These Are the Best Journals

Having a favorite notebook is even dorkier than having a favorite pen. It’s a pile of paper that you write on. But the subtleties and special features really affect your workflow. A hardcover Moleskine adds some class to your note-taking, but it’s a terrible choice if you like to rip out pages when you’re done with them. Here are the Lifehacker staff’s favorite notebooks and why we love them.

Virginia K. Smith, Managing Editor:

I have a ruled, classic Moleskine in red, which I love. It’s cheery and eye-catching and makes me a little more inclined to use it than when I’ve had black notebooks. Sturdy, fits in my bag, gets the job done.

Michelle Woo, Parenting Editor:

A notebook should be 1) small enough to fit into my fanny pack so I can bring it with me on walks, 2) flexible but not flimsy, 3) gridded, and 4) inexpensive. The MUJI brand 5mm grid A5-size notebook fits that criteria.

Nick Douglas, Staff Writer:

Perforation, perforation, perforation! Once I’ve digitized a page of writing, I want to trash it. The top-spiral ruled Rhodia is about half-letter-sized, big enough for extended writing but small enough to carry all day. I can flip the pages all the way back, so the notebook sits flat and only takes up the space of one page.

Beth Skwarecki, Health Editor:

Leuchtturm1917 makes the best hardcover notebooks. The pages are pre-numbered, and there is a blank table of contents. They come equipped with TWO ribbon bookmarks, a rubber band closure, a back pocket, and some sticky labels you can put on the spine and cover when you archive them to your bookshelf. I use the medium (A5) size, with dotted paper if I think the mood to bullet journal may strike me, lined or grid otherwise.

Choosing a color is tough, but I recommend thinking about your personality and hopes and dreams while you pick up each one in a bookstore. You can’t ask for help, you have to make this decision with your heart. Mine so far have been Berry, Azure, Ice Blue, and Lemon.

Joel Kahn, Senior Video Producer:

I don’t really know the name for my notebook (since it was swag that I took from a work event several years ago), but here are the key features: the cover is very hard cardboard, which makes it almost like a clipboard. Easy to write on anywhere! Basically a built-in table! Also the spiral is small in proportion to the paper, so you can easily write on the reverse side without losing half the page space to make room for your hand. This seems to be the closest approximation.

Meghan Walbert, Contributing Writer:

I use a standard bullet journal, along with an assortment of pens, stickers and tapes to fancy it up. I use it as both a weekly/monthly planner, as well as a place to keep to-do lists, longterm goal-tracking and reminders. With an orange cover, cuz orange is cheerful.

David Murphy, Tech Editor:

A simple Moleskine—lined, so my writing doesn’t look like I’m trying to compose a ransom letter or something.

Heather Hass, Creative Producer:

I will use anything to write words. Probably because I like writing (aesthetically) so most of my notes are a little…useless but pretty! For drawing I’m a little pickier: I prefer the tooth of a Moleskine to any sketchbook.

Melissa Kirsch, Editor-in-Chief:

It used to be you had to go to Europe to get a good notebook, and by “good notebook” I mean one that didn’t wasn’t wide rule, blue lines on white paper, ho-hum. My peak notebook experience involved a saddle-stapled number I picked up in Rome that had a brown cardboard cover (way pre-Field Notes) and graph paper inside, the grid of which was brown and it had this subtle brown gradient on each page. Trust me, it was amazing.

Since then I’ve searched high and low for something that equals the fun of that weird Roman notebook, and the best I’ve found is the Grids & Guides notebook from Princeton Architectural Press. The cover is a solid cloth-covered cardboard with an embossed grid pattern creating a nice hand feel. Inside, every page has a different pleasing grid or dot or pattern layout. Little charts and diagrams on random pages scattered throughout act as a palate cleanser: Before you take another note, why not check out these cute little drawings of different kinds of knots? It’s a good notebook!

Claire Lower, Food Editor:

I currently am using four different notebooks, but my favorite is this clipboard situation from Paper Tigre. I do most of my recipe sketching and development on these sheets, which I can then rip off and file (or toss) as needed. Plus setting a clipboard down in a wet spot is less disastrous than setting a notebook down in a wet spot.

