“Have been here twice now for different photo shoots – both times the shoots have amazed me: wonderful and skillful photographers, great settings within the studio, post production work is amazing and we got some brilliant photos which are now family treasures.

The team are absolutely awesome in every respect, and I like the fact that they focus on guiding you rather than being pushy sales people – a big plus! I would highly recommend the folks at White Room Studio, they are a great team producing excellent photos.

Sanjay Patel

“18 August 2019 turned out to be an absolutely amazing day when we did our family photoshoot. Big thanks to Dan who was a professional and patient family photographer as he guided us through the entire photoshoot. We were delighted to view the end product of beautiful portraits and the time spent was all worthwhile. Hard work efforts thanks to Delun and Kelvin too..keep up the great beautiful work!”

Mrs Pek and Family

“Highly recommend for family photoshoots, especially if you have a beloved pet. Special thanks to our photographer, Mr. Delun, for capturing many beautiful moments of my mom, sis and I (and our pet dog haha). It’s our 2nd time back at WRS for a family photoshoot after 6+years and as usual the photography studio/set-up was a good mix of minimalistic, rustic and natural. Ample natural light flowing in, comfortable changing area for wardrobe changes, and friendly staff/ photographers 👌”

Natalie Koh

“My experience with White Room Studio, a portrait photography studio, has been nothing less than positive.

From the experienced family photographer to the final touches in recommending us packages, it was done with care and slowness. Nothing beats the outcome of the photos! I do wish them success and hope they continue to stay sincere in their approach and not become commercialized. All the best!”

Howard Kwan

“The family photoshoot at White Room Studio was really taken care of from the beginning till the end. They have a professional touch from the time you mention that you wanted a photoshoot with the studio. You will receive the company ratecard and therefore they will let you know the details in rather very patient manner. They were very friendly and approachable and didn’t force anything, but help you make your decision in terms of the attire, the appointment and the family photoshoot.

The photoshoot took about 1hr and half, and they were handle with grace and effortless. You will somehow see that this photography studio has great class above the rest.

And they will tastefully take on the job and they will make you feel great. To those who like to have amazing family photos, with great services and effort, go to White Room Studio and they will show you what I’m talking about. All i can say, it is top notch and ready to take on the world. Great job White Room Studio! After all great customer service is what we all want from any service provider!”

Professional Family Photographs for Time Immemorial

A family takes on a different shape from the moment a couple chooses to have children. Taking the time to take family photos is one way of appreciating and remembering the changing family dynamics. Family portraiture is not just popular, but it is also significant since it is a documentation of growth. We’ll happily ensure you have awesome images that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Life is a cycle, and a special bond will always exist between a child and grandparent. Taking the time to document the visible affection between your children and their grandparents will help you keep their memory alive. Our photographers notice the little things, such as the twinkle in the eye of a grandparent watching his grandchild, or the fascination in the face of a child listening to his grandparents, and we make sure we capture every moment.

Whether you have a newborn, toddlers, teens or adult children, the shots vary in appearance and depth. Our family photographers observe the tone, mood, and action radiating from the members of the family when determining the poses. We understand that the shots are important for the entire family for a long time to come, and so we make sure the moment and images count!

Best family photoshoot packages in Singapore: Cost and promotions, Lifestyle News

Thinking of capturing the loving moments with your loved ones for keepsake? Here are the best photographers you can engage to create those beautiful memories.

Every moment spent with your loved ones is a moment to treasure. These moments are free to keep when it’s stored in your mind.

But sadly, our brains aren’t designed to keep all of these memories intact. Over time, we lose track of them, though there are still remnants that are stored as long term memory in our minds.

That’s why it is a good idea to engage a professional photographer to capture those memories so that we can look back on them as we grow old to reminisce about the fun times we have with our loved ones.

But this comes at a price, and this is how much you can expect to pay for family photoshoot packages in Singapore.

Cost breakdown for photoshoot packages

For those who are unfamiliar with photoshoot packages, here’s a quick primer on the costs involved in photoshoots.

Types of photoshoots

The first factor that determines a huge part of the cost is the theme. There are a couple of themes that you can choose from:

  • Family shoot
  • Newborn/baby shoot
  • Maternity shoot
  • Studio or outdoor shoot

Family shoots with adults and children are typically the cheapest among them, which costs between $200 to $800.

This is followed by maternity shoot and newborn/baby shoots, which could cost up to almost $1,000.

This is slightly higher due to skills involved in capturing the best moments for babies as compared to adults.

After all, you can’t exactly ask a baby to pose for you, unlike adults. As such, more effort is required to capture not just every moment, but also know the opportune time to get those shots.

Lastly, the location matters – a studio shoot is slightly cheaper than the outdoor option, as it requires less preparation work in a fixed setting. The price difference is in the range of $100 to $200 between an indoor and outdoor shoot.

Photo edits and number of photos (soft copy and hard copy)

Photo edits and number of photos are other factors that you need to take note of as well. Photoshoot packages usually come with a predefined number of edited photos.

But if you prefer to have more edited photos, you will need to fork out more for this service.

Make sure to read the fine print as well if you want to get the soft copy of all the photos that were taken. Most photography services will charge extra for such requests.

Important questions to ask when shortlisting a family photographer in Singapore.

Family photoshoots can be a blast if handled correctly. However, getting the right person to do it can be quite a challenge. Below are the top questions you can ask to narrow down who is ideal for family photography in Singapore.

