Spotlight job logs
The steps of Spotlight jobs are recorded in logs. Use these
logs to debug any issues.
Users with the pa_spotlight or admin roles can read and delete Spotlight job logs.
The logs are listed at the following locations:
- At Spotlight > Spotlight Logs.
- As the Spotlight Job Logs related list on the relevant Spotlight Group record.
The same Spotlight Job Logs list opens in both places, but in the Spotlight Group form, the
list is filtered by that Spotlight group.
To debug a Spotlight job, open the job log from the list and examine the job log row fields.
Example: Debugging Spotlight jobs
Consider the Incident Spotlight group, which evaluates real-time data from the Incident
[incident] table. This table is the table that the indicator source of the Number of open
incidents indicator uses. A Spotlight job runs on this Spotlight group every day at 15:00 hours.
The Spotlight jobs for this group generate the following list of Spotlight job logs, where the
most recent job completed with errors:
Clicking the timestamp of the 04:02:03 job shows a successful job with only informational
Returning to the list and opening the log for the job that had errors, you see that the
Spotlight criterion Incident more than 30 days old is invalid.
Navigating to the Spotlight criteria, you see that Incident more than 30 days
old is an indicator-based criterion that uses the Age breakdown.
Viewing the Age breakdown shows that it uses a script in a breakdown mapping.
As shown at the top, the Incident Spotlight group evaluates real-time data.
Therefore, the group cannot support criteria that use scripted breakdowns. For the job to run
without errors, replace this criterion with a criterion that uses a query instead of an
indicator and a breakdown. For example, create a criterion that queries the Incident [incident]
table with the following conditions:
- [[Opened][relative][on or before][Days][ago]]
- [[Opened][relative][on or after][Days][ago]]

NFPA to host Spotlight on Public Education (SOPE) conference, a full-day program addressing today’s fire and life safety education challenges and opportunities
August 5, 2021 – On Tuesday, September 14, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is hosting its fifth annual Spotlight on Public Education (SOPE),a one-day program addressing some of the leading challenges and opportunities facing today’s fire departments and public safety educators working to mitigate fire and life safety risks in their communities. This year’s SOPE is part of the association’s virtual 125th Anniversary Conference Series, which replaces the traditional in-person 2021 NFPA Conference & Expo and runs from May 2021 through March 2022.
Representing the fourth monthly program in the year-long conference series, SOPE will focus on a wide range of issues and topics, including the critical importance of inclusiveness among multiple populations, demographics, and age groups; tips and tricks for implementing successful fire and life safety programs in today’s virtual and hybrid environments; and the reasoning behind this year’s Fire Prevention Week™ theme. A total of nine in-depth educational sessions will be hosted throughout the day, along with industry roundtable discussions, networking opportunities, live chat sessions, sponsor demonstrations, and more.
“SOPE presents a unique opportunity for attendees to hear new insights and approaches to the work they do in their communities, and to connect and learn from peers who have faced and overcome similar issues and obstacles,” said Andrea Vastis, senior director of the public education division at NFPA. “At the end of the day, we hope attendees walk away with new perspectives that empower them to more effectively deliver fire and life safety and injury prevention education to their communities.”
Attendees can tune in live to earn up to five credit hours (0.5 CEU) and earn an additional five credit hours on-demand for a total of 10 credit hours (1.0 CEU). Alternatively, the content can all be viewed on-demand for a total of 10 credit hours (1.0 CEU). All programs will be available on-demand for up to a year starting on September 14.

Tiny CSU campus growing fast
At a time when most of California’s public colleges and universities are cutting back to deal with sharp funding reductions, at least one small campus is rapidly expanding.
When classes begin later this month at the satellite branch of California State University San Marcos here, the student body will be twice as large as it was in the fall semester of 2010 and approximately four times the size of the inaugural class that entered in January 2009.
The numbers are small. There will be only a little more than 200 students on campus, which offers only upper division and graduate courses, on the first day of classes. But annual growth of 20 percent is projected over the next five years, with unspecified expansion anticipated well after that.
“We’ll be adding more degree programs, more certificate programs,” said Suzanne Lingold, CSUSM’s associate dean of extended learning, who oversees the campus. “Next fall we’ll be adding a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in business administration. And we are working with the city, the business community and the health care community to see what other programs they would like us to offer.”
