8 Noteworthy Wedding Photographers in Singapore (2021 Edition)

8. Bottled Groove Photography

Raw emotions tastefully captured

Raw, authentic, and unscripted — these words popped into our minds as we immersed ourselves in Bottled Groove’s extensive, stunning portfolio. What makes weddings special is the wide array of emotions that we feel so deeply during the ceremony, sticking to us for decades. Bottled Groove’s work is like the embodiment of raw emotions, with every snapshot of memories bottling up all the laughter and tears, frozen in time but never less in authenticity.

With emotions running high and people having a blast at weddings, it can get loud and sometimes a bit messy, making it all more significant and real. The way Bottled Groove embraces this “mess” is what made them favoured by many, including us. With their touch of creativity, they can turn such a “mess” into something beautiful.

Beautifully highlights two people in love

The pillar of Bottled Groove is also a couple in love: Eugene and Erin. Being a married pair themselves, they know that the love that two people share is what should be highlighted in photographs, not the backdrop nor the location. No matter where your pre-wedding shoot location is — a busy street, a night market, your home, or a resort, Bottled Groove always delivers magnificent photos. What’s also great is that they let you choose between digital and film cameras (or both), so you can get your preferred aesthetic!

Our favourite thing about shooting with Bottled Groove is best described by their tagline, “Be yourself”. Throwing overused concepts and storylines out of the window, they instead ask each couple about themselves, what the pair loves to do, how they interact with each other, and how they express their feelings the best. They then turn this information into the core of the entire shoot, resulting in a relaxing time that each couple enjoys.

Just like you’re on a date, have fun and be yourself, and the lens will seamlessly follow and focus on the two of you. Be sure to take a look at their pre-wedding portfolio here. We absolutely love how many different stunning places they have covered with their pre-wedding shoots!

Comfortable engagement and pleasing results

From the first meeting up to handing in the final result, Bottled Groove tackles everything with finesse and friendliness. For us, the most important aspect of an engagement is how comfortable you are during the process, and they never disappoint! Just like what their clients said, if you’re looking for someone willing to take on unconventional wedding photoshoots and will guide you with a gentle hand, Bottled Groove Photography is the perfect choice for you.

Read all their clients’ in-depth reviews here and here for more information. Additionally, what we particularly love is their perspectives in their blog; do take a peek to find out something interesting about your photographers!

Wedding packages and rates:

  • Pre-wedding Package starts at $780
  • Actual Day Package starts at $280/hr

7. Chris Chang Photography

Exquisite captures of emotive moments, especially during sunrise and sunset

With a capable team of skilled photographers and videographers, we are pretty sure that every precious moment of your pre-wedding and wedding events will be beautifully captured by Chris Chang Photography. What we’re most impressed about is the range of their concepts, each photographer having their unique style that suits various wedding’s themes.

We especially love Chris’s exquisite, magical captures during sunrise and sunset, with his signature circular rainbow shots capturing the hearts of many. Be sure to check out their gorgeous actual day wedding photos, as well as their stunning local pre-wedding captures and overseas pre-wedding photos!

What’s even better is that they offer both photography and videography services, saving their clients time and cost compared to dealing with multiple vendors. Check out their videography portfolio for inspiration.

Reliable professionals who join in on the fun

Another wonderful aspect of working with Chris Chang Photography is their knack for fun and friendship. Furthermore, they try their best to capture even the most intimate moments as non-intrusive as possible by getting to know the people around the couple and how their love story came about first. 8. Wabisabi Pictures, for minimalist & inspiring photography

Born in Singapore, Haolun, the founder of Wabisabi Pictures, spent 3 years living in Japan and honing his craft of wedding photography. Inspired by the Japanese approach of minimalism and their outlook on embracing imperfection to find beauty in everything, he created Wabisabi. These concepts resonate deeply with him and allow him to photograph wedding couples in a different light.

What’s important isn’t the extravagant dress, or the fancy decor, or the grand venue. Rather, humbly put, it’s the little things that count, the imperfect bonds that we all share that is truly what we will cherish at the end.” – Haolun

His works have a penchant for portraying honest and raw emotions. Combined with a storytelling composition of street photography, he weaves these elements into creating emotional wedding photos. Haolun’s passion lies in capturing the spontaneous and imperfect moments of your wedding, believing that it is in these small moments that lies the true essence of life and romance, and are the moments that should be treasured the most. Bittersweet Photography comprises 3 photographers who couldn’t be more different and yet share the same philosophy for weddings. Jonathan, Samantha and Joseph have a soft spot for moments that make you laugh, cry and remember.

At the core of their work is their belief that, ‘bittersweet’ is the perfect summation of the myriad of emotions that happen on a wedding day – bittersweet is when a father entrusts his precious daughter to a stranger, knowing that he will be the new pillar of her life; bittersweet is when an ailing grandmother watches her grandson marry the girl of his dreams, and is brought back to memories of her own wedding day; bittersweet is when two persons come together and embrace their imperfections and past mistakes, and make a commitment to do life together. Whether in love or life, everything comes together in a bittersweet symphony. And it is the aim of this trio to capture these nuances that make every wedding different – and beautiful. What to ask a wedding photographer

Here is a detailed breakdown of all the questions you need to ask wedding photographers in Singapore before settling on the one you want:

Basic Information

  • How long have you been doing wedding photography in Singapore?
  • How many weddings have you shot?
  • Is my wedding date available for you?
  • How many weddings have you booked on the same day as my wedding date?
  • How many weeks/months in advance do I need to book you?
  • Have you ever done a photoshoot for a wedding that is similar to mine in size and style?

Determining their photography style

  • What is your photography style? How would you describe it?
  • Do you shoot weddings in digital, film, or other formats?
  • Do you specialize in indoor or outdoor events?
  • If the photographer’s style is mostly formal, will you still get candid, natural photos?
  • If the photographer’s style is mostly formal, will you still get formal, posed photos?
  • Can I see an updated portfolio with examples of full weddings?
  • Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?