Travelers Notebook Sizes

All the following sizes are available in the shop (some size limitations are based on insert designs – see the description for each listing for more information):

—– Travelers Notebook —–
– Extra Wide / A5 (8. 3 inches tall x 5.8 inches wide)
– Wide (8.25 inches tall x 5 inches wide)
– Standard / Regular (8.25 inches tall x 4.3 inches wide)

– Pocket / Field Notes (5.5 inches tall x 3.5 inches wide)
– Passport (4.9 inches tall x 3.5 inches wide)
– Mini / Extra Small / Micro (4 inches tall x 2.75 inches wide)

A5 Slim Size

If you are interested in the A5 Slim size, I would recommend the Wide size option from the shop. The A5 Slim size is listed as 8.3″ x 4.9″ and the traditional Wide size is 8.25″ x 5″. Since the sizes are very close (0.05″ x 0.1″ difference), it would be a great option. When placing an order for the A5 Slim size, if you need it cut exactly at 8.3″ x 4.9″, please leave a note at checkout.

Alternative Cover Options

If you are purchasing a notebook with Tomoe River, Strathmore, Shiraoi, Onion Skin or any other custom papers and would like an alternative cover added to the notebook instead of the kraft brown or black options, please order the specialty paper notebook and leave a note at checkout which cover you would like me to use from the shop. Please note not all covers are available in the largest size (Extra Wide / A5) when placing your cover request.

Square Corners (No Corner Rounding) on Notebooks

If you are looking for square corners (no corner rounding), I can exclude the corner rounding after cutting the notebooks. Please leave a note at checkout that you want square corners on your notebooks.

The 10 Best Pocket Notebooks

Small enough to go anywhere you go, the best pocket notebooks will have a durable cover and enough pages to meet your writing needs. Which one will be your perfect fit will depend on the size of your pockets (or bag) and how you plan to use it, whether for school, for sketching, or even just as an everyday diary.

What constitutes as “pocket-size” can vary greatly, however, for reference, the average jeans pocket is 6 to 9 inches tall. The most common mini-notebooks you’ll find, however, are roughly the size of a 3 by 5-inch index card

Even though they’re more compact, you’ll still get standard paper options — including ruled, unlined, dotted — though consider paper quality if you have a specific writing tool in mind. Some thinner options will bleed onto the following page if you’re using a gel or fountain pen, while heavier stock can even handle markers without leaking. For those more eco-minded, also consider a reusable or refillable model.

In addition to the classic hardcover journals, there are other, more flexible options that are just as durable, keeping your pint-size pad pristine as you take on the go. Pliable plastic or card stock will be the most affordable, but it can be worth spending a little more on a waterproof cover that can see you through spilled coffee. Also consider your personal style, as you’ll find everything from kraft paper to easy-to-spot colorful prints.

Whether you’re an avid list-maker or bullet-journal pro, the best pocket notebooks have got your back.

This Waterproof Pocket Notebook With More Than 9,000 Amazon Reviews

More than 7,700 Amazon reviewers, including medics, nature photographers, and hikers gave this weatherproof notebook a perfect five-star rating with one commenting, “I use this pad every day, rain or shine. It will not dog-ear or fall apart. I have had the same pad in my back pocket for two years, still in good shape.” The spiral-bound pad comes in nine colors and its flexible cover is incredibly tough — it’s made from a polydura plastic material, which is typically used for durable outdoor signage. Its pages are equally sturdy and will repel rain, sweat, grease, and mud. They’re also tear-proof, as one reviewer confirmed, “My kids have tried to rip the pages out and I’ve even had juice spilled on it and still no damage.” Given its special water-repellent properties, water-based inks, like those in gel pens, will bead off the paper. Similarly, ballpoint pens won’t work as well when the sheets are wet (though are fine for dry pages). A #2 pencil, or the brand’s own clicker pens will work equally well in any condition, including below-freezing temperatures.

