What Other Say:

Was in the shop today for about 30 minutes and wasn’t approached for help. Could have better customer service although I found what I was looking for in the end.

User (16/10/2017 11:09)
Worst customer service. I wish someone else out there would open a different chain store other than Spotlight. Each of their stores seem to hire the most unpleasant and unhelpful staff they can find. If you can avoid a Spotlight store, do so. Honestly not worth the stress of attempting to buy fabrics here or find anything Not in a mess. If you were helped by a nice/friendly staff member, buy a lottery ticket!! You’re the luckiest morsel ever to find that at Spotlight.

User (06/10/2017 12:18)
As usual there is not enough staff so no one will assist you, rediculously expensive and such a messy store! Can hardly believe how much of a shambles the fabric section is! I only go there because there is no where else to go except online. Wouldn’t recommend this store.

User (18/09/2017 12:45)
Helpful and friendly staff. Had everything I went in for. Good selection of products and good prices.

User (14/09/2017 18:09)
Wide range of products at reasonable prices. The checkout lady I had today was friendly and professional.

User (31/08/2017 17:07)
Cannington store – good customer service, great sales and has everything to Dec out your home

User (18/04/2017 23:08)
As much as you can find bargains in there, don’t get black feathers, they’ll rip you off and sell 10 oz. for $5

User (25/02/2017 08:51)
Good range and good sized store. Nice staff. Service can be slow sometimes (if the person in front of you wants 1m of 20 different fabrics!). Parking can be limited during peak times.

User (14/02/2017 21:02)
I went to get some stuff for my sons wedding in Cannington a staff member called Karen was amazing spent time with me gave me ideas , she is amazing at her job ,staff always seem busy but they stop to help I like that they are all older staff

User (08/01/2017 08:37)
Huge range of products. Staff are all over the place. Only a handful seem nice, helpful and easy to talk to. Having to find a staff member to find out prices on most items is a pain.
Not exactly a favourite store.

User (05/01/2017 12:33)
Appalling customer service, prices do not reflect what is shown until you reach the register. Brushed me off when I informed them of the discrepancy. Needs better training.

Spotlight finds a perfect home at HomeCo.

The Spotlight Retail Group, which owns and operates the Spotlight and Anaconda brands, is one of the most successful and fastest growing retailers in Australia, and a key strategic investor in Home Consortium, owner of the HomeCo portfolio of national retail centres.

The success of Spotlight Retail Group’s brands can be attributed to a number of factors, such as prudent management and a highly responsive organisational structure. However by far the most significant attribute of the company’s success is an unwavering commitment to offering market-leading convenience, choice and unrivalled value for money, and it is these attributes that has led Spotlight Retail Group to see a natural affinity with the HomeCo retail model, and make the decision to become an investor partner, and target the brands’ current expansion through new HomeCo centres.

Collectively, the Spotlight and Anaconda brands operate twelve stores in HomeCo centres across the country. For David Di Pilla, Chairman of Home Consortium, the two organisations are well aligned to partner for growth and success. “As an organisation, Home Consortium is continually seeking to establish relationships with like-minded businesses that share our values and future vision for retail in Australia,” says David, “because when business goals and philosophies align, that’s when the magic happens.

Mr Zac Fried, Executive Deputy Chairman at Spotlight Group Holdings agrees. “We see our investment in HomeCo as a solid and long term pathway for our future growth and success in Australia,” said Zac. “The HomeCo model is based on delivering affordable convenience to everyday Australians, and that’s very much aligned to the mission of all our brands.”

From humble beginnings in the 1970s as a single stall at Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, Spotlight has grown to include 130 sew, party, craft and home decorating superstores, with outlets in four countries, and operates a VIP Club with over five million members. Anaconda, a comparatively newcomer to the Australian market, has 50 stores across the country, and an Adventure Club database of over two million.

The sixth Spotlight store within the HomeCo portfolio opened today at HomeCo Butler, north of Perth in Western Australia, joining the best privately-owned provedore in WA, Spudshed, along with a selection of other leading Australian retailers set to open in the near future as part of Home Consortium’s convenience-based retail concept, designed to cater to everyday needs and lifestyle-based retail and services.

Spotlight is a family owned and operated Australian business with stores throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia. We employ more than 6,700 team members who are dedicated to providing the best quality, service, price and expertise in fabrics, craft and homewares to our millions of customers each year.

Their strong drive and business acumen led them to opening their first Spotlight store in Malvern in September of 1973, and have grown from strength to strength ever since.

