Back-to-School Less List”, featuring a selection of products like notebooks, folders, pencils and glue for less than a dollar. The deals are branded as “our lowest prices all season long,” which is essentially code for, “don’t hold your breath for a one-cent sale.”

Office Depot and OfficeMax are still offering penny items this year. But there’s a catch. Since the stores’ merger last year, the once-dueling office supply stores now offer a combined weekly circular. So they’re now two stores, with just one set of sales.

That means, in one year, we’ve gone from three office supply stores offering three sets of one-cent sales that changed from week to week, to just one. By this time next year, it may even be zero.

So what happened?

“We needed a way to get the word out and break through the clutter,” then-Staples executive Don LeBlanc told the Chicago Tribune in 2009. “It doesn’t matter what the item is. One penny is a great deal.”

But it’s hard to break through the clutter when everyone else is offering penny deals, too. So this year, Staples opted for an “everyday low prices” approach instead of offering loss-leading doorbusters. It’s also offering a “110% Price Match Guarantee,” in which it will match competitors’ prices plus an additional 10% of the difference.

That may prove to be less costly to Staples than offering penny deals, because after so many years of one-cent sales, some shoppers were just getting too good at beating the system. “For school shopping, I go from Staples to OfficeMax to Target to see who has the best deals,” one Chicago shopper told the Tribune. “You have to bounce around and grab what’s on sale.” Another shopper said the penny deals would get her in the door, but she wouldn’t buy other items if she knew they were cheaper somewhere else.

The one-penny frenzy got so extreme, that you might find yourself grabbing up all the one-cent deals, even things you didn’t even need, just because you could. Need a pack of pencil erasers? No? Well, they’re just a penny, so might as well grab a few and stick ’em in a drawer.

And then there’s what happened in New York last year.

Staples held a “back to school” sale unlike any that shoppers in its stores have ever seen. In order to win a major contract to sell office supplies to the State of New York, Staples offered to sell state agencies some 219 items for just a penny apiece. Just like in its stores, the company hoped to recoup its losses by selling thousands of other items at full price.

But we’re not talking penny items like a pad of Post-It notes, a ruler or a pack of index cards, limit 4, with a $5 purchase. The penny items offered to New York state agencies included a 48-box case of Kleenex, a 72-pack of batteries and an $1,100 paper shredder. No limits, no minimum purchase required.

So, like frenzied shoppers breaking down the doors on Black Friday, New York state public employees went wild. “It was a free-for-all,” one agency head told the Wall Street Journal. “I have some products up the yin-yang,” said another.

Documents dug up by the newspaper show that the Attica Correctional Facility bought a half million paper clips – for $5. A State Department of Motor Vehicles office ordered 8,000 rolls of packaging tape. And a charity benefiting disabled people ordered 240,000 boxes of Kleenex, for a grand total of 50 bucks.

“This order alone exceeds the capacity of 10 tractor trailers (and) has a retail value of $399,500,” a Staples executive complained. Staples refused to fulfill the order. But during the first few months of the contract, it delivered $22.3 million worth of penny items, for which the recipients paid $9,300.

No wonder Staples isn’t interested in providing penny items for the rest of us anymore.

So next time you see an extreme couponer with a roomful of toilet paper, or buying 100 bottles of mustard that they’ll never use, it could be worse. They could be a New York State public agency. Somehow, buying a few packs of one-cent erasers that you don’t really need, doesn’t sound so bad.

If only we could anymore.

Back to School – Style – Kommersant

Even if the studies are far behind, there is no need to rush to the university for the first couple, and on September 1 you have to go to school only for the company with the children, in the second half of the year it is better to immediately tune in to a working mood – until the end of the year there are only four months, and they will surely be rich. Gold pencils, diamond paper clips and other jewelry inspired by stationery are ready to provide moral support.

Designers are nostalgic for school years in different ways. The Russian brand AVGVST, recalls the main children’s delicacy of children – chupa-chups, turning the cherished sweetness into a pendant made of semi-precious stones.

The jewelry house de Grisogono comes up with jewelry like key rings that hung on the backpack of every second first grader. Only now these funny cartoon figures are not made of plush and padding polyester, but of gold and expensive colored diamonds.

AVGVST has phalanx rings in the form of silver plasters with enamel for grown-up fidgets and fighters – when abrasions and bruises remain in the distant past, but nostalgia for past victories in the yard remains.

In the collection of the American brand Jacob & Co. The , known for its large, complex and expensive watches, also found a place for Safety Pins. Exactly such lovely hairpins were exchanged by girlfriends at breaks.

Lorenz Beumer recalls the handwriting and imperfect handwriting with which teachers struggle throughout elementary schools in the Ecriture gold scribble jewelry collection. The Englishwoman Solange Azagury-Partridge also has scribbles, but as if for students who know a lot about neon colors.

Pandora propose to assemble an in memoriam set of charm pendants in the form of globes, backpacks stuffed with textbooks and headphones, thanks to which the time on the way to school flies unnoticed.