  • Size: 3 x 5 inches
  • Page count: 100
  • Page style: ruled

2

A Refillable Leather-Bound Pocket Journal

The cover of this passport-sized refillable journal is crafted from tanned crazy horse leather, which is commonly used for making saddles, giving it the same durability and longevity. With your purchase, you’ll get three, 60-page booklets that are bound to the cover via elastic bands that are easy to reconfigure once you’re ready for refills. Though it’s slightly larger than most pocket journals, it’s still easy to take on the go and the option to swap in new pads makes it especially versatile. The craftsmanship is excellent, and as one reviewer wrote, “just holding it in my hands makes me swoon.” Shoppers also loved the thick, acid-free paper, with some even confirming that they used fountain pens with minimal feathering and bleed-through to the other side.

  • Size: 4 x 5.1 inches
  • Page count: 180
  • Page style: blank (refills available in ruled and dotted)

3

This Mini Version Of A Classic Spiral Notebook

Like its bigger sibling that’s a collegiate favorite, this Five Star notebook has a water-resistant, flexible cover and perforated pages that are easy to tear out. It also has the highest page count of all the picks on this list, and though that may make it a bit too bulky to fit in some pockets, it’s still small enough to throw into a purse or backpack without taking up too much space.

The spiral binding is super user-friendly, as one reviewer wrote, “The covers and the coiled spine are sturdy and the books open flat for unimpeded written entries.” The pages are bleed-resistant, though you might get some ghosting from overly enthusiastic scribbles. One drawback is that you won’t get to select the color of your notebook, but for such a low price, it’s a great deal.

  • Size: 3.5 x 5.5 inches
  • Page count: 200
  • Page style: ruled

4

A Trio Of Vintage-Inspired Notebooks

These soft, kraft-paper-covered Field Notes notebooks are lightweight and, as one reviewer gushed, “just the right size to fit in my back pocket, and just the right number of pages that I don’t feel the thickness.” They’re made with quality synthetic paper that left reviewers impressed, with one mentioning that there was no bleed-through, even using a Sharpie marker. With an overall 4.8-star rating after more than 2,200 shoppers weighed in, it’s a popular option on Amazon, and one that many pointed out is excellent to pair with a Fisher Space Pen, which lets you write in almost any conditions and any angle. Field Notes also makes a waterproof version of their memo books, that’s just as lightweight and convenient. And a clever version for left-handed writers.

  • Size: 3.5 x 5.5 inches
  • Page count: 48 (each notebook)
  • Page style: ruled (also available in graph or blank)

5

A Set Of Notebooks In Vibrant Prints

Writing in one of these cheerful, colorful notebooks would be pure joy, even if it’s a list of chores. Each set includes five different patterns, and the brand has additional prints, like one with a mix of tropical and gold prints, or ikat designs, neon colors, and Monet reproductions. The soft covers are water-resistant and though the designs are what steal the show, reviewers were also impressed with the paper’s quality, which works especially well with ballpoint pens.

  • Size: 3.5 x 5.5 inches
  • Page count: 48 (each notebook)
  • Page style: ruled

6

This 20-Pack Of Mini Bright Notebooks

Another great option if want to get an assortment of colors in one, big batch, these Hygloss notebooks are one of the smaller picks on this list, however just note the page count is more minimal, too. With your purchase, you’ll get 20 books in ten bright colors, with covers made of sturdy card stock. The white bond paper pages are thick enough for pens and crayons, and one reviewer wrote ” I was shocked at the great quality of the paper. You can use a micron pen with no bleed thru!”

  • Size: 2.75 x 4.25 inches
  • Page count: 24 (each notebook)
  • Page style: blank

7

A Duo Of The Tiniest Notebooks From Moleskin

The smallest of all the picks on this list, these Moleskine Volant journals have the quality paper and craftsmanship the brand is known for, only in a pint-size package. The perforated pages are easy to tear out and the softcover has a faux-leather finish that’s wear-resistant, as one reviewer wrote, “the perfect size to bury in your back pocket and seem to be holding up to quite a bit of abuse being sat on and dropped and tossed every day.” The creamy pages can be scribbled using a ballpoint pen, fountain pen, or pencil without bleed-through. Choose from five different sets, each including two hues.