Taking care of the logistics

  • Will you be the photographer shooting my wedding? If not, can I meet the photographer who will be shooting my wedding?
  • Do you work with assistants?
  • What type of equipment do you use? Do you have backup equipment?
  • If you are unable to shoot my wedding for some reason, is there a backup plan just in case?
  • Do you have other events you need to photograph on the same day as mine?
  • How will you be dressed on my wedding day?
  • Is it OK for other people to take photos while you are working?
  • Have you ever worked at my specific venue before? Do you plan to visit it in advance just to check it out?
  • What time will you arrive at the ceremony?
  • How long will you shoot once the ceremony starts?
  • Will you stay if my wedding takes longer than planned?
  • Is there an additional charge if you have to stay longer than planned?
  • Do you have liability insurance?

Pricing

  • How much deposit do you require?
  • When is the deposit due?
  • Do you offer payment plans?
  • What is your cancellation policy?
  • What is your refund policy?
  • Do you charge a travel fee? What does that cover?
  • Could you explain your packages to me?
  • Do you provide photo retouching and correction services?
  • How long after the wedding will I get the proofs?
  • How many final images will I receive?
  • How long after the wedding will I get the pictures?
  • What is the ordering process?

Other questions to ask

  • May I have a list of referees I could talk to?
  • Why should I pick you over other wedding photographers?
  • Once I hire you, when do I receive a written contract?
  • What do you need from me before the wedding date?

Questions to ask yourself

  • Do you like the photographer’s personality?
  • Does their work make you feel connected to the pictures?
  • Are you comfortable with their customer service style?
  • Were they a good listener? Did they address all your concerns?
  • Are they within your budget?
  • Are they receptive to your suggestions?

Tips on shortlisting a wedding photographer in Singapore

Wedding photos are one of the few things in your wedding that you won’t be able to see or sample first before getting it. Therefore, you have to be very careful about how you shortlist wedding photographers in Singapore to avoid disappointments.

Here are a few tips to help you ensure that you only shortlist the best talent for your wedding:

  • Settle on a style for your wedding photography in Singapore first. You have to do this even before you begin researching photographers. Deciding on the style you want will help you narrow down your list of photographers you’d like to work with.
  • Make a list of potential photographers and start doing your research on them. Look at their portfolios online and read their reviews from previous clients. Do not forget to check their Facebook, Instagram, and other social media accounts.
  • Call and set up face-to-face interviews. Let them know that you like their work and confirm that they are available on your wedding date. Be prepared to talk about the kind of style you were hoping to get. If possible, bring along a few of your favorite photos from your research so they can see what you are looking for.
  • Ask to see a few full wedding albums. When photogra[hers set up their online portfolios, they carefully select their best work, usually from different weddings. This won’t give you a full picture of what you can expect. Therefore, you want to ask to see at least two sample full wedding albums to understand better what the final product might look like.
  • When you look through their portfolio or album, do so with a critical eye. You want to look for moments that you want to be captured in your wedding. How well did they capture those moments? Did they capture the emotions of the guests as well? Also, look at the images’ quality, including their crispness, composition, lighting, etc.
  • Make sure that you like the photographer you choose to work with. Your personalities should match. They should be excited by your vision, just like you are. Are they respectful to you? How are they making suggestions? Do they have certain mannerisms that bother you? Your photographer will be shadowing you for a whole day. You need to be comfortable around them.
  • Compare different packages. Get quotes from other photographers that you like. What stands out in each of their packages? Compare them, then go for the one that is within your budget.
  • Find out what your rights to the photos are. Most wedding photographers in Singapore have contracts that stipulate that they own all the rights to the photos taken at your wedding. Some of them have a policy that you can only share watermarked images. Ensure that you understand what your rights are, and if you want something different, negotiate it before the day of the wedding.
  • Find out how long you’ll have to wait for post-production. It is not uncommon for you to have to wait up to 6 weeks after a wedding photoshoot in Singapore to get the finished pieces. If there is anything else you need to know before you get the finished work (rights, resolution, number of images, prints, and so on), your photographer will explain this at this stage.

What are Pre Wedding and Actual Day Wedding Photoshoots?

Pre-wedding photography has become all the rage in recent years. This kind of photoshoot happens months before the actual day. Unlike the traditional engagement photoshoot, couples wear their wedding outfits during the photo session. Specifically for destination pre-wedding shoots, couples can also select any location for a relaxed shoot, without all the hecticness that comes with the wedding.

Then, there is the actual day of the wedding. No matter the size of the event, a photographer will cover everything, from preparations to the ceremony to the reception. All of those special moments like reciting vows, cutting the cake, and first dance will be documented in beautiful pictures.

How much does professional wedding photography cost?

It depends on the studio and what package you select. Some professional services include touch-ups and editing, to guarantee your photos look picture perfect.

The average price range for wedding photo services varies. Some photographers can charge anywhere from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. Generally speaking, professional wedding photos are priced at around $1400 to $3000.

If you plan a destination photoshoot, you must factor in travel expenses into the overall budget. While this might seem expensive to some, you are paying for top-notch quality photos to memorialize the happiest day of your life. And the majority of brides and grooms that choose wedding photography do not regret having a skilled photographer cover their wedding day.

Align your vision with the photographer for the best results

A wedding photoshoot in Singapore is an extraordinary moment for you and your partner. You probably want everything to go as perfectly as you had planned.

Unfortunately, it is very rare for things to go perfectly without a single hitch all day. Therefore, you need to manage your expectations about the kind of pictures you are going to get from your wedding photographer.

Align your vision with your photographers by talking to them about exactly what you want (poses, angles, and so on) and how to achieve them. Here are a few tips to help you do that:

  • What are some poses and moments you’d like to be captured? How would you achieve this? A great place to start would be to share your wedding day’s itinerary with your photographer. If you want them to capture a few moments with the bridesmaids before the ceremony, you want to make sure that they are around for that. A large part of quality wedding photography in Singapore is about being prepared and anticipating what’s going to happen throughout the day, whether things go according to plan or not.
  • What quantities and quality should you expect from them? Wedding photographers in Singapore will have different wedding photography packages. Make sure you fully understand what you should expect from your session to avoid any problems down the road.
  • Style and approach expectations: every wedding photoshoot in Singapore has its own style that is heavily influenced by the photographer’s approach to the project. Have a detailed discussion with them about this before the shoot to avoid tensions and missed expectations.
  • What should they focus on in the photographs? Do you want more candid pictures of the day’s events or should there be a clear focus on you and your partner? How about the guests? Ask these questions and get your answers well before the shoot.
  • Are there any special requirements that they expect from you? You want to be on the same page with them and provide everything they need to do their job well.

