Indonesian restaurant orchard: The Ricetable Indonesian Restaurant – Ricetable About Us

Содержание

9 restaurants in Singapore that prove our Indonesian food scene is more than just Ayam Penyet, Singapore News

Hearty nasi padang, savoury rawon (Javanese beef stew), and volcanic sambal – what’s not to love about Indonesian food?

With so many of us having friends and family in the Indonesian Archipelago, the locals don’t stand for watered down sop buntut (oxtail soup) or below-average tauhu, and it takes some real big bakso to serve up less-than-ideal chilli.

Whether you’ve visited the legendary Pondok Pak Wah in Bedok South or just started getting into Indonesian food, we’ve rounded up some of the best restaurants for authentic Indonesian cuisine and no, they aren’t all at Lucky Plaza.

BEBEK GORENG PAK NDUT

Photo: City Nomads

We’ve heard plenty of good things about Lucky Plaza’s Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut, dishing out Indo classics like Crispy Fried Chicken (SGD$7.90) and Gado Gado (SGD$7.90), as well as their signature Original Crispy Duck with Rice (SGD$9. 90). Singapore might not be known by our neighbours for having the spiciest food, inside sources tell us that Bebek’s chilli can break even the most undaunted pepper munchers into a sweat. For a little relief, crack into their icy rendition of local ice kachang with an Ice Campur (SGD$3.90).

Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut is located at #01-42/43/44 304 Lucky Plaza, 304 Orchard Road, Singapore 238863, p.+ 6734 4787. Opens from Mondays to Sundays from 11am – 10pm.

TAMBUAH MAS

Photo: City Nomads

Another local favourite with sambal that won approval with the Indonesian community, Tambuah Mas has spent a good part of almost 40 years dishing out Padang, Sulawesi and Javanese dishes in Singapore.

You’ll get as close as possible to an authentic experience with closely-guarded family recipes, and their “golden service” aims to make every trip here feel like coming home. Try the fried chicken in the Ayam Goreng Istimewa or chicken simmered in coconut milk (also known as kalio) in Kari Ayam. Don’t forget to get their take on the Cendol for dessert too.

Tambuah Mas is located at 19 Tanglin Road, #04-10, Singapore 247909, p.+65 6733 3333, or 290 Orchard Road, #B1-44, Singapore 238859, p.+65 6733 2220. Opens from Mondays to Sundays, from 11am – 10pm. Chope link only available for Tangling outlet.

Whether it’s the bustling shopping mecca of [email protected] or amidst the watering holes at Ann Siang Hill, Tok Tok delivers warm bowls of comfort that can heat up even the coldest of hipster hearts.

[[nid:442812]]

The folks here strive to keep with the old-timey feel, with a warung-like ambience and no-fuss food. Get some bakso (fried beef meatballs, essentially) in your belly with Bakso Penyet (SGD$7.80), or soothe your spirit with Sop Buntut (SGD$9.50), a delicious oxtail soup.

The same makers are also due to open a new concept at Jewel Changi Airport.

Tok Tok Indonesian Soup House is located at 313 Orchard Road, #B3-10, [email protected], Singapore 238895, p. +65 6334 1501 or 18 Ann Siang Road, #01-01, Singapore 069698, p.+65 6221 1760. Opens Mondays to Sundays from 11am – 10pm (Orchard Road) and 11am – 9pm (Ann Siang Road).

SARI RATU

Photo: City Nomads

After opening a succession of franchises in Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Sari Ratu’s second outlet at Lucky Plaza has had roaring success. With specialities like Paru Goreng (fried beef lung) and Sayur Nanka (young jackfruit in gravy), Sari Ratu aptly describes itself as a “casual fine dining restaurant”, with freshly prepared ingredients and kampong chicken. Bento sets offer up to six items for SGD$15.

Sari Ratu Singapore is located at 20 Pahang Street, Singapore 198617, p.+65 6294 9983, or 304 Orchard Road, #02-107 Lucky Plaza, Singapore 238863, p.+65 6294 9983. Opens Mondays to Sundays, 10am – 9pm at Pahang Street and 11am – 9pm at Lucky Plaza.

