How to refill your vape pen

There’s no shortage of choice when it comes to flavour. Find out how to refill your device.

If you’re new to vaping, understanding how to properly refill your device can be tricky. There are lots of different types of devices, all with different means of refilling. Depending on how often you vape, you may need to refill your device frequently so it is important to understand how this process works. In this guide we take you through the various types of vape pen and how to refill them all.

Closed System devices

This means that the e-liquid is contained within the cartridge itself and cannot be manually refilled. Replacing a cartridge is simple – when you start to notice a change in the way your vape pen is performing, it’s time for a new cartridge. These changes can include less vapour production and a weaker flavour.

To replace your cartridge, unscrew the used one and throw it away responsibly. Then take your new cartridge and screw it onto the battery. Make sure that the cartridge is attached securely as this could affect the vapour production.

Open System devices

E-liquid bottles are used to refill Open System devices like the blu PRO. The term Open System refers to the fact that the clearomiser (where the e-liquid is stored) can be topped up manually. The blu PRO has a clear window on the side of the device so you can see when your e-liquid has run out. To refill your blu PRO, follow these steps:

  1. Unscrew the mouthpiece and battery from the clearomiser.
  2. Place the nozzle on the inside wall, avoiding centre tubing.
  3. Squeeze to fill the clearomiser. Gauge level using clear window and do not fill past the top of the window.
  4. Screw the mouthpiece and battery back onto the clearomiser.
  5. Take a few shorter drags to prime your device for the best vapour production.

It is important to keep e-liquid out of the centre tubing, as this can lead to flooding. This is when e-liquid gets into the mouthpiece and can result in a bad taste when vaping. You can sometimes notice flooding when your vape pen starts making a gurgling sound and produces less vapour than normal.

When refilling your vape pen this way, it is a good idea to do so over a paper towel so that any spilled e-liquid can be easily mopped up. Refilling your device also provides a good opportunity to clean the mouthpiece, as this will make sure that you continue to get a smooth draw from your device. To do this, simply place a tissue inside the back of the unscrewed mouthpiece and blow through it.

To make sure that your device continues producing the best flavour and has a consistent vapour production, it is recommended that the clearomiser itself is replaced every 10 refills.

Rapidograph pens are meant to be used with disposable ink cartridges, but that does not mean you can’t refill them yourself.

If there is not enough drug remaining in the cartridge for the required dose, the dose setting ring will not rotate further in a clockwise direction. Discard the pen or enter the remaining dose units and use a new pen to complete the required dose.


11. The injection of the drug should be carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the attending physician.

To inject the set dose of the drug, press the start button as far as it will go and hold it throughout the entire infusion process until the value “0” appears opposite the dosage indicator. The value “0” in the dose indicator window means that you have entered your dose in full (see Fig. 11).

Failure to follow these steps may result in an incorrect dose. If insulin continues to flow from the needle after injection, keep the needle in the skin for longer on subsequent injections.

13. After removing the needle from under the skin, carefully slide the outer protective cap over the needle of the pen (see Fig. 13).

Used BiomaticPen®2 syringe pen should be disposed of only with the needle disconnected.

Several years ago I got the idea to learn how to write beautifully, and in the process of learning I discovered new tools and materials, which I want to share)

The Pilot Parallel Pen made the greatest impression on me. If even 5 years ago these fountain pens had to be ordered on Amazon or in specialized stores for calligraphers, then recently “parallels” have become very popular and affordable.In any big city you can find them without any problems.

So, Pilot Parallel Pen can be purchased as a set (3 or 4 pieces), or separately. They are available in four nib widths – 1.5mm, 2.4mm, 3.8mm and 6mm. Each size has its own cap color – red, orange, green and blue, respectively. I am glad that the manufacturer has foreseen that awkward moment when the pen accidentally opens in the bag and stains everything it can reach with ink) Therefore, the cap of the Pilot Parallel Pen is not just closed, but screwed tightly.Another plus of the cap is its shape, thanks to which the handles do not roll on inclined surfaces.

But when you try to get it, you can pour ink on your unfinished work, table, tools, yourself and a little cat. Therefore, if the cartridge is already installed, use it to the end.

Well, and finally, I’ll tell you about experiments with refilling cartridges) Since students of calligraphy courses spend a lot of ink on practicing skills (especially for a pen with a 6 mm nib), using original cartridges is quite expensive (with a student budget) – you can calmly overnight write down 2-3.Therefore, new ink for fountain pens was poured into an empty cartridge with a syringe. But I do not recommend this method, because non-native inks differ in quality (most often they are more liquid). And there is always the possibility of ruining the Pilot Parallel Pen during such experiments. But if you do decide, then the main thing is not to confuse ink with ink, as you will definitely ruin the pen.
And also pay attention to the weight of the paper you are going to write on.