Photography package – what all should be included.

Wedding photography in Singapore will usually come with packages that include some combination of the following:

Day’s photography coverage

The number of hours that the photographer will be on site will vary from studio to studio. However, the length of time that they spend with you will affect the price.

Second photographer

If there will be a second photographer on site, expect the costs to go up. You can assume that the second photographer will be there for the same amount of time as the main photographer.

Pre-wedding photoshoot session

Pre-weddings in Singapore often take place a few weeks or months before the wedding. It is usually a great opportunity for you to get to know more about your photographer and how they work, and for them to get to know you.

Digital photo versions

Some packages may include digital versions of the photos, which may or may not come in a USB stick. This will allow you to make your own prints or albums. The package will specify how many digital images you can expect per session.

Prints

While not a lot of wedding photographers in Singapore still include prints in their packages these days, some still do. The dimensions and number of prints will be specified in the package.

Online gallery

Your photographer may give you access to a password protected online gallery that you can use to share the photos with your family and friends.

Album

The package may also include a wedding album. Before you receive the final album, your photographer may also send you an inexpensive preview album that you can use to view the edited photographs before they go to the final album.

Large framed picture

This can either be framed or printed on canvas. The package should specify the size and when you can expect to get it.

A video slideshow with the best photos

Depending on your photographer, they may also create a short video with the best wedding photos for you to look at.

Wedding Photoshoot Logistics

How to make sure the day runs smoothly and peacefully on the day of the shoot? If you want your wedding photoshoot to run smoothly, here are a few things you can do:

  • Allocate a little extra time for everything. You do not want to run out of time for photos. Anticipate that things will take a little longer than you expect and add some 30 minutes to everything. This way, your wedding photographer gets to take their time finding that perfect shot.
  • Get dressed early. Being all dressed and ready to go will give you time to relax on your big day. Plus, it is also great for the photographer because they’ll get lots of time to play around with lighting and poses and backgrounds to create photos that you’ll love.
  • Plan to get a lot of pictures taken before the wedding. Not only will this take a lot of stress out of the equation, but when all the bridal portraits and bridal party pictures are done and dusted, you can focus fully on your big day. Getting most of the photos taken early is also a great way to do everything right by taking your time with them and ensuring you look your best even before the wedding.
  • Take your couple’s pictures before the wedding. This way, you won’t have to leave your guests hanging for an hour or so during the wedding to go get your couple’s photos taken.
  • Communicate your needs throughout. Your photographer will be by your side for the entire day. You want to make sure that they know exactly what you need at all times. Talk to them about your timeline, your expectations, and so on to avoid getting disappointed.
  • Talk to your parents, friends, and family about where to be and when to make the photographer’s job a little easier.
  • Have a designated person keep everyone on schedule and make sure everyone is ready for formal family photo sessions. This will prevent situations where a family member has wandered off and missed an important picture with everyone else.
  • Ask your guests to refrain from taking photographs during formal photo sessions simultaneously as your photographer, which can be rather frustrating sometimes. If everyone is posing for a family photo, have only one photographer taking the picture.
  • If you have some flexibility about planning the day’s activities, talk to your photographer about a good time of day for the ceremony and the reception time. This will allow them to recommend times with the best lighting.
  • If you are planning an outdoor wedding, have a backup plan in place in case it rains.

Conclusion

After you find your something borrowed and something blue, consider finding a photographer to shoot your wedding celebration. You won’t regret having wonderful wedding photos done by experienced professionals. By hiring any of the photographers mentioned on our list, you are guaranteed a wedding album full of romantic shots that will preserve the memory of your wedding day. Celebrate the next chapter of your extraordinary love story with wedding photography in Singapore.

FAQ

Why wedding photography is important?

Wedding photography is very important for your big day for several reasons for this. First, It is a great way to capture memories and to tell the story of one of the most special days of your life. With it, you get to relive that special day, and you get to share it with others, including your children and grandchildren. Second, It allows you to capture moments that would have otherwise been missed. You’ll want to look back at these little moments down the road. Third, You get personal images that you can display in your home. Finally, Investing in professional wedding photographers in Singapore will help you avoid those ugly, over-exposed pictures that family friends take for free. That’s not how you want to remember your wedding day.
.

Why is wedding photography so expensive?

Wedding photography is about telling the entire story of your wedding day. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes on the photographer’s side, which drives up the cost. First, the time spent on client meetings, pre-wedding, the wedding day, and post-editing adds up. Second, is the Gear. Most wedding photographers will have at least two cameras to work with. On top of this, they’ll also have multiple lenses. These can be very expensive, which also trickles down into the photography cost. The third is the talent. Depending on your photographer’s work quality, a lot of value can be placed on their talent. It’s taken them a long time to hone their skills to that level. You are paying for this experience and talent. Finally, there are business expenses such as Insurance, editing software, accounting software, online galleries, and so on also drive up the cost.
.

How many wedding photographers should I interview before finalizing ?

Most photographers recommend interviewing at least 3 different photographers before finalizing and signing a contract with one of them. Obviously, the more photographers you interview, the more work you’ll have to put in, but once you make that final decision, you can be sure that you will be getting the best fit for you. That said, interviewing more than three photographers can be a little overwhelming. With so much information coming in, you might start confusing who said what and whose style you liked best. Therefore, the sweet spot is a maximum of three wedding photographers in Singapore.

“Hired Justin two weeks back for my wedding proposal and he is an absolutely amazing photographer. He gave me lots of ideas for my proposal and directed my setup team when I can’t be around and the entire proposal plan was executed perfectly. He is very professional yet easy going, and will definitely help you out even when it’s not part of his job scope. He is an expert at everything he does and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. He didn’t charge me for the extra hour too. Thank you!!!”

    Perfect photographer for us

“I was looking for a wedding photographer. I saw a lot of the typical stuff – hundreds of posed shots, beautiful but stiff poses, etc. When I saw Justin’s pictures, I was blown away by his talent. He could tell us apart when we were standing close together. He knew exactly where to stand to get a shot that captured what I envisioned in my head but better. Plus, he just had a great personality. We truly feel like our wedding album is a work of art. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.”

