Review ysl lipstick: YSL Rouge Pur & YSL Rouge Volupté

YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipstick – When I’m Older

There are very few lipsticks that I will do a whole dedicated review for. Usually there isn’t much I can say about a lipstick. Because after all, what is there to say? Sure, you can describe the shade in as much detail as you can muster and talk about if it’s pigmented enough but that’s often it. But, in my humble opinion, YSL lipsticks always deserve their own blog post. They are just that good.

This is my third Saint Laurent lipstick (check out my other two reviews here and here) and I bought it at the height of my quarantine online shopping addiction. They were offering free shipping, free engraving, and five free samples. Y’all know how much I love the word free. And since this is the collector’s edition lipstick for the winter season, it was 30% off. How can someone pass up that deal? Maybe if you have excellent self control but that’s just not me.

This is the Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipstick ($49CAD/ $38USD) from YSL and it’s simply perfection in a lipstick.

I have last year’s collector’s edition lipstick in a bright coral shade (review here) and still to this day it’s one of my most worn lipsticks, so I knew I needed to snag this year’s LE lipstick as well. This is the shade #49 Rose Saint Germain. It looked so much darker on the website (that’s the trouble when buying lipsticks online), but I was delighted when it arrived in the mail and it was the most perfect bright, blue-toned pink. Temptalia describes it as a moderately cool-toned, medium-dark fuchsia with a natural finish which I would say is a pretty accurate description and a much better attempt at the shade interpretation than mine. And don’t you worry if you’re seeing that this lipstick is indeed sold out online, the shade is a permanent colour in the collection even if the beautiful limited edition star package is not. Thank goodness!

So, let’s also talk about the formula and why exactly YSL lipsticks are so great. The Rouge Volupté Shine Lipsticks contain hyaluronic acid to seal in moisture and prevent lips from drying out while it’s antioxidant shield of pomegranate and rice help to combat free radicals.

Candelilla wax and silicon oils coat the lips in a shiny film to really enhance the color and give that perfect wet-looking shine that somehow doesn’t smudge and stays on your lips for the better part of the day (unless you eat or drink something, then it’s game over). These are truly the only lipsticks I want to wear anymore, especially since we’re in the middle of a pandemic and a matte lipstick just seems like more trouble than it’s worth if nobody is going to see it underneath your mask.

Oh, and I probably should mention that I took advantage of YSL’s free engraving services and engraved When I’m Older on my lipstick. How cute is that?

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Collector Oil-in-Stick Review

Product Description

These days, lipsticks come in so many different formulations that it’s hard to keep track, but the general trend is towards a more matted lipstick. Yves Saint Laurent goes the opposite route with the Rouge Volupté Shine Collector Oil-in-Stick. As the name implies, this lipstick is essentially a tinted oil that acts a little bit like a lip stain. This lipstick comes in an absolutely stunning range of 49 colors—mostly nudes, reds and pinks—that may flatter so many different skin tones. As one is applying this product to the lips, they will notice how smoothly it goes on, almost like butter melting on the lips. As mentioned, it doesn’t dry down to a matte, but rather, a luxurious satin, making lips look and feel healthy. Its main stain-like property is how well is stays on the lips without to much transfer, especially if properly blotted following initial application. This being an Yves Saint Laurent product, the price tag is expected, but is still a little bit of a bummer. The oil-reliant formulation of the product also makes it feel a little bit heavy on the lips, especially if not blotted properly, and if the product does wear off, it may feel a little dry and patchy in spots. But otherwise, if you’re looking for a more luxurious lipstick for your collection, this would be a great product to consider.

Beautiful range of colors

Silky smooth application

Luscious satin finish

Quite heavy on the lips

Slightly drying

For years now, Yves Saint Laurent has taken the luxury beauty world by storm. After making a name for itself in fashion, it developed its own line of luxurious beauty products that uplift the fashion house’s aesthetic. The Rouge Volupté Shine Collector Oil-in-Stick is a good exemplification of this extension of the brand. Featuring a wide range of beautiful colors, the product also applies so, so smoothly, and presents beautifully on the lips. If you’re in the market for a new lipstick that embodies luxury, this one is a great product to consider.

SUITABLE FOR: All skin types.

theNotice – YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 01 Le Rouge | A red lipstick review (with swatches!) to start wrapping up the year

The product: Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture SPF 15 in

01 Le Rouge

This Rouge Pur Couture–a miniature in the L’Oreal Luxe Loose Button Advent Calendar earlier this year–is my first YSL lipstick… but I have a feeling it won’t be my last. Fantastically “holiday,” Le Rouge is such a stellar shade for a really bold, attention-grabbing red, and the formula is absolutely divine.