CUMI BALI

Photo: City Nomads

Cumi Bali’s food is a symphony of spiced curios, from 13-spiced fried beancurd in the Tauhu Tempe, to the Ikan Bakar, tender-grilled fish smothered in 18 different spices. And this is because the traditional practice of preparing spice blends, or bumbu, is what makes Indonesian food distinct from its Malayan counterparts, and their spicy belachan is ground up daily using a top-secret recipe that’ll have steam pouring from your ears.

Cumi Bali Indonesian Restaurant is located at 66 Tg Pagar Road, Singapore 088487, p.+65 6220 6619. Opens Mondays to Fridays from 11.30am – 2.30pm and 6pm – 9.30pm, Saturdays from 12pm – 2.30pm and 6pm – 9.30pm, and Sundays from 6pm – 9.30pm.

PAGI SORE INDONESIAN RESTAURANT

Photo: City Nomads

Javanese eatery Pagi Sore has come a long way from its nasi padang roots, 24 years ago. Helmed by Executive Chef Ms Liyana Kwan, Pagi Sore serves up original recipes from her travels and research in Indonesia. Expect authentic Indonesian food signatures – Ikan Otah Kukus (SGD$28.50), whole fish steamed in an otah-based gravy, and Terung Tau Chio (SGD$8.80/$10.80), brinjal topped with a salted bean sauce and a personal favourite of Chef Kwan.

Pagi Sore Indonesian Restaurant is located at 100 Tras Sreet, #02-28, 100AM, Amara Shopping Center, Singapore 079027, p.+65 6636 1373. Opens from Mondays to Saturdays, from 11am – 9.30pm.

INDOCHILI

Photo: IndoChili

Started by the same folks behind Padang Padang and winners of Food Republic’s Hawker King Challenge, IndoChili has been popular for their traditional Maduranese delicacies. Standout favourites include the Sate Ayam Madura (SGD$7.80) and Sop Buntat (SGD$14.50), known for succulent oxtail suspended in light and fragrant broth.

IndoChili is located at Zion Park, Tanjong Pagar and Science Park.

RUMAH RASA

Photo: City Nomads

Contemporary chic ambience and port side views aren’t all that Bay Hotel Singapore has to offer – Rumah Rasa delivers traditional Indonesian fare and piping hot meals from 6am to 3am every day, so you’re all set from breakfast to supper and right back round. With breakfast and weekend lunch buffets, and live dinner barbeques on Fridays and Saturdays, get on the luxe side of Indonesian cuisine with Pepes Salmon (SGD$9. 90) and whole-grilled sea bass in a herb medley in Ikan Kakap Cianjor (SGD$28.90).

5 best Indonesian restaurants in Singapore

Indonesian fare isn’t just nasi ambeng and ayam penyet.

After all, the Southeast Asian country is made up of 17,508 islands and over 300 ethnic groups, so it’s no understatement when we say Indonesian cuisine is one of the most diverse and vibrant ones in the world.

So perhaps it’s time to expand our knowledge on this diverse culture, and what better way to do so than to head to some truly authentic locales in town that are dishing out the real deal?

Whether you’re craving a spot of nasi padang or tahu telor, we’ve got you covered. Read on for our list of Indonesian restaurants in Singapore to get your fix from.

(Hero and featured image credit: Kintamani. All images credited to the respective restaurants unless specified. )

Tok Tok Indonesian Soup House is one of the first restaurants in Singapore to specialise in Indonesian soup dishes. The diner’s latest addition to the menu? A mouthwatering plate of Nasi Campur Ayam Bali, generously packed with eight different dishes alongside an aromatic serving of white rice. If you’re one to live for some heat in your dishes, get the Ayam Suwir, a spicy shredded chicken number that’s sure to pack a punch.

Simple, hearty, and wonderfully delicious are the first few words that come to mind when one thinks of Kintamani. Here, find unassuming plates of Indonesian and Balinese classics like the beef rendang, gado-gado and mee bakso, among a whole range of dishes. Best of all, prices are extremely reasonable too — their all-you-can-eat buffet experience (now served a la carte) starts at S$22.90 per person.

One of Singapore’s oldest Indonesian restaurants, Tambuah Mas Indonesian Restaurant has been serving plates after plates of Indonesian fare to diners since 1981. Many flock here for their version of the Tahu Telur, a glorious tower of egg-battered beancurd that’s deep-fried and served with an addictive sweet-spicy dark sauce. Other standouts on the menu include the Ikan Acar, made with a fish head simmered in a tangy assam sauce, and the Nasi Goreng Istimwa, complete with prawns, chicken satay and acar.