CSUSM’s Temecula campus is the only university outpost between San Marcos, Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino.
“This is a very underserved population,” Lingold said.
The key to the exponential growth — besides demand — is that the Temecula program’s operations are fully self-supporting. With the California State University system facing a $650 million reduction in state funding for the 2011-12 fiscal year, its 23 campuses are reducing the number of classes offered and leaving faculty positions vacant.
“The only way the university could offer classes up here was through (the department of) Extended Learning on a self-supporting basis, totally funded with the students’ tuition,” said Lingold.
By way of example, the cost of a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at the Temecula campus is $24,162. The same course work at CSUSM would be $19,788.
“Unit-wise, it’s more expensive, sure,” said Sasha Scofield, 24, who moved from La Mesa to Temecula after getting accepted by the campus.
“But, No. 1, we’re promised we’ll have a bachelor’s degree in two years. They can’t promise you that in San Marcos,” said Scofield, who is getting a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. “Not having to crash classes, no waiting lists, that makes a big difference.”
CSUSM has offered some classes in Temecula on an irregular basis since 1999, but the degree granting program is less than three yeas old.
“About four or five years ago, our City Council really made higher education its top goal,” said Aaron Adams, Temecula’s assistant city manager. “We believe higher education is the foundation for economic development.
“Cal State San Marcos was out here teaching limited course offerings. We sat down with them to figure out how we could do more. We courted them, we recruited them.”
The city helped the university find space in an office park and paid for the needed improvements. CSUSM started out by offering one degree, an accelerated bachelor’s degree in nursing.
The Temecula program — in which all classes are taught by regular CSUSM faculty — currently offers graduate and undergraduate degrees in nursing and kinesiology, with the business degrees to come. And there are plans to offer training in viticulture, hospitality and biotech to serve some of the region’s major industries.
“To have a Cal State in the region is really big when you are recruiting businesses,” said Morris Myers, executive director of the region’s economic development organization.
Within 18 months, the program outgrew its initial space. With help again from the city government, the university struck a $1 per year lease with the Temecula Valley Unified School District to use an unneeded elementary school campus.
The city of Temecula gave CSUSM $3 million in redevelopment funds, with a much smaller sum contributed by nearby Murrieta, to build labs, wire “smart” classrooms and otherwise develop the campus into to a university quality facility. It opened a year ago.
“They will grow out of that campus, too, probably before the end of the lease,” said Adams. “And we will work with them again. But that will be a good problem.”
Australia’s dismal climate record comes under COP26 spotlight
This picture taken on November 4, 2021 shows steam rising from cooling towers of the power generating plants in the town of Singleton, some 70km (43 miles) from Newcastle, the world’s largest coal exporting port.

Days before arriving in Glasgow, Scotland, for what was billed as a pivotal gathering on global climate initiatives, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced his country was adopting a target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
But he added that he would not legislate the goal and instead would rely on consumers and companies to drive reductions in emissions.
It was the kind of half measure that climate activists worried would carry over to the COP26 summit, the recent United Nations climate talks in Glasgow. They said it did.
“Australia’s ambition for COP26 was to get away with it. To do as little as possible,” said Richie Merzian, who previously spent a decade as an Australian government COP negotiator and now works as the climate and energy program director at The Australia Institute, an independent public policy think tank.
Fondly known as the sunburned country due to its vast stretches of dry and barren terrain, Australia has long been under fire as one of the world’s top producers of coal and gas, and narrowly dodged being labeled the summit’s villain.
While the country remains a key U.S. ally amid tensions with China, it has done little in recent years to suggest it will be a leading partner in the fight against climate catastrophe, despite its pride in its abundant native wildlife and numerous environmental treasures. Its actions at the climate conference did little to assuage environmentalists’ concerns.
Critics say Australia’s net zero announcement was a hollow promise and that the country’s attendance at the global summit only showed that the current conservative government is more wedded to fossil fuel interests than tackling climate change in any substantive way.
“They wanted to neutralize the critique that they aren’t doing anything on climate” by showing up but did little beyond that, Merzian said in a phone interview from Glasgow during the closing days of the summit.