The wear: With a physical SPF of 15, the Rouge Pur Couture formula wears smoothly and comfortably

, even on my stubborn lips. I fidget constantly (rubbing my lips together, pursing them, etc.) but it does absolutely nothing to the gorgeously even, opaque colour distribution  even after some time, the colour doesn’t bleed, slide around, or settle into fine lines or dry flakes.

These lipsticks do have a very distinct fragrance, but honestly, it’s pretty alright. I tend to hate fragranced lip products, but the floral, ever-so-slightly-fruity scent is a far cry from the waxy, fig-based odours that saturate the lipstick market.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick swatches – 01 Le Rouge

The shade and finish: The Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks are described as having a luminous satin texture, which is a fairly apt description. The finish is just this side of matte, shimmer-free (at least in Le Rouge) and very plush without being glossy.

When worn sparingly, Le Rouge reads as a matte pink-red stain; again, with great colour distribution and wear. When worn full-on, though, the finish is more supple and moisturizing — think satin, not gloss. Le Rouge is very well-pigmented, with full colour in just one swipe, and a good red/blue balance.

Wearing Le Rouge

YSL describes the shade a “blood red,” but I like to think of it as an “optimistic red.” It’s definitely wearable on both warm and cool complexions, as well as olive colouring and against both fair and dark skintones.

Le Rouge does have a respectable bit of blue in it, but it has this great vividness that feels a little  too strawberry to be a cool colour. It really does pull both ways depending on your colouring, so don’t shy away from it just because it wears well on a skintone other than yours!

(See it on Pink Sith, Tacky Blue Eyeshadow, and calivintage.

The verdict?

At $32 USD/$38 CAD for a full-sized tube, the Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks are certainly a luxury — but such a worthwhile splurge. Le Rouge is a stunning rendition of the textbook “holiday” red, and for the gorgeous wear, I’m putting some serious thought into finding a more natural shade in the line.

Find it at Sephora & Nordstrom online. I know this one will be too attention-grabbing of a shade for most of you (I’m a little self-conscious of it right now, and I’m alone at my laptop!), but formula is honestly in my

top five three for wearability and colour distribution. You need this!

My Review of YSL Slim Glow Matte Lipstick

I asbolutely love the formula of these lipsticks. The texture is smooth and creamy and glides on to the lips. The colour pay off is super satisfying. Matte Glow gives a luminous matte finish which is very flattering and I find it really enhances the look of volume and fullness.

The shape of the bullet makes them so easy to apply. You can line, define and fill in really quickly for the perfect soft, pillowy pout with glowing colour. And all of the shades really do glow, in a soft, diffused way.

207 Illegal Rosey Nude

Once applied, the YSL Slim Glow Matte Lipstick stays feeling really comfortable and hydrating on the lips. The colour is longlasting, and as time goes on, it fades evenly without any flaking or patchiness. Even after swatching all the shades on my lips, they felt moisturising and smoothing.

Yves Saint Laurent | *NEW* Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick & Tatouage Couture The Metallics Matte Stain: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links and the products featured were provided for review.
Yves Saint Laurent is well-loved for its gorgeous and luxurious lip products and for Fall 2018, the brand is adding a couple of new items to its lineup. I’ve got reviews and swatches of the Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick ($44 CAD) and the Tatouage Couture The Metallics Matte Stain ($44 CAD) to share today. So to read on, click……