  • How many years have you been doing this? Photography takes time to get right. Furthermore, they need to have sufficient knowledge of what equipment to use to achieve the perfect shot. When asking about experience, also include questions that cover the equipment. As a rule of thumb, the more sophisticated the equipment, the higher the quality of photographs you should expect.
  • What is your specialty? As with other professions, photography also comes with specific specialties. When pursuing family photography in Singapore, look for candidates that deal with family photoshoots. Additionally, you can request some samples from their catalog to identify better a theme that suits you. Any photographer worth their name should have a website showcasing their work.
  • Do you have a list of clients that hire you regularly? Family photoshoots are lifelong commitments. All leading photographers always have repeat clients in their portfolio. Family photoshoots are a regular occurrence, covering milestones such as graduations, weddings, and birthdays. A consistent flow of work from repeat clients is a clear sign that the individual you are talking to is the right one.
  • What are your payment terms, and what does it cover? Family photography in Singapore can cost top dollar. Depending on who you approach, the payment terms may not be favorable to you. Always seek professionals within your budget that still offer you the best quality of work. Ensure you have a sufficient number of photographers to choose from, allowing you not to break the bank.
  • Do you allow for cancellations and rescheduling? Predicting the future can be challenging. The weather may not be ideal for your session, or an emergency may occur, causing you to reschedule. Seek photographers that offer a flexible schedule to help you plan accordingly for your big day.
  • How long will it take till I get the photos? Over the years, the tools available to photographers for post-production are more sophisticated. The timeline to receive the photos is significantly shorter compared to when the photographic film was the main medium. Therefore, you should shortlist a photographer who has a quick turnaround time to ensure quick and quality delivery. Ideally, it should not take more than a week for you to receive your photos for your family photoshoot in Singapore.
  • Where will the photoshoot take place? Family photographers can operate from anywhere. They can decide to use their studio or take you to an outdoor location. Depending on the location, your cost can significantly increase. Ask your photographer for different options and choose what is best for your budget.

The above are the fundamental questions to ask when shortlisting for family photographers. However, you can also ask more questions to your heart’s content to verify all the information that you need. Always ask open-ended questions to get the full information. A sure formula to use is the what, how, when, and who questions.

How to prepare for a family photoshoot in Singapore

The first task is to pick the perfect studio and photographer for your family. You’ll find my recommendations below, so hopefully one of those will jump out at you as the ideal fit for your family.

Next up, you’ll need to choose your location. You can have either a studio shoot, outdoor location, or home session.

Coordinating your outfits is very important to gain the best results from the day. If you have younger kids, make sure you bring a spare outfit or two, as we all know they can get very messy! Pick out clothing that compliments each other’s outfits, and that makes everyone feel comfortable. For details on family photoshoot Ideas, poses, outfits, and color schemes, refer to this article.

Before the shoot, try to get the whole family excited and on board with the day’s activity. Ensure everyone has a good night’s sleep the day before and a big breakfast on the morning of the session. From there, it’s all about having fun! Follow the photographer’s instructions and enjoy your day together.

How do you make a family photoshoot fun for your kids?

  1. Choose a location that your child loves, a place she will play and pose without any prompting.
  2. Choose a location that shows off her personality. Is she a dancer, a princess, a fashionista?
  3. Choose a time of day that the light creates the best shadows and lighting for your child.
  4. Choose a time of day that is not too crowded. You want her to be happy, not interrupted by tourists.
  5. Choose a photographer that will capture the essence of your child, not just a pretty picture.

Managing expectations for your family photoshoot in Singapore.

It is important to manage expectations for your upcoming photo shoot. Here are some tips to ensure the session goes as per the plan.

  • Be in sync with your photographer. Every photo session revolves around a certain theme. Therefore, you need to align this with your photographer for the best outcome. You can start by looking at their past work for a point of reference. Ensure you are articulate when communicating the same since any miscommunication can result in the entire endeavor being a total waste.
  • Workout the different poses and how best to achieve them. In line with being in sync with your photographer, you can work on sample poses beforehand. Share the same with your family, such that you prepare well before the day. Children are always unpredictable. Depending on their age, you will always have little ones who will not sit still or will want to play in between shots. Giving your photographer a brief on your children will go a long way in avoiding any mishaps while they work.
  • Your photographer is the expert. A big no-no is shouting directions to your photographer. There is always that one family member who is a know-it-all. For your session to go smoothly, share some of the sample pictures with your family for them to get insight into the photographer’s expertise. Find a middle ground where your end vision matches your photographer’s style.
  • Ask your photographer if they require anything from your end? In some cases, family photography sessions do require extra input from the participating family. With this in mind, it is advisable to have a list of prior requirements from your photographer. Especially for outdoor sessions, you may require to purchase the passes both for your family and the photographer. They may also need to provide transport and accommodation should the session go past hours.

Choosing between a family studio photoshoot versus a family outdoor shoot.

When planning for a family photoshoot in Singapore, you can choose between the studio and an outdoor venue. The resulting choice will entirely depend on your personal preferences. However, here are some points to help you narrow down on what is suitable for your family.

Family studio photoshoot in Singapore

As the name suggests, these take place indoors. You can opt for location at the photographer’s premises or at your home. Here are some factors to help you better narrow down the decision.