David Ritter, CEO of Greenpeace Australia Pacific, was also scathing in his criticism of how Australia fared at the climate summit.
“The position the Morrison government took to Glasgow was an embarrassment, deeply inadequate, and wildly insufficient as the climate crisis accelerates in front of our eyes,” he said in an email from Sydney after the summit.
Read more about clean energy from CNBC Pro
NBC News reached out to Morrison’s office for comment and was referred to public comments by Angus Taylor, the minister for industry, energy and emissions reduction.
“Under our Plan to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, we will act in a practical, responsible way to reduce emissions and build on our track record of achievement — reducing emissions while growing our economy, maintaining affordable, reliable energy and ensuring our regions remain strong. That’s the Australian way,” Taylor said in a joint statement with Marise Payne, the minister for foreign affairs, after the climate summit.
Caught between the powerful fossil fuel industry and a cascade of natural disasters, climate change has found its way to the heart of Australian politics.
Mining has been a major driving force in Australia’s economy since it was a British colony in the early 1800s, but coal production truly expanded after World War II and the industry is still a major employer in many rural communities.
The country is one of the world’s largest emitters of greenhouse gases on a per capita basis and ranks as the world’s third largest fossil fuel exporter, behind only Russia and Saudi Arabia.
In Glasgow, Australia came under criticism for not signing onto agreements such as the so-called Global Coal to Clean Power Transition Statement promoted by the United Kingdom or the global methane Pledge led by the United States in an effort to curb methane emissions.
Coal power then became a major point of contention in the closing hours of the conference, when delegates from China and India insisted on watering down the final language of the COP26 deal and replacing a commitment to “phase out” coal with the term “phase down.”
And despite British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s assertion that Glasgow had effectively sounded “the death knell for coal power,” Morrison reiterated his country’s commitment in the wake of the summit, saying the coal industry will be working in Australia for “decades to come.”
Australia’s lack of action on the issue sets a bad example for other countries, Merzian said, “instead of driving ambition like the U.S. and the U.K.”
“They are giving cover to other laggards like Russia and Turkey because they can look at Australia and say, ‘Look, if a wealthy industrialized country like Australia isn’t doing more in the short term, why should I?'” he said.
Morrison has long been caught in a political bind over climate change.
His government’s coalition partner, the National Party, is a strong supporter of the coal industry and made multiple attempts to block the net zero target, citing potential risks to the country’s economy.
Morrison is a well-known proponent of the industry himself. He famously brought a lump of coal into the Australian Parliament in 2017 and, with a showman’s flair, praised its value during a debate on renewable energy.
“Sadly, historically, Australia’s climate policy, to some extent, has been dictated by the position of incumbent interests in the oil, gas and coal industry” and that is why it has lagged behind it’s global peers, Christian Downie, an associate professor at the Australian National University who specializes in energy and climate politics, said ahead of the conference.
At the same time, the country has felt the impact of climate change and that has helped increase pressure from some voters for more decisive action.
Sixty percent of respondents said “global warming is a serious and pressing problem” that should be addressed now “even if it involves significant costs,” according to a May 2021 poll by the Lowy Institute, an independent think tank in Australia.

“The country’s lack of domestic ambition and action has made its way to the international stage,” the Climate Change Performance Index report said. “Australia has fallen behind its allies.”
A spokesperson for Taylor, the minister for energy and emissions reduction, said that the Australian government “rejects” the report’s “subjective” findings “because it clearly ignores key facts and statistics.”
Environmental activists have reacted angrily to the lack of action in Glasgow.
Two young climate protesters disrupted operations at the world’s largest coal port in Newcastle, Australia, on Nov. 17 by abseiling off the huge machinery and declaring in a video livestream: “This is us responding to the climate crisis.”
To Ritter, from Greenpeace Australia, it’s past time for the country to step up on the world stage.
“Australia’s reckless climate obstruction is as brazen as it is appalling,” he said. “A betrayal of our trust and a betrayal of our future.”