Yves Saint Laurent | Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick in “21 Rouge Paradoxe” ($44 CAD for 2.2 g):
Housed in a slim and chic black and gold case, the Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Matte Lipstick features a square bullet intended for a neat and clean application. Available in 16 bold colors, the lipstick features an ultra-matte, super pigmented formulation.21 Rouge Paradoxe” is a stunning deep red. The shade looks warm in my swatches below but in person, it has more of a cool undertone. Now because the formulation is super pigmented and matte, the color tugged and skipped quite a bit during application. The square shape, which is designed to make the application more breezy, actually made things super challenging.
Lipsticks have been teardrop-shaped for decades so there’s clearly a good reason for it. I rarely use lip brushes nowadays but in order to get a presentable finish, I had to apply this one with a lip brush. Overall The Slim Matte Lipstick packaging looks super cool and sleek but it makes application very difficult. The formulation is definitely on the dryer side but in combination with the intense pigmentation, the wear is very impressive. The shade “21 Rouge Paradoxe” is definitely a winner here and despite the less than perfect packaging, I would still recommend checking in out in person because my swatches don’t do justice.
Yves Saint Laurent | Tatouage Couture The Metallics Liquid Matte Lip Stain in “103 Tribal Copper” ($44 CAD for 2.2 g):
I’ve heard lots of great things about the YSL Tatouge Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stains but I’ve not tried any shades from the original lineup so this new metallic shade was my foray into the collection. Housed in a frosted tube paired with the signature black and gold cap, The Metallics Matte Stain features a special spatula-like applicator that actually works really well at evenly and smoothly distributing the product. The new metallic lineup is available in 7 shades and I have here “103 Tribal Copper“, a soft metallic bronze with a warm gold sheen. The product applies like a smooth liquid lipstick and it sets quickly to a true matte finish that’s lightweight and surprisingly hydrating.
However, the finish is not dry to the touch, even after a good ten minutes. Therefore, the metallic pigments will transfer during eating and drinking and as you can see from my swatches below, minor patchiness will appear if you press your lips together, causing little bits of color to transfer between the upper and lower lip. Additionally, at least with the shade “103 Tribal Copper“, there was zero staining so I’m not sure why this is called a lip stain. Overall, my feelings for the Metallic Tatouage Couture is a bit mixed. On one hand, I love the true matte finish, the unique metallic effect, and the lightweight, hydrating wear. On the other hand, however, the product does not settle completely so the finish is prone to transferring and patching.

YSL is available online and in stores at Sephora, The Bay, Nordstrom, and Holt Renfrew.

1、YSL Rouge Pur Couture  Lipstick #1 Le Rouge review & swatch

£24 + 3.3%

YSL Le Rouge #1 lipstick is a medium red with neutral-to-cool undertones and a natural sheen. The color is more of a true red but with a tinge of warmth – not pinky red, orangey red or brownish red. Nothing. The perfect red that not only gives that glam pout but also brightens up your face.

It has semi-opaque color coverage that applied evenly across the lips.  The texture, feels like silk on the lips, moisturizes, doesn’t accentuate flakes, applies evenly and precisely. It feels very creamy on lips. Neither does it it accentuate the fine lines nor dry out my lips on my lips. The pigmentation is awesome. The stain stays on for good 8 hours but the lipstick’s true color stays for around 4 hours.

YSL #9 Rose Stiletto lipstick is described as a ‘rich berry rose’.  This shade is a lovely medium rose shade. It’s feminine, elegant and pretty. It get the right amount of pigment without being too dark, vivid or soft.

This lipstick is so moisturizing even it doesn’t say anything about moisture, and the color is gorgeous! It suits for pale, cool-neutral skin and It looks vibrant on most lips.

Rose Stiletto is a perfect everyday shade for fall and winter. You can wear day and night and it’s also matching really nice with many different makeup styles.  Rose Stiletto lasts about four hours, fading evenly and leaving behind a light stain that lasts another hour or so.

4、YSL Rouge Pur Couture # 70  Le Nu review & swatch

£24 + 3.3%

YSL Le Nu 70  is described as a“basic nude.” It’s a light-medium, rosy beige with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The formula is semi opaque. This shade suits light to medium skin tones.

The formula has satin finish and feels very comfortable on the lips. It’s hydrating and does not accentuate any dry patches. The staying power is around 3 to 4 hours on lips. Fades evenly and leaves a pretty stain behind which won’t leave your lips looking flat.

5、YSL Rouge Pur Couture # 52 Rosy Coral review & swatch

$38.50+ 8% cashback@strawberrynet

YSL Rouge Rose 52 is a bright, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a cream finish. This is your typical true coral shade and  it give an opaque finish almost instantly. It feels ultra moisturising and a little bit glossy on the lips!

It would be perfect for spring and summer days. I think this shade will suit fair to medium skin tones. You alao can mix this with other shades or wearing it as a stain. It does fade evenly and leaves a lovely stain behind. The staying power is 3 to 4 hours on lips.

6、YSL Rouge Pur Couture # 90 Prime Beige review & swatch

$38.50+ 8% cashback @strawberrynet

YSL # 90 Prime Beige lipstick is a medium, dusty pink with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips in a single, fluid stroke. The texture was lightweight, creamy with moderate slip, but it didn’t feel too heavy or thick on my lips, so it was comfortable to wear.