If you love your Ayam Penyet just as the next person (who can resist fried chicken anyway?), then your next spot should definitely be Ayam Penyet Ria. The chickens are broiled with the diner’s special blend of herbs and spices every morning, before being fried to crispy golden perfection. Pair the tender meat with their housemade Sambal Terasi and you’ll be more than just set for lunch. If you’re not one for chicken, the establishment’s Ikan Bawal Penyet, or smashed fried pomfret in English, is a great option too.

Traditional Indonesian recipes form the core of Indonesian restaurant, IndoChili. Satay is a something familiar to many Singaporeans, but the Sate Ayam Madura is a chicken skewer that’s a little different from the rest. A heritage dish of Maduranese people, this charcoal-grilled skewer is glazed with a sweet soy sauce for a candied mouthfeel, creating a wonderful contrast to the savoury meat. Other dishes like the Sop Buntut, on the other hand, is a hearty, thick oxtail soup that’s perfect for chilly days.

Best Indonesian Restaurants in Singapore that Go Beyond Ayam Penyet and Lucky Plaza

PUBLISHED April 3rd, 2021 05:00 am | UPDATED April 16th, 2021 12:59 pm

Hearty nasi padang, savoury rawon (Javanese beef stew), and volcanic sambal — what’s not to love about Indonesian food? While the pandemic has put an indefinite halt on that biennial trip to Bali, that doesn’t mean we don’t have some delicious Indo classics, from sop buntut (oxtail soup) to tauhu, right on our doorstep. We’ve rounded up some of the best restaurants for authentic Indonesian cuisine in Singapore, and no, they aren’t all at Lucky Plaza.

Nusantara Singapore

Not to be confused with its similarly named counterpart on Telok Ayer Street, this CBD gem is dedicated to time-honored Nusantara dishes, minus the MSG. They do no less than six types of sambal, each homemade and hand-pounded – from your familiar belachan to the fiery sambal tunis to creamy tempoyak made with fermented D24 durian. Grab one of their Roti Boyan (S$2.50) – a deliciously flaky potato pie – for breakfast, then return for lunch options like the charcoal-grilled Belimbing Lamb Bowl (S$15.90) and Beef Rendang Bowl (S$10.90).

Nusantara Singapore is located at 182 Cecil Street #02-16/17, Frasers Tower, Singapore 069547, p. +65 9003 9510. Open Mon-Fri 7.30am — 7pm. Closed Sat & Sun.

Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut

Bebek Goreng’s first Lucky Plaza outlet became so popular and beloved that they’ve since set up shop at a second location in Jurong. Their forte lies in serving up indulgent Indo classics like Original Smash Fried Chicken with Rice (S$7.90) and Gado Gado (S$6.50). Singapore might not be known by our neighbours for having the spiciest food, but experience proves that Bebek’s chilli can make even the most undaunted pepper munchers break out a sweat. For a little relief, crack into a fruity rendition of local ice kachang with their Ice Campur (S$3.90).

Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut has outlets in #01-42 Lucky Plaza, 304 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238863, and 3 Gateway Drive, #B1-11 Westgate, Singapore 608532. Open 11am — 9.30pm daily.

Tok Tok Indonesian Soup House

Whether it’s the bustling shopping mecca of [email protected] or amidst the watering holes at Ann Siang Hill, Tok Tok delivers warm bowls of homely comfort that can heat up even the coldest of hipster hearts. The folks here strive to keep with the old-timey feel, with a warung-like ambience and no-fuss food. Get some bakso (fried beef meatballs, essentially) in your belly with the Bakso Penyet (S$7.80), or soothe your spirit with Sop Buntut (S$10.90), a rich and delicious oxtail soup.

Tok Tok Indonesian Soup House has outlets in [email protected], Ann Siang Hill, and Paya Lebar Square. Open 11am — 9pm daily.