Advantages of LED floodlights – Volga News
A device that is capable of emitting concentrated artificial light to a specific area is called a floodlight. Currently, there is a great variety of these devices, which differ in technical and operational characteristics and features. However, LED floodlights are gaining more and more popularity every year. They are widely used in all spheres of everyday life and production.
Description and features
LED floodlights have many advantages. They consume a fairly small amount of electricity. Of course, this type of product will spend energy in any case in order to provide bright light and visibility. However, this figure will be much lower than that of other types of floodlights. Thus, compared to halogen and metal halide products, with the same power, they shine many times brighter. In addition, the lifespan of LED lamps reaches approximately 30,000-50,000 hours. If you want to order an LED floodlight at an attractive price, then you can do it here http://swetotehnika.ru/catalog/prozhektory-svetodiodnye-osram/. In the company “Svetotekhnika” you will also find motion sensors, lighting, accessories for lamps, meters, transformers, etc.
This type of product is shockproof. The LEDs are protected by dense glass that is almost impossible to break. It is for this reason that they can be installed outdoors or in the garden. They can function in any position, at any temperature (both cold and cold). LED floodlights have a wide range of colors. Both comfort and the correct color rendering of surrounding things depend on this. These products can solve any issue related to the characteristics of light perception. They are capable of emitting light of any color – from warm red to cold blue.
Plus, the LEDs do not heat up. Therefore, you can safely leave them turned on for a long time next to any objects, while not fearing that they will overheat or tan.The main advantage of LED floodlights is that they create a directed beam of light, rather than being scattered over a large area.
90,000 Laughed the First Channel was closed by “ProjectorParisHilton”: Internet and media: Lenta.ru
On September 27 it became known that one of the most popular programs of the First Channel – “ProjectorParisHilton” – ceases to exist. For a very banal reason: the TNT channel refused to share with the First such valuable employees as Garik Martirosyan and Sergey Svetlakov. And even the personal intervention of the seemingly almighty Konstantin Ernst did not save the situation. “There are no replacements for The Beatles. The” Spotlight “is dear to us the way we did it, and you have watched it since May 2008,” Ernst said on the occasion of the closure of the program.
The first issue of the future cult show, whose title in such a strange way parodied “Perestroika Searchlight”, was released on Saturday, May 17, 2008. There were three hosts in the first episode – Garik Martirosyan, Sergey Svetlakov and Ivan Urgant.Alexander Tsekalo was absent. The presenters constantly interrupted each other, lost the thread of reasoning, and sometimes even awkwardly fell silent. However, after the first release, it became clear: this is a success. Despite all the flaws, the show came out really funny.
This, however, was not surprising. Channel One acted for sure. The hosts were real experts in their field, the dream team, the best that at that time (yes, let’s be honest, and now) Russian humor could offer.
For example, the former “Ural dumpling” Sergei Svetlakov was already well known throughout the country for the project “Our Russia”. There he demonstrated the talent of a comedian with a noticeable bias towards a simple and understandable humor to every worker of the Uralvagonzavod. Gay milling machine Ivan Dulin from Chelyabinsk, deputy Pronin from Nefteskvazhinsk, Sergei Belyakov from Taganrog – this is not a complete list of archetypes from the castle that he revived.
Garik Martirosyan was not only one of the founders of the Comedy Club, co-producer of “Our Russia”, but also established himself as a TV presenter with an excellent sense of humor.A year before “Projectorperishilton” he hosted “Minute of Glory” – a program in which ordinary Russians competed in all sorts of skills and talents for a cash prize. In a sense, humor for him was a condition for survival in the Kafkaesque abyss of Russian amateur performances.
Ivan Urgant was also the host of the First One (he got there through “Russia” from MTV) with experience – on his account was the transformation of the initially culinary “Delight” into an improvisational and humorous show with cooking elements. Well, and, in fact, Alexander Tsekalo, who hosted all the programs on the same First Channel and joked funny even when all of the above did not even think about a TV career.
The creators’ belief in the success of the new show was so strong that the program was launched essentially without a clear concept and structure. At first, for example, guests did not come to the program, and the monologues of the presenters were broken up with humorous sketches (sometimes, by the way, not bad ones). The same was true for the musical numbers – they were also randomly located in the body of the program. And this despite the fact that from the very beginning of the show, they allocated almost primetime time (usually this name hides a time interval from 19 to 22 hours, although, in an amicable way, the First primetime always has).