And the pencil cases? And all this mess of paper clips, pens and pencils with which they were packed to overflowing? Canadian Lauren Klassen turned this entire school stationery into a collection of fashionable jewelry for every day.Designer Niki Laskin made a slide rule bracelet, and Brent Neal came up with scissor-shaped earrings – the very ones that no labor lesson could do without.

The Russian brand Epic Jewelry has dedicated a whole collection of to the intricate stationery. It has all kinds of jewelry options in the form of gold and silver paper clips and pencils made of coral and sapphires. And also gold earrings-studs – exact copies of sharp buttons. And do not even deny, because more than once they put such a beloved teacher and a neighbor on the desk!

90,000 How to bring food to school safe and sound? – Gala Center

September 1 is coming soon and this is not just the beginning of the next month or the start of autumn, this is the beginning of the school year. And besides the question of how to get the child to school, parents ask themselves the question – what kind of food should the child take with him to school as lunch. Many schools cannot provide all children with free breakfast or lunch, so having a school snack with you is a must.

Buy a thermos for tea and soups

The main task of a thermos is to keep the temperature of the product, it does not matter if it is warm or cold. When the first drink or a warm drink is to be given to a child at school, the dishes are still faced with the task of not spilling a drop, because it is impossible to avoid jumping and running around. In order for the cooked soup to be eaten and not collected in a portfolio, a thermos must meet the following characteristics:

  • The thermos mug must be with a valve and a flask. If tea is poured into a thermos, this type of design allows you to pour liquid without opening the lid. This allows you to keep the temperature for a long time.
  • Sturdy, reliable housing.
  • When buying a thermos, pay attention to the smell inside the dishes.
  • A high-quality thermos for tea will not change the temperature of the case if you pour hot liquid into it.
  • The thermos handle must be made of durable, heat-resistant plastic.

Testing a new thermos should take place in two stages. First, pour in the hot liquid for 15 minutes. Then, after the lapse of time, refill the dishes with boiling water and leave for 24 hours. If the case hasn’t changed the temperature, the hotter you poured remains hot and there are no smudges on the table – congratulations on a successful purchase!

A thermos with a wide mouth is suitable for first courses. The thermo mug is equipped with an additional handle, easy to carry, and made of materials that prevent heat.

The thermos for the soup and the second differ from each other in shape. The first is conveniently stored in a thermos in the form of a bottle with a wide mouth.

Which container to choose for school snacks

If a child has a light snack on the menu today, such as sandwiches, a container for storing food will do. It can be plastic, metal, the main criterion is compact size, lightness and durable cover. When choosing a container, consider your child’s appetite and load. When a difficult and long day is ahead at school, a container from several tiers will come to the rescue: an afternoon snack and lunch can easily fit there.

This type of tableware is useful not only for carrying food to school or work. Many housewives prefer to store food in a container – one container takes up much less shelf space in the refrigerator than a saucepan or frying pan.

You will find a wide selection of containers for storing food in the catalog of the Gala Center company.Free delivery throughout Russia and Crimea, personal manager, flexible terms.

90 000 DIY crafts for the school anniversary photo – ISaloni – interior studio, wallpaper salon

what to give school for an anniversary or birthday, cool craft ideas for schools

Studying is not always so fun, study can be difficult and tedious at times. In order to somehow add variety to your school routine and make school time at school or the time doing your homework a little more enjoyable, you can create some small projects in the form of decor for school supplies with your own hands.

Below are some DIY school ideas. And if you think what to give the school for the anniversary, then such crafts can act as a gift.

DIY Gift Ideas

So, below are 10 handicrafts , which will be good helpers for schoolchildren.

  1. Calendar. Using colored stickers and photo frames, you can make your own monthly calendar. As a basis, you need to take a dense Whatman paper or not too thick plywood sheet. To give the calendar a more aesthetic look, plywood or Whatman paper should be framed.
Next, at the top in the center of our calendar, you need to attach the name of the month written on cardboard to double-sided tape. On small pieces of cardboard, write the days of the week. The days of the month will be located under each day of the week, which will be the stickers. On these colored stickers, you can write assignments or scheduled meetings, classmates’ birthdays. At the end of the month, you can simply remove the stickers along with the name of the month, hang up new ones.Such a calendar can also be presented as a birthday present for the school.
  2. Decorative pencils. Why buy beautiful pencils if a student can make them at home on their own, and it will be absolutely inexpensive. First of all, you need to buy the cheapest package of pencils. For decor, you will need colored decorative tape. Here, it only remains to show a little creativity and imagination, coming up with various options for patterns that can be placed on pencils.
  3. Another version of the idea of beautiful pencils. It just takes a few jars of nail polish. With varnish, you need to put multi-colored dots on your pencils and pens. You can even make sloppy bloopers on them by waving a brush over a pencil. This will make the pencil look pretty unusual.
  4. Unusual pencil jar. As a rule, pencils need to be stored in a holder of some kind. For this, you can use a small log. Ask an adult to punch small holes in a piece of wood, but only in such a way that a pencil or pen will fit into the holes. This will be a convenient and budget option for a stand of your accessories.
  5. Pencil case for storing office supplies. To make such a pencil case unusual and different from the pencil case of your classmates, we recommend using this idea. To do this, you need to take a long piece of fabric, sew a zipper to it, and place a bow on top. Of course, this version of the pencil case is most suitable for girls.
  6. Schedule of lessons. You can independently make a schedule of lessons, sections to which the student goes.In order to make an unusual schedule, you need to take an A4 sheet and decorate it around the edges with colored tape. Here you have to show your imagination. In the main part of the sheet, draw a table for each day. You can attach a ready-made schedule to your tablet.
  7. Decorated notebooks. To prevent notebooks from looking boring, they can also be beautifully decorated. Before that, colored paper for decor or simple wrapping paper for gifts will come in handy. In the future, everything will depend only on your imagination.
  8. Banks for storing office supplies. If you don’t have enough space to store all your school supplies, cans can help. Coffee cans work best. You will need several jars, for example, six, which must first be decorated, and then glued together, forming a pyramid.
  9. Decorated push pins. How to make regular push pins more attractive? This is done quite simply. To do this, you need nail polish and a little imagination to apply unusual patterns to the buttons.
  10. Unusual cover. A cover made of pencils for a notebook or notepad will look quite original. To do this, purchase a package of simple, unsharpened pencils, as well as hot glue. Connect the pencils together with glue so that they can completely cover the notebook or notebook. No one else will have such a notebook.