This formula is quite emollient and has a lot of slip.  It almost applies itself as it glides quickly across the lips, though I sometimes found it too emollient and too slippery. That extra slip meant that some shades isn’t as pigmented as anticipated or that color gathered in my lip lines. The wear ranged from four to six hours on average and feel hydrating while worn.

7、YSL Rouge Pur Couture #72 Rouge Vinyle review & swatch

$38.50 + 8% cashback @strawberrynet

72 Rouge Vinyles an iconic and luxurious lipstick. It’s a deep reddish brown shade, it’s deep but it’s bright and beautiful.  It is incredibly pigmented, giving the lips an intense and beautiful color that lasts all day. It’s a satin lipstick and feels very comfortable on the lips. It does not accentuate dry spots or even settle on the fine lines of the lips.

Due to its creamy spot structure, it cannot survive after meals. This lipstick fades evenly and leaves stains. The residence time is 5 to 6 hours.

We tried this trending lip shade

The MLBB (my lips but better) trend hasn’t really gone away; it’s evident when Yves Saint Laurent Beaute’s Rouge Volupte Shine in 121 Beige Satin trended on RED (or Xiao Hong Shu), a Chinese social media platform similar to Instagram.

RED users shared about how much they love this lipstick shade.

RED users raved about the lipstick’s gorgeous but wearable shade and have made followers on the platform go out and buy this lipstick in hordes.

This is a hydrating lipstick with a balm-like texture that promises to deliver conditioning benefits and high shine. A medium-coverage lipstick, this is made with 65% essential oils and provide a sheer pop of colour and all-day comfort.

There’s also skincare benefits to using this – the brand says that your lips will look healthier and more nourished after four weeks of continuous application.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick Balm review – 121 Beige Satin

121 Beige Satin is trending on social media platforms because of how it is universally flattering and its sheer, wearable shade makes it easy for any lipstick newbie to get on board with it. Its hydrating texture is also one of the things that users raved about.

But is it really as good as the reviews say and will it work on different skin tones of people in Singapore? The Daily Vanity team puts the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick Balm 121 Beige Satin to the test so you can also find out how it looks on different people.

Usual foundation brand/shade:

  • Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation in B20
  • Gucci Beauty Natural Finish Fluid Foundation in 170W

I saw firsthand how beautiful this shade turned out on my colleagues, and I really, really, really wanted to like it too. But, right off the bat when I came up close and personal with the brown-toned lipstick in my hand, I had an inkling that it may not suit my skin tone at all as my go-to neutral lipstick has to be slightly rosy pink-tinged in order to make me look alive. While the lippie colour seemed to have morphed a little into different hues on my colleagues, it remained brown on my lips which made me look unflatteringly pale.

It could be due to the reason that my natural lip colour is quite dull and slightly darkened, to begin with, so the gorgeous colour didn’t turn out so well on my lips. That said, I loved how comfortable it was to wear the lipstick and I only needed one to two layers to coat the entire lip.

In terms of colour longevity, it’s certainly not the lippie’s strength but I think nothing really stays put as well as matte lipsticks. It transferred to my cup when I chugged down water, and it also didn’t leave my straw untouched when I sipped on lime juice. When I wiped my lips with a tissue after a meal, most of the colour came off my lips. Translation: Re-application is definitely needed if you’re wearing this lipstick.

Usual foundation brand/shade:

  • Sisleÿa Le Teint in 1B Ivory
  • Nudestix Nudies Tinted Blur Stick in Light 3

I loved how the shade looked on Kristen (our editorial director) and was hoping it would look as great on me too! While it wasn’t what I was expecting, I do love the way the colour looks on my lips. It gives that beachy glow – slightly bronzed but fresh and pinks up the lips. I used it on my cheeks for a little pop of shimmer, and loved how it looked! Coupled together, I like that I looked fresh and radiant.

The only downsides are the pigmentation and lasting power. Because my lips are a little darker, I realised that I could still distinctly see my lip line – but nothing a little lip liner beneath couldn’t solve! Although a little bit of the product did settle on some dry skin, my dehydrated lips still also loved the formula. So be sure to exfoliate beforehand. It also doesn’t last long since it is more of a lacquer than a matte lip, so I wouldn’t wear this if I needed something more smudge-proof. But otherwise, I would use this often!

Usual foundation brand and shade:

  • Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 Foundation in 2N1 Desert Beige
  • Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation in 40NN

Like my fellow colleagues, I was a little apprehensive about trying this brown-toned lippie when I first caught a glimpse of its bullet. Brown-toned lip shades have never looked great against my skin tone – most of them seemed to drain the life from my face.

