Saturday Club loots – A Place for Shopaholics to Review — LiveJournal

Hey all! Its been a while!

As of late, I’ve been a really huge fan of Saturday Club clothes. I know its not the cheapest blogshop but the quality of the clothes and design more than compensate for it. I would say SC resembles Zara most, from its cut, sizing, design aesthetics and even presentation of its clothes on its site. And I think it reasonable to pay for Zara quality at a fraction of the price! So yes, its not the cheapest, but I feel its really affordable nevertheless.

Saturday Club Watercolour Romper in Size XS

Pardon the lighting in my room but this romper is more vibrant in real life, but less so than studio pics. Material feels like textured crepe. Plus points are the pockets (!!!) that come with the romper and the rise of the romper is not too high. Racerfront design gives it a sporty chic kinda feel.  The material feels slightly stretchy at the waist and fits true to my usual measurements.
However, I’m not too sure if I should keep it because I prefer my rompers to be more flare and lightweight like LB’s Reyes Romper and I don’t think the colours look that flattering on me.
Might be selling it off. (Selling at $36) Email me if interested.

Saturday Club Element Skirt in Size S

This however, is a keeper! I used to think that Trumpet Skirts didn’t suit my body type because I tried one at Zara once and it made my limbs look twice their size. Thank goodness LB’s Saveria Skirt changed my perception once and for all.
I was actually quite surprised this wasn’t as popular a piece since ‘cracked marble’ is pretty in trend this season. The marble portion is made of a neoprene material, whereas the black body is textured polyester. Size S fits me with a slight bit of allowance. Length wise, I feel its slightly longer than the Saveria Skirt. The skirt also feels less structured than the Saveria, probably due to the choice of material and hence gives a less flouncy effect. Do note the seamless undergarments are also a must, as with all trumpet skirts.
My only pet peeve is the zip (as pictured above). When unzipping or zipping the skirt, I get slightly paranoid because the zip is not as sturdy and slightly flimsy/ wobbly. As seen in the picture, it has “multiple joints” whereas most zips only have single/double joints. Its wobbliness gets me worried that even the slightest tug will cause it to break apart so I’m really careful when zipping/unzipping.
Just something to take note of although its possible to change the zip at a seamstress and be done with the problem. (incurring extra cost though)

Saturday Club Symphony Sheath Dress in Size XS

Bought this during SC’s restocks and thus I couldn’t wear it for CNY, unlike originally planned. My mom was pretty besotted with the myriad of colours on the dress, as was I. The haphazardness of the prints complement the clean lines of this dress. (Yes, this dress is super duper colourful) Do not be fooled by the simplicity of the front of the dress because the back design fulfills the criteria of subtle sexiness. (Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture the back by myself so I’ve attached the stockpic instead) Dress is non-sheer and comes with hip pockets (You probably have to unpick the threads for the pocket to be functional but I’ve not tried it yet)
Whilst I adore the design, I feel that the look is a tad too formal and too long for my 1.6 frame. It would probably suit office ladies better as the length is just grazing my knees. As I won’t be entering the workforce anytime soon, I’m letting this dress go.

Saturday Club Surf Dress in Size S

When I saw the previews for the dress, I believe my heart actually stopped a little. I have a weakness for prints, especially SC printed designs. As seen in the second pic, the prints are gorgeous. The juxtaposition of all the different types of flowers and how vibrant they look even on cloth still amazes me. Material feels like a polyester blend.
The only fault I found with the dress was the sizing. Looking at the measurements, I actually sized up because measurements for Size S of the surf dress are actually smaller than measurements for Size XS of the Symphony Sheath. Alas, the dress is slightly too big for me at the PTP whilst it fits with slight allowance at the waist. Woes of being small chested. I think the dress should fit UK 8-UK 10 better at the PTP.
Letting go this dress in Size S as I have already put in another order for Size XS.
Email me if you’re interested. (Selling BNWT at $38)

Saturday Club Absolute Top in White, Size XS

Finally, my last review for today. Its weird but I feel that this top seems to have a story to tell. My friends call this my global warming top (lol) The prints on the top depict different scenes of nature, from trees to the sky etc. Material is chiffon. The front is lined, but not the back, which is slight sheer. It comes with 2 flaps at the back which fly in the wind as you walk (as seen above). This is a lovely dress down top that is truly “effortlessly chic”. It also doesn’t require much accessorizing. SC has released this top in a variety of prints and I truly think its worth it to own at least one. In fact, I’m already eyeing my second piece. *oops*

That’s all for my SC purchases so far. Will come back another day to up another post on some other blogshops I’ve been shopping with.

Oh btw, I just wanted to advise first-timers shopping with SC to size down from your usual LB Sizing. I’m a usual Size S for LB tops and dresses, and take XS for SC whilst a usual Size M for LB bottoms and take S for SC. So far, this way of determining my sizing with SC has worked almost 99% of the time. Nevertheless, measurements are probably still the best indicator in purchasing something.