    Unforgettable experience

“We believe a wedding is about capturing the emotions of that day; the good, bad and ugly moments which can only be done with the right mix of technical expertise and fun personality. It was a pleasure to watch Justin work. He was dependable, professional, and he delivered what he promised.”

90,000 50 photos by photographer and founder of Le Pixelfoto – Darrell Neo

    photographer: Darrell Neo

Darrell Neo is a commercial photographer based in Singapore. His main specialization is wedding photography, advertising and corporate photography, as well as product and animal photography. He has been in the image industry for more than eight years, during which time Darrell was able to collect a huge portfolio and create one of the most popular wedding-oriented photo agencies Le Pixelfoto, in Singapore.

Le Pixelfoto is a wedding and commercial photography company with a focus on creativity.

Darrell fell in love with photography when he first picked up National Geographic magazine. And already at 24, he began to take photography seriously, and after getting acquainted with pulsed external lighting, Darrell realized that a whole new world opened up in front of him. He is currently the Olympus Ambassador for Singapore and uses the Godox AD200 for his light, which Darrell considers to be an excellent flash light not only for professional photography, but also for a first start and introduction to flash.

    photographer: Darrell Neo

Thank you Darrell for taking the time and opportunity for this interview. Could you first introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Darrell Neo and I am a commercial photographer from the sunny island of Singapore. My main specialization is wedding and advertising photography, but I also do corporate photography, advertising product photography, animals, architecture and landscapes. I have been a professional commercial photographer for over 8 years.I am a member of the programs:

    – LMPA (UK): Licentiate of the Association of Professional Photographers (UK).

    – WPPI (USA): International Association of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (USA).

    – PPAS (SG): Professional Photographers Association (Singapore).

    – Olympus Ambassador Singapore.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

Since photography is your main activity – your job, do you have a hobby, something that you enjoy doing when you are not photographing?

Even when I’m not working, I still take pictures.Personally, I love long exposure daytime photography. I am always looking for new sources of inspiration for personal projects, I follow up with the photography industry to keep up to date. Other times I enjoy cycling and doing household chores! But photography is always my priority.

    photographer: Darrell Neo

Could you tell us how you realized that you want to devote your life to photography?

From early childhood I was interested in beautiful photographs, I was especially impressed by landscape photography.I remember the first time I picked up NatGeo magazine, I literally took my breath away from the photos I saw. All of this inspired me to take good pictures.

At the age of 24, I was already seriously interested in photography, I invested all my money in equipment – lenses, tripod, filters, intervalometer, etc. I began to try different genres of photography – cityscapes, street, macro photography, portrait photography, studio shooting …

    photographer: Darrell Neo

When I first encountered an external flash and tried it out, the experience literally blew my brain and opened up a whole new world of photography for me.I was amazed at how the use of artificial lighting opened up a whole new level of perspective – how just one light source could radically improve an image. I started to study lighting techniques and rules. When I was able to control all light sources in a controlled environment (studio), I eventually fell in love with low-key photography. As I got better at lighting, I decided to take up outdoor photography, capturing images even when the weather didn’t allow it.

I am grateful to my friends who supported my work and provided constructive feedback and advice to keep my passion growing.

    photographer: Darrell Neo

Do you remember how your very first camera was?

I bought my first DSLR a little over 8 years ago. It was an entry-level camera – Canon 400D with a complete 18-55mm lens. It served me well for two years before I completely switched to another system.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

Why did you decide to focus on portrait and wedding photography?

I believe that everyone should have their own beautiful portrait. I experimented a lot with this portrait photography to hone my skills and realized that there is a lot of room for creativity and self-realization in portrait photography. The use of natural or artificial light affects the portrait shot, the emotions behind that scene, and the story behind that face in different ways.

Wedding photography allows me to capture the wonderful moments of the joyful union of two, initially strangers. Every time I take a photo of a couple, I get great pleasure from every shoot, and even more, when the clients are happy with the results, I become a little happier. This is really helpful.

    photographer: Darrell Neo

How did you decide to become a professional photographer? You didn’t make that decision spontaneously, did you?

Before becoming a professional photographer, I worked in the IT industry.Needless to say, photography was my hobby, but it was also my biggest passion. I initially became interested in event photography and have not looked back since then. I do not regret my choice.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

Given your type of work, what reasons prompted you to switch from Nikon’s full-frame system to a smaller Olympus Micro 4/3 sensor? And what are the advantages and disadvantages of the Micro Four-thirds system for wedding and portrait photography? Have you ever regretted the choice you made?

For me, Olympus is a fantastic system. The cameras are lightweight, it takes weight off my physical body and reduces fatigue compared to a heavier set of full frame gear. Most importantly, this system delivers superior image quality to professional standards. I am very glad.

This system is truly a gem, and I am not advertising it, all cameras are built for their needs and Olympus has all my needs and requests. I love that the camera I use is sealed to suit my rough handling and shooting style (sometimes shooting in the rain). This allows me to shoot at my widest aperture with crisp details. High Resolution Manual Mode allows for better dynamic range images at 50MP and 80MP when using a tripod when I shoot slow shutter speeds or photographs for promotional items. The 5-axis IS is great and allows you to shoot handheld in 4 seconds, which I personally experienced! I heard that 20 seconds is also possible! The 3.0-inch vari-angle monitor is a real bliss when it comes to composition.

However, images tend to be noisy at high ISOs and detail is lost in low light conditions. But it doesn’t scare me if I use TTL flash.

    photographer: Darrell Neo

What’s missing from your previous full frame system?

The full frame system boasts a higher dynamic range with better highlight recovery and better noise control, even at high ISO settings. But sensors are developing even in smartphones, to say nothing of cameras.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

What is the main equipment you currently have for your shoot?

    I am currently using the E-M1X, E-M1 MkII and E-M10 MkII. As for the lenses, I always take the M.Zuiko Pro with me: 7-14mm, 12-40mm, 40-150mm, 17mm, 25mm, 45mm, 60mm and 300mm.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

Could you describe the reasons that prompted you to switch to the E-M1X and the main advantages of this camera over the E-M1II?

