If you’re keen to do both, join a full-day tour! An experienced guide will take you around Pulau Ubin’s forests and mangroves for the day, with all rental costs included.

50 Fun And Cheap Date Ideas Below $20

Your job is wearing you down, children take up lot of your time, and there’s only that much time for household chores… if all this means that you and your spouse are unable to give each other undivided attention even for a few select moments a day, then it may be time to schedule in date nights (or days, as the case may be).

“Date night means spending time and giving undivided attention to each other, regardless of what time of the day it is,” according to Enneagram Relationship Coach, Cindy Leong of Relationship Studio. This encompasses even small gestures such as kissing each other goodnight and greeting each other with a kiss in the morning – “falling asleep together as a couple has been a top habit that has ensured the success of many marriages,” says Cindy.

10 Celeb Bromances We Can’t Get Enough Of

“Married couples should always have date nights because it will be even harder to do so when the kids come along. If there was no habit of having date nights when there were no kids, it will be even harder to build such a habit when the kids have arrived,” says Cindy.

“When a couple sets up such a habit of having date nights, they are actually telling their partner that they are a priority to them and it’s great that couples can once again rediscover why they love each other in the first place, without the distractions of work and family responsibilities. “

And the best part is that these don’t have to be elaborate or necessarily break the bank – keep the expensive diamonds and chartered flights for more once in a lifetime events, if you must.

Keep things fun and fresh during your dates with these date ideas. The best part? They’re all below $20 or totally free.

Lovers can look forward to strolling through the island’s nature trails and mangroves, or set up a picnic by the beach to the lulling sound of the waves, while enjoying heart-to-heart conversations.

Pro Tip: Do bring your own food and water to the island, as there are no food vendors on St John’s Island.

Getting there: Take the ferry from Marina South Pier. First Ferry from Marina South Pier: 10am on weekdays, 9am on weekends.

2. Pulau Ubin

Escape the bustle of the city with your partner on the island sanctuary of Pulau Ubin.

The perfect place for nature-loving couples to unwind, this island is home to diverse landscapes to explore, from old kampongs (villages) and granite quarries to lush tropical forests and abundant wildlife.

Couples with a mutual love for exploration should rent a tandem bicycle and discover the island together— the numerous cycling trails around Pulau Ubin lend themselves to adventures off the beaten path.

Do remember to pack sunscreen if you’re setting aside a full day to explore the island’s myriad charms. Gentlemen may want to bring a small umbrella to shield their significant others from the sun (and show off their chivalrous side).

Getting there: Take a ten-minute bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal (S$3 for a one-way trip).

3. Seletar Aerospace Park

Another hidden gem for an idyllic escape, Seletar Aerospace Park houses restaurants flanked by lush greenery, making it the perfect spot for a quiet getaway.

This locale was once home to an Ex-British Royal Air Force Station—a fact that you may want to mention to impress your date. The space is home to 32 colonial bungalows, making it a great area to stroll through for history buffs with an interest in 19th century history.

Diehard romantics looking to travel back in time can visit The Summer House Dining Room, a colonial-themed restaurant perched on the second floor of one of these bungalows. Alternatively, you may want to book a seat at the Summerhouse Garden Domes—set amidst lush greenery, these romantic spaces are ideal for a romantic evening beneath the stars

Alternatively, pay a visit to Wheeler’s Estate for a more laid-back date night. Located on an open lawn and illuminated by fairy lights after dark, this enchanting locale offers opportunities for both picnicking and live music.

Sights to stir the heart

4. Henderson Waves

Nothing spells romance more than the soaring sights atop Henderson Waves—an iconic pedestrian bridge suspended 36 meters above the ground.

Illuminated with dim ambient light and nestled within Singapore’s forest greenery, this locale is best visited at dusk, with its bird’s eye view of our sun-drenched city scape.

When you’re done marvelling at the sunset, take a 10 min walk to Faber Peak and surprise your partner with an alfresco dinner overlooking Harbourfront’s skyline at restaurants like Dusk or Arbora.

Getting there: Take the MRT to Redhill, then Bus 145 for 7 Stops (10mins) to ‘Bef Telok Blangah Hts’. You’ll see a stairway leading up to Henderson Waves.

5. Marina Barrage

Home to one of the best sunset spots in Singapore, Marina Barrage is perfect for lovebirds to unwind after a day of shopping and indulging in the sights of our city centre.