I’m a usual UK 6/8 for tops, UK 8/10 for bottoms. 1.6 m tall.

We set the standard for finding emails

Trusted by over 9.7 million users and 95% of the S&P 500.

We had no where to begin. Scouring the web at all hours of the night wasn’t gonna cut it. RocketReach has given us a great place to start. Our workflow has solid direction now – we have a process in place the begins with RocketReach and ends with huge contact lists for our sales team..it probably saves Feedtrail about 3 months of work in terms of lead gathering. We can divert our attention to actually going after the customer now!

Great for building a list of leads. I loved the ability to determine personal emails from virtually anyone on the web with RocketReach. I was assigned a project recently that regarded public relations, partnership, and outreach responsibilities and RocketReach not only connected me to prospective individuals but allowed me to streamline my search approach on the basis of location, skill set, and keyword.

Prior to RocketReach, we would reach out to people through professional networking sites like Linkedln. But it was frustrating for us to have to wait for people to accept our connection requests (if they accepted them at all) and sending is too expensive..this was a major speed bump in our workflow and source of never ending frustration.. With the shear number of contacts we’ve been able to find using RocketReach, the platform has probably saved us nearly five years’ worth of waiting.

It’s the best, most effective email search engine I’ve used yet, and I’ve tried a few. Both in the scope of the searches, and in the number of accurate emails found, I find it surpasses others. I also like the layout, which is easy on the eye, more attractive and efficient. The bottom line is that it has been a effective tool in my work, as a non-profit reaching out to leadership.

Before RocketReach, the process of sourcing email addresses consisted of scouring the internet, asking mutual friends, or stalking on LinkedIn. The most frustrating part was how time consuming this all was.The first time I used RocketReach was when I realized I made the right decision. Finding emails for contacts turned into a one-and-done instead of a week long process.

Looking up emails for a targeted outreach was manual and enormously time consuming. When I tried RocketReach and to find business information about key people in seconds in an easy and seamless process, I was hooked! The tool reduced the time to connect with new prospects by close to 90%.

School has been sooooo busy I’ve neglected this space. But as exam comes to an end, and while I enjoy the start of my short short holiday (before internship starts, sigh), I’ve been indulging myself in the new pieces from various blogshops, and today I would like to review the blogshops in Singapore.

I am not an expert. I’ve barely updated my “Blogshop” bookmarks on my chrome browser this entire year. So I’m sorry if I disappoint if you don’t see the super popular ones/ or your favourite ones here. But I only wish to share MY favourite blogshops and my sources for new blogshops.

1. The number one blogshop that I purchase from is: www.runwaybandits.com

I’ve followed them since the beginning of blogshops in Singapore, when A for arcade was still known as “Little Red Heels”. They started out with funky, indie pieces before recently launching their own line last year, and I’ve been their fan ever since. I love how all their pieces are wearable and every piece’s quality is guaranteed. Although not every piece fits my body shape, I’m largely satisfied and am always browsing through their new collections.

Not to mention, their paying system is neat, fast and easy too.

Saturday Club is a relatively new blogshop, but it has rose quickly through the ranks and is one of the few blogshops that have chosen to differentiate themselves with high price, but also high quality pieces. I have only purchased once from them, but that alone is enough to convince me of their quality service. My purchase arrived from courier the next day, and came in a special packaging, that made me feel like every cent I paid was worth it. Their clothing has become increasingly expensive through the months, but still worth the price, for the quality of the clothing and service you will receive.

I am 80% confident that this blogshop is founded by the same founders of rwb. It has the same point system and the payment system is similar too. Nonetheless, I still want to applaud them, because every piece sold looks so in trend and wearable. And and and, it is priced relatively lower than the market too, for which, I am very impressed by the sensitivity of the owners. I’m totally digging their shu shorts right now btw.

4. My number source for new blogshop and blogshop items: instagram! Specifically, @dreachong and @chloeandchoo, of course the blogshop owners are a great source as well, like @joycesayshello

It’s so easy to browse new collections, yet to be launched items and to also check which few blogshops are selling the exact same items that they bring in from taobao !!!

which leads me to …

5. My ultimate source and the only reason why I refuse to purchase from certain blogshops: 淘宝

Yes, all your blogshop fangirls out there, this is where everyone gets their clothes and this is the reason why they appear for such low prices on carousell and why people take forever to get the PO in Singapore.

These are just some of my favourite stores. There are a gazillion stores selling the same stuff on taobao and I almost swore off shopping malls upon discovering their online mall. And I no longer have an biasness against “Made in China”.

And thus I conclude my blogshop shopping habits and tricks. The great Singapore Sale is almost here, if you’re still in the mood after seeing the prices on taobao, happy shopping!