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I swiped on a layer of this balmy lipstick. The smooth, creamy texture glided on effortlessly and melted instantly on my lips. On me, the shade took on a flattering, rosy hue that pulled my look together – another MLBB shade to add to my collection. The lipstick also has a yummy, fruity scent that isn’t overwhelming, which enhanced the entire experience for me.

It wore comfortably on my lips and kept them nourished and moisturised for the rest of the day. If you’re looking for a lipstick that stays put for hours on end, however, you’d probably want to give this a miss. Since it isn’t a matte lippie with a longwear formula, it transfers on everything it touches. It doesn’t leave much of a stain too. When I got home from work, the colour had practically disappeared, but my lips were still incredibly hydrated.

Usual foundation brand/shade:

  • Clinique Even Better™ Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in WN44
  • Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation in 20CP

To be honest, I was quite surprised at how well this shade turned out on my lips! Initially, I wasn’t very keen on it upon opening up the (very gorgeous) lipstick tube and seeing that it was brown. I’ve always avoided brown lipsticks because they have looked so unflattering on me!

Upon applying it, however, the colour turned out to look more like a reddish-brown hue on me. The lipstick was smooth, creamy, and despite its matte finish, it felt so soft, almost satin-like on my lips.

I put it to the test as I headed out to dinner – while some of the lipstick transferred onto the mask, most of it stayed on my lips! I would say it’s not a problem if you wear disposable masks but if you’ve got reusable ones, it’ll take you some time to get the stain off.

By the end of dinner, most of the lipstick was gone from my lips. While this lipstick’s selling point may not be its staying power, the colour payoff and comfortable wear is just what I look for in a lippie – of course, the uber-flattering shade is a huge incentive.

Usual foundation brand/shade:

  • Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation in #3
  • Laneige Neo Cushion_Glow in 21N Beige

Using this lipstick was like opening a surprise box for all of us. Gwen told me it looked reddish on her but on Lynnett, it was browner. On me, it was very close to my original lip colour, so it essentially accentuates my lips and makes the tone look more even. The high-shine that it comes with also helps plump up my lips a little.

Besides the wearable and very flattering colour, what I really love about this lipstick is how hydrating it feels. The balm texture glides on easily on the lips and keeps my dry lips smooth and soft for hours – I’d actually skip my lip balm on days when I wear this.

The only complaint, however, (similar to what my colleagues have shared) is that it transfers easily. Especially with our current mask-wear lifestyle, you’ll definitely need constant touch-ups and if you’re the kind who gets irritated by makeup stains on your mask, you’re not going to like it. But if you, like me, don’t mind a bit of cleaning for the sake of a hydrating lippie with a gorgeous colour, then you’d be happy to live with some inconvenience.

90,000 YSL will release a smart lipstick in the form of the Rouge Sur Mesure gadget

Last year, the beauty conglomerate L’Oréal introduced a small device Perso, with which you can create your own shades of lipstick or foundation. Yesterday it became known that the first “smart” lipstick will appear at one of the luxury brands L’Oréal Yves Saint Laurent this year. She was named Rouge Sur Mesure (“Red to order”).

The Perso system, which took five years to develop in the L’Oréal technology incubator, consists of a mobile app and a handheld hardware device. The app-driven device is a small, compact unit with color cartridges. By mixing them, you can create a wide variety of shades with the YSL Velvet Cream Matte Finish.

Users have several ways to create lipstick: they can choose a ready-made shade from the palette, mix their own or choose a suitable option for clothes or lip color using a special algorithm. The gadget produces a one-time dose, but the removable top allows users to take it with them to touch up their makeup throughout the day.Rouge Sur Mesure includes two basic cartridges. Additional sets of three colors will cost around $ 100. The company estimates that each cartridge contains the same amount of product as one liquid lipstick.

Lips are one of the most sensual parts on a woman’s face, which is why the fair sex every now and then choose various means that emphasize them favorably and make them more desirable.Today, lipstick is not just a necessity for a woman, it is a whole beauty ritual that allows ladies to feel more confident and attractive. Next, you will learn about a wide variety of lipsticks from the collections of the world famous French brand Yves Saint Laurent , which produces luxury products.

Origin history

It is rather difficult to describe the entire history of the famous brand Yves Saint Laurent in a nutshell, because in the process of its development there were many key moments that literally turned the usual ideas about fashion and beauty.

Yves Saint Laurent , like many other manufacturers of beauty products, appeared in Paris in the 1960s. Its founders are the legendary Yves Saint Laurent, who is heard by every lady who has heard at least something about fashion, as well as his partner Pierre Berger.