Overlooking the Marina Bay skyline and just a short jaunt away from both Marina Bay Sands® and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, this beautiful space offers ample opportunity to enjoy kite-flying, games of frisbee and bouts of people-watching.

For a quiet evening out, pack some local hawker delights and ice-cold sugarcane juice from Satay by the Bay, and take a 5 minute-walk to Marina Barrage for a hearty picnic.

Daily 24hrs.

Satay by the Bay. 18 Marina Gardens Drive #01-19, Singapore 018953.

6. Gardens by the Bay

You could buy a bouquet of flowers for your sweetheart, but we believe that a visit to Gardens by the Bay is an equally romantic alternative. Spread across 249 acres, this urban garden space is a medley of stunning architecture and beautiful flora.

We recommend walking arm-in-arm through the Flower Dome, where you’ll be able to explore the world’s largest glass greenhouse, while immersing yourselves in the Mediterranean flowers on display. You may not be able to pluck the blossoms, but the memories won’t wither and are bound to last a lifetime.

If you’re visiting in the evening, be sure to catch the Supertree Light Show—a dazzling medley of light and sound—or stroll along the boardwalk of the Dragonfly Lake.

(b) one of the following locations is outside the state in which the parties have their place of business:

(i) seat of arbitration, if specified in, or pursuant to, the arbitration agreement;

(b) any place where a significant part of the obligations of a commercial relationship must be fulfilled, or a place with which the subject of the dispute is most closely related; or

(c) the parties expressly agree that the subject of the arbitration agreement concerns more than one country. “

Moreover, Section 5 (3) defines what should be considered as a place of business, as a place of closest relation to arbitration:

Section 5 (3) […]

For the purposes of subsection (2 ) –

(a) if the party has more than one place of business, the place of business must be the one most closely related to the arbitration agreement;

(b) if there is no place for business at the party, the reference to his place of business shall be construed as a reference to his usual place of residence. “

The main difference between the two legal regimes lies in the level of court intervention – in international arbitrations, court intervention is rather limited and the court does not have the power to file an application unless expressly provided for by law. The recourse to the award is also limited. Otherwise, in domestic arbitrations, pursuant to Section 49 of the Arbitration Act, a party may appeal on a right arising from an award in proceedings . “Moreover, in accordance with section 45 of the Arbitration Act, the Parties may also bring a lawsuit to determine any question of law arising in the course of arbitration that materially affects the rights of the parties.

Regarding the place and language of arbitration, Neither the International arbitration, nor does the Arbitration Law provide for a default mechanism to determine the place or language of arbitration. ultimately, it is the arbitral tribunal that has discretion to determine these procedural issues.

With regard to arbitration of disputes, subject arbitration is not specifically addressed in the Arbitration Act. In general, any dispute is arbitration, unless arbitration of such dispute is contrary to Singapore’s public policy or can be settled by arbitration. Non-arbitration disputes, usually with elements of public interest, which include, for example, citizenship, legality of marriage, trade union disputes, patents, company liquidations, etc. With regard to international arbitration, the International Arbitration Act only provides that the subject matter must arise from commercial relationships “However, what is” commercial Not defined, although a footnote to article 1 of the Model Law can be used as a guide.What disputes are considered non-arbitration has also been developed by the court practice of the courts. For example, the Singapore Court of Appeal ruled that claims against an insolvent company are not subject to arbitration when the fundamental rights of creditors are affected ( See Larsen Oil and Gas Limited at Petroprod, LLC [2011] 3 SLR 414 ).

Parties are also free to choose to or institutional arbitration. The main local arbitration institution is the Singapore International Arbitration Center (ICIA), which is one of the leading international arbitration institutions in Asia and the world.SIAC administers arbitration in accordance with its own set of rules, the most recent version being the SIAC 2016 Rules. SIAC also administers arbitration in accordance with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and, in exceptional circumstances, with the rules of other institutions.

Regarding the enforcement of awards for both domestic and foreign awards, applications are always filed with the High Court and must be filed within 6 months from the date the award was issued. Regarding the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, Singapore has signed the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards (“New York Convention ”) since August 21, 1986, the procedure set out in the New York Convention applies.However, it should be noted that Singapore has made a reciprocity clause as set out in Article (3) of the New York Convention, which is also set out in Part III of the International Arbitration Act.