  • The weather does not influence the outcome – Since the session will primarily take place indoors, the elements are inconsequential to the shoot’s outcome. However, conditions such as typhoons or hurricanes can prevent you from getting to the venues. These are often far between, and your plans will take this into account, and you shall prepare adequately.
  • It is cheaper in comparison to outdoor sessions – Studio photoshoots tend to be cheaper than outdoor shoots. If you plan for an outdoor shoot, you may incur extra costs such as venue entrance fees, travel expenses, and rescheduling costs, depending on the elements. If budget is your main concern, a studio or home session is your best choice.
  • Time allowance – Studio shoots do not require a lot of time commitment from your end. Everything is at one spot, and there is not much to do in terms of planning. Your photographer will have all the tools at their disposal and can deliver the photos within the day.

Despite all the positives, certain liberties are not available when on studio photoshoots.

  • For example, there is more post-production that goes into studio photos. The lack of natural light does not bring out your natural appearance as would outdoor sessions.
  • Another drawback to studio sessions is the lack of uniqueness in the photos, as the setup tends to be similar across various clients, leaving very little creativity.

Outdoor Photoshoots.

Taking pictures outdoors also comes with its sets of advantages. Here are the main ones that you can take into account:

  • More creative liberties – Outdoor sessions give you the freedom to explore your creativity on set. You can bring your props to make the session more original. You can also employ different backgrounds as per your theme.
  • Natural light promotes authenticity – Colors appear more vividly in natural light as compared to studio light. Furthermore, you can get unique backgrounds that are not possible at a studio. Settings such as botanical gardens, waterfalls, and the beach, have unique natural features that are not accessible indoors.
  • One of the main drawbacks of outdoor sessions is that they can be cost-prohibitive. Depending on the venue, you may end up paying far more than you would at a studio session.
  • Another thing is that they can be hard to predict, given that all rely on nature. Make careful plans before you rest on a particular choice.

Logistics for your Family Photoshoot in Singapore

As your day approaches, certain things will make or break the whole session. Here are the top tips to handle family photoshoot logistics.

  1. Have a chaperon to guide the activities. Arriving at the location earlier than your photographer is a sure way of getting things off on the right foot. Often, family photoshoots that start off later than usual end up not being as productive. By appointing a chaperon, they can guide the activities to ensure that all those participating are on time and stick to the schedule.
  2. Seek your photographer’s advice on an ideal time and location. Often, not all the locations you opt for are ideal for your photographs. It may be helpful to utilize your photographer’s insight in what locations are suitable for your theme and the time of day. Photography requires ample light for the results to be outstanding. Therefore, opt for a time that will give you the best light to accentuate the colors and backgrounds.
  3. Verify with the photographer the requirements of the venue. Some venues may require reservations before the session. Ask your photographer if they have the necessary permits to avoid any surprises. Furthermore, you can call the location beforehand to confirm the same. Wherever possible, ensure that you have a copy of the confirmation as you plan your trip.
  4. Perform a reconnaissance of the venue. A trial run of the venue is always a good idea. It will prepare you better for the photoshoot, by familiarizing yourself with the location of the facilities. In case any of your members appear anxious, a reconnaissance of the venue can help alleviate their fears.
  5. Always bring a first aid kit and goody bag. Accidents can occur at any time. Having a first aid kit on hand is essential since you can address any emergencies quickly. Also, a goody bag is not such a bad idea if your session will be taking place outdoors. For example, your goody bag can contain some blankets, tarp, and diapers for your toddler, should they go boom boom mid-session.
  6.  Carry some extra cash with you. Aside from what your session may cause, some extra cash with you will also help along the way. Given how the session goes, you can request more services that your current contract will not cover. The additional cash will come in handy should any other unforeseen expenses occur.

Family Portraits

What is a family portrait?

A family portrait is a photo taken of members of the nuclear or extended family. These photos are often displayed or saved to share a family’s heritage. For families with young children, regular family photos can show how the family has grown or changed over time. Family studio portraits are taken by professional photographers in their studio location.

Why are family portraits important?

Family portraits are important for several reasons.

  • First, family portraits document growth. This can be the aging and growth of each member of the family, but also the growth over time of a family that is still expanding. For young families, regular family portraits show each new addition to the family.
  • Second, family portraits allow families to relive memories. Not only will they relive the memories of having the photos taken, but they’ll be able to relive the memories from that period of their lives.
  • Third, family portraits are a good way to show off your family. Family members often have family portraits in their home or on their desk. These photos are an easy way to show off members of the family, even if the person is not nearby.
  • Finally, family portraits leave us with something when the worst happens. When a loved one passes away, the family portraits leave us with something of that person. While we never want to think of the worst happening, having portraits can be a comfort when we miss our loved ones who have passed on.

Where can I get family portraits taken in Singapore?

There are lots of photography studios in Singapore that offer family portrait photography. If you want to get a family portrait in Singapore, search for portrait studios near you. Once on the photographer’s website, determine whether or not they do family portraits.

Once you’ve compiled a short list of photographers near you that offer family portraits, look at each photographer’s portfolio. By viewing their previous work, you can best determine if their style fits the vision you have for your family’s photos.

How much do family portraits cost?

If you’re looking for a family portrait studio in Singapore, the price you pay will depend upon the particular studio and the package you choose. If you’re purchasing several photos with different poses and outfits, the price of your family studio portraits can increase.

Some studios in Singapore offer family portrait packages for as low as $99. It’s important to remember that the cost of the portraits may not include the price of prints, framing, and other add-ons. To find out exactly what is included in your photography package, ask your chosen photographer.

How to Prepare for Family Portraits

Preparing for your family portrait session will have some differences from preparing for an individual portrait. Below are a few tips for preparing for your family portrait in Singapore.