  • Size: 2.5 x 4 inches
  • Page count: 56 (each notebook)
  • Page style: ruled (also comes in blank)

8

A Reusable Option That Syncs Your Scribbles With An App

The pages of this Rocketbook smart notebook are made from specially-treated synthetic paper that can be wiped clean with a damp washcloth (provided) and used over and over again — the catch is you’ll need to write with the included Pilot Frixion pen, though you can also buy other ink colors and even compatible markers. Apart from being reusable, this mighty little pad can also be synched with the Rocketbook app, so you can take a photo of a page, and instantly upload your notes to Dropbox, your email, Evernote, and more. Not only does the app send the image of the page, but it also has text recognition, which according to one reviewer, “made my life much easier.” The notebook comes in nine colors and boasts more than 5,000 five-star ratings.

  • Size: 3.5 x 5.5 inches
  • Page count: 32
  • Page style: dotted

9

These Pocket-Sized Composition Books With A Cool, Retro Vibe

With a similar marbled cover as the original kind, this pack of 30 small composition books will make you feel nostalgic for your elementary school days. Unlike the full-sized ones, these have soft, flexible covers and lay flat when opened. Each set comes with six notebooks in five colors, so you can color-code them for different purposes or classes. It’s a great deal, at less than $1 per notebook, and the pages can withstand some heavy writing with minimal ghosting and bleed-through.

  • Size: 3.25 x 4.5 inches
  • Page count: 120 (each notebook)
  • Page style: ruled

10

These Faux-Leather Sketch Books With Heavy Stock Paper

The heavy paper stock of this pocket sketchbook makes them great for using markers, pastels, and heavier inks. Crafty reviewers agree, with one artist writing that the paper “accepts pen, colored pencil, pencil, permanent marker, [and] drafting pens with no bleed through.” Each one has a back pocket for additional papers or cards, and a bookmark to hold your place, as well as an elastic band to close it tight. And the faux-leather cover is durable but flexible and you can choose from 10+ colors.

  • Size: 3 x 4 inches
  • Page count: 160
  • Page style: blank (also available in ruled, dot, or black)

Low Minimums & Excellent Work

If you have ever been part of a business meeting or conference, then you know how important it is to have some way of taking notes. Using dozens of post-it notes can become a disorganized mess, and you may not have access to a laptop or tablet to take notes electronically.

This is the reason why so many people still trust the tried and true method of using a notepad to take needed notes. They are portable and reusable for multiple meetings. When you enter a room with a pad in hand, it also shows those you are meeting with shows you are prepared and ready to do business. You may have an outline prepared for a presentation or to take notes during a discussion. Either way, a notepad is a valuable tool for any business.

As mentioned, notepads can be reusable. One downside to that, as tearing out used pages can leave unsightly fragments of pages when you remove them. Perforated notepads fix this problem, as the perforation allows for neat removal of unwanted or used pages from the pad.

Your business can take advantage of custom perforated notepads in various ways. Your team can use them during day-to-day operations and instilling pride and unity in your brand. You can also have them ready for clients and business partners who may have come unprepared or as an excellent giveaway for them to take with them. Custom perforated notepads are also great giveaways for conventions and tradeshows.

You have several options when it comes to designing your custom perforated notepad. You may go with a traditional notepad with your logo or name at the top of the pad. Either choose between a basic cardboard backing or make it a bit more versatile with magnetic support that can hang from a wall or refrigerator. Another option is to create the notepad in a spiral notebook or composition book with perforations.

If you want to customize your perforated notepads to the next level, you can put designs or your logo on each page. This tactic can be a great way to remind clients of your business every time they use their notepad. You can choose full-color images to stand out or a more minimalist design if you are on a budget. As a business owner, you already know how important branding can be, no matter your budget.

Branded stationery works great to get your name out to clients and for your team’s regular operations. Branding can instill team pride and be affordable advertising your business every time someone uses your custom perforated notepads.

When it comes to creating custom perforated notepads, Printex is one of the best in the business. Our team can take your design or logo and create the perfect pads for you. Printex has been serving the Brooklyn area for years. Whether you are a small business or a larger company, we can provide the service and pricing that fits your needs.

Let Printex help you take your business stationery to the next
level.