Tambuah Mas

Another local favourite whose sambal has won favour with the Indonesian community, Tambuah Mas has spent the better part of 40 years dishing out Padang, Sulawesi, and Javanese dishes in Singapore. Little has changed through the years –  you’ll get as close to an authentic experience as possible with their closely-guarded family recipes, and their ‘golden service’ aims to make every trip here feel like coming home. Try the fried chicken in the Ayam Goreng Istimewa or chicken simmered in coconut milk (also known as kalio) in Kari Ayam. Don’t forget their take on the Cendol for dessert too.

Tanglin:

Great World City:

Tambuah Mas has outlets in Tanglin, Paragon, and Great World City. Open 11am — 10pm daily.

Sari Ratu

After a string of outlets in Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Sari Ratu’s two Singaporean ventures in Pahang Street and Lucky Plaza have seen roaring success. Priding themselves on using freshly prepared ingredients and kampong chicken, you’ll find a stunning array of lesser-known specialities here like Paru Balado (spiced beef lung) and Sayur Nangka (young jackfruit in gravy). For a truly value-for-money meal, opt for one of their bento sets that gives you up to six dishes for S$15 and under.

Sari Ratu Singapore has outlets in Pahang Street and Lucky Plaza, see details here. Open 10am — 9pm daily at Pahang St and 10am — 8pm daily at Lucky Plaza.

Cumi Bali

The traditional practice of preparing spice blends, or bumbu, is what makes Indonesian food truly distinct from its Malayan counterparts, and Cumi Bali’s food is a symphony of spiced curios. Think Tauhu Tempe featuring 13-spiced fried beancurd, or their flavour-packed Ikan Bakar – tender-grilled fish smothered in 18 different spices. Their spicy belachan is ground up daily using a top-secret recipe that’ll have steam pouring from your ears. It’s best washed down, in our opinion, with some Fresh Coconut.

Cumi Bali is located at 55 Tras Street, Singapore 078989, p. +65 6220 6619. Open daily 11.30am — 3pm and 6pm — 9.30pm.

IndoChili

Started by the winners of Food Republic’s Hawker King Challenge, IndoChili has won quite the following for their traditional Maduranese delicacies. Standout favourites include the Sate Ayam Madura (S$12.80) or chicken satay, and Sop Buntut (S$16.80) or succulent oxtail suspended in a hearty and fragrant beef broth. If you can’t pick just one thing, try one of their many bento sets, from the classic Ayam Kari Padang Set (S$12) to a more indulgent Nasi Kuning Seafood Set (S$18).

IndoChili has outlets at Zion Park, Tanjong Pagar, and Science Park (temporarily closed). For more location info, see here.

Kintamani

Kintamani serves up delicious and authentic Balinese fare, and what better way to get the full experience than with their buffet? Head down for lunch (S$30.80++) or dinner (S$33.80++) to enjoy a range of almost 30 dishes that run the gamut from a comforting Sop Bandung to Sayur Lodeh and even Kerang Hijau Pangang Keju (green mussels baked with cheese). Of course, you can’t forget about dessert – the Pulut Durian Pengat or creamy durian paste in glutinous rice is heavenly.

Kintamani is located at 405 Havelock Road, Singapore 169633, p. +65 6739 6463. Open daily 12pm — 2.30pm and 6pm — 10.30pm.

The Ricetable Indonesian Restaurant

The Ricetable has been a favourite to those who enjoy having their food tapas style, with a price-per-head charge of S$21. 80 nett for lunch and S$32.80 nett for dinner. The fixed menus dish up an average of 15 to 20 dishes with unlimited top-ups, running the gamut of staple items from soto ayam to daging rendang. It’s the perfect spot for those want a taste of the full spectrum of Indonesian cuisine. We highly recommend making space for the Grilled ChickenTahu Telor, and Beef Rendang – you’ll certainly want seconds.

The Ricetable Indonesian Restaurant is located at 360 Orchard Road, #02-09/10 International Building, Singapore 238869, p.+65 6835 3782. Open Mon — Sat 12pm — 2.45pm and 6pm — 10pm, Sun 12pm — 2.45pm.

IndoBox – New Indonesian Casual Dining at Ion Orchard – DanielFoodDiary.com

BALIThai closed and Indobox opened at the same location of Ion Orchard, a prime corner spot at Level 3 of Ion Orchard. Both are operated by the same Katrina Holdings who also owns Bayang, RennThai, Streats hong kong café, Honguo, Hutong and Muchos Mexican Bar & Restaurant.