  • First, you should plan outfits for each family member. While matching outfits can be visually appealing, you do not need to match for your family portrait. Family members should wear coordinating colors. To prepare for your photoshoot, make sure each person in your family knows what they’re going to wear. It may help to set out the outfits the night before to make sure everything is clean and ready for portraits. The outfits should be comfortable. Unfamiliar clothing may not be a good idea for young children.
  • Second, your family members should be ready to be posed. If you have specific poses in mind, it may help to run through getting into those poses before the day of your family studio portraits. If the photographer will be helping pose family members, make sure your children are ready to have strangers around them.
  • Finally, make sure everyone is rested and well-fed before portraits. As far as it is in your control, make sure your children are rested and fed before the photo shoot. If the children are eating right before the portraits, make sure they are not eating in their photo shoot outfits.

Top five locations for outdoor family photoshoot in Singapore.

  • East Coast Park and Beach Occupying an area of 460 acres, this location is the largest park in Singapore. It features a manmade beach that is ideal for both swimming and snorkeling. Families that choose this location can enjoy different backgrounds at the Bedok, Tampines, or Marine Parade. Your family can also use the many amenities such as barbeque pits, chalets, and restaurants.
  • Singapore Botanic Gardens. If you are a nature lover, the Singapore Botanic Gardens are your ideal outdoor location. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to over 10,000 plant species and occupies 200 acres. You will not pay any entrance fees except for the Orchid Garden. It operates daily from 5 a.m. to midnight, making it ideal for both day and night photoshoots.
  • Marina Bay, Singapore. Do you fancy iconic buildings, luxury yachts, and fancy light shows? Then you have to visit Marina Bay for your next family photoshoot in Singapore. Your family will enjoy some of the best backgrounds to create iconic memories that will leave everyone green with envy. Always consult with your photographer when scouting for locations to confirm availability and fees to use this location for your next shoot.
  • Ann Siang Hill. There is no better place to capture Singapore’s history over the years than Ann Siang Hill. The area still has the old architecture from its humble beginnings in 1848. The sceneries you can choose from are traditional storefronts, brightly colored walls, and the rustic décor that is a staple in most buildings.
  • Gardens by the Bay. Finally, we have the Gardens by the Bay. They have been operational since 2008 and feature the flower dome, which is the largest greenhouse in the world. The diversity of plants within its 110 hectares provide the perfect color background to make your photos stand.

Scheduling a family photoshoot in Singapore is the perfect way to guarantee time together as a family. During these sessions, you will create more memories to last a lifetime and enjoy laughs and precious moments together.

The studios listed above all offer high-quality results and professional photographers, so you’ll be in safe hands whoever you choose to use.

Prices can vary depending on whether it’s an outdoors or studio shoot, how many hours, how many people, how many photos, etc. A typical family photo shoot will include one to two outfits per subject, with an average of 10 to 15 images.

Where can I take family photos in Singapore?

Sentosa Island is the best place to take family photos in Singapore. The island is well-known for its beaches, where you can have the option to have fun with your family. The island is known for its clean water. Furthermore, it also has gardens, amusement parks, wildlife parks, and more. Thus, it’s a great place to go on a family vacation. Another fun place to take pictures with your family is to go to Gardens by the Bay. How do you make a family photoshoot fun?

Photoshoot with your family, when done right, can be a great way to put everyone in the holiday spirit. Prepare and color coordinate the outfits beforehand and bring enough accessories and props for your family photoshoot. Further, you must take photos n a suitable environment as it can determine the mood of the photo. Make sure that there are no distractions in the background. Also, pick the right time of the day for the photoshoot. For example, if you are doing a beach photoshoot, it is important to avoid the times when the sun is too bright.

Under the leadership of Lee Kuan Yew Singapore transformed from a small, modest port city into one of the richest countries in the world.

The leaders of the world’s leading powers paid tribute to the memory of the politician who served as Prime Minister of Singapore for 31 years.

US President Barack Obama called him a giant in history, whose advice was listened to by world leaders.

The mourning events will culminate in the state funeral of Lee Kuan Yew on Sunday. From Wednesday to Saturday, the body of the former prime minister will lie in the Singapore parliament.

The family vigil at the coffin of the deceased will be held on Monday and Tuesday.

Following the official announcement of Lee Kuan Yew’s death, many Singaporeans rushed to the official residence of the President and Prime Minister, where a book of condolences was displayed.

Singapore’s Foreign Minister K Shanmugam told the BBC that for Singaporeans, Lee Kuan Yew was George Washington and Churchill rolled into one.

“We are experiencing a sense of tremendous loss, a sense of deep grief,” he said.

Meanwhile, business in business Singapore was not interrupted for a minute. Only on the board of the stock exchange, where quotes usually flash, a large inscription appeared: “In memory of Lee Kuan Yew, September 16, 1923 – March 23, 2014”.

Lee Kuan Yew, commonly known simply as LKY in Singapore, oversaw the process of Singapore’s independence from Great Britain and its secession from Malaysia. He also founded the Popular Action Party, which has ruled the country since 1959.

Lee Kuan Yew created a market for highly skilled labor in Singapore with fluent English and invited foreign investors to turn it into a manufacturing center.

He implemented programs for industrialization, corruption and slum removal. He was a strong believer in a multicultural, multiracial Singapore.

At the same time, he introduced strict control over various spheres of public life. Including – over the media.