As Spotlight’s presence has grown, so has our range of products. Spotlight has over one hundred stores across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, with hundreds of brands and thousands of products to choose from.

In 2014 we have started the unrolling of our new online store, so that our customers can get anything they need as well as expert advice when they can’t get to a store.

Spotlight has come a long way from the family fabric stall at the Queen Victoria Market, and we have not lost the personal touch, affordable prices and attention to quality which makes us one of the most beloved stores in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Whilst the products are usually top quality the online customer service is terrible. I have had two recent deliveries that were incorrect and I have sent several online “Customer Contact” emails. It has been nearly a month with only computer generate replies. I am so upset that the human response is not there. I feel that the after service is non-existant.

I tried to call Spotlight in Midland six times today twice I got through and was put through to the appropriate department and then was put on hold for 15 minutes before I got cut off. Three times I did get through and I was put on hold without actually speaking to anybody and then got cut off again after at least 15 minutes on hold, and on the six time I asked to speak to the manager whose name was Rebecca. She was extremely rude not at all interested in the fact that I was complaining about the poor service and not being able to get through all the time. She She accused me of abusing her instead of listening to my complaint and trying to resolve it. I think this service is an absolute disgrace. The manager of that store does not have the skills to be a manager and the store definitely needs an overhaul and review of it’s customer service abilities.

90,000 “The customer must be in the spotlight”

February 17 MGIMO was visited by the President of Auchan Russia
Jean-Pierre Germain. The lecture was dedicated to the success story of one
of the most influential French companies in the Russian
market.

The meeting was initiated by the French community, the organization passed
with the support of the Secretariat, the Alumni Association and the Development Fund
MGIMO.

Mr. Germain has devoted nearly 40 years to work in the corporation
own life.He started his professional career online
“Auchan” in 1975. Has been successfully developing business since 2001
in Russia. He admitted that he could open a new store in two
weeks – you just have to remove the overpriced product from the shelves.
at the price, bring high-quality and affordable products, add a little
decor – and success is guaranteed. Today the staff of the company
has 36,000 employees, and the stores of the Auchan chain are widely
presented all over the world. Mr. Germain shared his success story
with students and guests of MGIMO.

At the beginning of the journey, “Auchan Russia” occupied only a small office, and the chairs
and Jean-Pierre bought tables for his furnishings personally. To
to understand how the Russian consumer differs from the European one, the team
Jean-Pierre “introduced” into Russian families French
students who provided a report on daily life every Saturday
the average family: what they buy, what they eat and how they spend
free time. This helped shape the assortment, and years later,
it is safe to say that the strategy was correct.

The first Russian store of the Auchan chain was opened in Mytishchi. At first
competitors underestimated the scope of the company and laughed openly: “Who
will go outside the Moscow Ring Road to buy food? ”
Germain. But a wide assortment, attention to the client and affordable
prices could not fail to attract buyers.

“The client should be in the center of attention”, – the president believes
of the company “Auchan Russia”. Philosophy of the corporation wholly and completely
based on attention to people, both to customers and
and employees. In Russia, “Auchan” was created by the Russians: “They wanted
to achieve success, and we just helped them “, – not without
pride noted Jean-Pierre.

On average, prices for Auchan chain goods are 15–20% lower than market prices,
but the price, according to the president of the company, is not the main thing: “The price
takes only the third position, in the first place – quality,
the second is the freshness of products and a wide choice. ” One of the principles
the company’s pricing policy is “not expensive, but cheaper.” It means that
the buyer should always be able to buy ten grams
any product if he wants. He doesn’t have to
buy all two kilograms. Ten grams will not cost him much, but if
will buy two kilograms, it will be cheaper. “You can not deprive the client of this choice
and this opportunity, ”Jean-Pierre is sure.

Mr. Germain revealed to students the secret of effective advertising in Russia,
tested by my own experience: “If you want to open
some kind of enterprise, look first
per client. In Russia, grandmothers first come to the store, they
buy carrots, potatoes and then tell all their friends that
bought it cheap. “The most important thing is that the products are really cheap.
and high quality, then it will bear fruit. “I don’t know what they are doing
people in advertising agencies, I know grandmothers are
works, ”the speaker sneers.

Jean-Pierre Germain shared his ideas for the development of the company.
So, for example, by 2016 it is planned to open the 100th hypermarket
networks.

The lecture ended with a session of questions and answers. Most of the questions
related to the development of their own business and cooperation opportunities
with a corporation.