ASOS joins LCF Fashion & Business Saturday Club for a special masterclass

Saturday is usually a day to catch up with friends, maybe do some shopping or just rest after a hard week at school, but not for our brilliant bunch of students attending the 9-week LCF Outreach Fashion & Business Saturday Club.

The Saturday Club Trust holds a range of clubs at universities, colleges or museums around the country, introducing young people to new subjects. They welcome youngsters from 13 to 16 years old, and their aim is to nurture talent and provide them with opportunities to go on to further education in the creative industries. In 2016, The British Fashion Council joined forces with The Trust to launch a national Fashion and Business Saturday Club, giving young people the chance to study fashion for free.

The LCF Saturday Club explores the wonderful world of fashion business with the chance to meet tutors across different fashion specialisms. This year the students are creating their own accessory brand and 3D printing the prototypes in the LCF digital suite. The work will be part of the Saturday Club Trust exhibition at Somerset House in June.

One of the recent sessions was widely welcomed by the students, when ASOS visited and delivered a masterclass especially for LCF. Marina Crook, Editor of ASOS magazine, arrived with a heavy suitcase of ASOS clothes and accessories alongside 3 of her colleagues, Amanda, Aimee and Harriet. They had bags full of enthusiasm, information and tips.

Students took part in an ASOS quiz and discovered what a day in the life of Amanda is like, who works in ASOS Marketplace with many exciting brands. Amiee and Harriet spoke about they day to day of a Fashion Buying Assistant, and Marina shared some background stories about cover stars on the magazine like Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.

There were loads of questions from the students who really wanted to know what working in a big fashion brand is like and what ASOS looks for in perspective employees.

It was not long until the students got their hands on the ASOS accessories, sunglasses, ski coats, belts, sparkles… There was no hesitation in coming up with some new looks – the ASOS team took note!

Michele Buchanan, Senior Outreach Manager at LCF, thanks ASOS and The British Fashion Council for making this masterclass happen:

It was such an insight for our Saturday Clubbers and our Outreach Ambassadors, many of who see ASOS as one of their dream brands. Watch this space for the final outcomes – Somerset House here we come!

Exhibition “Game of Thrones” at the tip of a pencil “

In our city there is an exhibition of a Russian artist carving miniatures on the tips of graffite pencils. Most of the exposition is dedicated to the Game of Thrones TV series, the new season of which starts in July.

Salavat Fidai, was born and raised in the Urals, in a family of artists.Since childhood, he loved to carve, and decorated with carvings everything that came to hand, from wood to pieces of chalk. However, Salavat worked part of his life as a lawyer, and returned to art only recently. But the return was triumphant: the HBO Asia channel became interested in Fidai’s works inspired by Game of Thrones, and now unique works can already be seen in Singapore! “As soon as we saw his work on YouTube, we immediately decided that we should bring Salavat to us!” – say the organizers of the exhibition from the K + gallery.

90,000 information for everyone and for everyone

Journal No. 3 – 2011 (5),

rubric: “Other cities and countries”

The oldest and most widely read newspaper in Singapore is the Straits Times. It is published daily, and its main task is to cover the news in all walks of life, both in Singapore and beyond.

The first issue of The Straits Times was published on July 15, 1845, and today it is considered one of the oldest English-language newspapers in Asia. Many analysts agree that it is in the Straits Times that news about the Asia-Pacific region is most fully presented, but at the same time in the first place is always upholding the interests of his native Singapore. Nine correspondent offices of the Straits Times newspaper have been opened in the APR countries.
The newspaper has an A2 format and is owned by Singapore Press Holdings (SPB). This corporation publishes two more publications – Business Times and The New Paper.
The Straits Times is credited with being the successor to many of the “news stories” published in Singapore in the mid-19th century. After Singapore gained independence from Malaysia on August 9, 1965, the Straits Times had a “second wind” and made a huge contribution to promoting the “Singapore economic miracle.”Today the Straits Times is a member of the Asia News Network Club.

The editorial board of The Straits Times divides its publication into four large sections. The main one is devoted to events in the APR countries. The largest number of journalists are working on materials for this section. The second section pays a lot of attention to international events in the context of the further development of Singapore. The third section is economic, materials for it are prepared by well-known economists both in Singapore and around the world. The fourth section is devoted to sports news. All main sections have their own subsections and sections, which include popular among readers headings of job advertisements, cultural events, and entertainment in Singapore. The heading “Life” is in great demand, in which, based on the example of biographies of specific people, advice is given to readers on how to behave correctly in a given situation. It comes out as a standalone supplement.