Dissidents and political opponents were ruthlessly suppressed. His party still remains at the helm. There are now six opposition MPs in the Singapore parliament.

Other measures imposed by him in Singapore include corporal punishment, a ban on chewing gum and attempts by the authorities to unite the most advanced and educated citizens into married couples to ensure a generation of talented children. All these steps were considered by many to be an unnecessary interference of the state in personal life.

Lee Kuan Yew criticized the liberal order in the West, believing that it undermined the social foundations.

Singapore Succession Regulations

Inheritance issues in Singapore are regulated by the Inheritance Act and the Intestate Succession Act.

As a rule, the property of a permanent resident in Singapore is inherited in accordance with his will, registered in a Singapore court. The compiler has the right to bequeath his property, including real estate located outside the city-state, to any person (including foreign citizens) at his discretion. A will is automatically declared invalid if the person who made it enters into marriage after it has been drawn up.

Close relatives not included in the will have the right to judicially obtain the alienation of part of the property in their favor. This provision does not apply to spouses whose marriage has not been officially registered and children born out of wedlock.

In addition, the persons referred to in the will have the opportunity, at their discretion, in a pre-trial order, to redistribute among themselves the shares of the inheritance bequeathed to them by drawing up an agreement on the family division of property. This document is drawn up exclusively with the consent of all legal heirs and must be certified by a Singapore notary.

If a will was not drawn up by a person who died in Singapore, then the inheritance rights are formalized by a Singapore court. In this case, the movable property located on the territory of Singapore is inherited in accordance with the national legislation of the state of permanent residence of the deceased; real estate – according to Singapore law.

At the same time, Singapore has established a special procedure for the inheritance of real estate by foreign citizens who do not have permanent resident status. With the exception of properties located on Sentosa Island, foreigners can inherit only after obtaining permission from the Land Office of Singapore. In his absence, the heir is obliged to sell the property within 10 years from the date of death of the owner.

The Law on Inheritance in the Absence of a Will determines the following procedure for registering the right to inheritance.

  1. If the deceased was in a registered marriage and has no children, then the inheritance is fully transferred to the spouse.
  2. If the deceased was in a registered marriage and has children, then the spouse receives half of the inheritance, the rest is divided equally between the children.Until the child reaches the age of 21, the legal representative disposes of his property.
  3. If the deceased was in a registered marriage, has no children and at the time of his death his parents or only parent are still alive, then the inheritance is divided in half between the spouse on the one hand and the parents / parent on the other.
  4. If the deceased was not in a registered marriage and has no children, the inheritance goes to his parents and is divided between them in equal shares.
  5. If the deceased has no legal spouse, children and surviving parents, the inheritance is divided equally between his brothers and sisters.Next in line are grandparents, then uncles and aunts.
  6. If the deceased had no relatives, all his property becomes state property.

The inheritance may be accepted within six months from the date of the death of the testator. This period can be extended, if necessary, by a court decision.

A certificate of inheritance as such is not issued in Singapore. In case of successful inheritance, the court formalizes a decision on the entry into force of the will or judicial authority to manage the property of the deceased (in the absence of a will).Inheritance tax has not been charged since February 2008.

Employees of diplomatic and consular institutions of foreign states are not involved in inheritance matters. If necessary, in the consular section of the Embassy, you can request the necessary documents from Russia (for example, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.), legalize the decision of the Singapore court, and also carry out notarization of the translation from / into Russian.

A special procedure for registering the right to inheritance applies to Muslims permanently residing in the Republic.According to the Administration of Muslim Law Act, inheritance in any case takes place according to the rules of Islamic law, even if there is a will (and only up to a third of the property can be bequeathed). Taking into account the complexity of the procedure for distributing inheritance, depending on many factors (the course of Islam, which the deceased adhered to, his nationality, size and composition of the family, etc.), the decision on the order of inheritance in each case is made by the Shariah Court of Singapore.

Top Hospitals in Singapore

The Ministry of Health under the Government of Singapore oversees healthcare in Singapore. Most hospitals in Singapore are government-regulated, while few are classified as private.

In fact, Singapore consists of an extensive and well-organized healthcare system. In the 2000 list of the world’s health systemsand organized by the World Health Organization, Singapore was ranked 6th. In 2014, Bloomberg ranked Singapore as the # 1 most efficient healthcare system in the world. What’s more, according to the Bloomberg Global Health Index, Singapore ranked first among the healthiest countries in Asia and fourth in the world. According to Towers Watson, Singapore is one of the most efficient healthcare systems in the world due to funding efficiency and health outcomes achieved.Towers Watson also argues that Singapore’s healthcare system is unique and would be difficult to replicate in other countries.

Singapore has been one of the most popular medical tourism destinations in the world for many years. The best hospitals in Singapore are accredited by the JCI (Joint Commission International), which testifies to the quality of medical services in these hospitals. Not to mention, even Singapore’s blood supplies are considered the safest in the world. Therefore, it is quite obvious why Singapore is among the top destinations for medical tourism worldwide.

Cost Comparison

Singapore boasts a myriad of highly trained healthcare professionals, including internationally trained doctors, experienced nurses and other medical personnel. Don’t forget that Singapore’s hospitals are also one of a kind, with excellent infrastructure and exceptional medical facilities. Most public and private hospitals have received international accreditation.

However, a high quality healthcare system and highly trained medical professionals are some of the best reasons people choose Singapore to heal themselves. However, the other most common reason foreigners choose Singapore is because of the cheap treatment. Plus, who doesn’t want to receive extremely professional treatment at an extremely low cost when compared to the United States of America, Turkey, Israel, and many others?