The E-M1X has a built-in vertical grip designed for better grip when shooting in portrait orientation. Also, this camera comes with 12 shortcut buttons that you can customize to your liking. And of course, 2 new multi-selectors. Plus, 2 SD card slots and 2 battery slots eliminate the need to change the memory card during a photo shoot and allow for longer shooting, which certainly alleviates my worries about running out of power.

Without the use of a tripod, this camera captures high-quality, portable, high-resolution 50-megapixel images by combining multiple raw files. And the Live ND function just saves me, it works great when you forget your manual filters.

    photographer: Darrell Neo

The E-M1X also has built-in GPS, barometer, compass and temperature sensors. Location information is recorded without the need to connect the camera to a phone or third-party device.

Initially I was told that this camera is intended for sports photography and bird photography, but I can confidently say that the E-M1X has also established itself as a serious tool for wedding photographers. Is this a case where development focused on a specific segment ultimately benefits all other segments? Never miss a moment with the reliable E-M1X AF system and high frame rates. I am completely satisfied, I solve all the shortcomings with DD in comparison with the full frame with lighting.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

Can you share your thoughts on the Olympus Pro series of lenses, especially the 25mm f / 1.2 and 45mm f / 1.2 lenses?

Lens M.Zuiko Pro are made of high quality glass and are weatherproof by a housing. I personally love fixed focal length lenses, and of course 25mm f / 1.2 and 45mm f / 1.2 give a shallower depth of field compared to zoom lenses. They also deliver accurately sharp images even at f / 1.2. 25mm and 45mm lenses have 50mm and 90mm full-frame equivalents, making them a great choice for portrait photography as the compression ratio is better. I choose them when I shoot portraits.

My personal favorite, the 45mm Pro is a great portrait lens that produces beautiful bokeh.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

How do customers accustomed to the two traditional camera brands in this market usually react to your camera (if you have one)?

Usually they ask me, like many photographers, they ask: “What kind of camera do you use?” When my clients find out that I am using Olympus, they are amazed at the images this small camera can create.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

Natural or artificial lighting, which do you prefer?

Both natural and artificial lighting provide different effects to images.

Natural light depends on the weather and the environment. It requires little setup time and minimal manpower. As a rule, the better the light, the better the picture, many may prefer to choose studio light or any other pulsed light, and some will choose the golden hour, so there are limitations.I often use mixed light, i.e. I use both natural and impulse at the same time.

There are countless uses of artificial light, including the use of colored gels and accessories, and they can be used anytime, anywhere. You have complete control over the light sources, creating the desired light and shadow. With a good understanding of artificial lighting, we can simulate any natural light. But you will need more time to set up, high-quality equipment and a workforce that will carry all this, or you yourself will be this force.

    Photographer: Darrell Neo

What do you think of your Godox AD200 flash, with experience with different systems and brands, why did you choose it?

Godox AD200 is a great flash with value for money. It is small, but powerful, with a capacity of up to 200 watts. The recharge time after each shot is short and provides consistent light output and color temperature despite continuous shooting. With the right settings, it can suppress ambient light. This is a cheap and affordable option for strobists.

Abracadabra or “what was that ?!”

This was my first reaction after reading the headline of an email from Anastasia, the organizer of a culinary event for bloggers. Peranakan cuisine and culture? Eh, what? Do you know where it is? Maybe Peruvian? No! It’s so good that I am a blogger and can learn so many new things =)

It turns out that there is such a people, the Peranakans. And they live in Singapore! How many of you have been to Singapore? Have you heard of these?

Only when I learned that a culinary and tourist event would take place in the Culinary Studio of Yulia Vysotskaya, I guessed that I was not being pranked =) For us, the Peranakans are like the Eskimos for the Peranakans!

Quote from letter: “After the successful trip of the team of the Julia Vysotskaya Culinary Studio to Singapore from October 19 to 25, 2014, supported by the Singapore Tourism Administration in Moscow and Singapore Airlines, a new gastronomic tour has appeared in the culinary studio’s portfolio. The 8-day program promises a wide variety of Singaporean gastronomic experiences, a wide variety of Singaporean cuisine, a cocktail of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Peranakan traditions. “

Naturally, me and martin got curious and agreed =)

We arrived at the studio on time, but there were already a lot of people =) The studio on Pravdy Street is very cozy! And during the master class and the historical presentation, it also became a museum! The excited man on the left – Alvin Yapp is a real Peranakan! He came to Moscow at the invitation of the Studio team, the Singapore Embassy in Russia and Singapore Airlines to introduce us to the culture and cuisine of their people. For example, he is the owner of the private Peranakan Museum in Singapore “The Intan”, which has become world famous among connoisseurs of Singapore and its traditions.

First, we watched a slideshow of photographs about the museum and the culture of the Peranakans and listened to an interesting lecture =) Alvin brought a part of the collection of his museum, you could see and touch everything! For example, girls could be photographed in traditional women’s outfits, such as kebaya blouses.

Traditional objects of the Peranakan culture.Lots of European, Chinese, Malaysian!

“The Peranakan Chinese are descendants of Chinese merchants who settled in the Malay Archipelago in the 14th century. In the 19th century, many of the Peranakan Chinese, attracted by commercial opportunities, migrated to the developing port of Singapore.”

Traditional footwear. Women began to wear embroidered shoes after they saw European women with handbags embroidered with beads =)

    Such beauty!

Listening to a lecture, treating ourselves to traditional Peranakan sweets decorated in a European style =)

And this smiling man is Raymond Lim, Regional Director of the Singapore Tourism Board in Moscow.

Immediately after the story about his culture, Alvin was happy to answer questions =)

In the teapot – traditional longan tea (like dates). Typically, this tea is served to guests at special events.

And then we were divided into teams. Tables were prepared for each team.

    Turnip =)

Well, the briefing has begun! Cooking =)

For the first time I saw martin cooking something =)

    Thinly thinly cuts turnips.

I cut my turnips =) I managed to take part in cooking a little. Thank you martin for the photo!

The mung bean is being cooked (I love it, especially with cilantro and cottage cheese), there is still a knot of onions in the pan.

Process =) Turnips are fried in oil and then stewed with a special sauce. We did it in a wok.