The Saturday issue of the newspaper contains a permanent heading that tells about new scientific developments. Also, several times a week (mostly 2-4 times) special tabs are published in the Straits Times newspaper: Urban (new trends in fashion, cosmetics and perfumery are considered), Cats Classified (private ads), Mind Your Body (tips on a healthy lifestyle ) etc.
Straits Times was one of the first newspapers in Singapore to actively explore the Internet. The official website of the newspaper was launched
on January 1, 1994 and since then provides free access to all sections and articles that are in the print version. To my question: “How is it possible to maintain such a large circulation with such an accessibility of the publication on the Internet?”, The majority of the newspaper employees answered that traditions and habits of buying the paper version of the publication play a huge role. But the online edition for a fee is engaged in sending its subscribers a selection of the latest news, that is, the reader has the opportunity to learn about the news immediately, without waiting for the newspaper to leave the printing house.
A particular pride and unique wealth of The Straits Times is its digital archive. It contains digitized newspaper materials from 1845 to 1982! Free access to the newspaper’s unique archives began in 2007 following a historic agreement between Singapore Press Holdings and the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. Under the terms of this agreement, everyone has access to the archives for individual research and for reference purposes. Since March 2009, more than 550,000 documents posted at various times on the pages of the Straits Times have become available to users.

Digitization of Straits Times material for the 1982-2007 period is currently being completed. Since 2008, all of the newspaper’s materials have already been saved in digital format.
The next newspaper that I have seen in Singapore is the Business Times, published in English. On the pages of this publication, all issues of economics and business are considered, not only in the Asia-Pacific region, but throughout the world.
The first issue of the newspaper was published in October 1976. It was at this time that the rapid development of Singapore as the largest economic center in Asia began. Business Times offers corporate, financial, economic and political news, with a lot of attention to analytics and expert commentary on a variety of topics. The peculiarity of the publication is that high-level specialists are constantly invited to write materials for the newspaper, the task of full-time journalists (who are few) is to control and coordinate the work of specialists. Thus, on the pages of the Business Times one can find the most opposite opinions on the same issue, which causes quite natural discussions in society.
Today, the Singapore print market is represented by a wide variety of publications to suit all tastes. Many newspapers and magazines are published both in Chinese and in the languages of the peoples of India. People of a wide variety of nationalities live in Singapore. The Chinese and Indian neighborhoods are very large in number, and the market meets the needs for satisfying the information hunger among their residents.
Of the TV channels broadcasting in Singapore, Channel 5 and Channel are the most popular. The latter broadcasts in both English and Chinese. Music TV channels – MTV Asia (in English) and MTV Chinese (in Chinese) – are also enjoying steady interest.

Of the radio stations of greatest interest to me was the Class 95 FM radio, broadcasting in English. The format of the radio station can be called classic, as newscasts and analytical programs are replaced by small musical selections of different styles and trends.
Hello Singapore music radio station is broadcasting in Japanese. This radio station was created to support Japanese citizens working in Singapore for various reasons. I was pleasantly surprised that there is a radio station in Singapore that broadcasts exclusively classical music – Symphony 92.4 FM. As you know, the creation of such radio stations in Russia has suffered a fiasco.
Unfortunately, the interest of the Singaporean media in Russia is extremely low. If there are materials about events in our country, they are mainly devoted to what is happening in Moscow and St. Petersburg. From other cities, Vladivostok is rarely, but nevertheless, noted as the largest port in the Asia-Pacific region.
Talking about the prospects for cooperation, the editors of the Straits Times and Business Times, with oriental wisdom, said that this topic had not yet been considered. But if such an opportunity arises, then, first of all, the Singapore media would be interested in the ecological situation in the Khabarovsk Territory. In Singapore, they have heard a lot about accidents at Chinese chemical plants and, quite rightly, fear for the entire ecology of Asian countries. And gaining knowledge about the ecological situation in the east of Russia (including after the pollution of our rivers with Chinese chemicals) would make it possible to make forecasts for the near future and take any effective measures. But so far, the Singaporean media do not have purposeful cooperation with any of the mass media in the Far East. For this reason, the prospects for cooperation between the media of the Khabarovsk Territory and Singapore are still very vague. And here, it seems to me, our publications or TV companies should be the first to meet. The Singaporean media are ready to start cooperation, but they themselves are not going to impose themselves and ask for an exchange of information.

Analyzing how the children studied and learned the material last year, this time I will combine material and give assignments both from a textbook for a three-year elementary school and from a textbook for a four-year school. This will contribute to a more solid assimilation of the studied material in the lesson.
We will also do calligraphy in special workbooks and learn to work with text. In the reading lesson, we will get acquainted with the classic literary works from the textbooks “Native Speech”, as well as we will work with the books Literary reading “In one happy childhood”, R. N. Buneev, E.B. Buneeva. In addition, children will receive tasks from workbooks on the development of speech, which will help children to master competent and coherent speech, both asleep and written; replenish their vocabulary, as well as increase their interest in their native language.

Here are some pictures from our final parenting concert in June.

Part 4: Crocodile farm. Sentosa: Aquarium & Beach

I planned in advance to get to the crocodile farm to buy some stylish things made of the skin of these very reptiles at the request of one friend (although he is a giraffe, he loves things
exclusively crocodile: there is some kind of biocenosis, the call of the ancestors, evolution and daddy Darwin).