However, there is one important reminder that should be given due attention. The final cost of any treatment you seek in Singapore may depend on various factors such as:

  • Hospital location

  • Hospital type

  • Hospital reputation

  • Treatment area

  • Treatment type

  • Medical history

  • Doctor’s examination

There are many factors that influence the total cost of treatment, however the aforementioned are the most common of all.

Dear Friends! We sincerely congratulate you on the coming 2012!
May the New Year bring us all new impressions, pleasant acquaintances, unexpected joys and small difficulties that we can overcome in order to be in good shape And most importantly – may it be happy!
Let’s make 2012 kind and bright together. Together we will fill it with our smiles and greetings, we will make it so that next year there will be few 14 photos!
Our 2011 was filled with events: those that you want to remember again and again and those that you want to forget about as soon as possible. It was filled with victories: big and small, over ourselves or over circumstances, but it also brought a number of disappointments, overcoming which, we became definitely stronger and more united.
We abandoned our old dreams in favor of new plans. We have changed the things we were used to. For the first time in a long time we did not do any commercial filming at all and for the first time we did not have time to process even our photographs
Let’s not hide, this year has become one of the most difficult for us, sometimes it seemed that the world turned upside down. But we are happy that this year we spent much more time with family and friends.
And today, only about the good!

As you know, we planned to celebrate the New Year at the Marina Bay Sands hotel. But, looking from a great height at the shining city below, we realized that we want to be among thousands of people on the street and share with them the anticipation and joy of the holiday.
At that time, we had already seen enough of the city from top to bottom and wanted to meet fireworks with extended necks
Suddenly for ourselves, two hours before midnight, we fled from the Golden Cage to the city
The ideal was born on December 31st – a pleasant shopping trip without queues, a delicious dinner and countdown in the street among thousands of happy people and an ideal January 1st – a quiet breakfast with a view of the city and morning by the pool.
Posters were posted throughout the city and in public transport to celebrate the New Year at Marina Bay. And we invite you to remember New Year’s Eve 2010-2011 with us!

The infinity pool, located on the roof of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, is not only a highlight of the complex, but also its hallmark.
Due to the absence of visible sides, it seems that the water edge breaks off at a great height, going into the horizon, and there is only a thin, barely perceptible line between the water surface and the city below. Water overflows over this edge and seems to break down.
There are many endless pools, but Marina Bay Sands has no competitors at such a high altitude. 150 meters of pleasure, child’s delight, engineering genius and great investment!
Add in the breathtaking city views to create another Singapore wonder.

As we have already said, a few days at Marina Bay Sands should have been our New Year’s gift to each other. And we are thinking about New Year’s gifts even in the summer. Therefore, we managed to taste all the joys of pre-booking and choose not an ordinary one, but a club room from Marina Bay Club Rooms.
The main plus of the club room for us was not its design, large area, special attitude of the staff or the fresh press. Its main location was on one of the upper floors, namely 45.
Later, of course, we also appreciated the access to the Marina Bay Club, located on the rooftop, with a stunning panoramic view, where it was surprisingly pleasant to have breakfast, sit for afternoon tea or sample evening cocktails.
We are not used to such a luxurious life and from the very first minutes of our stay in the hotel we called it the Golden Cage.
It is not a shame to admit that everything that happens to us still seems to us some kind of dream and spied plots from unreal life. Marina Bay Sands’ club privileges are truly associated with only one word – comfortable luxury.
The hotel has everything you need to never go outside. It is a well-known fact that in a five-star hotel in any country in the world, you will most likely never see or understand the life of ordinary people.
We love real Singapore, so in a couple of days we were really happy to leave for our usual simple hotel and return to normal life
Moreover, having seen enough of this luxury, we did not even celebrate the New Year at the hotel, but went outside, but about everything in order

Three 55-storey towers of Marina Bay Sands, united under one roof-park, sunk into our souls back in 2009, when we were lucky enough to observe their rapid construction.
We decided to make ourselves a present for the new year 2010-2011 – to stay for a few days at Marina Bay Sands, opened in June 2010.
Today Marina Bay Sands is a modern resort complex in the city, located on the coastline of Marina Bay, combining a five-star hotel, casino, Sky Park and an “endless” rooftop pool at an altitude of almost 200 meters, a huge shopping complex with an ice rink and canals on its territory, a theater, a museum of art and science, a promenade and a promenade at Marina Bay.
The developer of this large-scale project is Las Vegas Sands, which also owns several of the largest casinos and hotels in Las Vegas and Macau.
Our story will be divided into several parts:
Part 1 – Surroundings: fast construction, unique technologies and brilliant results.
Part 2 – Club room in the hotel – Golden cage: comfortable luxury of club privileges.
Part 3 – Infinity Rooftop Pool: 150 meters of fun, children’s delight, engineering genius and a big investment.

