My company conducts seminars.Each workshop is three days long and each contains several PowerPoint presentations each day.
Our hosts have minimal technical knowledge. When they present, they use a very simple remote control that can transmit and advance slides or switch to a black screen. That’s all.
When they finish their first presentation, they don’t want to go to their laptop, close the show, and open the next one. This should go smoothly.And so it went on for many years. Older versions of PowerPoint had a “Package for CD” option that collected all presentations in one folder (along with any embedded audio and video files — there are many of them). The folder will also contain the EXE from PowerPoint Viewer and a .BAT file containing the filenames of all the shows. So all we have to do is run the BAT file and each PPT file will play in sequence.
However, PPT 2010 no longer links multiple files together.I tried to come up with a BAT file that causes the PPT exe to start and then lists each file with a command line switch to run in a slideshow. And it works … sometimes. And then sometimes it comes up with a “can’t read file” error.
In a nutshell – we need a way to run a series of PPT files in a slideshow so that one file opens and then the next opens at the end of the file, without having to press any buttons or touch the laptop.
This is the text of the BAT file I created and which works intermittently:

I have not tested this yet. I am assuming this ppt thing is ignoring your 2nd and 3rd params. The docs didn’t say anything about processing more than one file in the arg list.

- Under New Slides , click Reuse Slides , select a presentation.
To keep the formatting:
- Create a new master slider anywhere in your presentation.
- Save the presentation design template from which you want to transfer slides.
- Select the transferred slides and go to the design section – search for the saved design template.