Getting up in the morning, looking at the bright sun, thinking about the bliss of wallowing on the beach, I remembered medical cases that ruined everything, and I didn’t want to go to the beach, so after the execution
I decided to get to the same crocodile farm, which is the only one in Singapore, before Sentosa with its beaches. We were already there in October 2007, so in detail
I will not paint the path.

But I will say one thing for sure: you cannot do without the metro, namely the purple line.

Trains here run from the SBS Transit company, so they differ in design and even in shape (a kind of cylinders combined into one snake). I arrived at the Serangoon station, went outside …

And I remembered that, firstly, I forgot my cap at home, and somehow I didn’t want to expose my bald spot under the scorching rays of the star of our beloved solar system, and secondly, I completely forgot which one
bus and how many stops to go.On the first question, I got out of the situation by smearing myself with sunscreen (I always carry this thing with me in my backpack! One burn to blisters last year
was enough), on the second question – I had to climb onto the pedestrian bridge, since the exit was on the right side of the street, and traffic in Singapore, as you know, is left-hand.

Oh, what houses became visible from the bridge! The child in me woke up again, began to cry and with a roar pointed his finger at one of the windows in that house: I want to go there, and I want to live there! Yes, and why I don’t
millionaire? Why in the early nineties I was so far from the place where the oligarchs were handed out the bins of the homeland? I wonder if I sell just a plate from Abramovich’s yacht, that’s enough for me
to that apartment in such a luxurious condominium? Remembering that on Kuzu the Indians live in barns and every day have to go to Singapore for groceries, I somehow calmed down…

The bus driver kindly said that there is only 1 stop to the farm … And why did I go to that bridge, and then now I have to go back in the same way (because the farm is on the right side
streets)? I was sure that there were three stops to go …

Coming off the bridge to the side I needed, I immediately saw, no, or rather, smelled durians.Who remembers the sweet, pleasant smell of strawberries coming from a bucket of berries or a basket when
we are taking her in transport, and half of the salon wiggles their noses, inhaling this wonderful aroma? Now, if this aroma is strengthened 10 times, and change the “+” sign to the “-” sign,
then you will get an idea of how durian stinks. This is a hellish mixture of kerosene with garlic and onions, enhanced by the smell of a Moscow ordinary garbage can. Believe me, stand for more than 1 minute
next to these trays – it’s unbearable, you have to either pinch your nose, or get away.

And the merchant selflessly cut the fruits and laid out something that looked like the white tongues of an albino dragon in plastic trays, three fruits each. And gently wrapped them in plastic
sincerely believing that she is able to remove the stink. And such a tray with entrails of three fruits cost 10 syngabaks. I would buy because it tastes like the most delicate creature, there are signs
swap places, and the “strawberry” will return to its place, how tasty and tender it is.And even the smell disappears, clogged with an amazing taste, like a cockroach with a slipper. But…
it was at lunchtime, I still have to go to Sentosa, maybe talk … And from me it will carry kerosene and garlic and … (well, you get the idea). It somehow upset me and I decided
durian leave for later.

Well, that’s the purpose of the trip. During the five months of my absence, nothing had changed, all the signs were in place.

As well as a very friendly warning that you enter at your own peril and risk, and a slightly wrong move, and the farm staff will not have to feed one or two alligators for a long time.
Crocodiles and alligators again played the role of monuments to themselves, such skillfully made models, and only the movement of their tongues in their gaping mouths betrayed their breath and demonstrated,
that they are alive. True, sometimes there was still movement, but solely in order to climb on top of each other and sleep further. However, they have a sense of distance and a measure of boundaries.
As soon as I stretched out my hand with the camera a little further, so as not to get into the frame of the fence, like two, until then peacefully sleeping crocodiles, instantly opened their yellow eyes.I didn’t
curious about what will happen next and therefore removed his hand with the camera (I involuntarily remembered the cartoon about how the elephants had trunks, when it was the crocodile who stretched out his nose to the state
trunk, while for some reason the image of Michael stood before my eyes, I presented him in my place, and so that the crocodile would do with his “trunk”).
Actually, this is the main building of the farm (there are most likely living quarters and all sorts of offices, and behind it are directly working hangars, swimming pools and a store where you can buy
all kinds of products, incl.including bags, wallets, etc. The price starts from 50 syngabucks for a simple little bag.)

So, the ordered things were bought, the crocodiles were carefully examined again (I thought with horror that they would not come out when more water was poured so that they could swim).

And I went back to the metro on foot, because there it was only 700 meters. I would like to once again show the features of residential buildings, of which there are a lot: these are simple panel houses, most often
municipal property, that is, tenants – tenants from the state, as we were once before 1991.Last time I visited one of these houses, about which in detail
told. Now I will note that all such houses do not have a first floor, or rather, it is higher. And below – just empty space, the houses are on stilts. At the level
land under the building, you can organize a cafe, a parking lot, just benches for the elderly, etc. And I also note that many of the paths leading from residential complexes to public transport stops
have a roof that protects people from both precipitation and the sun.