Perforated Paper – What is Perforated Paper

Perforated paper is a sheet of paper or card stock that has perforated lines of very small holes punched into the paper.
This perforation allows parts of the sheet to be separated simply by folding and tearing along the dotted line. We offer two kinds of perforation:

  • Micro perforation contains 30 perforations per inch. It is normally used for separating items on a sheet.
  • Macro perforation, also called stub perforation, contains 12 perforations per inch. It is sturdier and can withstand more handling than the micro perforation. It is used for detachable stubs on tickets.

Here’s an example of a 4 columns, 2 rows perforation layout with (optional) horizontal stub perforations across all pieces.
With the 8.5″ x 11″ stock, it gives you 8 easily separable tickets from each sheet, each ticket sized 5.5″ x 2.125″, with a 1.5″ tear-away stub.

We can perforate paper or card stock in any size or type of paper with any number of perforations placed exactly where you want them on the page. Here are your options:

Perforatedpaper.com offers custom perforated paper and perforated card stock at the lowest mass production prices. Our perforated papers can be used for tickets,
certificates, business forms, labels, and printing of all kinds. In addition to perforated paper, we also offer a selection of pre-punched paper of popular specifications.

Need to print on your perforated paper? We have you covered!
With more than 15 years of experience printing on state of the art digital presses, we can save you
time and ensure great quality if you let Perforated Paper handle printing for you.

How Can I Deal with Ripped Holes in Notebooking Pages? – Notebooking Fairy

There are no images.

Today’s post is inspired by a comment on my lens Science Notebooking:

Q: Question

Hi, I just came across your site and LOVE it! I have been doing notebooks for years and I appreciate your freebies and ideas! My problem right now is this…I love to use a 3 ring binder but the darn pages rip and fall out (especially for my messy kiddos). I have been using composition notebooks. They work okay, but I’m looking for the perfect solution.

So the problem at hand is pages that tear out of three ring binders. I’m going to answer this one with a video. A text post follows for those of you who would prefer to read rather than watch.

Three ring binders are, by far, my favorite type of notebook even though we do use other types. But it is true that pages can easily rip out of them.

A: Answer

There are four methods for reinforcing pages so that the holes don’t rip. (These methods also work for holes that have already ripped.)

1. Use High Quality Paper

We tend to use a fair amount of cardstock in our notebooks. It can hold up to a lot more pressure than normal notebook paper. And by the way, copy paper is going to be thicker than notebook paper. I try to buy the heaviest weight paper when I’m shopping. It does cost more, but it feels nicer and holds up far longer than cheaper paper. Maybe changing the weight of the paper you use will be a solution.

2. Page Protectors

The easiest solution is to use page protectors. Because they are plastic, they rarely rip from the binder. Stick with the better quality ones, in other words, slightly more expensive ones, for best results. Page protectors give a uniform appearance to your notebooks and make them look really classy.

But there are some cons t0 using page protectors. First, they do cost money that you may want to spend. In addition, they make your notebooks thicker, so you may need even larger binders than before. Also, page protectors ruin any interactive features you may have in your notebooking pages. Let’s say you have  minibooks pasted on or brochures that open. Obviously, you can’t access those with a page protector in use.

But bottom line, page protectors prevent pages’ ripping out.

3. Stick on Hole Reinforcers

We keep these on hand because we are avid notebookers. The do work, especially when a single hole has been torn through. But it is hard to find reinforcers that actually stick! A lot of them come loose and do no good at all. So to be honest, these are not the best option.

4. Patch With Tape

This last method may not look great, but it works. You can use tape — masking tape, clear tape, patterned duct tape — along the margin of the paper. Holes punched in the taped area are not likely to rip through.

As a caution, you need to know that this solution may gum up your hole punch depending on the tape you use.

We reserve this method mainly for pages that have ripped through on two or three holes and need major help with staying together.

So those are the four ways we deal with pages that rip out of three ring binders. Do you have any other suggestions? I’d love to hear them in a comment here on this post.

90,000 Ideal diary – what should it look like?

Today the stationery market offers a huge selection of products, including diaries. In this regard, very often the problem arises of choosing a suitable notebook for keeping records. This article will cover some tips to help you make the right decision.