90,000 Russian art in the spotlight

An excerpt from the second chapter of the book “Discovery of Russia. The Decade of the New International: 1986-1996 ”, published by Garage Museum in 2016, is the memoir of Simon de Pury, one of the organizers and host of the Moscow Sotheby’s auction in July 1988.

From 1979 to 1986, I was the curator of the Thyssen-Bornemisza collection in Lugano, Switzerland, and it was in this capacity that I first came to the USSR.Vladimir Semyonov, the Soviet ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, approached us with a proposal to show the collection in Moscow and Leningrad, as a result of which we organized four exhibitions. In 1982-1986, I constantly shuttled between the two countries, doing these projects, and got acquainted with many directors of museums – with Mrs. Irina Antonova from the Pushkin Museum and Piotrovsky Sr. from the Hermitage [1] – as well as with the Minister of Culture.

When I started working at Sotheby’s in 1986, I continued to advise Baron Thyssen once a week and had the opportunity to accompany him on his trip to Moscow. In those years, your passport had to be kept in the hotel until the very departure, and when we arrived at the airport, I realized that I had forgotten to pick it up from the concierge: I had no choice but to return to the city. An official from the Ministry of Culture accompanied me to the hotel and back to the airport, so we spent enough time together. At some point, I casually asked what he thought about the possibility of organizing a Sotheby’s auction in Moscow. I expected him to laugh, but to my surprise, he agreed and asked me whose work I would like to include. I replied that partly these should be the founders of the Russian avant-garde, and partly unofficial artists, for example, Ilya Kabakov, Erik Bulatov and Oleg Vasiliev. He noted that this was an interesting idea and that I chose those artists that Mr. Yolles liked.

Paul Jolles (1919-2000) headed the foreign economic department in the Swiss government, and then was the chairman of the board of directors of Nestlé. In any country, he spent all his free evenings in the workshops of artists. In Moscow, I often accompanied him. And what I saw amazed me. The artists did not have any support, only a few materials and modest workshops. They did not have the opportunity to exhibit and travel. But a spirit of camaraderie and mutual assistance reigned between them. Later, when the Ministry of Culture confirmed its readiness to cooperate with these artists, I had to do something no less difficult – to convince people at Sotheby’s that there was a point in organizing the Moscow auction at that moment.

I have discussed this matter with Lord Gauri [2] and Michael Ainslie, general manager of the auction house. Then, perestroika had just begun, much was becoming available and there was a huge interest in how the country had changed in the years after the Cold War, a desire to look at the changes. I was just happy when Sotheby’s gave the go-ahead for the auction, which meant travel for me to select works.

Our main partners are two officials from the Ministry of Culture – Sergei Popov and Pavel Khoroshilov. We made a list, and they took the works from the artists and brought them to one Moscow church. We selected the best of these works and walked through the workshops ourselves with such artists as Vladimir Nemukhin, Vladimir Yankilevsky, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev and Vadim Zakharov, who became the youngest participant in the auction.

My task was to show the world what was going on behind the “Iron Curtain”, because many artists worked in complete isolation – do not forget, at that time there was no Internet yet. I felt that the auction would be a great way to draw public attention to what was happening in Russian art and increase its appreciation. At the same time, of course, I was worried that we should also sell the selected works. Everyone understood that there were no candidates for buyers among Russian collectors at that time, and then we organized a trip to Moscow for collectors from America and Europe so that they themselves could visit the workshops and learn more about the artists. The tour lasted for about a week. Peter Batkin, who was then in the sales department of Sotheby’s, was in charge of organizing it. He did a fantastic job, approached his task in a very creative way, and everything went smoothly and naturally.

During the tour, there were some funny incidents. One American collector in the workshop of Igor and Svetlana Kopystyanskikh was offered to exchange a Nikon camera for a painting, but he refused. And two days later, Elton John himself bought the same picture and another work of Svetlana at an auction for a lot of money. How that collector bit his elbows!

Sotheby’s auction. July 7, 1988. Sovintsentr, Moscow
© Sotheby’s

The auction was held at Sovintsentr at the International Hotel.TV reporters came from all over Europe, the audience was bursting with the audience. Until the last minute we were all in suspense: there were rumors that someone from the Politburo, some opponent of Gorbachev, would put pressure on and the event would be canceled; excitement did not let go even when the collectors arrived. Fortunately, this did not happen. However, another nightmare happened: we needed the telephone to work during the auction, but nothing worked that day. We kept the call center ready, and then five minutes before the auction, everything went off. That’s when I got really nervous. After all, the entire top administration of Sotheby’s was present, including the owner, Alfred Taubman. I remember thinking, “Well, that’s all.”