Regarding the setting aside of arbitral awards, pursuant to section 48 of the Arbitration Act and section 34 (1) and (2) of the Model Law, a party seeking to set aside an award must prove that:

(a) if the party, having applied to the court with a request to cancel the decision, will prove the satisfaction of the court,

(i) the party to the arbitration agreement was incapacitated;

(b) the arbitration agreement is void under the laws to which the parties were subject, or not indicated under the laws of Singapore;

(III) the party filing the application was not duly notified of the appointment of an arbitrator or of the arbitration or was otherwise unable to present its case;

(IV) the award concerns a dispute that is not considered or does not fall under the conditions for filing with arbitration, or contains decisions on issues beyond the scope of submission to arbitration, In addition, if decisions on issues referred to arbitration may be separated from those that have not been submitted, only that part of the decision that contains decisions on issues not submitted to arbitration can be canceled;

(v) The composition of the arbitral tribunal or the arbitration process is inconsistent with the agreement of the parties, if such agreement does not conflict with any provisions of this Law, from which the parties cannot derogate, or, in the absence of such an agreement, is contrary to the provisions of this Law;

(we) the manufacture of the award was caused or affected by fraud or corruption;

(VII) the violation of the rules of natural justice occurred in connection with a decision by which the rights of any party were infringed; or

(b) if the court finds that

(i) the subject matter of the dispute cannot be settled by arbitration in accordance with this Law; or

(b) the award is contrary to public policy. “

An application for cancellation cannot be filed after three months from the date on which the submitting party received the award ( see Section 48 (3) Arbitration Act and First Schedule, Section 34 (3) of the Model Law).

Finally, since November 1968, Singapore is a party to the International Convention for the Settlement of Investment Disputes between States and Citizens of Other States, Washington 1965 (“ ICSID Convention ”). Singapore is also a party to a number of free trade agreements (“ FTA “) and other comprehensive economic cooperation agreements with a number of its major trading partners such as China, India, Korea and Japan.Singapore is also a member of ASEAN and the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, with its own dispute settlement mechanism. By appointment, no investment arbitration is known involving Singapore as a contesting party. However, Singapore has served as the venue for several ICSID arbitrations and other investment agreement disputes.

US State Department warned Americans about the threat of terrorist attacks in Europe

The US State Department has issued a terrorist attack warning to Americans visiting Europe this summer. “The large number of tourists visiting Europe during the summer months could become targets for terrorists planning attacks in public places, especially at major events,” the State Department said in a statement.Among the events that may be attacked by terrorists, the State Department names the European Football Championship in France and the World Youth Day, which will be held from July 26 to 31 in Krakow, Poland. The event is expected to bring together up to 2.5 million participants.

“The stadiums, fan zones and unrelated venues broadcasting the tournament in France and elsewhere in Europe are potential targets for terrorists, just like other large-scale sporting events and crowded places in Europe,” the American Foreign Policy said. department.

The State Department recommended that citizens be vigilant, avoid crowded places, follow the instructions of the authorities of the host country, and monitor information in local media. The warning will be valid until August 31, 2016.

Recall that in the French capital Paris on the night of November 14, 2015, about 130 people became victims of a series of coordinated terrorist attacks, more than 200 were injured.The Stade de France stadium, the Bataclan theater and one of the Parisian restaurants were attacked. These attacks were the largest in the number of victims in the history of France. On March 22, 2016, two explosions took place at the airport in Brussels. Later, three explosions also occurred in the subway. The explosions at the airport were considered a terrorist attack. As a result, 32 people died, and about 340 were injured.

In Brussels on April 22, a commission of the Belgian parliament began its work to investigate the preparation of terrorist attacks. The details of the tragedy are also being investigated by the police and the media.According to the Belgian tabloid Derniere heure, the terrorists who committed the explosions at Brussels Zaventem airport were heading to the check-in counters for flights flying to Russia, Israel and the United States.

90,000 “Crimson infection”: the US is preparing to take our Ministry of Health under its control – Articles – Politics

The coronavirus crisis in Russia continues.According to the data voiced in recent days by the operational headquarters, the number of people infected with COVID-19 in our country in one day tends to 40 thousand. Worse, the infection kills more than a thousand Russians every day. And there is no end to this nightmare.

Unlike the Russian Federation, the situation in the West is not so dangerous. They talk cautiously about the light at the end of the tunnel. Thus, the number of new cases and deaths from covid in the United States has been steadily declining since the beginning of September. In the UK, for example, 36,567 new cases of the disease are reported per day on October 25, which is comparable to our statistics, and only 38 deaths.In general, countries with zero or near-zero tolerance for the disease, including the persecution of antivirals and the de facto compulsory nature of vaccinations, are best coping with the pandemic.