The problem with IndoBox (and its predecessor BALIThai) is the lack of publicity. Nobody has really heard or cared about it. Actually, the rest of the other restaurants suffer that same fate, and in this day and age where competition is so high, marketing cannot be ignored.

That is why on a weekend night when neighbours Watami, Nara Thai are having long queues, you can easily walk into IndoBox and get a seat.

Without being overly fussy, food is not too bad. And I was having a craving for Indonesian food after just coming back from Jakarta.

The cosy looking IndoBox offers a range of Indonesian goodies, from Tahu Telor, Ayam Goreng, Sate Madura, Nasi Kuning, Soto Ayam, Sayur Lodeh, and Ayam Panggang. Prices are rather friendly, mostly below $10 per dish, considering this is prime land shopping mall.

The recommended dish should be the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng set ($12.80), with coconut rice and fried crispy chicken drumstick beef rendang, fried ikan billis, fried peanut, fried egg, and sambal. Both the meats were reasonably tasty (truly I wasn’t expecting much) and make a hearty meal. If the rice was more fragrant, this dish would have scored easily with customers.

One of the true tests of an Indonesian restaurant is the Sate, and IndoBox’s Sate Madura ($9.50 for 6 sticks of skewered chicken/beef) was the best dish of the day with evenly grilled succulent meats (some sate often end up too dry) with lick worthy sauces. Though I questioned why it would arrive in a ‘hot plate’, which wasn’t really even warm.

The traditional Soto Betawi ($9.80) of beef soup with rice cake and vermicelli was just weird. The beef was overly tough and soup not authentic or appetizing enough.

IndoBox has a welcoming environment offering a variety of Indonesian dishes. Unfortunately it lands up being another one of those average restaurants. A more distinct style and signature dishes would be needed for the casual shoppers to walk in and dine.

Sedap Indonesian Food In The Heart Of Orchard Road!

Stashed away on the 2nd floor of International Building along Orchard Road, The Rice Table has been a welcomed mainstay in the area.

It serves up gastronomical dishes created from age-old recipes that evoke the warm taste of home-cooked food and Indonesian hospitality.

You will be instantly drawn in by The Rice Table’s earthly interior tones, wooden panels, tribal motifs, and woven lampshades when you walk into this cosy eatery. They emanate a rustic charm.

At the table, the first thing that draws your attention is the long plate warmer, which is an ingenious way of keeping your little dishes warm and enjoyable for a longer time.

The food

While there are quite a number of restaurants serving specialty Indonesian fare, The Rice Table claims to be the only authentic rijsttafel restaurant, where dishes are laid out in small, sampling portions in the form of a rice table for a feast of the senses.

The Sate Ayam (grilled chicken satay) is marinated with a secret family recipe. The meat is juicy and oh-so-flavourful. A definite must-try.

Their umami Ayam Panggang (grilled chicken) is also robust in flavour and very tender. Make sure you savour every spoonful of the traditional Indonesian sweet soya sauce it comes with.

Details

Drinks and desserts are not included in The Rice Table’s menu. If you still have room for some sweet treats, you absolutely have to give their Durian Chendol a shot.

With generous toppings of red beans, pandan jelly and a thick coat of Gula Melaka goodness atop a finely-shaved bed of durian-pureed ice, there is no better way to conclude your satisfying Indonesian dining experience.

Bali (Indonesia)

We have been to Indonesia (in particular in Bali) many times, in total we lived for several years, captured all the seasons – both rainy and dry.

Traveled a little on the island of Java, where we saw the most beautiful volcanoes of the planet, unusual waterfalls, also went on a motorcycle trip to 6 islands, talked with Javanese couchsurfers and attended a Muslim wedding.

We went to Lombok and the Gili Islands, shared their impressions about this trip here.

About Bali

Most of the time we spent in Bali – for about a month we lived on the East Coast in the village of Bunutan, near Amed and in Chandidas, in Sanur and in the south of the island, thoroughly traveled the whole island, lived a little in Seminyak and Kuta , where we went to surf school twice, and most of the time we lived in Ubud, among the rice fields.

During all this time, we have visited more than a dozen of the most interesting places, visited many national festivals, annual festivals, the cremation ceremony, studied all the beaches and waterfalls of the island, climbed the Batur volcano three times, visited the monkey forest and bird park, examined the vicinity of Kintamani, where we visited tangerine and coffee plantations. We learned the whole truth about how cocoa grows and how real delicious chocolate is made in a bamboo organic factory.