Still, they know how to take care of people! In general, there are many things in Singapore that are permeated with concern for an ordinary person, and it does not matter if he is rich or poor.It also pleases and makes this country stand out.
in a positive way.

An Indian in rubber boots stomped past. Of course, I don’t know where he works, maybe he’s sitting in a puddle, but I would die to walk at +29 in such shoes. Better barefoot, and then wash.

Here I am again on the subway, going this time to HarbourFront – to get to Sentosa. On the information panel at the station, which indicates the waiting time until the next train, over and over again
scarecrows and horror stories about terrorism. The thought immediately suggests itself that the Singapore authorities suffer from an inferiority complex, since they have not had a single terrorist attack. With which
with relish they show footage from all similar incidents in London, Madrid, etc.! And they constantly play a video about a fictitious terrorist attack in the Singapore subway, especially amused by the fact that
the perpetrator of the terrorist is Chinese. And it certainly doesn’t look like an Islamist. What insanity must one reach, caving under the ideology of the United States and echoing their cries of terror? Moreover, this video is already a year
how it spins constantly at all metro stations…. Probably the residents have already managed to hate all the heroes of this blockbuster.

But you know what? I’m talking about what can be seen outside the train window. I will notice that the train is going! And fast! And what’s behind the windows is in the tunnel. Yes, they are such masters, they came up with an advertisement in the tunnel,
where information runs along the tape at the same speed as the train travels, and therefore you see a stationary picture.
The train does not have a driver’s cabin, it can run on full automatic, but on the right there is an acting driver, who, like, monitors the work of all systems. In the photo it is
the front of the head carriage. Between the windows – with such a huge button – this is a hinged door that can be opened with that button in the event of an accident, and it will automatically appear
a bridge for getting on the rails, and along the rails signs will light up – where to go.

Well, here is the cable car going to Sentosa from HarbourFront. On the left is a view of the strait between Sentosa and Singapore from the elevator that takes us to the cable car station. And on the right – yourself
booths and the procedure for boarding them.

Here we are again riding the rope past the disgrace that I saw last time in October 2007, when a beautiful park with alleys and fountains was demolished for the construction of the complex
hotels, casinos and an amusement park. Then it still looked doubly depressing, since they were only digging foundation pits. But now the foundation has already been laid, new contours of the embankment are already looming,
therefore, you can see that the work is in full swing, because in 2010 this complex should already be opened. And we also drove over a huge ocean liner with pools and other
services on the upper deck.

On this day, for some reason, I met a lot of Indians on Sentosa. Either they all travel on tour packages together, or they accumulate somewhere, and then they send everyone together at once, I don’t know,
but there were a lot of them, and obviously not local.Judging by their long clothes, +28 is cold for them, accustomed to the forty-degree heat. Examining the Indians, I came to a stop
a free blue line bus that takes me to the Underwater World.

Buses of the same brand run along Sentosa in the form of circular routes in three directions (yellow, red and blue lines), they can differ only in number of storeys, and double-decker
have an open top.

Once again, I regret to note that there was also a green line, which we loved very much on our first visits, but it was closed. Maybe temporarily, maybe forever.

A few simple shots from life along the way. No comments needed. It’s just moments …

The same moments from the life and work of cashiers, where they buy tickets to the “Underwater World”

Let me remind you that this attraction is a fenced off piece of a bay, in which many fish, including predatory ones, like sharks, are herded inside this resulting aquarium.
a corridor in the form of a torus (with irregular and broken bends) continues with natural water. You can walk along this corridor an unlimited number of times. There is a treadmill and there is an ordinary one
sidewalk (you can go, or you can go yourself). Before and after this corridor there are several more artificial aquariums with representatives of coral reefs.

Here is a small video clip from this attraction, hosted on the YouTube server

On the way from the aquarium to the beach, you can see a family of peacocks: a proud and deliberately alienated daddy from the family (he did his job, and that’s enough, it’s time to think where to find the girls next),
as well as the mother peacock, who is busy with the chicks, covered with a brood, whom she teaches to look for food.
There is a train along the beach that will take you quickly and free of charge to any point on the beach.
The brightest and most numerous representatives of the bird fauna on the island are the Indian starling myna and the turtledove. The first are smart and very quick-witted birds, no worse than parrots,
and so they can poke their nose wherever they go.Well, the second ones are the same pigeons, only of a smaller size, the same stupid, but wild (they don’t let you close, unlike our pigeons).
What do you think, the representatives of which country can wash their feet in a spectacular and stylish fountain, when it is 10 steps to the toilet, shower and dressing room? – Of course, they are from Russia. Absence
culture affects here too.
On the way, I came across a truck working in the beach infrastructure (I saw how workers were transported in it). The driver smiled and waved his hand (but after the shot was taken). it
is also typical for this country (for some reason, only here everyone is gloomy and angry all the time, especially at such jobs).