Alvin had time to help all the teams! Girls, he’s not married! =)

Incredibly, of course, a positive and energetic person!

Coconut cream and palm sugar were added to the mung bean. This will be dessert =)

The big white man and our teachers =)

    Shrimp! Mmmmm =)

    Quickly clean and cook!

Finely cut. Raymond shows how =)

Repeat. How cool it is sometimes to look at cooking from the side =)

    Testing the cooked))))

The young ladies are waiting for the verdict!

Put the stewed turnip in dough baskets, thin omelet, shrimp, cilantro and sauce.

It turned out to be very tasty =)

And we do AM! I did it just fine the second time =)

And this martin imposes a dessert made of mung bean. It was also delicious =)

Everyone is asleep in this photo =) In fact, at that moment among us all were raffled tickets for a plane to Singapore =) Congratulations to the winner!

Beauties in traditional Peranakan clothes from Singapore and Singapore Airlines.

Photo for memory. Two hours flew by like fifteen minutes, it was very interesting and tasty =)

Well, a table with gifts =) It’s good to be me!

A Singaporean photographer captures people’s emotions during a downpour

Each of us at least once fell under the pouring rain. Getting wet to the skin is not very pleasant, but there is something exciting and mesmerizing about the shower. It is these magical notes that photographer Danny, who lives in Singapore, catches. The master of photography takes pictures of passers-by under a heavenly waterfall to capture their emotions. In his pictures, someone is laughing, someone is sad, and someone is angry: a whole palette of feelings on the faces of passers-by creates a strong impression.

See Danny’s unusual rainy photos below.

Danny is a Singapore-based photographer who specializes in portraits and advertising. He focuses on capturing people, emphasizing their genuine energy and making it accessible to the viewer. The master loves to work in a team, and in order to create the ideal personnel, he enters into close contact with his clients.Danny works for some of the most famous Singaporean companies.

One of his most striking photo projects is Still Falls The Rain. In it, Danny reveals a palette of emotions on the faces of passers-by caught in a downpour. These pictures are very sincere and accurately convey the rainy mood of the Singaporeans.

They say that rain connects heaven and earth.Despite the fact that it makes us wet to the skin, there is something magical about this natural phenomenon. Photographer Danny noticed this and played it nicely in a series of rainy shots. Why wait for a thunderstorm to end when you can dance in the rain and enjoy the beauty of a heavenly waterfall?

A true master of photography sees beauty in the ordinary and gives the audience an opportunity to see this aesthetics. Danny finds inspiration in the rain, and Japanese Shin Noguchi draws ideas from everyday life on the streets of Japan. The result is stunning images that are ranked among the best photographs in the world.

    Anton and Alina Yulikov

It was absolutely amazing to write this particular success story, because it is definitely the most unusual of all, romantic, full of warmth and gratitude put into the story by the characters. But neither sensuality, nor creative reasoning during the interview and many questions that became food for thought afterwards did not prevent once again making sure that our university produces multifaceted, self-sufficient people striving for new horizons who are somehow attracted. found even on the other side of the earth.

The eleventh edition of the Success Stories project is dedicated not to one hero, but to two talented graduates of our university, a family, a team that, thanks to their exceptional creative taste, special vision of people and professionalism, managed to bring their brand, which has become one of the leading in the photography market, to the world level. This has never been their goal, they do not call it “career” or “success”, they just create, making the visual dreams of their clients come true, drawing inspiration from everything that surrounds them. We are talking about the Anton Yulikov brand, behind which stands one of the leading wedding and travel photographers in Russia, a top photographer in Singapore, occupying the first places in all relevant ratings, a graduate of the Faculty of Information Technology and Mechanical Science (now the Institute of Information Technology and Automation of St. founder of the photography school, organizer of photo tours around the world, Anton Yulikova. His lens captured such incredible personalities of our time as Elton John, and he photographed weddings in more than 40 countries around the world. Anton is always in search of depth and spiritual strength in people, he is one of the authors of the exhibition “Ascent to Athos” in the Kazan Cathedral, the author of a series of photographs of the spiritual leader of the followers of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama.

The second half of the creative union is Alina Yulikova, a graduate of the Institute of Spatial Environment Design of St. union with Anton, creates interior design in the halls of their own photo studio, website design. As a wedding stylist and make-up artist, Alina creates an image of a model in accordance with the concept of shooting, does makeup and hair, helps to work out the details and composition of the frame, a large semantic layer of work that lies on her is communication with clients. Thanks to her natural modesty, beauty and tact, she competently adjusts the couple for shooting, helps to relax, and disposes to the maximum disclosure of the client’s individuality.

    – We have a lofty goal, and the technical part is built around it: the professional one – from my side, and such a subtle, maybe even psychological, – with Alinina.

    Anton Yulikov.

Anton and Alina did not meet at the university, they studied at different times in different courses, but this significant meeting with a like-minded university student was not the only one in their work. The couple says that such meetings are not uncommon, because when they find themselves on the other side of the world, getting to know people at work, it often turns out that the interlocutor studied in St. Petersburg, at the University of Industrial Technologies and Design.

    – When I first flew to Singapore to work for a wedding, I met a man who opened and showed me the city.He asked me where such talented people are taught, I said that I studied in St. Petersburg, at the University of Industrial Technologies and Design, it turned out that he also studied in St. Petersburg and it was at our university. It was a delight for me.

    Anton Yulikov.

As a schoolboy, Anton chose a hobby that later became his vocation – photography. In the 11th grade, he won the first serious competition, but even then he did not realize that he would associate his work with her. When it came time to choose a university, there was no doubt: people who were authoritative for him at that time advised him to enter SPbGUPTD, knowing Anton’s penchant for creativity. The young man chose the specialty “Applied Informatics in Economics”.

    – I’ve always been interested in design and everything related to creativity, but I wanted even more. The direction that I chose seemed interesting to me, training at the intersection of creative and technical knowledge. I would have chosen him even if at that moment I knew that I would be a photographer.

    Anton Yulikov.