When Sasha and Dima handed us an invitation in the form of a multi-colored balloon, we were, of course, delighted, but also a little at a loss, since at that moment we did not know at all what Khupa was.
Several hours of theoretical training and encouraging P.S. from the invitation “Dress code – comfortable and smart” dispelled our fears
The only thing left to do was to find a book as a gift for the newlyweds, which turned out to be not so easy, since all of our original versions were suddenly out of stock. Then we thought that “Around the World in 80 Days” in the cover of our favorite blue color would become our contribution to the home library
The wedding was on June 26, the day after Sasha’s birthday. And the day before, we read messages on Twitter from those who were at the Stereoleto party in the Air on Krestovsky and did not draw parallels with the fact that the next day we were to be there for a friend’s holiday.
In general, whatever happened the night before at the party, but Sasha and Dima had much better
I would like to admit that we liked the ceremony. Everything turned out to be so logical, unhurried and light. There really was a feeling that one big family had gathered and everything that happened was of great importance for everyone. It was fun, cozy and very interesting. We saw everything we read about and it was unforgettable.
There are a lot of good stories connected with the wedding of the guys, at least the moment that the guests brought kosher champagne from Israel one bottle at a time (you simply cannot buy it here) is already worth a lot. It seems to us that everyone wanted the holiday to be very good, and that is exactly what happened.
Sasha and Dima, thank you for a great day, a wonderful wedding cake (believe me, we have never seen an invitation and a wedding cake the same, it was very cute) and an unforgettable dance on chairs
Love and happiness! Mazl tov!
P.S. Sasha and Dima had a photographer, but we still somehow fit our camera into a handbag and therefore our guest satisfied and satisfied photos will be here

In the last days of August we went to visit Tanya and Tema – to get acquainted with little Vasilisa!
Tanya and Tema are very cool, there is nothing more to say. Their stories from the series “novice parents” ache in her cheeks and stomach, and if Tanya ever publishes all the stories in her LJ it will be a great literary discovery, believe me
The theme proudly assures that Vasilisa has gasoline in her blood, and Tanya shines with her blue eyes and says: “Do you think she doesn’t torture me? She torments me terribly ”and both smile and smile. You look at them and you understand, here it is – Great Happiness! We are very, very happy for you, friends!
And even if everything has already been photographed before us by the parents themselves, it is clear that the three of us cannot take off the tripod all the time, so we took a few photos with great, great pleasure while walking in the park.
So, meet Vasya the cosmonaut or the Beautiful Princess Vasilisa the Bun!
Happy Mom and Dad!

On the one hand, it should be easy to talk about your friends’ wedding, but on the other – quite the opposite.Indeed, it is so difficult to convey real joy in a few phrases. But we’ll try!
Anya and Sasha’s wedding was in spring, but our incredible summer did not allow, unfortunately, to show the photos earlier.
When Sasha invited us to the wedding in April, we were worried that we would not be able to come, as a business trip to India was planned. We tried to come up with backup options, but fortunately, the deadlines have moved and we managed to be present in person.
Generally speaking, Sasha is Shurik for us. Cheerful, kind and helpful. Kolya has known Shurik for a very long time, and I have been for almost 8 years, so it’s difficult to even add something. I like to tell the story of how I invited Shurik to my birthday for the first time, and he sincerely asked: “Does Kolya know?” And then I realized, perhaps for the first time in my life, what real male friendship is and how important it is to meet a person who is sincere in big and small matters.
When we first saw Anya, we immediately got the feeling that it was Anya, calm and reasonable, when needed and always sweet – the same girl.
The guys wanted the wedding to be cozy and family friendly. It is very good that this is exactly what happened.
We did not have any big photo sessions, a few minutes of unhurried shooting in the Second Palace and on the ship where the banquet was taking place. By the way, at our wedding there was exactly the same Neva-5 with the same captain, so we were doubly pleased
It was cold, almost like today, strong wind and mostly cloudy sky, but the weather means so little on such a happy day!
Instead of the first dance, Anya and Sasha sang Love Me Tender, it was very touching and beautiful.
Anechka and Shurik, once again we wish you love and understanding, trust, a little childishness and a lot, a lot of happiness!
I’d like to meet as soon as possible, finally give you photos and chat about the latest news!

On July 9, my godson Mishutka was one year old.Whole First Year.
Time flew by exactly as it should: somewhere very quickly, somewhere too leisurely. During these 12 months, so imperceptible for us and so tangible for Natasha and Yura, Mishutka has grown from a sweet touching lump into a little man. And each new day will bring him closer to adulthood.
For some reason we are sure that we will not have time to look back when Misha himself will read our blog and revise the photographs already old at that time from the history of his family. And we are sure that all our most sincere wishes will come true! Otherwise it is simply impossible!
Misha, you are very lucky with your mom and dad, grandparents. Enjoy every day of childhood, love and care of loved ones. Grow up healthy, strong and kind!
And then be sure to take our present from your parents for Your First Birthday. Otherwise, they will forget about it for “dtsad” years.
Natasha and Yura, thank you for a wonderful holiday! It is always warm and sunny with you!
And now the promised few photos of Mishutka, cake and everyone, everyone, everyone!

Everyone liked last year’s experience of celebrating a birthday at the dacha and this time we decided to do the same!
Rereading that post, I understand that now I just can’t write better than then. But still, I can add something.
We are very glad that this time there is a new addition to our company! And we are glad that there are already children among us and that every year there will be more and more of them.
Thank you for a wonderful day, an unreal cake, useful and pleasant gifts, good mood and everything, everything, everything!

90,000 “Coming to Russia, I am very worried about my husband and child” – Capital C

A resident of Ruzayevka found her family happiness in Singapore.

26-year-old resident of Ruzayevka Alena Berdnikova is happily married to 27-year-old Singaporean Hendra Mas Bin Johan, who is Chinese by nationality. The couple has a 3-year-old daughter, Eliza. Alena admits that she misses her family. He often communicates with them via Skype, but does not want to return to Russia forever. For four years of marriage, she only came to her homeland twice … The happy wife told Irina Kudashkina about the story of her love and life in another country.