WHO is not hysterical as before, although it predicts geopolitical shifts in the provision of medical care in the near future. The organization’s official website said in a statement October 26 that “for every 100 people in high-income countries, 133 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, while in low-income countries only 4 doses were administered per 100 human”.

It is also reported that the G20 summit, which will be held in Rome from October 29 to 31, will first gather the ministers of health and finance, and then the heads of state and government. In the capital of Italy, not without the participation of the United States, an international program will be announced “for the transition from health care of one country to the economy of health for all mankind.” Everything seems to be correct, but the WHO separately notes that the G-20 participants will be bred with money that someone will “purposefully and effectively” manage.

The main topic of the G20 discussion is: “Managing public and private finances by regulating the operation and financing of private health markets through measures that attract and channel private finance towards global and equitable improvement in health outcomes.”

In fact, we are talking about a possible transfer of power over the national Ministries of Health from governments to a certain WHO Council and the World Bank interested in this issue.It worked with the so-called deep world government with a “green revolution” and with the introduction of taxes on emissions – apparently, it will work here in the field of health.

It’s a good thing: after all, a covid pandemic is no less a threat to humanity than a warming climate. In short, the WHO sends a signal that it is necessary to fight together and under the control of a single center. It is clear that our officials will not be admitted to the Council. After all, they did not even cope with the epidemic inside the country, in short, mediocrity.Look, the British die at the same rate of infection thirty times fewer citizens. What is true is true, you can’t argue here.

On the other hand, it seems that everything is going according to some pre-developed plan, the purpose of which is precisely to create a supranational body, which will obey, albeit not immediately, all the Ministry of Health, including the Russian one. The English-language Chinese newspaper South China Morning Post drew attention to the report published on September 19, 2019, vol.That is, three months before the discovery of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which caused the COVID-19 disease. It’s called “The Whole World is in Danger” and has a picture of a coronavirus on the front page that no one has ever heard of.

This document begins: “As an independent monitoring and advocacy body, the Global Preparedness Monitoring Council (GPMB) urges political action to prepare for and mitigate the impact of global health emergencies.Created in May 2018 by the World Bank Group and the World Health Organization, the Council builds on the work of the Task Force and the Global Health Crises Group. ”

That is, there has not been a pandemic yet, and the GPMB Council, ostensibly to fight the global infection under the auspices of the interested World Bank, was created. The failed Ebola epidemic was named as the reason for its appearance.

“There is a very real threat that a rapidly multiplying and very deadly respiratory pathogen will start a pandemic, kill tens of millions and wipe out trillions of dollars in the global economy,” says GPMB’s World At Risk Report.It already then listed all the steps that were later implemented or are now being implemented with the ultimate goal of creating a strong WHO with more resources and mandates, as well as a collective funding mechanism.

The South China Morning Post recalled that the United States immediately blamed China for the emergence of covid back in January 2020, while Beijing said that Washington was politicizing science. Now, if the GPMB Council had the necessary powers, the culprit would quickly be identified.In any case, such a conclusion suggests itself.

Now we should turn to the numbers. Even before the first publications on the Wuhan variant of the coronavirus, the GPMB predicted that 50 to 80 million people would die and almost 5% of the global economy would be destroyed. Today, about 5 million have officially become victims of covid, but given the low (practically no) vaccination in third world countries, the declared death rates may well be achieved. The fact is that the coronavirus mutates and reduces the effectiveness of already created vaccinations.

Particularly striking is the prediction of the danger of anti-axes men. “Trust in institutions is breaking down. Governments, academics, the media, public health, health systems and healthcare workers in many countries are facing declining public confidence that threatens their ability to function effectively, ”says the September 2019 World At Risk report. “The situation is exacerbated by misinformation, which can quickly and widely through social media obstruct the spread of disease control messages.”

Thus, the experts of the GPMB, or rather the World Bank behind them, named in advance the main reasons for the low rates of vaccination against covid even before the infection appeared. Actually, thanks to this, the United States and the EU are ahead of the Russian Federation on the way to achieving intermediate herd immunity. They knew exactly how events would develop and, in fact, were not almond-shaped in this matter.

But that’s not all: from January to August 2019, the Yankees conducted a large-scale exercise “Crimson Plague”, in which both the federal government and the authorities of 12 states participated.According to the scenario, the epidemic that originated in China affected 110 million Americans and led to the death of 560 thousand people. This is hardly a coincidence.

If all these facts are summed up, a very bad picture emerges.