Over time, there was almost no confusion in the structure of the show. The sketches disappeared, guests appeared. The presenters worked together, sorted out the roles and turned into a single mechanism for producing jokes. Ivan Urgant became the leader and breeder in the show – he controlled the course of the discussion, at times did not hesitate to interrupt his colleagues (which, of course, made them very nervous). His strong point was clever jokes, for the understanding of which the viewer sometimes even had to make some intellectual efforts. Well, and at every opportunity, Ivan emphasized two facts: that he was a Jew and that St. Petersburg was his hometown.
Sergei Svetlakov has become a master of absurd humor, capable of creating insane madness from a completely trivial fact – small bottles of vodka for peasants with small mouths, and so on and so forth.
Garik also tried to joke intelligently, however, against the background of Urgant, he was assigned the role of a representative of the Caucasian peoples (taxi, unshaven, the song “Black Eyes”), as well as a specialist in all kinds of languages.
B about Most of them, of course, Martirosyan did not know, but very skillfully and appropriately imitated their sound purely phonetically.
Tsekalo was just there. Sometimes he read the news, occasionally joked, but mostly he acted as an object for jokes about the fact that he was from Ukraine, was married to Lolita and was already old in general. The latter, by the way, was even used excessively often.
The guests were the main find in the final format. Their roles were usually played by famous showbiz stars, athletes, musicians and other celebrities. It is noteworthy that the show almost did not call the elderly luminaries of humor – several experiments showed that it is difficult for elderly people to keep up with the four leading, and they often perceive jokes quite painfully.
The strongest part of the transmission was the foreigners. Living Denny de Vito is not Valdis Pelsh! If you choose the two best guests, then they, of course, should be recognized as Mickey Rourke and Hugh Jackman.
The arrival of Rourke, frankly speaking, rather laconic, was remembered not so much by jokes as by drunk vodka, smoking almost on the air and a wonderful remark addressed to Rourke Urgant, “Don’t be a pussy!” The translator voiced this phrase as “Don’t be a girl”, although now that everyone has learned what Pussy Riot is in English, he would not have gotten away with such a translation.
As for the arrival of Hugh Jackman, this was one of the funniest episodes in the history of the program. If any of the programs is worth revising, so surely this one. Especially, of course, the almost complete absence of any pathos in Mr. Jackman is striking.
Over time, fame grew, and the behind-the-scenes affairs of “ProjectorParisHilton” began to attract close attention of the audience. The audience began to accuse the program of the fact that its jokes were special homework, and not improvisation at all. These discussions reached their climax in June 2011, when Sergey Dorenko was visiting the program. After going to the show, he stole the show’s script and exposed her “deceit”. The broadcast, however, was never announced as purely improvisational, which, of course, did not prevent Dorenko’s exposure.
Another remarkable story is the numerous clones of “Searchlight”. The audience liked the format so much that the appearance of doubles was only a matter of time. The most entertaining, of course, was “Girls” on “Russia 1”.“Interesting” in this case does not mean good: four ladies were chosen as hosts, including, for example, Marina Golub. If anyone does not know, then this is a woman from an advertisement for toilet bowl laundering, which, by the way, corresponds to the level of her humorous talent. The content of each program boiled down to the fact that all men are goats, but nothing can be done about it.
Another, slightly more successful craft was the transfer of “Song of the Day” on STS with Alexander Pushny, Tatiana Lazareva and Mikhail Shats. They sat, discussed the news, and then sang a song composed of snippets of this very news. However, the program deserves mention also because it was mysteriously closed – after the break, they simply decided not to return it to the net. There are still rumors that the “Song of the Day” was closed for censorship reasons. Especially these rumors intensified after the dismissal of Tatyana Lazareva from STS. There were also several foreign clones, for example, in Ukraine, which, however, can not be remembered – their quality was below any reasonable limits.