I went along the Siloso beach until the next one, because I like that one, there is a more pleasant coast, the water has more waves, etc.n. And just because things are already going to decline,
and I have to lie down facing the sun, and it’s easier to do there.

Earlier I showed some of the fauna of Sentosa, here is some flora 🙂

On the beach, Chinese youths were enjoying themselves in tug-of-the-rope. Again, it was very interesting to look at the locals in moments of relaxation, laughter, fun. And all
so somehow harmlessly, even joking over each other, I’ve never seen someone in a company of this kind take offense and leave, or sulk. That means a lot too. I definitely
I like Singapore more and more.

Peacocks also roamed the beach. Moreover, the males had a luxurious upper tail, but there were no females nearby, so it was useless to wait for him to dissolve it. Hindus (all of the same
that flooded Sentosa today) tried to feed something inedible, which the peacock rejected with contempt.

The Chinese have everything here.Only the glory of the Egyptian mummies is missing. Well, if not, then we’ll do it! Poor fellow, walled up in the sand, he lay there, not moving at all, probably for more than an hour, until
all sorts of organs and members were sculpted for him. I especially liked the platter in the causal place. When asked what this meant, the sculptor was embarrassed, laughed and ran away. 🙂 But actually they
did the Sea King, which later became clear upon a more detailed study.

In general, Sentosa and its beaches are a very attractive place for local children. And this is understandable. Just raising children, plus the presence in Singapore of a very small number of clubs, including
the number of nightlife, leads to the fact that children lead a correct lifestyle, do not vegetate over alcohol or other worse things in clubs, as well as computers. And they have fun
in groups on beaches, etc.
And this, in the sunlight, took a photograph taken in the aquarium (paper). It turned out kind of good.

The closer to sunset, the brighter and richer the colors. You can simply already endlessly admire the play of light and sea.

It was an amazing performance, staged by nature itself! The fast-moving clouds, pierced by the rays of the sun, directed the latter in bright beams, making flashes in the sea water
foam falling to the shore in millions of diamonds. The beams, like spotlights on a stage, skillfully snatched out the necessary moments or landscapes, filling them with brightness and richness, so that in half a minute
this landscape faded and faded, became almost black and white, and nearby a dull picture lit up with all the colors of the sunset light.

The sun, retiring, caressed and cherished everything that scorched, burned and shone whiteness during the day. He seemed to apologize for his equatorial disposition, allowing him to enjoy the already dim and
non-scorching rays that emphasize the beauty of any banal thing.

Prose intervened in poetry, and near the construction site of another hotel, we see again a family of peacocks …

But the rampage of the tropical sunset continued its magic. The disc of our luminary sank lower and lower, making itself more and more accessible for observation, more and more appeared
red tones, they changed purple, lilac, the blue of the sky fabulously set off the remaining whiteness of the clouds in some places, while the sea cooed sweetly at the feet, throwing small
waves, luring clean and warm water, it was the lullaby of nature. No words can describe it! This is a must see! Even a video camera will transmit only a small part of that extravaganza.

A little more, and the very path to the Sun will light up, along which no one can ever reach the star.

Peacocks, seeing that the beach was rapidly leaving, grew bolder, and already in groups walked along the coast, looking for something among the seaweed carried out by the sea.

In order to have time to contemplate this path, I hurriedly gathered all my things and rushed to the suspension bridge leading to the observation towers next to the monument stating that this point is the most
southern point of the Asian continent.

I barely made it… Running upstairs, urgently set up all the cameras and tripods. And straight to the point: the sun went out into the clearing between the clouds for the last time to illuminate with its red light
the outgoing day, having formed that very path in the sea, so that later, before the next day, he could leave this part of the planet.

As the head of Medusa the Gorgon, already cut off, but manages to bristle with its snakes for the last time and turn anyone into stone, so does the Sun at the last moment of this day
makes us stunned, permeates with farewell light, suggesting philosophical thoughts about the transience of time and what the future promises us, like Lensky from Eugene Onegin

Right there on the tower there is a couple in love, they just froze, looking at what nature is drawing, although they were quietly chirping about something of their own.

The sun gave its last ray, went behind the clouds piling up at the horizon, the ships turned on their lights, the sea flared up with reflections of already artificial light … That’s it, nature has gone to rest. Good,
which is only for a few hours.

The last minutes of sunset, because you know that there is no twilight in the tropics, and such shots can be filmed only in a few minutes. It will be completely dark in five minutes.

So, I wandered over to the monorail to drive back to Singapore to the hotel.