At that moment, Batkin saw that I was not myself, and poured me a glass of vodka, which I drank in one gulp and went to the department to start the auction. Then a miracle happened. I suddenly noticed that my colleagues are busy with phone calls: the lines are working. And so we started.

Auction began with the Russian avant-garde, followed by unofficial art.The first lot had the effect of a bomb exploding. People were bargaining like crazy, prices were three, four, or even five times higher than we had planned. After each blow of the hammer, the audience burst into applause. The audience rejoiced no less than a goal at a football match. When we got to the unofficial artists, something incredible began here, especially with the prices of Grisha Bruskin’s paintings, which left at such a price that we could not imagine in our wildest fantasies. It’s funny that after the auction, he was shocked and even broke his glasses, dropping them on the floor. When he tried to pick them up, his wife babbled: “Don’t worry, Grisha, you are now a rich man. I’ll buy you new ones, ”but he seemed unable to believe what had happened.

I think that the auction was really a turning point, as everyone saw the heights that the price of works by artists who were considered almost outcasts of society could reach. Of course, there were some controversial issues, even in the camp of the artists themselves. In the evening after the auction, they played a parody of him, an impromptu performance: they portrayed me accepting bids, the crowd and commented on the absurdity of the situation when art, which cost nothing, suddenly began to cost a lot of money.Nevertheless, the realization by Soviet officials that foreign collectors were willing to pay such sums for these works was the beginning of the end of the power of the Union of Artists and the entire system of division into official and unofficial art.

The most acute was the money issue. By agreement, the auction house was to transfer the funds received to the Ministry of Culture, which, in turn, took over the settlement with the artists.

But the weeks passed, and the artists informed us that they were not paid. The ministry responded to our inquiries that the process had started, but the press had already become interested in the case and there was a risk that our triumph would turn into a nightmare. It was then that Lord Gauri played his part. As Minister of Culture in the Thatcher government, he put the problem on the agenda of Gorbachev’s upcoming official visit to England. And the day before Gorbachev left for London, the artists suddenly received their money.

From an interview with Simone de Pury Keith Fowl on April 8, 2015.

Borderlands 3 Weapons Guide. Guns, great guns! – Gambling addiction

What is the rich arsenal of real Vault Seekers?

Attention, Vault seekers! Burst into the brand new Borderlands 3 , and your head is spinning from all the new types of weapons? Or just want to read about the basillion cannons? We present a guide to the arsenal of the new “board”, which will help you stock up in Markus’s store wisely!

Well… or you can continue to spend money on everything, it’s up to you.

Power of the Elements

The first thing to think about when you find a weapon in Borderlands 3 is its stats. Each barrel has a number of standard characteristics, such as damage, ergonomics, accuracy, reload time, rate of fire and magazine size, and sometimes several additional ones: increased critical damage, melee damage, sight magnification and something else.In addition, weapons, like any other item, have a rarity. The rarer the gun is, the better, as a rule, its basic and additional characteristics. At the moment, the game has five grades of rarity: regular barrels (white), uncommon (green), rare (blue), epic (purple) and legendary (orange) guns.

Sometimes a weapon can have a special additional ability. These cannons are unique, and, as a rule, they are given either according to the plot or as a quest reward. For example, the game has a rocket launcher that shoots burgers, as well as a submachine gun that shoots the enemy with waves of bullets of different elements. If you find a gun with a strange characteristic written in red, grab it without hesitation.

You can display the found guns in your cabin aboard Vault 3

By the way, about the elements. There are five of them in the game – fire, radiation, electricity, ice and corrosion. The fire predictably ignites the victim and deals a lot of damage to the flesh (red health bar). Radiation infects enemies and inflicts periodic damage to everyone who is near them. Electricity is the best element against shields (blue bar). With the help of ice, you can freeze the enemy, significantly reducing its movement speed, or even turn it into an icicle. Finally, corrosion is especially good against armor (yellow stripe) and corrodes your opponents as well.

Bosses can briefly turn on invulnerability to any damage. In this case, do not waste your ammo, just wait for the effect to end

In addition, weapons always have a manufacturer. There are nine main ones: “Dahl”, “Hyperion”, “Vladov”, “Jacobs”, “Malivan”, “Torrg”, “Children of the Storehouse”, “Tedior” and “Atlas”.Each has its own characteristics, which we will talk about in more detail.