More than once have witnessed cockfights, religious ceremonies of offerings to the gods and appeasing spirits. Have visited many temples and dance performances, festivals and even Balinese fashion shows.

We got acquainted with the cuisine of the country, and tried all the popular tropical fruits of Asia, and even compiled a guide book describing 30 tropical fruits (you can download it for free here). So we plunged into the culture of Bali headlong 🙂 We talk about all this in detail in our articles.

And since they lived in Bali for a long time, they also described many useful things – how to rent a house and a scooter, how to make a social visa and then renew it, what you should definitely see on the island, and what to do even for a sophisticated tourist.

Lived in different hotels, tried a variety of tourist attractions (water park, underwater walks, paragliding, and other water activities / sports), wrote many articles about their experience.

We have already collected quite a lot of material in Bali, and we have added a map for easier navigation. Points are marked on the map, for most of which there are articles, you can select the desired point and go from it using the corresponding link – the map is located at the end of this page. There is also a map of all the beaches of Bali.

You can find a hotel or villa in Bali here. There are also good accommodation options on airbnb.

Former restaurant “Minsk” in Potsdam will become a museum | Culture and Lifestyle in Germany and Europe | DW

The popular in the days of the GDR and now abandoned restaurant “Minsk” in Potsdam will reopen in the fall of 2021 as a museum of contemporary art. Thus, Germany will have another “hot spot” of culture, said on Thursday, June 10, representatives of the investor and initiator of the project – the Hasso Plattner Foundation (Hasso Plattner).

At one time, this fund already financed the restoration of the city palace in Potsdam and the reconstruction of the Barberini Palace located also in Potsdam, which now houses a museum with collections of works of old masters and impressionists from the Hasso Plattner art collection. The new museum, which will open after the renovation of the restaurant building in Potsdam, will specialize in the fine arts of the former GDR and contemporary art.

Hasso Plattner is a German entrepreneur, billionaire, one of the founders of SAP, which produces software for business organizations, as well as a well-known philanthropist in the country who founded a foundation that actively sponsors art.

The “Minsk” restaurant will get a new life

The restaurant, which is a concrete building in the post-war Art Nouveau style with a two-level terrace and a flat roof, was very popular during the GDR.For a long time it was planned to demolish the building. But in 2019, the city authorities of Potsdam gave the green light to the reconstruction of the former restaurant and its conversion into a museum.

The “Minsk” will be fully refurbished and removed harmful asbestos, which in the post-war years was widely used in construction throughout today’s Germany. After the reconstruction, the museum will have two exhibition levels with a total area of 900 square meters. It is planned to preserve the façade with its characteristic composition of windows, concrete and brickwork.

Art critic Paola Malavassi, who since 2016 headed the Berlin branch of the Julia Stoschek Collection gallery, and previously worked as an assistant to the director of the Cologne Museum Ludwig Kasper König ( Kasper König). The Heidelberg University graduate will take up her new position in Potsdam in August 2020.

“We are confident that Paola Malavassi will succeed in transforming the building, which many Potsdam residents have fought to preserve, into a space of special international importance,” said Stefanie Plattner, Board Member of the Hasso Plattner Foundation. The restaurant “Minsk” in the days of the GDR was a favorite resting place and should become such again, Paola Malavassi pointed out in turn: “At the same time, this building should become a place where questions of the history of art of the GDR, as well as problems of totalitarianism and censorship will be discussed.” …

Did free art exist in the GDR? The exhibition “Under the Mask. Paintings depicting workers in the GDR were welcomed. Artists who worked in the spirit of socialist realism were guaranteed recognition and money. The painting by Norbert Wagenbrett depicts a simple working guy, and a little to the side – the artist himself. Both look at each other in disbelief – like strangers.

In the era of the triumph of socialist realism, the talented artist and professor of painting Lothar Zitzman chose symbolism for himself. His works are exquisite, romantic, radiate joy and optimism, red color prevails in them, but at the same time there is no kitsch. Zitzman loved to portray athletes, children, carnival scenes, paint still lifes and landscapes. In 1976 he took part in the design of the Palace of the Republic of the GDR.