Initially, the brand specialized in the production of luxury clothing, later the legendary fragrances for women and men, which are popular today, and, of course, the line of decorative cosmetics began to appear.

The first lipstick with Couture shades was launched in 1978 and since then has become a real icon of female beauty.

For more than fifty years, the brand’s products have been chosen by world-respected personalities, politicians and businessmen, fashion gurus and celebrities. Also, ordinary people can touch French luxury, because cosmetic products are presented in many chain cosmetic stores around the world. Of course, prices may “bite” a little, but the quality will definitely justify itself. In addition, no one forbids buying products with large discounts, which can be regularly found in cosmetic stores.

Decorative cosmetics from the brand Yves Saint Laurent is the use of the latest technologies in the creation of certain products and the use of a limitless palette of feelings, into which the creators of the brand literally put their souls. The brand’s international makeup artist is the talented Lloyd Simmonds, who oversees the creation and release of each cosmetic collection.

I would also like to note that the basis of the entire style of the brand is, first of all, love for a woman and her beauty, as well as a thirst for life, which is revealed not only in energetic and bright collections of clothes, but also in cosmetics. And finally, the third component that characterizes the brand is the spirit of rebellion, which helps women to look exactly the way they want.

The palette of shades

All lipsticks Yves Saint Laurent are presented in a huge range of colors, among which you will definitely find the shade you need. Lipsticks are available in matte and glossy versions, lipstick-balm is supplemented with special microparticles, thanks to which natural overflows will be visible on the lips, which do not look pretentious at all.

Lipsticks are also presented in a wide range of shades, among which you can find very bright, like neon shades, as well as classic nude. Be sure to take a look at lip varnishes from the series “VAL Vinyl Cream” . The line of lipsticks is presented in 12 luscious shades that will complement any of your look.

How to distinguish an original from a fake

I would like to note right away that it is very important to purchase luxury products in verified and certified stores, which are the official representatives of the brand, as well as in boutiques Yves Saint Laurent .And then you will not have unnecessary questions about the authenticity of a particular product.

A copy is always visible, only sophisticated forgeries can not be distinguished at first glance. The copy is distinguished from the original by the “cheapness” of the bottle, crooked and uneven inscriptions stand out, incorrectly glued labels, which will quickly be erased. And there is no point in talking about the filling, no one knows what the replica is actually made of and what kind of allergy you can get from it. In addition, copies most often have an unpleasant repulsive scent.

Let the original cost more, but it is better to purchase one quality product than one from which there may be unpredictable consequences.

How to use it correctly

If you decide to purchase a regular matte or glossy lipstick, be sure to choose a pencil of the same shade for a sharper outline of the contour.Any lipstick from Yves Saint Laurent can be applied in one or more layers, depending on what result and shade you want to get.

The same applies to lip varnish, but, according to experts, a pencil is not required for it, but if you want to be on the safe side, then why not. Apply a small amount to the sponges and let dry, add another layer if necessary.

Representatives of the fair sex of all ages choose decorative products from the brand. Ladies love the luxurious shades that can be found in matte and glossy options, bright, juicy and neon – the very thing for a summer party. For the winter, women choose muted nude shades that make lips soft and expressive, as well as nourish and care for them.

All ladies confirm that the declared care and nutrition is really there. Even after using matte options, the sponges do not dry out and do not need additional use of balm.

Constantly updated collections and fashionable novelties cannot but rejoice.Young girls consider blusher blush to be their must-have, which is very convenient to carry and use at the right time. In addition, such a versatile piece allows you to create the perfect doll makeup with a luxurious combination of colors.

It is noted that all lip products from the brand are made “in moderation” and tasteful. There is nothing superfluous in them – you will not find obtrusive sparkles or oily sheen after application.

Whether to buy or not is up to you, but such a famous and proven brand over the years is unlikely to disappoint you. Of course, the prices are high, but many women prefer to wait for discounts and buy their favorite products at a lower price.

90,000 New lipsticks YSL ROUGE VOLUPTE SHINE OIL-IN-STICK: review

It would be more correct to say that 12 new shades have appeared in the Yves Saint Laurent ROUGE VOLUPTE SHINE lipstick series.

All of them are divided into three groups – day, evening, weekend. But you, of course, understand that this is conditional (because we are in diamonds for breakfast too – easily, especially the brighter lipstick – in the afternoon).