He continued to photograph people, the number of clients increased. But one day Anton was invited to be a photographer at the wedding of high-ranking people of a national scale. He was worried, but the work was highly appreciated by the customer. From that moment on, photographer Anton Yulikov became very much in demand. So, in an incredible cycle of study, work and creativity, he passed his first course. The versatility of the activity into which Anton went deeply at the university, the discovery of technical directions for himself, and in this regard, the constant overcoming of himself, sometimes even gave a feeling of creative enlightenment. The photographer admitted that the advice of teachers of technical subjects helped him in his work:

    – I used to think that people of a technical mindset are “not artists”, but in fact, they are very creative and very deep people.

    Anton Yulikov.

In addition to professional development and training, Anton managed to make many friends at the university. Over time, friendship grew into joint creativity: someone can help in what he became stronger in, what he succeeded in, thereby forming friendly partnerships, which became a very important acquisition for the hero.

    – A university is, first of all, a community of people moving in one direction, and everyone is doing something, who is stronger in what. And it helps a lot! It helped me a lot.

    Anton Yulikov.

2 years after his graduation, Alina Rastorgueva, in the future Alina Yulikova, entered the Institute of Spatial Environment Design of the SPbGUPTD. The girl always dreamed of design, loved to draw, but Alina did not yet have a clear plan for realizing herself.Everything was decided by fate. Once the girl came to St. Petersburg to visit her friends. Walking through the city center, at the intersection of Kirpichny Lane and Bolshaya Morskaya Street, she saw a large beautiful building of the University of Industrial Technology and Design and immediately realized that she wanted to study here. On the same day, Alina began to search for information about the university on the Internet and learned about the “Culture and Art” Olympiad for schoolchildren, which made it possible to enter a university without entrance examinations.

    – If I had not tried, I would not have known that I really have talent.I drew how I felt. The excitement was intense. Perhaps due to him my abilities were revealed.

    Alina Yulikova.

In 2012, the girl becomes the winner of the Olympiad and enters SPbGUPTD. Teachers played an important role in Alina’s development as a multidisciplinary, universal designer. Once Professor Ustinov Boris Georgievich, who, unfortunately, is no longer with us, told his students, among whom was Alina, how he brings up human space, how all turns, all angles, all color solutions affect people, and the space formed by our parents, the space of the city, the environment – on our formation as individuals.

    – It was a discovery for me. All architecture was revealed to me in these words. This has become the foundation, my foundation in all the teaching of my work now. These were powerful, powerful words!

    Alina Yulikova.

In 2018, Alina graduates from the magistracy and graduates from the university. Ahead of her, travels and an unusual meeting await her, which will turn her whole life upside down.

While studying at the university, she works on design projects, fulfills orders, and is fond of photography.Alina develops ideas, a vision of the composition is formed, new sensations come from the shooting process. At that time, Anton was already in great demand and was positioned in the professional environment as a high-class wedding photographer. In 2015, he opens a photography school, organizes photo tours with students to different countries, where they visit places such as Indochina, Tibet, Iceland, go deep into the process of working on photography, go deeper into ethnography.

Once on the Internet, Anton noticed a girl with long hair, whose charm could not leave the photographer indifferent.

    – I thought it was so interesting that such a photographer wrote to me, we began to communicate, it turned out that we studied at the same university.

    Alina Yulikova.

After a while, the girl, striving for creative freedom and new sensations, becomes a student of the photo school. Her teacher immediately understood how Alina differs from people from other universities, besides, she was the best in her stream. After some time, the talented student goes on a photo tour with a group of other students of the school to Burma. And then, for two and a half months – on a trip to the filming of Anton. The team worked in picturesque, sometimes even magically amazing places, the creative tandem became more united, the teacher became a companion, and now they were on an equal footing … Upon returning to St. Petersburg, the young people got married.

    – I see people who “breathe” creativity, they live by it. They may not photograph anything yet, but I can immediately tell which of the five people will be the best – the one whose eyes are burning.Alina’s creative energy was prominent.

    Anton Yulikov.

Thanks to the fact that the heroes of this story managed to expand the geography of filming, build trusting relationships with clients, competently combine the creative and commercial direction of wedding photography and the inspiring, ethnographic travel direction, today the Anton Yulikov brand is becoming one of the leading brands in the wedding industry. The talented couple of Anton and Alina creates a kind of art object, which is then at home in the form of a book, as a kind of family foundation, keeping memories that can sometimes save her in difficult times. They are grateful to their university and every time in different parts of the world they proudly answer the question of where they studied.

    – For us, the university is a temple of art that has united us, and many more people who help make this world more beautiful.

    Anton Yulikov.

    – The university revealed in me the creative and technical aspects of which I did not suspect, pushed me to take photography, connected me with Anton.

    Alina Yulikova.

I was very impressed by the hero’s reasoning about education in Russia. Anton says that learning plays a big role and builds a personality from all sides, versatility makes it possible for this personality to manifest itself in any activity in the future. And this is in many ways the advantage of Russian education over Western education.

    – I work with many countries of the world and personally communicate with representatives of different nations and different entities. And now Russian education can be seen very strongly in the power of this versatility.

    Anton Yulikov.

This is a story about talent, about a special vision of people, pictures of nature, the synthesis of everything that can cause emotions in us in one frame, about a disinterested attitude to life, about how a place brings us up where we can feel and understand our abilities, where we will want more and get what we are looking for, where on our way there will be people whom we will never forget again, they will tell us in time what to do, and we will choose the right path in time. Our university is our place of power.

Thanks to Alina and Anton Yulikov for an incredibly interesting interview. When they told that there were practically no serious problems and crises on their way, I thought that this happens only with kind, grateful and open people, like my heroes.

You can leave a comment on the story, ask the heroes a question on the official page of SPbGUPTD on facebook.

Photo shoot Singapore, street photo shoot in Singapore

A photo session in Singapore is an integral part of any trip. After all, everyone wants to capture the beauty of new countries, nature, architecture in their travel album for a long memory. So that while exploring a new city you do not spend a lot of time in devices and be sure of a high-quality result that will delight the eye for many years – entrust this task to a professional. Just write in the search engine – photo shoot Singapore and take the time for the portfolio, the style of which suits you best. Found?, Great! So it’s time to write to the photographer.

Photoshoot Singapore, pictures for the best memories.

Singapore welcomes tourists with modern skyscrapers, despite which it is buried in greenery. Amazing streets, parks for walking, a fabulous promenade near the world famous Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa Island and even the Singapore Zoo – there are many locations for expressive shots.