Teenagers always want to be different from their classmates. Any student wants his school supplies to look different from everyone else.Of course, the easiest way is to buy some unusual notebooks, pencils and pens in specialized stores, because the choice of stationery for the school is now quite large. But it will be more interesting to decorate your stationery yourself . So they will look exclusive and original.

Other decor options for school supplies

Ideas for school supplies, which are described below, do not require any particular effort or special expense. You just need to set aside a little time, realize your imagination and prepare ordinary notebooks, pens, pencils and paper clips. Everything that you need in the classroom, you can easily turn into real creative things for school, only by being inspired by such ideas.
Classmates will definitely envy!

Pencils and pens

You just need to tape over each pencil and enjoy the variety of your school supplies. The pencil case can also be easily made by hand. This was discussed above;
  • a second life to a pencil can be given with simple PVA glue and glitter;
  • The pens, which are decorated with variegated feathers with a watercolor pattern, will look very original.Feathers can be used both real and made of paper.

  • You can decorate your notebook by making a fabric cover for it. The advantage of these covers is that they are quite pleasant to the touch. Additionally, you can make pockets on them, inside or outside, and there is also a variety of textures and patterns. In addition, such covers are distinguished by a simple technique of execution;
  • is rather strange, but the embroidery on the notebook will look beautiful.However, it is recommended to use such decoration for monochromatic notebooks with soft cardboard covers;
  • also on the outer covers you can draw stamps and drawings, thus decorating your notebook. You will definitely love her look;
  • The already mentioned decorative tape can also be wonderful decorating the outer covers of notebooks, folders, books and albums. Glue thin strips of scotch tape straight or diagonally, create your own special pattern;
  • Stick a photo collage made from your favorite photos or pictures from summer holidays on your notebook;
  • openwork decor will be interesting for girls.Such covers on notebooks will look very romantic.
Medal with photo

Huge golden medal will be an excellent gift for school. You can use cardboard as a base, but foam will be better.

First of all, it is necessary to decide on the size of our medal. Choose the diameter of the future medal so that photos of all school teachers can fit in it. Cut an even circle from a piece of Styrofoam approximately 3 cm thick.Cover this piece of Styrofoam with gold or silver paper. We recommend using gift wrapping . The medal can be decorated with rhinestones around the perimeter. Place pictures of your school teachers inside the medal, and write happy birthday wishes somewhere in the center.

Finally, attach tape to the medal. For this, you can use satin fabric or large beads.

Book with photo

Agree, everyone is already tired of various crafts in the form of a panel.

A great alternative to this would be a book with photos of teachers and wishes for the school.

To make such a craft , you will need to spend a little money by purchasing large stationery rings for binding pages.

As a cover for a book, you can use some kind of decorative cardboard or thick Whatman paper. Choose some unusual cardboard colors, for example, bright red, silver, black. In the latter case, such a cover can be decorated with rhinestones or decorative tape in metallic color.Get creative. Use glitter, nail polish, and more to decorate. Cut out 2 rectangles of the same size from cardboard, which will act as the front and back covers of the book.

Pages should be cut out of thinner cardboard. Don’t do too few, but not too many, pages. Let there be 20-30 pieces of . Here you already have to show your imagination. On the pages you can place photos of teachers, write wishes and congratulations under them. You can also post photos of the school, photos from various school events. Decorate each page.

When all the pages and cover are ready, you need to make holes in them in which you need to insert rings. Four rings will be enough.

Such a book will become an original decoration of the director’s office or school museum .

When making a do-it-yourself gift for school, use all of the above techniques that can be used to decorate stationery.Currently, in stores you can find various decorations, ribbons that can be used to decorate literally any thing. Show a little imagination, set aside a few hours, and you can please your favorite school with an unusual gift. Don’t be afraid to turn your wildest fantasies into reality. Try and you will certainly succeed!