Over time, of course, the original “ProjectorParisHilton” began to deteriorate. The jokes either began to grow boring, or just got worse, but the last season was no longer interesting to watch. In addition, against the background of the political events of the last year, it suddenly became very noticeable how toothless the humor of the program was. While the country’s political life was in lethargy, the mere mention of politicians in a humorous context seemed to be something fresh and poignant. When the angry citizens woke up, jokes of this level stopped hitting the target. This was especially noticeable, for example, in the episodes with Mikhail Prokhorov or in the election program.
On September 27, it became known that SpotlightParisHilton was closing. In fact, rumors about this appeared back in June 2012, right after the release of the last episode of the 2011-2012 season. However, until the last minute, there was still hope that it would be possible to come to an agreement with TNT. Failed. In the new seasons, the channel demanded from Comedy Club Production – by the way, which produces almost all of the channel’s content, including Dom-2 for some time now – the exclusive participation of Svetlakov and Martirosyan in TNT programs. The negotiations are said to have been decisively influenced by tough contract terms and good money.
It’s not fashionable now to admit that you watch TV, but to be honest, there was an exception to this rule for ProjectorParisHilton. It was always possible to watch it, and many in general seriously called this program the only decent one on today’s Russian TV. So it’s very sad that it was closed. And the only thing that can be said about this (besides “Put the Spotlight back!”): It was cool.

As the correspondent of Znak.com reports, later at a press conference he asked the media not to inflate this fact.According to him, the strong wind is to blame for everything. “As all the old-timers say, no one even remembers such gusts – more than 25 meters per second – in this region,” he said. According to Valery Radchenko, the organizers could not do anything in this situation.
But the journalists were interested in the details of what happened, namely, how a structure of this kind could have fallen in a place of mass gathering of people. Note that the organizers were lucky – the tower fell on the shooting range, where there is usually no one. But other similar masts are located in more crowded areas of the stadium.
“The same structures are in the place where there were a lot of people, fans. Again, if the broken structure fell in the other direction, it would have hit the track. During the fall, as far as I know, there were athletes in that place, they trained, ”one of the correspondents began to ask her question. Radchenko interrupted her: “This is no grandiose structure, this is the smallest mast in the stadium. She has only 4 searchlights, the big one is on the right, this grandiose one … ”, – he said. But the journalist reminded him that this large mast was also very shaky, and there were many fans next to it. “And in general, how so – the mast falls only from the wind, this is not an earthquake?” – asked the journalist.
Radchenko replied: “I would not really like to raise this issue, but this is not such a big tragedy as it happened yesterday in Rostov. Something falls, something happens … This is force majeure, this is a hurricane. ” He also added that the decision to postpone the races was made a few hours before the mast fell, no one was on the track, except for a few judges who were at the shooting range.
It is worth noting that they began to evacuate people from the stadium only an hour after the mast fell. All this time, despite the strong gusty wind, people walked around the sports complex in anticipation of the postponed race. At the moment when the mast fell – it happened at 14 hours 8 minutes – many spectators stood in the stands and filmed what was happening, assessing whether the neighboring structure would fall, as it was also shaking well at that time.
People were evacuated closer to three hours, that is, two hours after the decision was made to postpone the women’s mass start to 18 hours, although Radchenko insists that the organizers were very concerned about the safety of the fans and urgently evacuated people.
“In my opinion, this (evacuation – ed.) Was done promptly, competently and professionally,” he tried to convince the press. For what wind the mast is designed, who installed this and other similar structures of the stadium, Radchenko could not answer. “Do you think I can give an answer to this question? Edited, probably, Ivan Ivanov, but certainly not Valery Radchenko. I don’t know who edited it, ”he said.
One of the journalists noted that yesterday evening on the website gismeteo there was information about a strong wind of 16 meters per second. To which Radchenko said that the organizers have their own contracts with the relevant services. “In the morning there was information about a wind of 7-8 meters per second with gusts up to 10 meters per second. Therefore, we hoped until the last moment that the wind would subside. There is no need to look for dirty tricks, this is force majeure, ”he said.
Let us remind you that today in Khanty-Mansiysk the final races in the framework of the final stage of the Biathlon World Cup were to take place. It was planned that during the day the mass start would be run by women, and in the evening – by men.But because of the strong wind, the competition for women was initially postponed for four hours, and after one of the light masts fell on the stadium’s shooting range, it was canceled altogether. The closing ceremony of the Biathlon World Cup was also moved from the stadium to the Olimpiyskaya Hotel. It will take place at 21 o’clock.