Advantages of photo walks and why a street photo shoot?

    • I’m sure that you already have photos from the beach and from the studio in your album, and if not, it’s much easier to organize them;
    • Singapore opens up many great locations, shooting in the best locations in the city;
    • you pay attention to the environment and its content;
    • you get high-quality processed images;
    • and of course you don’t carry your camera;
    Singapore and Sentosa Island

If you want to change the look of a dynamic metropolis to nature, I suggest paying attention to the Sentosa Island. Here we are waiting not only for sandy beaches, but also many other interesting locations for a photo session. This is the perfect place for a love story and pre-wedding photo shoot.

Photoshoot Singapore. How is an order placed?

When planning your trip, book a photo session in advance. Finding a photographer in Singapore “here and now” is very difficult.

Most of the time I live on Koh Samui in Thailand, it’s two hours by plane. Therefore, when I am not in the city, I consider wedding photo shoots and shootings lasting from 4 hours. In other cases, a photo shoot in Singapore may involve additional costs. Booking a photo session requires an advance payment, on the basis of which I purchase tickets.

Photography gives us the opportunity to experience the emotions of travel again and again. And this is just one of the reasons why a Singapore photo shoot and a Singapore street photo shoot will be very useful here. Keep your moments bright with the help of a professional.

Traditional Wedding in Singapore | Wedding tours

    Singapore City State

A lot is known about this country, its achievements and people. But the realities of modern Singapore are striking. For example, a visa. To obtain it, you only need your photographs and passport data (and in digital format). In this sense, Singapore has gone much further than the European states.

If you are arriving by invitation, the inviting party must submit your data to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Then e-visas come to your post office to enter Singapore. And no more bureaucratic red tape.

Singapore is a very industrial city with a very large seaport. Here are the most effective laws, tough fines and perfectly clean streets. Once in Singapore, you will understand why many Asian newlyweds go to Europe for their honeymoon trip or pre-wedding trip. The city is teeming with skyscrapers. On their rooftops are swimming pools, golf courses and helipads.

Singaporeans are very hardworking people. It is not for nothing that this country ranks first in the world in terms of many indicators.

The Best Wedding Traditions in Singapore: Part One

The beginning of the marriage resembles a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony, where all the ancient customs of China are observed.First, in the bride’s house, a young couple holds a tea ceremony for relatives and parents. The groom must go through several tests before he sees his chosen one, which is reliably guarded by devoted girlfriends and friends.

The process of buying a bride in Singapore is very similar to the same ceremony at our weddings. Also, several tasks for the groom, the same bargaining, cheerful laughter, cries of love and fidelity, and already for a couple of packs of local currency, the bride is in the hands of the happy groom.

When the bride and groom are reunited, they do not part anymore for a minute. After the tea ceremony at the bride’s parents, the couple and their friends go to the groom’s house. Here they are treated to traditional Chinese food. After all, the culture of Singapore is based on Chinese traditions. These are not the most delicious local dishes, but they are sure to be treated in the house of the groom’s parents. Therefore, you must definitely try them.

And again tea. The bride and groom must again give these drinks to everyone. Each present is presented with a cup of tea, a bow is made and congratulations are received. Parents are the last to take tea from the hands of their children.

    Gathering guests

Families in Singapore are usually numerous. In an average Singaporean family, only young people from 3 to 20 years old can recruit up to 20 people. They all gather on the embankment in a charming place, where the wedding ceremony itself takes place, at which the bride and groom swear to each other in eternal love and, finally, are declared husband and wife. This is a very touching moment.

The first wedding day usually ends with a family celebration in the form of a dinner for 150 people. All guests are only close relatives.

    Wedding in Singapore: Part Two

A gala evening for friends is arranged by the young in exactly one week. This time, the reception is organized especially for friends and youth. Apparently, in order not to injure the older generation with their behavior. Young Singaporeans prefer to drink beer in very large quantities.

In general, youth wedding parties are quite calm and decent. The newlyweds show guests a film about their love story, which they filmed in Prague and Paris during their pre-wedding trip to Europe, accept congratulations and gifts. This is followed by toasts and, of course, dances.

    Test AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

In my work, a high-aperture portrait lens is a must, since wedding photography is basically a portrait genre. For many years, the AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f / 1.4 coped with the role of a portrait photographer, first version D, and then G, and quite successfully. In addition, I successfully use AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f / 2.8G ED VR II for these purposes, but still this is a different class of optics in terms of aperture, and the difference between f / 2.8 and 1.4 is essential.

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

Since progress has not yet been canceled and optical designs continue to improve, the announcement of the AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED has brought the expectation of even better quality and new benefits into my professional life. As a brand ambassador, at the first opportunity, I took the novelty for testing at the Nikon Russia representative office, hoisted it on the Nikon D700 and headed to Red Square, where Maslenitsa was celebrated at that time and there were more than enough opportunities for portrait photography.

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

Naturally, it was interesting for me to test the capabilities of the new lens at the maximum open aperture, since it is the image quality at this value that will be most in demand, and it is for this reason, in fact, that high-aperture optics are acquired.

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Shutter speed – 1/1000, ISO 640
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

Quite weighty – 985g – but very comfortable in the hand, the AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED quickly captured faces in the flow of people with a beautiful pattern of blur, the so-called bokeh. Focusing is not as instantaneous as at 70-200 f / 2.8, but it is quite fast, and in this shot there was no case that he did not have time to focus on focus.

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1250, ISO 640
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

I can say that I really enjoyed the test of this lens. I didn’t want to finish shooting and take my eyes off the viewfinder. When processing the material, the very high sharpness caught my eye, especially in the center of the frame, and once again caused admiration for the bokeh. Actually, you can see for yourself by seeing the results of the shooting.

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Shutter speed – 1/1000, ISO 640
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

    Aperture – f / 1.4
    Exposure – 1/1000, ISO 800
    Focal length – 105 mm
    Camera – Nikon D700
    Lens – AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED

As a conclusion, I can say that despite the high cost
AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f / 1.4E ED more than justifies itself in the daily practice of a portraitist, and even more so a wedding photographer. Personally, I immediately bought it myself and use it with pleasure.