Craft for the anniversary of the kindergarten 50 years

The simplest and at the same time having a huge number of variations in the performance of the gift is a postcard.During the creation of the postcard, you can show all your creativity by combining various materials and techniques. First you need to think about how the postcard should look on this holiday, after looking at ideas, take something for yourself, purchase materials.

On February 14, you can make a card with hearts. To make it, you need to bend a sheet of dense plain cardboard in half, purchase scrapbooking paper, a figured hole punch, threads, glue, and a needle.

Make hearts with a hole punch from scrap paper, and if there is no such hole punch, you need to cut them yourself. Now they need to be arranged neatly in rows on the front side of the future postcard, and then glued.

Now over the first hearts, sew the second ones back. To make it look as neat as possible, use a typewriter. After making the gift, write nice words for the person inside the card.

SOKIK | The village of Novy Vasyugan | School Life

“Hello, school!” – these words familiar to us from childhood are pronounced by millions of schoolchildren on the first autumn day, once again crossing the threshold of their native school. And in the Novovasyugan school, these words were uttered several hundred times on January 31, 2014. Weird? Not at all! After all, it was on this day that our school celebrated its 80th anniversary.

At the beginning of the academic year, an initiative group was created that developed a program for celebrating the anniversary. There were many plans, but everyone had a positive attitude, so the upcoming work did not frighten either the teachers or the students. First of all, it was necessary to inform all guests about the time and place of the anniversary. We decided to use modern means of communication – the Internet and cell phones. “The language will bring it to Kiev” – we hoped for folk wisdom. And for good reason. We cannot say anything about Kiev, but the news reached Kolpashev, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg. And if the guests themselves could not come, then we received greeting cards from them, for which we are enormously grateful to them. But special thanks, of course, to those who nevertheless managed to get to New Vasyugan. And there were many such people.Frankly, we did not expect so many guests. The road to us is not easy. Moreover, the weather was warm, and for a winter road, warm is not the best condition. But on the eve of the jubilee, frost struck, and the people began to fuss. Must go! On the day of the anniversary, the temperature was over 40, but how happy we were to every guest! We were happy to meet V.I. Terentyev at school (in the 80s – a teacher of the NVP), the Desyatkov sisters, the Apalkov spouses and many others …

The anniversary program was very eventful. We have implemented everything that we had planned.

Guests were greeted by high school girls in school uniforms from the 80s, who registered graduates, presented them with souvenirs with anniversary logos and invited them on a tour of the school. Believe me, there was something to see. And, above all, our school art exhibitions. More than 150 children took part in the creation of the works, for which they were subsequently awarded.

One of the important events of the anniversary day was the opening of the school museum. The idea of its creation was born long ago, but it was possible to start work only this academic year. This important matter was supervised by the director of the school, Valentina Yegorova, who systematized museum materials and designed exhibitions. And although there is still a lot of work in this direction, today we can proudly say that now our school has its own museum.

The two-hour excursion for the guests passed unnoticed. They looked at the photographs with excitement, hoping to see familiar faces and events on them, read the compositions and poems of their children and grandchildren, examined their drawings and crafts … And then the long-awaited school bell called everyone to the assembly hall, where the festive concert began.Of course, concerts at school are not uncommon. But this concert was different from all others for its organic nature and beautiful decoration.

The main hero of the holiday was the Keeper of school time (in the role of the Keeper – the 2011 graduate Alexander Ogarkov). It was he who 80 years ago began to keep the school chronicle, in which he accurately recorded all important events. Merry Minutes made a lot of noise and chatted at the holiday (4th grade pupils: Liza Yuzhakova, Vlada Kuklina, Alena Noskova, Olya Boroznenko, Lena Vetova).Still would! After all, they are always running forward, replacing events!

The presenters – Durynina OB, a 1994 graduate, and Alexander Portnyagin, a 2011 graduate – talked about everything that evening: about the first school day and the prom, about pioneer youth, about first love … And in every line school history had facts, events, and names familiar to the school’s graduates.

On this day, we could not help but remember those with whom the school began and who are no longer around. Many years have passed, but we still cherish the kind look of Olga Timofeevna Zonova, the entertaining experiments of Pavel Petrovich Khalev, the friendly smile of Emilia Anatolyevna Kiryanova, the music lessons of Zoya Vladimirovna Alifanova, the painting in the diary of Alexandra Konstaninovna Petukhova, the philosophical teachings of Ernst Genrikhovich. we were … “- this song performed by V. Alifanov.V., we honored the memory of those who are no longer with us.

And later we greeted our veteran teachers with a smile and bouquets of flowers. Now they are rare guests. And once their every day began on the threshold of our native school. And they are especially grateful from the entire current school team. “The team of our youth! You are a school we cannot live without, ”35 teachers working at the school today spoke from the stage. And they are all creative, proactive people who love their work and their school.