90,000 “World-class spectacle”: more than a thousand people took part in the opening ceremony of the Folkloriada | State TV and Radio Company “Bashkortostan” – News from Ufa and Bashkiria
If Bashkortostan collectives opened the Folkloriada, then foreign delegations will close it.This was stated by Aydar Zubaidullin, director and chief director of the opening and closing ceremony of the World Folkloriada, coordinator of the Heart of Folkloriad festival, at a press briefing.
The grandiose opening ceremony of the folklore festival delighted the audience and TV viewers. Aydar Zubaidullin told about the preparation for this action.
– A huge team worked with me – the directorate of cultural programs of the Republic of Belarus and a huge detachment of high specialists – composers, choreographers, co-directors, artists, videographers.About 1000 people attended the opening ceremony. Everyone probably noticed the original design and powerful technical support. This is about 500 smart devices, 12 video projectors, 800 sq.m. LED screens, – noted Zubaidullin.
According to the chief director, rehearsals of the opening ceremony began at other venues, commensurate with the Ufa-Arena, in early May.
– We entered the very site of the Ufa Arena on June 14. Speaking about the difficulties, I can say that it was not easy to hold such an event. This is working with video content – it took 4-5 hours to put the light on one number. Because you have to tune every lighting fixture, laser video projectors, spotlight. This is work with a huge number of people. This is a huge amount of choreography. Then you noticed that there were works at heights. This is a bird, and the sun, and trapeze artists.
Security issues played a huge role here. There were a lot of questions that had to be brought together in order to get such a result, which turned out to be, – the speaker emphasized.
Aydar Hizbullovich noted that the closing ceremony will be no less interesting.
– The opening and closing format will be radically different. The main participants in the closing ceremony will be exactly those people who came to visit – the participants of the folklore. The concentration of cultures that we observe will be of interest to the audience. Each of the collectives brought a piece of their soul, the soul of their people. And it was so read in their eyes, how much they like and interesting to communicate with each other.
And this friendship, the feeling of interpenetration, friendship that is being formed today within the framework of the Folkloriada, and perhaps in the future, I would like to show at the closing ceremony. And I don’t want to reveal the intrigue yet.
Briefing participants shared their impressions of the opening ceremony of the World Folkloriad. According to the director of the State Russian House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenova Tamara Purtovoy, she shared moments of the opening ceremony with her family.According to her, she had no doubts that Bashkortostan would cope with any assigned task.
– Bashkortostan has been among the leaders and remains. The opening ceremony showed us that this is not just the level of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation, it is a world-class spectacle. Everything that is happening these days in Bashkortostan is not just popularization. This is a serious research and methodological work. The Folkloriada took its first steps, showed its scale, and now our task is for all this to continue successfully for the benefit of the mutual influence of cultures, – said Tamara Valentinovna.
CIOFF President Phillip Bossan noted that all events are held at the highest level and the Folkloriada became the first major international event in the world after the coronavirus pandemic.
– This is already my sixth visit to Ufa. Most of all here I like friendship, this is above all, this is our main goal in building communications – building peaceful relations with people. Here we were able to build an able-bodied and hardworking team. And the greatest wealth is the wonderful people living in Bashkortostan, – said Mr. Bossan.
Folkloriada events are held not only in Bashkortostan, but also in 22 zones of the republic. Artur Alibakov, Executive Director of the Directorate for the Preparation and Holding of the VI World Folkloriad, noted that a lot of preparatory work had been done, all security measures had been taken.
As a reminder, the World Folkloriad will be held in Bashkortostan until July 10.

10 Smart Ways to Use Sensors Samsung SmartThings
is Samsung’s smart home platform that lets you customize sensors and other devices to automate certain tasks and keep your home safe. Here are some clever uses for these sensors that you might not have thought of.
How to set up SmartThings home monitoring kit
SmartThings offers several different sensors, but the most popular are open / close sensors.
…They all have obvious uses, but you’re probably not taking full advantage of them, and with a little creativity you can do some pretty interesting things with them.