Surprisingly, this is my first time trying this series, although I really love the YSL lip products. I was stopped by the shape of the tip – it is not very convenient for me to draw the shape of the lips like that. But all the same, lipstick fell into my hands. I would like to note what a beautiful design they have – with this openwork insert on the package.

Let’s just call all the points “not very”, and then move on to the pluses. I don’t really like strong perfume. True, it is felt only at the time of application. The texture of the lipstick is soft and oily, and the hydration is declared, but with a brown tint it seemed to me that it was not that dry, but not always comfortable. Moreover, the condition of the lips changes every day, today it is drier, tomorrow it is normal.

But the main plus is a special palette of shades, which is typical for YSL.These are, as a rule, pure beautiful colors without a shimmer, shades of a certain spectrum, I don’t even know what it is called correctly.

Of the three colors, I especially liked # 49 – bright pink fuchsia. (Actually, fuchsia is just YSL’s signature color).

Shade # 47 appears brown in the tube but gives a beautiful pinkish beige natural color on the lips.

The brightest, almost neon coral is lipstick # 41 (unfortunately, neon is poorly conveyed in the photo).

Lipstick gives an average color in terms of saturation, and, it seems to me, if there are peels, it will emphasize. The coating is obtained with a wet sheen. Over time, it disappears, just pigment remains on the lips.

Have you looked at these updated YSL lipsticks yet? How do you feel about this tip shape?

  • Life is wonderful: Moisturizing lipstick Volupté Tint-In-Balm from Yves Saint Laurent – review, review, swatch / Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-In-Balm lipstick

My acquaintance with the brand Yves Saint Laurent is not particularly close, but it just so happens that one of my favorite products is produced by this particular company. The All Hours Concealer, which I bought for the third time in a row in the past year and a half, without even wanting to try anything else, made me think about trying lip products as well. Therefore, on the eve of summer, I pampered myself with YSL’s Volupté Tint-In-Balm moisturizing lipstick, expecting no less amazing results than from my favorite concealer. Today I suggest you read about whether my expectations were met.

The lipstick, dressed in a heavy metal case with the company logo, was bought by me in the shade Dream Me Nude , from the name of which it was already clear that this is a nude shade that does not particularly attract attention. It was just that I didn’t know that so much)).

In addition to the fact that I trust the YSL brand to mask my bruises under the eyes, I also really love lipsticks with a gel center. That is why my choice fell on a specific variety of lipsticks from YSL, which also cost about 7 euros less than my favorite Dior Addict hydrogel lipsticks.

However, there was one significant difference between them: while Dior lipsticks have a moisturizing component in the center, YSL lipsticks have a pigment in the center that enhances the shade of the lipstick. The shade of the lipstick itself is a beautiful pinkish-beige nude, but the pigment from the center of the stick slightly adds a “pinkish” color.

Although in general, this shade is generally hardly noticeable on the lips, even if applied in 2-3 layers.

Immediately I was a little upset that it was almost invisible, because I already have a similar one, and I expected at least a little color from this lipstick. But gradually this particular shade became the most frequently used for me, because can be applied without even looking in the mirror, and perfectly moisturizes lips.

This lipstick is easy to apply, almost imperceptible on the lips, but has a tendency to roll into a white strip after 1.5 – 2 hours after application, so you have to frequently update it. Also, I am not impressed by her annoying candy smell, which, however, does not repel my family members, who insist that it is quite pleasant to itself. Therefore, about the smell – this is my personal subjective opinion.

In general, this lipstick has proved to be a good moisturizing and nourishing lip balm with a light shade, so I apply it myself, under a matte lipstick to moisturize my lips, on a matte lipstick to give a light shine, and quickly consume it.However, next time I will still prefer to buy my favorite hydrogel lipstick from Dior, because I like its properties and aroma better.

A large selection of Yves Saint Laurent brand products is presented on the website 90,000 YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Liquid Lipstick 7 Nu Interdit Review

YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Liquid Lipstick 7 Nu Interdit

Today I want to share my impressions of one of my favorite liquid matte lipsticks YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Liquid Lipstick in shade 7 Nu Interdit

The line of liquid matte lipsticks YSL Tatouage Couture turned out to be very successful, I have several shades, but my favorite is the nude shade 7 Nu Interdit.

The packaging is simple and stylish, and the rigid tapered applicator is convenient for drawing a clear outline. You don’t need a lip liner with it.

The lipstick formula has a light texture: in the composition in the first place water, then oils and silicones, so that the lipstick glides on the lips, enveloping them in the lightest veil. At the same time, the pigmentation is very high and in one layer the natural shade of the lips is evenly and completely covered.