Truly professional performances of Novovasyugan talents became a real decoration of the 80th anniversary of the school. In the images of schoolgirls, athletes and pioneers, the choreographic group “Rainbow” (directed by E.V. Efimenkova) literally “lit” the hall. The folk group “Elegy” and the vocal group “Naughty Girls” (headed by Porozova EE) delighted the guests with their polyphony, the soloists of the House of Culture Vladimir Maksimtsev, Maria Kozlova and Ksenia Yuzhakova presented minutes of nostalgia.Without these people, our holiday would hardly have been so bright and memorable!

One by one, we flipped through 11 pages of the school annals. 11 pages are like 11 school steps. 11 school years. And every graduate has these 11 years – the best, the youngest, the most fun. Graduates were able to recall their school years in our school cafe, which opened immediately after the official part. The school cafeteria hummed like a beehive. There was a lot to talk about. Meeting classmates and teachers gave everyone a few pleasant hours of communication. The most friendly on this day were the graduates of 89, 90 and 91 years old.

And then the long-awaited disco began. That evening, retro hits of the 80s and 90s sounded for our guests, everyone was kindled in the dances. Long after midnight, the graduates went home, hoping for the next meeting with their beloved school.

School … Novovasyugan secondary school … What is it? It has a wonderful teaching staff, many smiling faces. So she is happy. Graduates are always welcome here. So she is hospitable! Here we are ready to help every student. It means that she is kind. Former students bring their children and grandchildren here. It means that she is beloved. This is how our school is. Dear! Novovasyugan.

Website MOAU OOSH No. 22 Orsk

Good afternoon to all those present, whose lives and destinies united and unites, warmed and warms with their warmth – kind, reliable, loyal, cozy and beloved school number 22!