First of all, you need to decide whether you need a diary at all. Oddly enough, many people use it off-label, filling pages with important events. But the diary is intended specifically for entries not only by day, but also by hour. If this is not required, it is best to turn your attention to hardcover notebooks. Clearly delineated fields allow for convenient and comfortable recording.

It is best to purchase a date planner at the beginning of the new year. However, for many consumers, the working year begins with the first month of autumn, this primarily concerns teachers and students. In this case, it is better to purchase an undated diary, where the dates are put down with your own hand.

In addition, when choosing a diary, it is worth deciding on its size. Manufacturers offer similar products designed for various consumers, both businessmen and students, as well as housewives and freelancers. The most optimal size is the A5 format, namely 15×21 centimeters. Such a diary will allow you to conveniently organize and plan your work schedule and free time. Basically, there are 352 pages in the diary, of which 324 sheets are presented in the main block, 28 pages are a book of phone numbers and addresses, well, 10 pages offer additional reference information in the form of a calendar for several years, international and long distance telephone codes, world time, clothing sizes and others. Women are better off focusing on smaller diaries, namely the A6 format, that is, 10 by 15 cm. Such a diary will fit into any purse.

Desktop planning is suitable for office work. In expanded form, the user is offered the entire upcoming week. Such a diary has a special fastening on a spring or on a double euro-spiral. The second option will cost a little more, but it also looks more presentable. There is also a pocket planig, which is an indispensable item for teachers and students. It has a small size and few pages, so it can easily fit into a trouser or jacket pocket.

After the choice has been made in favor of the desired format, attention should be paid to the quality of the product. After all, such a diary will have to serve as intended for a whole year. Some domestic manufacturers offer their products at a very low cost. However, low prices affect the corresponding quality. Cheap diaries are accompanied by thin paper that is unpleasant to the touch. The ink on the sheets will blur and the writing will show through on the back. Therefore, paper should be chosen white and thick. Also, when choosing, it is worth clarifying what type of fastening is used for the production of a paper block. To prevent the sheets from falling out when using the diary, it is better to choose not a maple block, but a sewn one. Naturally, such diaries do not win at the price, however, they give their user a guarantee that all sheets will be saved in a notebook during a year of operation. Diaries from imported manufacturers are of first-class design and excellent quality. However, not all of them are adapted for the Russian buyer.

The cost of the diary is greatly influenced by its cover. The most economical binding is considered to be the hard version of the bumvinyl. Such products do not exceed $ 3 by their cost. In most cases, the cover is presented in strict classic colors. Matte laminate is more expensive. These covers are offered in vibrant colors. A matte surface is considered more attractive than a glossy one, and there are no fingerprints on it.Also, for the covers for the diaries, a special foreign material was developed – balacron, which is offered in a huge number of textures. It can be smooth, grainy, crocodile-like, or snakeskin. Most often, balacron is used in conjunction with foam rubber. Therefore, such a cover is pleasant and soft to the touch. Leatherette covers have a spectacular appearance, however, and are much more expensive. Decorative line decorations are often used on the covers. Modern leatherette, which is used to design covers for diaries, has a high quality and attractive appearance, so it becomes an excellent option for annual use. This gives you a reason to think about whether it is worth purchasing a diary with a real leather cover?

Each diary contains additional elements that provide convenient use of the diary. This concerns a practical bookmark (lassa), thanks to which you can quickly open the desired page. Of particular note are the perforated corners, the trendy elements of a modern notebook. But, as practice shows, they are not effective, since after some time of use they will give the diary a sloppy look.

For those leading an active lifestyle, business organizers are provided, which offer not only a diary, but also a number of additional sections with a telephone and address book. On the cover of such a diary there are special compartments for placing pens, business cards and other trifles in them. The ring mount will make it possible to easily remove unnecessary sheets or swap them.

Where to buy stylish diaries?

Undated diary ErichKrause® Eclisse

Do you love platinum as I love it? My new darling, my assistant.

I know many people who keep 2 notebooks – one for phone numbers and one for everything else. I have many more. I keep separate records of income and expenses, 1 more notebook – emails, accounts and passwords to them. A few more planings and notebooks for notes, sketches and poems. My new notebook is an undated Eclisse diary with useful features.