Feels very comfortable – I don’t feel YSL Tatouage Couture on my lips during the day. No dryness or tightness of the lips, as happens with matte lipsticks. By the way, I cannot call the finish matte in the full sense of this term, it is, rather, satin. Does not accentuate flaking, looks very natural.

Shade 7 Nu Interdit is a nude shade of dusty rose. Does not bleach, looks very natural. For this I love.

The durability is good, the lipstick does not flow out of the contour and does not clog into the folds of the lips. Light undershot will transfer, come off evenly. After a whole day in wear, the lips do not become dry and this is a big plus.

Summary: If you love shades of nude and a beautiful satin finish on the lips, take a look at YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Liquid Lipstick 7 Nu Interdit

Where to buy: in all corners of the brand in chain cosmetic stores, TSUM and GUM

    Price: 3300 rub (without discounts)

Lipsticks: MAC vs YSL – Shopaholic Diary – LiveJournal

Today I will be reviewing two lipsticks from different manufacturers and price class.I want to say right away that YSL lipstick was purchased for the first time, before that I only read praise, and this is my first experience with YSL. I had only one MAC lipstick, and then it ended a long time ago, but I remember for a long time. 🙂
I just never paid much attention to lipsticks, I applied only balm to my lips and gloss on top (without sparkles and gloss), in order to somehow give my deathly pale lips a touch of life.

So, in this post I will talk about:

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Perle Impetuous Beige
    MAC Amplified Fast Play

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Perle – Impetuous 9000 Beige

As I wrote above, after reading the laudatory reviews about YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks, I decided to try it myself.Only when I approached the YSL booth, a vague-looking consultant flew up to me and began to sniff me literally everything that was there. I just like to silently watch everything myself, try, I hate it when they stand above my heart or worse, trying to sniff something. I immediately said that I came specifically for the lipstick, she immediately started asking about the shade, etc. Well, I said that I want a matte lipstick without a shimmer, pink or nude shade. She looked at me as if I spoke Chinese with her, and began to sniff lipsticks with mother-of-pearl to me.Let me explain to her that I want without sparkles, and she give me “oh, well, right now, it’s fashionable” and blah blah blah. In general, I gently told her that I would do without her, she snorted and proudly left for the cash register. To be honest, I am amazed at who is not hired as a consultant, and in a suite.

Well, okay, after smearing all the shades on my hand, I stopped at Impetuous Beige , the shade looked great on the hand, exactly what I wanted.

The texture of the lipstick is very delicate, straight creamy, melts bouvially on the lips.I came home with joy and decided to test it.
To say that she disappointed me is to say nothing. No, I certainly read that these lipsticks are “capricious”, and it is bad to lay on dry lips, but that is SO bad – I did not expect. Of course, my lips peel off due to frost, but I regularly use balm, and before applying lipstick, I did not have a single peeling on my lips.
As soon as I began to apply lipstick, it immediately began to clog in … I don’t know what to call it :))) lip wrinkles? Well, in general, it became pieces to go to bed. It felt like I was covering my lips with some kind of putty: the texture was becoming too liquid for lipstick, I certainly understand the type of “moisturizing”, but not so much! Well, okay, I think, I’ll try with a brush or fingers – nifiga, lipstick completely refused to behave well
Only if, after blotting her lips with a napkin and practically wiping the lipstick off her lips, she began to lie more or less normally. But that shouldn’t be the case with normal lipsticks, right? 🙂

Lips Nude and with lipstick, almost completely wiping it off with a napkin

In general, I am wildly disappointed with lipstick YSL, that with balm, that it’s terrible to stay without it.It is a pity that I threw 30 euros into the trash. Why just do lipstick, if you need to wipe it with a napkin, then with your finger, then just wash it off, because it looks just wretched? Well, I don’t know. € 30 for a case with YSL lettering?

    MAC Amplified Fast Play

Disappointed with YSL, the next day I decided to cheer myself up with MAC lipstick. Well, here I will just “gasp” and “groan” with joy. 🙂 The shade is just super-Fast Play, suitable for both evening and daytime make-up. Absolutely matte, and at the same time does not dry the lips, perfectly moisturizes them, and is not at all sticky. Can be applied with or without balm – it fits perfectly.

    On the lips

In the dark and under electric light, the color looks darker, more juicy and bold. 🙂 I also liked the fact that it lasts long enough and is not eaten at a time. I will buy more other shades. Even if the lips are dry or flaky, the lipstick is perfect!

Thank you all for your attention.