Dear friends! Dear guests! Today is our solemn day.We are celebrating the 45th anniversary of our school. The joy of this event is shared with us by our guests: Veterans of the school. Teachers and directors who have worked at our school in different years. Dear guests of our school. Parents. Dear friends! On behalf of the teaching staff of the school, I would like to welcome you to the anniversary of our school. Thank you for the honor and attention! May today each of you feel the most desired and long-awaited on our holiday. School is the main stage in our life. It forms character, teaches us to relate correctly to the world around us.At school we find our first true friends and first love. School is the place where we experience the first joys of victory and try to hide the bitter tears of defeat. The school teaches us to overcome difficulties and not stop there. Our whole life is connected with school. We remember that we start ourselves with the first school bell, with the first bouquet for our very first teacher, with the first school friends. School … Everything is there for the first time. The first lesson, the first grade, the first warm look thrown at you by a classmate, the first essay, the first remark, the first love … All the first … The older you get, the closer and dearer you are to everything related to school.Only having matured, becoming a literate, independent person, you finally understand that everything that you have was given to you by her – your half-forgotten school. It was she who taught you to write and read, to solve problems that have become more and more difficult from year to year. It was she who opened thousands of roads for you and helped you choose one, along which you confidently walked towards your goal. School number 22 was founded in the 30s of the last century. It was located on Tereshkova Street, 16. It was initial from the first days of its emergence. In the fifties it was listed as a seven-year school. The Municipal Archive Foundation contains information about the permanent connection between the school and the Biofabrika. According to the case, in 1958, 1959, with the help of the workers of the Biofactory, technical circles were created (projectionists, typists, tractor drivers, drivers). In 1974, the school acquired a new building and received the status of a high school. And in 2007, 3 preschool groups were opened on the basis of the school. 45 years old: a lot or a little? Many! Because several dozen graduates received knowledge, sports training, kind support and caring attention of teachers within the walls of our school. For each generation, she was her own, special, but always dear and beloved, since the traditions of the school are sacredly preserved and passed on from year to year. Few! Because the teaching staff of our educational institution is distinguished by high efficiency, striving for new heights. Thanks to the knowledge, pedagogical skills of the entire team, the school is in creative development. She is still young, inexhaustible for talents, inventive initiative, creativity, novelty. Speaking about a significant date for the school, we cannot but recall the veterans of pedagogical work.About people who gave their best and brightest to this school. About people who have been sharing all holidays and weekdays with us for many years. About the people who are at the very origins of the glorious history of our school. One of the first teachers was E.P. Starkov, V.S. Paskannaya, A.P. Filatova, Z.I. Shkaraput, I.N. Tkachev, M.F. Rubinskaya, O. I. Olshevskaya. Then the next generation of teachers came: V.A. Kuraeva, V.M. Shcherbenko, V.M. Ashikhmina, L. D. Konovalova, L.A., spouses Fetter, L.T. Babkina. T.E. Paskannaya N.A. Middle, K.B. Sarsembaeva, V.G. Kiyaykina, N.V. Lyutikova, E.N. Beloborodova, N.M. Lebedeva, M. Yu. Pluzhnikov. Our school is the keeper of traditions, invaluable pedagogical experience accumulated by excellent teachers throughout its almost half-century history. And it is not surprising that some of the teachers of our school are its yesterday’s graduates, following in the footsteps of their mentors: N.A. Seredina, T.E. Paskannaya, L.V. Starkova, A.A. Tulemisova, Yu.V. Afanasyeva, Kurina L.A., Krysova D.Zh., Danilenko O.A. Students of our school have always received stable and solid knowledge. Thanks to the high professionalism of teachers, our school has been famous for its students for 45 years. And today we are proud to talk about them: Filippov P.A. – former director of the Orsk meat-packing plant, N.A. Seredina – Deputy Head of the Soviet district of the city of Orsk, Orlov A.V. – doctor-therapist, Hasanov OV – head of the “Orsk city veterinary department”. For 45 years, the school has given a start in life to more than two thousand children, 5 of whom graduated with gold and silver medals: Timakina E, Orlova O, Almagambetova D., Udyanskaya V., Nikitin E. What is School No. 22 today? This is a highly professional teaching staff capable of solving almost any problem, creative, active, open to search. The school is undergoing a change of generations, and young specialists are replacing the teachers who have retired. And in general, this is a team of like-minded people, where relations of partnership, respect, trust prevail, and the atmosphere of success has become the norm! These are glorious traditions and splendid holidays. And, of course, these are our students motivated for high academic results. Those who are studying now, and those who continue their studies in other educational institutions, who are already working, but always keep the bar of a graduate of their native school high. Our children are sympathetic, kind, enthusiastic, capable, sometimes mischievous, but still the best. They have a variety of interests: singing, studying at a music school, dancing, playing sports, skillfully making crafts, drawing. These are the parents of our students, who are positive and actively helping teachers.Modern life requires the creation of a new school, a new student, a new teacher. School No. 22 meets these requirements through the search for new forms and methods of teaching, a creative approach to work and teaching skills. Over the 45 years of the school’s existence, the Days of Knowledge, Lessons of Morality, Courage, Local History, Memory Watch, Holiday of the First Bell, Childhood Lessons for Graduates, Gatherings of excellent students, Days of Self-Government, Initiation to first graders and fifth graders of the Republic of RUNViD, Day of Health, competition “Best student of the year ”, the last call. The teaching staff is convinced that the strength of the school lies in adherence to traditions, in preserving the atmosphere of co-creation of teachers, students and parents. Traditions give the school something special, unique that distinguishes it from others. Every day, the school team creates the history of the educational institution. A distinctive feature of our team is dedication! Despite the remoteness of our school from the city, we annually take part in regional and city events: keeping the Watch of Memory at post No. 1, cross-nation, Russian ski track, track and field relay race, “Young Sniper” competition, paramilitary relay race, mini-football competitions, ” One for all and all for one “,” One Day in the Army “,” Verbny Bazaar “,” School Spring “, every year teachers prepare students for city Olympiads, every year our students become winners and prize-winners of city Olympiads in life safety, physics, Russian language …Our graduates complete the 9th grade with dignity, receiving special certificates. They are supplied to SUZA for budgetary places. The school has a website that displays the bright sides of our school life. Someone from the wise once said that for every nation, the main thing after bread is school, and after the mother is a teacher. Our school today is a house that was built by all of us sitting in this hall: teachers, school staff, students, parents, of course, our honored guests. This house was built like a brick from our deeds, our qualities, talents and diligence.Everyone contributed something of their own. And the results are encouraging. We have something to be proud of. I want to say a huge thank you to our honored guests: first of all, the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Alkulov Ermek Kunakbaevich. For not leaving our school unattended. Svetlana Yuryevna inherited, deputy of the Orsk city council of deputies, director of the “Constellation” center, for the fact that thanks to your teachers, our children have the opportunity to study in circles on the basis of the school. For several years, on the basis of our school, there has been a club for teaching guitar playing, a dance club. Many thanks to the Deputy Head of the Department of Education Gorokhova Florida Khalitovna. Veterans, teachers, for giving the largest part of your life to school, because you lived as a school, and we continue your traditions. Thanks to teachers: Teachers and educators My dear colleagues! Today I would like to express my special gratitude to you. You are wise and intelligent, strict and kind, patient and sensitive, beautiful and funny, interesting and caring people. And together we, as time has shown, are a great creative, well-coordinated team! All teachers improve their qualifications in a timely manner, undergo certification, take part in competitions of different levels, conduct individual lessons for students, preparing them for subject Olympiads, competitions, exams. The happiness of a teacher is in the achievements of his students. Today I want to say a big thank you and congratulate all those who create comfort, coziness and keep cleanliness, those who feed our children on the holiday. Many thanks to the parents. Through the efforts of teachers, parents, an update is being carried out in the design of the school and the school yard. Our institution is a small country in which every child gets the opportunity to discover their talent. every child is a star for us We want to believe that the school has not only a glorious past, a good present, but also a wonderful future! We are optimistic about our tomorrow. We know that our plans will come true, hopes will not fade away, dreams will come true. And when we gather with you in five years to celebrate our golden anniversary, analyzing the last five years, we will tell ourselves that everything we thought about, what we dreamed of, what we wanted – all of this eventually came true. … Happy birthday school! Seacoast Waldorf School celebrates 20th anniversary – News –

ELIOT, Maine – Happy Birthday to Us! Students, teachers and staff sang the song for themselves at Seacoast Waldorf School as the school celebrated its 20th anniversary on Thursday.