… Alena was born in Sevastopol. When she was 3 years old, the family moved to her mother’s homeland – to Ruzayevka. The girl graduated from a local school, then entered the Mordovian Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Psychology and Defectology. But I didn’t manage to work after college. Her fiancé immediately came for her, whom she met on … the Internet.

“I didn’t plan a relationship with a foreigner,” Alena says. – I wanted to learn Japanese, but it turned out to be difficult. I had to take up English to find an interlocutor. This is how I met my future husband. For two years we communicated via Skype. Then Hendra came to Russia and offered … to fly away with him. At first I was very afraid, but on a subconscious level I trusted. Then the Singaporean offered to marry, because he did not want to lose me. ”

The wedding took place a month after the move. According to Alena, there were problems with the visa and documents. She could have been expelled from the country at any time. “The husband did everything possible to prevent this from happening. For this I am very grateful to him. “The young people did not have a candy-bouquet period, but Hendra always worried about the bride, supported her, helped with advice. The warm relationship continued in the marriage. “We are everywhere together,” his wife says. – My husband accompanies me to the hospital and shops. Financially fully provides, I do not have the opportunity to work yet. I never asked Hendra for expensive gifts that I didn’t need. But if at night he suddenly wants oranges, he will go and buy. ” Hendra Johana works as an IT specialist at a bank.Fluent in English, Malay, Chinese, Japanese, and also intensively learns Russian. “He has a specialized secondary education, if we compare with ours,” says Alena. “But it’s not that important.” According to our interlocutor, parents on both sides were initially shocked. For a father-in-law and mother-in-law, a Russian girl is a curiosity. But, despite all the misunderstandings, they were happy for their son and took Alena. “The pitfalls began to come across after the wedding,” says the spouse. “But these were ordinary family problems. The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law do not immediately find a common language. I had to change my character a little, to become more flexible. Somewhere to be gentle, sometimes to pretend to be stupid. My parents accepted my foreign husband well. Mom saw how he treats me anxiously, so she didn’t mind our marriage. ” Before the wedding Alena had to convert to Islam, as Hendra is a Muslim …

“With a Russian education, you can find a job in Singapore,” says Alena. – However, work experience and knowledge of English is required. Many citizens from other countries have found good earnings here. ”

Singapore is considered one of the most developed countries in the world. According to the woman, higher education is expensive here. Budget seats are for geniuses only. “I don’t plan to get a local diploma yet,” Alena says. – By the way, Singapore has a very high level of healthcare, excellent service and friendly people. In this country, literally everything is arranged for comfortable living. ”

Singapore’s laws are very harsh, so the crime rate is one of the lowest in the world. Some offenses are punishable by blows with sticks. For brutal murder and drug dealing, the death penalty is hanged. “It is very ruinous to disturb public order,” the wife says. “For smoking in a public place, spitting on the ground, throwing out garbage – a fine of $ 500.” According to Alena, there are practically no homeless people, drunkards and drug addicts on the streets. “The city is very clean,” says a former resident of Ruzayevka with admiration. – I will not judge whether it is better or worse than Saransk.Everywhere is good in its own way. ”

The main public holiday is Independence Day, which is celebrated on August 9th. “At this time, all citizens unite, regardless of nationality,” Alena continues with enthusiasm. – A colorful parade is taking place in the city. Flags and symbols of Singapore are hung on the houses. We do not like a large crowd of people, so we celebrate the holiday with our family or go to the nearest shopping center to have fun. ”

On New Year’s holidays, Singaporeans have only two days of rest.“There are also many other significant dates that are not celebrated in Russia,” says Alena. “For example, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali …”

There are no children’s sandboxes in Singapore. All areas are clean and plastic coated. “You can play barefoot,” emphasizes Berdnikova. – Most of the kindergartens are private, but there are no queues. The schools are mostly state-owned, you don’t have to pay for them, only for lunch. ”

The city-state has several official languages: English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil.“My husband and I speak English,” says the wife. – I do not seek to obtain Singaporean citizenship, as I will have to give up the Russian one. Issuance of a passport depends on social status. One friend received it after the birth of two sons, having lived in the country for more than five years. ”

In a small state, Russians are treated well. Many locals know the word “hello”. “My daughter’s doctor greets me in Russian,” Alena smiles. – And of course, there are a lot of stereotypes. For example, as if all Russians drink vodka. When they find out that I do not like alcohol, they are very surprised. I have to explain. ”

Singaporean culture is very diverse, incorporating Chinese, English, Malay and Indian elements. According to Alena, people of different nationalities work together calmly and live in the neighborhood. Singaporeans are very friendly and welcoming. You can easily ask a passerby for help. This small state has adopted a program to attract foreign specialists. They are paid good “lifting” and are given big discounts on the purchase of housing. Average salary is $ 2,600. Foreign specialists are paid an order of magnitude higher than local …

When Alena, along with her husband and daughter Eliza, arrives in Russia, those around them closely examine them. “I get stressed right away. My husband is trying to calm me down, but I am very worried about him and the child. There have been no open conflicts yet. But I feel some kind of dislike. There is no such thing abroad. By the way, my husband is Chinese by nationality … ”
Alena admits that she really misses her family. He often communicates with them via Skype, but does not want to return to Russia forever. For four years of marriage, she only came to her homeland twice …