Size: 140 * 200 mm.
Binding: hard.
Paper: tinted.
Where to buy: At any major stationery store.I also saw them in the departments of souvenirs and gifts.

The diary is sold in a mica casing. She is practically invisible. When I choose these notebooks, I try to examine the paper. I want the sheets to be nice and dense enough, because sometimes I draw in them. The official information sticker is just pasted on the mica.

Diary cover embossed, metallic. Similar to fabric. It is very dense and a little soft (there is apparently a gasket between it and the cardboard cover). The cover is stitched with dense waxed threads. Looks very essential, the line is even, the edges of the thread do not hang. There is a brand imprint at the bottom in the central part. Looks very high-status and soundly.

The thickness of the diary is more than 2 cm. 2 cm is only a sheet block, with a cover it is thicker. If someone understands, then in thickness it looks like a textbook on constitutional law.

Endpaper glued tightly, no traces of glue. The folds of the cover fabric do not frizz or wrinkle. The paper on the endpaper is heavy, but not cardboard. The color is light beige, the pattern is a cobweb.

The first pages in the diary are filled with additions. First, this is general information of the owner, it is assumed a long time of use. Here are the columns to fill out: owner’s name, place of work, address, phones, e-mails, passport data (I never fill in this column), but I try to fill in the numbers of relatives as much as possible. Well, you never know what will happen to me, and so there will definitely be relatives, if that.

There are also columns with TIN, compulsory medical insurance policy, blood group and SNILS.This is what I always try to fill in, because in case of emergency medical assistance, such information is needed very quickly.

Further the telephone codes are written in small print: Russian cities (regions) and international ones. This nuance makes the notebook travel-friendly. It is also very convenient for bloggers. For example, you can use the number to determine from which city a parcel or letter is from.

Among the codes there are also automobile and alphabetic country codes. For example, I recently received a postcard from the United States without a letter.Just a postcard in an envelope. I didn’t know the sender, but I understood exactly where the envelope came from.

There is also a whole page with units. Well, this is if you have already completely overworked and there is no physical opportunity to remember the school curriculum. And another convenient addition is a table for calculating the time difference.

And yet, the most useful, in my opinion: a table for calculating calories (convenient for those who are on a diet), clothing sizes in different formats and decoding of barcodes. It turns out a lot of interesting things.

Next, a couple of sheets are devoted to holidays. Rather, here are just lists of months, lined up by dates. The days of the proposed holidays are highlighted in blue. You can write what exactly the event is and highlight the date in a different color. It is also convenient, especially when there are many acquaintances (you cannot remember all birthdays).

The main block of the diary – pages for planning. There are no dates here, but there is a column for filling in the day, month and for the week. The color of the pages is milky. This shade reminds me of craft toys soaked in a solution of coffee. The bottom lines, as I understand it, are for converting or spending marks. I will write down how much I earned and spent.

There are perforated lines in the corners. They are needed in order to make notes without spoiling the overall picture. For example, important sheets can be marked by tearing off the corner along the dotted line. By the way, it comes off easily. I don’t know how convenient it can be, but I marked several sheets like that.

At the end of the notebook there is a small block with an alphabet where you can write your contacts. There is a separate box for phone and email.

A separate nice bonus is a bookmark. She is satin and long. Like lace, only flatter and silky. Bookmark color – platinum, to match the color of the cover.

In general, the diary gives the impression of reliability and durability. I am already actively using it and so far I am very satisfied. The sheets are thin, but not translucent. Slightly glossy and pleasant to the touch. The binding is strong and dense. It is very pleasant to write on such paper. It is easy to write with both pen and pencil.

Pros:
+ high quality;
+ Durable binding;
+ Tinted paper looks nice;
+ Many useful additions;
+ There is a phone book;
+ There is a bookmark;
+ Beautiful design.

Cons:
I found only one minus, but it is also relative. There are diaries that are more expensive, but they may not contain as much usefulness as my Eclisse. But such a beautiful and high-profile diary is ideal for a gift (and not only to a colleague, by the way).

All my diaries and notebooks are on a separate shelf, but this one is still on the desktop. I am pleased to look at it, so I recommend it to you too!

Thank you for reading my review to the end! Be strong and believe in good!