Afternoon activities began with a group circle behind the school on Highway 236. Everyone refused when a drone operated by Ryan Kress from Portsmouth took pictures and videos. The uniqueness of the school was obvious: a yurt stood on one side of the field, a craft tent on the other, and birdhouses stood on poles in front.

Photographed by Rebecca Henry from South Berwick. She said that she has four children at school and the fifth is a graduate, now at Berwick Academy.

“School is a natural consequence of the family,” she said. “As if I could have left them at home at the time, but there is someone more patient here.”

After the photographs, everyone quickly dispersed to the far corners of the schoolyard, planting trees and a garden for pollinators and building bee houses.Ahead of them, the younger students planted a garden, and Nathan Vashon, in the third grade, volunteered to explain what the garden was for. Pollinators! he said and then explained that the pollinators were: “Bees!” He praised the quality of Waldorf education, saying: “We walk a lot in nature; it’s fun!”

Three teams planted trees and the tables in the tent were filled with students who were building bee houses to take them home.

Pam Fenner, the school’s founder 20 years ago, was watching. She said the Seacoast Waldorf Associate has made three attempts to open a seaside school. The third was successful in 1999 with the Tidewater School located further down Highway 236 from Beach Road.

The school moved in 2013 to its current location, 403 Route 236, and changed its name to Seacoast Waldorf School. At that time, it had a preschool, kindergarten and grades 1-3. A grade was added every year. In 2018, the seventh and eighth grades were added with the construction of a new building. Now the school has 105 students.

The Waldorf teaching method was started in 1919 in Stuttgart, Germany, by the Austrian Rudolf Steiner. It is the world’s fastest growing alternative education movement with an emphasis on creative learning and practice. Ninety-seven percent of Waldorf graduates go on to college.

This Thursday also marked the 100th anniversary of the Waldorf Method. According to the information provided by the school, it is based on play programs for young children that act as a natural extension of the home; celebration of nature and environmental awareness; inclusion of music, arts and languages; academic success and small classes with less focus on tests and homework and more focus on original thought.

Not all celebrations took place on the street. Handmade teacher Jasmine Proctor demonstrated the work of high school students: folding fabric, cross stitching and felting depicting bees, honeycombs, flowers and trees; one piece was a mobile phone suspended from tree branches.

Headmaster Karen Albert chilled the ardor a bit by serving ice cream to everyone in the artisans’ tent, because what’s a birthday without ice cream?

    Museum-School Partnership: 20th Anniversary

    Dear friend,

On November 1, I will be 20 years old as the executive director of Contemporary Craft. Where did the time go? Looking back over the past two decades, I am most proud of our 20-year museum-school partnership program, launched as a pilot in early 1996 with the support of the Grable Foundation.

Offered at South Brook High School in Brooklyn, the program provides long-term, intensive exposure to the arts for all students through in-class craft residencies: Quilted Traditions with Tina Williams Brewer (sixth grade), The Talisman Project with Jerry Florida (seventh class) and wooden bowls and handles with Linda Van Gehuchten (eighth grade).Residencies feature art-filled curricula that use art as a mechanism to engage learners, improve core learning, develop critical thinking, and develop creativity throughout life.

I want to share with you an excerpt from a review given by Magen Mager, a former art teacher in South Brook, at our Heart of Craft lunch last year about how this program impacted her students:

Contemporary Craft’s Museum School / Partnership supports our curriculum and empowers every student to learn.Pablo Picasso said that “every child is an artist.” Young children are expressive, wordy, and risk-averse. However, at the high school level, students lose confidence, become shy and seem to relate only to themselves. The Artist in Residence program allows students to solve problems, make decisions and find their place in the world. Making decisions makes them feel confident and confident. One student, Julia, was very quiet and insecure. When I sewed her a blanket, you could see her confidence grow.A peer of hers had difficulty sewing, so she volunteered to teach him. Let’s get back to business. Now in its fifth edition, the Revival Tour returns to the US coast-to-coast tour for the first time in two and a half years, led by country / punk troubadour Chuck Ragan and his band of gay men. After the resounding success of her hit 2007 hit “1234”, all was quiet for Leslie Feist. After being featured in iPod advertisements and on alternative radio, Broken Social Scene was catapulted into the mainstream, resulting in the song reaching the Billboard Hot 100, a gold record and four Grammy nominations. But instead of capitalizing on another quick success, Feist took a step backward, collaborating with a number of other musical projects, composing for other musicians and playing small roles. Then finally in 2011, after years of hard work and speculation, the Canadian singer returned with Metals, her top chart-topping album to critical acclaim. Although the album did not feature a brilliant pop single in the form of “1234,” Feist tried to establish herself as the unique voice of , not just pop star . At the Phoenix stop of her tour, Feist will be joined by Canadian folk musicians Timber Timbre at the orpheum Theater, an ornate, historic theater.

Springs for bookbinding machines in Togliatti

    Springs for bookbinding machines

Which spring to use for binding, plastic or metal?