“Dal”

Dal’s products resemble quite real military weapons. These are mainly pistols, submachine guns, assault and sniper rifles. Their main feature is the switching of the firing mode: automatic, single and burst. For specific models, you can change the magnification of the sight, so that your assault rifle can easily convert into a semi-automatic sniper. In addition, Dal barrels are distinguished by high accuracy and low recoil.

This SMG from “Dahl” is not very remarkable, but it has a special characteristic “Anointed One”, which gives significant buffs to your character when using active skills. A weapon with such a counter can be bought in the Crazy Earl’s shop for

eridium

“Hyperion”

The weapon from “Hyperion” differs not only by its futuristic design, but also by its practicality – the ammunition counter is right on the store. The main development of the corporation is a drop-down shield that will absorb damage while you are aiming. Bullets ricochet from him towards the enemy, but do not forget that every defense has its own margin of safety.

The Woodblock sniper rifle fires not one bullet at a time, but four bullets at once, causing corrosive damage to enemy armor

“Vladov”

If you feel that you want more shops, and the rate of fire is higher, by all means turn to the communist arsenal “Vladov”.It features pistols, submachine guns, grenade launchers that look like anti-tank guns, Kalashnikov-designed assault rifles with minigun barrels, as well as sniper rifles. But “Vladov” decided to step forward and attached an underbarrel module to each cannon. It can be a mini-shotgun, a second minigun, a mortar, a bipod, or a small rocket that does colossal damage. I advise you to regularly use the module to finish off the enemy or if you run out of ammo in the main magazine.

“Jericho” from “Vladov” is suitable for those who want to destroy the enemy with carpet bombing

Jacobs

The Jacobs family produces weapons with the highest kinetic damage in the game and, in my opinion, the coolest style – for the Wild West.In the arsenal you will find revolvers, pump-action and double-barreled shotguns, carbines and snipers with a huge amount of damage. True, not every cannon from Jacobs can boast of fast reloading: in some barrels you have to insert cartridges one at a time, which takes a lot of time. But this disadvantage is compensated by the unique ability of ammunition to ricochet. If you critically hit, the Jacobs bullets bounce directly to the head of the nearest enemy. So aim better!

The Puzzle, a joint development of the Jacobs family and Torrga’s company, fires explosive bullets and inflicts colossal damage

Malivan

If you want to defeat the enemy with elemental damage, I advise you to take a closer look at the “Malivan”.This corporation specializes in submachine guns, assault rifles, snipers, conventional pistols and shotguns loaded with at least two elements that you can switch between. Opponents with shields against you? No question – we turn on the mode with electric ammunition. Need to pierce the enemy’s armor? The corrosion regime will come to the rescue. Always keep a good Maliwan cannon in reserve – who knows what types you will find on the high road!

The Moralist pistol fires three elemental projectiles each. And also Tyrene Calypso’s phrases can be heard from it. Actually, she gave it to me and gave it

“Torrg”

Explosions! More explosions! This is the philosophy that Mr. Torrg adheres to, and it is this philosophy that he embodies in the products of his company. Its barrels are sharpened for explosive shells of all possible variations. Here pistols shoot rockets, machine guns also rockets, shotguns are not shotguns at all, but small grenade launchers. Well, from Torrgovskih RPGs, your opponents will even fly away into space. With such a weapon, you don’t even need to aim, it is enough to shoot at the enemy’s feet; when fighting shield-bearers, this tactic is especially effective. If you need a little precision, switch the barrel to firing with Velcro – they will stick to your enemy and explode when reloading.

This Torrg-winged bandura, called the Quarter, fires huge nuclear projectiles that split into four smaller nuclear projectiles in flight. Excellent remedy against clusters of enemies

“Children of the Storehouse”

Probably the most comical weapon in the game comes from the cult of the Children of the Vault.Their creations simply do not have a reload function as such: you can shoot endlessly, only you have to constantly cool the barrel. Unfortunately, the game has no way to prevent overheating other than to wait until the cannon has cooled down. Therefore, be prepared for constant breakdowns, flames and parts falling off. The Vault Children armorers specialize in submachine guns, grenade launchers, submachine guns, and regular pistols.