Automatic activation of cabinet lighting
If you have a closet that has a light that you turn on with a switch, you’re probably tinkering around to find it, especially if it’s one of those drawstring lights where you can never find a drawstring. However, using a motion sensor or an open / close sensor makes things a little easier.
Unfortunately, you’ll need some kind of smart bulb, so if you haven’t invested in Philips Hue or another smart bulb brand yet, this one might not be worth the extra cost, but you can get the Philips Hue starter kit.
for only 79 dollars
and add to it for just $ 15 a light bulb.
Automatic activation of attic lighting
It’s like a closet lighting puzzle, but attic lighting is much more persistent and annoying than closet lighting, depending on which attic you have.If you have a climbing ladder to an attic with stretch lights, you know how annoying it is to try to find light in a dark, hot room that no one likes to be in.
However, you can place an open / close sensor on a retractable loft staircase that can activate a smart light bulb that turns on automatically, or you can even use a motion sensor.
Get notified when an email arrives
Call me crazy, but I love getting mail and I always want to know when it comes in.However, our mail usually does not arrive every day at a certain time, so we never know when it will come, but using the SmartThings sensor inside the mailbox, we can receive notifications when the postman arrives.
If you have a traditional letterbox on the side of the road (or a small letterbox in an apartment building like in the image), you can place an open / close sensor inside it by attaching a smaller magnet to the door. If you live in a city where mailboxes are near your front door, your options are more limited, but you can squeeze a motion sensor into the bottom of the mailbox.
Of course, keep in mind that this won’t work in all situations, especially if you have a long driveway and your mailbox is right next to the road. At this point, the sensor will be too far from the hub.
Create a panic button to turn on all spotlights.
It requires smart bulbs, but it can be a great way to scare off burglars or just give yourself some light if you need to go outside at night.
Once you set up an open / close sensor to control all of your floodlights outside, you can place it anywhere inside your home so you can easily access it and then simply activate it when you need it, instantly turning all your flood lights on.
You can also set up the scene in the smartphone app, but using the open / close sensor is much faster and easier, which is ideal when you’re in a panic.
Protect your barn and other outdoor items
Obviously, install open / close sensors on doors and windows in your home, but many people forget about their barns or other open buildings. You can lock them up, but that still won’t stop the burglar.
You can place an open / close sensor on your barn door, or use a motion sensor, and whenever it is triggered, you can receive a notification. You can even
connect a third-party siren / alarm to SmartThings
to scare off burglars before they can look inside.
Get notified when your child gets home
If you want more peace of mind knowing that your child has returned home from school safe and sound, using an arrival sensor can do just that. Simply attach the sensor to their backpack or other item and you will be notified as soon as the sensor is close to the SmartThings hub.
The same can work if you want to know when your child came home last night and if it was before curfew. Attach the sensor to your car keys and SmartThings does the rest.
Get notified if your dog runs away
If your dog has a habit of bolting up whenever he sees an open door or realizes that there is a fence in his backyard, you can attach an arrival sensor to the collar and be notified when Bucky runs away. From there, you can call your neighbors or friend to help find him.
Protect your locker
Whether it’s a jewelry box or a special closet filled with your most treasured possessions, you don’t want anyone to have access to it unless they have permission to do so. You can put a padlock on it, but this can sometimes be tricky on some cabinets.
By using an open / close sensor or a motion sensor, you can track when something has been opened and even get an alert when it is opened. You can also do the same for cabinets that are closed to children, but it might be better to get
so that children do not open them in the first place.
Keep track of your beloved seniors
If you have a parent or grandparent who lives alone and distantly concerned about their well-being, you can track them with SmartThings sensors and know if they are up and where they need to be.
You can place motion sensors in their bedroom so you know they are awake, and you can even go so far as to place sensors in all rooms so that if they fall and cannot get up, you will know.
Get notified when your room temperature rises unexpectedly
What you may not know about SmartThings sensors: they also have thermometers and can measure the temperature in the room they are in.
It can alert you if the temperature drops abnormally or exceeds normal temperature, which could indicate a broken oven or air conditioner. Of course you can
do it with most smart thermostats
but if you don’t have them, that might be a great option too.