Each type of binding spring has its pros and cons.

The number of bound sheets for plastic springs can be up to 500. But the sheets in the brochure will not be able to open 360 degrees. But they are not expensive. Plus the benefit of plastic binding springs is the availability of a variety of colors. This allows for very creative brochure designs.

It is easier to buy plastic springs for bookbinding machines in Togliatti, and their choice is richer. Standard diameters of plastic springs are 8, 12, 14, 16, 19 and 28 mm. For example: a spring with a diameter of 8 mm allows you to bind a bundle of 20-45 sheets, a spring with a diameter of 28 mm – a bundle of up to 240 sheets. It is rare to find a larger diameter.

In addition, the plastic springs are reusable and make it easy to add or remove sheets.Especially if it is a spring with a zipper. The zipper allows you to repeatedly open and close the spring without damage. And it comes complete with a set of springs.

Metal binding springs allow document to be opened 360 degrees, but the thickness of the bound stack should be no more than 150 sheets. The metal springs are practically disposable. You can unbend them and bend them again if you want, but the process is quite complicated and time-consuming. Metal bookbinding springs are more expensive than plastic springs. But they benefit in durability. The main color of the metal springs is black and white. Colored metal springs are almost never on sale. The diameters of the metal springs are 6, 8 and 14.3 mm. Spring with a diameter of 14.3 mm holds up to 120 sheets of paper.

Binding springs are sold in packs of 50 and 100.

You can buy plastic and metal springs for interlaced machines in Togliatti, Syzran and Samara at OfficeCom.

Do you know what PUANTILISM is?
The word “Pointillism” comes from the French word which means “point”.

“Pointillisme” (French Pointillisme, literally “point”, French point – point) is a trend in the visual arts, the founder of which is the French neo-impressionist painter Georges Seurat. As the name suggests, pointillism is painting with dots (point strokes). And, therefore, this technique is quite within the power of preschool children.
The peculiarity of the pointillism technique is the refusal to mix paints on the palette, the use of point strokes of pure colors, the mixing of which occurs at a certain distance.

What is so interesting about this technique? Creative activities contribute not only to the development of fine motor skills and creative imagination, but also to relaxation, calming the child, developing his perseverance, patience, and concentration.
“The origins of the abilities and talents of children are at your fingertips. From the fingers, figuratively speaking, there are the finest threads – rivulets that feed the source of creative thought. In other words, the more skill in a child’s hand, the smarter the child is ”(V. A. Sukhomlinsky)
In the process of drawing, children learn to reason and draw conclusions.Their vocabulary is being enriched.

Working with visual material, finding successful color combinations, recognizing objects in a drawing, children get satisfaction, they have positive emotions, and the work of their imagination is enhanced.

In order to conduct a lesson using these techniques, we will need:

colored or white paper, paints: watercolor or gouache, cotton swabs, you can use markers (felt-tip pens), wax crayons.

1.Draw a drawing template on paper with a simple pencil.

    2. Apply paint previously diluted with a little water on a cotton swab.

    3. Draw the outline by dipping a cotton swab into the paint.

    4. Fill with dots throughout the picture. If you need volume: often on the edge, in the center we rarely put dots with cotton swabs.

    5. When the whole figure is complete, the child can be given the task to arrange all the space around the figure.

In the course of work, it is worth telling the child about the special drawing technique. The essence of the technique is simple: the drawing is done with dots. It is important to highlight the details: paints do not mix. The color transition occurs optically when viewing the work. The circles can be placed with cotton swabs in different ways: close or far. This technique also creates transitions from light to dark and vice versa. It is imperative to show the child that you can do the work not only with cotton swabs, but also with your fingertips, felt-tip pens (markers) or colored pens. Perform several works with different materials for comparison or work with one, as it is convenient for you!

Children of primary school age can be taught to draw with cotton swabs, especially since it is still difficult for them to paint with a brush using the pointillism technique. But the cotton swab is more convenient and simpler, in addition, it does not need to be washed. However, despite the seeming simplicity, this is also a lot of work. While drawing using the pointillism technique, coordination of movements, accuracy and accuracy are trained, fine motor skills of the hands are developed. With older children, you can take a closer look at the work of pointillist artists, and choose more complex subjects for drawing – landscapes, still lifes, drawing pets, even a portrait. Drawings supplemented with dots look very impressive, for example, ready-made landscapes painted with watercolors or gouache, where snow, rain or parts of plants, animals and birds are drawn on a dried paint layer using cotton swabs. In addition, you can use not only gouache and cotton swabs in your work, it is worth experimenting by using markers with different rod thicknesses, felt-tip pens, colored helium pens, as well as melted wax pencils.

The technique of drawing with dots is unusual, interesting and quite simple.

Today I finally received my long-awaited order. I had to get nervous. I thought that the money spent had already been lost. The wish to the seller is to give the client a track number for tracking. It was not provided to me right away. It was sent after my many requests. On holidays, inform clients about the possible inaccessibility for communication (if they suddenly left outside the communication zone).

Tatiana, thank you for your message. We will definitely take into account your recommendations. And we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