“Agonizer-1500” can be obtained after defeating the huge robot “Agonizer-9000”.The main feature of this grenade launcher is that it shoots three huge

explosive saws

“Tediore”

Does reloading make you nervous? Or the same cooling, for example? Craftsmen from “Tediore” were able to bypass the need for both – having emptied the store of the Tedior cannon, just throw it away, and a new one with a full ammunition will appear in your hands. In addition, each weapon of this company is equipped with artificial intelligence, so after you throw it away, it will find a second life. Some barrels transform and run alongside, firing nearby enemies, others fly at opponents and explode, causing great damage. That’s really really – smart gadgets!

“Bu +” – an excellent energy submachine gun for its level, which can transform into a talking turret with legs

Atlas

The new owner of the Atlas company has carried out quite a few reforms, one of which directly affected the armament. From now on, the company’s arsenal consists of assault rifles, pistols and grenade launchers, and the main feature is homing ammunition. It is enough just to mark the enemy with a tracker, stand around the corner and start shooting, and the bullets will find the enemy themselves. An excellent strategy if you need to hide and heal, but you don’t want to leave the battle.

The Atlas World Pyro is one of the few that doesn’t have homing. But the missiles fired are divided into four parts and carry everyone and everything in front of them!

The

Borderlands 3 Loot Generator does a great job and produces tons of unique weapons.I’m sure you can find exactly the gun that suits your playstyle perfectly. Be sure to tell us in the comments which crazy barrel you liked the most!

Moskovsky railway station

ABOUT STATION

The design of the passenger station in St. Petersburg was started in 1843.

From here in the middle of the nineteenth century stretched to Moscow the first in Russia, the largest at that time in Europe, double-track main St. Petersburg-Moscow railway.

In 1844, the projects of the stations of the architect K.A. Tones for both St. Petersburg and Moscow.

On November 1, 1851, the official opening of the St. Petersburg-Moscow road and the beginning of regular passenger traffic took place.

On the day of the departure of the first train on November 1 (13), 1851, the Nikolaevsky railway station opened its doors. The building consisted of a main building with an early Renaissance façade and a two-tiered quadrangular clock tower with a flagpole. In this appearance, the facade has survived to our time. On both sides, the building is still adjoined by three-storey annexes, in which station employees once lived.

In 1869 – 1879 the first reconstruction of the station was carried out. A separate two-story special building for luggage, a class 1 and 2 buffet appeared in the arrival courtyard, and on the arrival side of the trains – a three-story wing with a passenger lounge, an arch for the passage of arriving passengers into the courtyard and office premises of the station.

In 1914, the building of the cash hall number 2 was built. The author of the new project was the architect of the Institute “Lengiprotrans” VI Kuznetsov.

By the 100th anniversary of the Oktyabrskaya railway, a marble lobby appeared, adjoined by the same high ceremonial hall, two stories high, with huge bronze chandeliers.

In 1961, a building was added to the station building along Ligovsky Prospect – the second pavilion of the Ploschad Vosstaniya metro station.

In 1967 a new light hall was built according to the project of the Lengiprotrans Institute.

In 1977, a monument to V.I. Lenin, based on the model of the sculptor L.A. Mass.

In 1975, suspended roofs were installed over platforms 4 and 5.

In 1993, a bust of V.I. Lenin was replaced by a monument to Peter I.

In 1996, a new ticket office was opened, built according to the project of the Finnish company “Klausen LTD”.

In 2003, the ASKOPP system was introduced at the station, the trade and catering system for passengers was reconstructed, awnings were installed over platforms 6 and 7.

In 2016-2018 the modernization of the station was carried out as part of the FIFA World Cup.

First of all, work was carried out at the station to improve the level of transport security. Internal and external video surveillance systems have been improved, and passenger traffic within the complex has been redirected.

In total, the station has 5 security checkpoints with 20 X-ray television installations, of which 9 are located in the inspection pavilions for high-speed trains. The capacity of the entrance groups at the central entrance is about 3000 people per hour, at other posts – more than 1000 people per hour. Also, 162 surveillance cameras were installed in the station building and on passenger platforms; after the completion of the second stage of modernization, the total number of cameras will be increased to 250.

According to archival materials, the facade of the station building was restored, the roof was repaired and the lining of the landing stage above the platform near platforms No. 4 and No. 5 was replaced.

The work on the modernization of the engineering systems of the station was completed, including the replacement of the lighting system of the distant and suburban courtyards, the architectural and artistic illumination of the central facade of the station building, the restoration of the water supply and sewerage systems.

The territories of the suburban and distant courtyards were improved, including the replacement of paving stones and the installation of ramps. Also, the modernization of the passenger platform No. 4 was carried out.