By the way, about shoes. On our first visits, we were so impressed by some formality of Singapore that we simply did not dare to walk in slippers, and even trudged to the beaches in sneakers.
But in vain. Later I noticed that if there is no need to have an appropriate dress code for work, Singaporeans wear the same flip-flops in the subway and everywhere. Therefore, I began to do exactly the same,
which greatly simplified my changing shoes before and after the beaches (washed my feet in flip flops and stomped into the transport).
As it turned out, I don’t need to buy a ticket for the monorail! Since I rode to Sentosa by cable car, I can return on the monorail for free. This is a service! That is, even
if you buy a one-way ticket, you will still be taken back, albeit free of charge.

This is already in the Vivo City shopping center, offices and ticket machines for the Sentosa monorail.

This shopping center occupies 4 floors, was built not so long ago, at about the same time as the monorail, it, like other similar places, has everything in the world for purchase.

I really liked the food department, where you can buy anything for different tastes (and how to take it with you, and then sit in a cafe). And also the kingdom of sweets: the choice is this,
that I was crazy, I was like…. and left, since it is simply impossible to stop at something!

This is a subway ticket machine. Here you can buy both one-time tickets to a specific station, and top up your EZ-Link card account, and you can top up as
by cash (minimum bill for top-up 10 Singabax), and by credit card, as well as a local NET card.
Turnstiles in the metro work like they are new in Moscow: by default they are closed, and when paying for travel, the gates move apart (we have old and still very common turnstiles by default
open, but if you poke around without payment, then they will zvezdanut, they will also scream).Since all methods of payment for travel are by means of magnetic cards, there are no slots, but only a place for attaching
cards. The display will show the remaining amount on the EZ-Link or the type of single ticket.

The stations on the purple line, operated by SBS Transit, have a similar shape: an upper lobby with ticket counters and aisles, an oval opening containing
stairs and escalators leading to the lower vestibule, which is already a platform.Such designs are very common in Southeast Asia, and I have seen this in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The metro is very well-informed, signs and boards with time until the next train can be seen not only on the platforms themselves, but also in the transitions between stations.

Our metro still has to study and study before this!

As you can see earlier, the intervals between trains can be very long, for example, 7 minutes.Even during rush hours, they do not run more often than once every 2 minutes. So sometimes
in the metro you can observe quite a decent crampedness, and when exiting at popular transfer stations, people just jump out of the cars with a bullet, trying not to be late for the next
train on another line.
I got to my native City Hall station and climb the escalator, having managed to photograph myself on the mirrored ceiling.
Some turnstiles can operate in two directions, and you can both exit through them and enter (of course, not simultaneously).

Well, here is the hotel … In the moonlight, it looks like a huge candle that will soon be lit …
and will be tomorrow …

Today was an unusually successful day, despite medical affairs, I still managed to sunbathe perfectly and see a wonderful sunset…. True, then I did not know yet what awaited me
in Bintan … But more on that later. 🙂

the elite division has nine teams, eight of which
represent Singapore and one from Brunei – DPMM. I protect her colors.

– Is the Singapore championship level comparable to the Ukrainian Premier League?

– I don’t like these comparisons. Asian football has its own specifics.

– You have scored six goals in four matches of the local championship. In Ukraine, you would be far from such an efficiency …

– It’s just that in Ukraine I played either a drawn striker or a midfielder, but here I act exclusively on the edge.

– How popular is football in Singapore?

– Here
it develops. I will not say that the stadiums are packed, but people go to football. O
fans of our team, it’s hard for me to say, because almost all
matches we played not on our field due to the fact that in Brunei
some kind of Asian football tournament.

– Does DPMM aim to become champions?

– I have not heard that they talk exclusively about the first place. The goal is the top three winners.

“I don’t know if the Ukrainians played in Singapore”

– Are there any Europeans in the championship?

– Yes. In our team, for example, I communicate more with the Northern Irishman.

– Isn’t it boring alone there?

– Let’s say
so, sadly (smiles). In general, two meals a day take a lot of time.
workout. And so, you can walk around the city, drink coffee, it’s beautiful here.

– Are you the first Ukrainian in the Singapore Championship?

– I don’t know, but at least I haven’t heard that before any of the Ukrainians played here.

– Are the teams coached by local specialists?

– Not only. For example, we have a mentor from Brazil.

– So, it is clear what style of play your team professes …

– Yes, combinational. We try to control the ball.

– Is your contract with DPMM for one season?

– Until the summer. There I have the option to renew the agreement.

“Compared to Ukraine, this is a disaster”

– How do you score your goals more often?

– In different ways, have already scored from within the penalty area, and from the penalty spot, and from the free-kick …

– Are the opponents’ defenders acting tough?

– Yes. But in
mostly to blame for the arbitrators, whose qualifications, to put it mildly,
leaves much to be desired.Sometimes, on black they say white, and this is not
isolated cases. Compared to Ukraine, this is a disaster.
