Media review due: 30 March 2023

You should wash your hands for the amount of time it takes to sing “Happy Birthday” twice (around 20 seconds):

1. Wet your hands with water.

2. Apply enough soap to cover your hands.

3. Rub your hands together.

4. Use 1 hand to rub the back of the other hand and clean in between the fingers. Do the same with the other hand.

5. Rub your hands together and clean in between your fingers.

6. Rub the back of your fingers against your palms.

7. Rub your thumb using your other hand. Do the same with the other thumb.

8. Rub the tips of your fingers on the palm of your other hand. Do the same with other hand.

9. Rinse your hands with water.

10. Dry your hands completely with a disposable towel.

11. Use the disposable towel to turn off the tap.

If you do not have immediate access to soap and water then use alcohol-based handrub if available.

When should you wash your hands?

You should wash your hands:

  • after using the toilet or changing a nappy
  • before and after handling raw foods like meat and vegetables
  • before eating or handling food
  • after blowing your nose, sneezing or coughing
  • before and after treating a cut or wound
  • after touching animals, including pets, their food and after cleaning their cages

Washing your hands properly removes dirt, viruses and bacteria to stop them spreading to other people and objects, which can spread illnesses such as food poisoning, flu or diarrhoea.

It can help stop people picking up infections and spreading them to others.

It can also help stop spreading infections when you’re visiting someone in hospital or another healthcare setting.

Caring for Your Suprapubic Catheter

You are going home with a suprapubic catheter in place. This tube is placed directly into the bladder through your belly (abdomen) to drain urine from your bladder. You were shown how to care for your catheter in the hospital. This sheet will help remind you of those steps and guidelines when you are at home.

Home care

  • Shower as needed.

  • Change your dressing every day. Change the dressing more often if it falls off, becomes dirty, or has absorbed a lot of drainage.

Gather your supplies

Remove the dressing and check for problems

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before and after all catheter care.

  • Gently remove the old dressing if you have one.

    • Don’t pull on the tube.

    • Check the dressing for drainage. Notice whether anything looks abnormal or smells bad.

    • Place your dressing in the plastic bag and throw it away in the wastebasket.

  • Now look at the place where the catheter leaves your body (exit site).

    • Note any swelling, bleeding, irritation, abnormal, or smelly drainage.

    • Also check for any sores next to the exit site. Sores form around the exit site if there is too much pressure from the tube on the skin.

Clean the area

  • Wash the area around the catheter exit site gently with soap and water.

  • Gently pat the area dry

  • Don’t use powders, creams, or sprays near the exit site.

  • Place a split 4″ x 4″ sponge around the catheter. Tape it in place.

Follow-up care

Make a follow-up appointment, or as advised.

When to call your healthcare provider

Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any of the following:

  • Catheter that falls out, or is clogged or feels clogged

  • Stitches that fall out

  • Urine leaking around catheter

  • Urine that is cloudy, bloody, or smells bad

  • No urine drainage

  • Bladder that feels full or painful

  • Rash, itching, redness, swelling, or drainage at the catheter site

  • Fever of 100.4°F ( 38°C ) or higher, or as directed by your provider

  • Shaking chills

What’s the best way to clean sex toys? | Health Promotion

Proper cleaning of sex toys is essential to avoid bacterial infection or transmission of STIs. While some STIs die once the fluid they live in dries, others (such as hepatitis and scabies) can live for weeks or months outside of the body. If you want to prevent pregnancy, it is also important to be remove sperm that may be on the sex toy before using near or in the vagina. It’s important to keep the instructions for cleaning the sex toy and to follow them carefully. If you feel that cleaning the toy properly would be too time consuming or unrealistic for you, think about buying a different toy. The information provided below gives a general overview for cleaning different types of toys and isn’t meant to replace the manufacturer’s instructions.

For basic toy care, remove any batteries. Never submerge electrical components in water. Use a damp, soapy washcloth to clean your electric toys, preferably with anti-bacterial soap. Keep toys stored in a container or pouch (to keep them clean) and in a cool, dry place.

Cleaning non-porous materials: glass, stainless steel, hard plastic, and silicone

  • Glass: Wash glass toys with soap and water. Pyrex toys are dishwasher safe. Do not expose glass to extreme temperatures.

  • Stainless Steel: If attached to an electrical device, use warm soapy water, being careful not to submerge any electrical components. If there are no electrical components you have 3 options: Boil or soak in a 10% bleach-water solution for 10 minutes, or place it in the dishwasher.

  • Hard Plastic: Clean with anti-bacterial soap and water. Do not boil.

  • Silicone: You can choose from 3 options to clean a silicone toy. Either boil for 5-10 minutes, put it in your dishwasher (on top rack), or wash with anti-bacterial soap and warm water. Do not boil silicone vibrators because you will destroy the vibrator mechanism.

Cleaning porous materials: rubber, vinyl, cyberskin, nylon, and leather

  • Rubber materials: Rubber materials are porous and difficult to clean. In addition, their composition is not always known or may contain phthalates, chemicals which have been shown to be harmful to your health. For these reasons, it is recommended to use condoms with these types of toys.

  • Cyberskin and Vinyl: Cyberskin is soft and porous, often used for dildos. Wash cyberskin and vinyl toys delicately with warm water only. Air dry and powder a small amount with cornstarch to keep them from getting sticky.

  • Nylon: Nylon harnesses and toys can be machine or hand washed with a mild anti-bacterial soap.

  • Leather: Wipe leather products with a damp, soapy cloth or with leather cleaner. Do not soak leather. After cleaning, you may recondition your toy using a leather conditioner. Protect metal parts from tarnish by applying a coating of clear nail polish.

Xiaomi dispenser (third generation) Review, review after 4 months of use and instructions for revision

    Hello, friends.
Today I want to review the Xiaomi dispenser. Moreover, this is an overview of not just received the product, but after 4 months of use. During this time, the dispenser has shown its best side, continues to work every day in the kitchen, and in general it is definitely worth its money. I will also show how I modified (nakolhozil) this dispenser to be able to fill in any liquid soap without any problems.
But of course I’ll start with the review itself.
A dispenser was bought for one of the shares. The price was great, couldn’t help but buy.
A few weeks later, at the post office I received a parcel with a dispenser inside:

The box got in the way. But inside, everything turned out to be whole.
For those who know Chinese, there are specifications on the box:

The complete set consists of instructions, a dispenser and a container with soap:

In the instructions, despite the Chinese language, there are pictures for installation. Therefore, there were no problems with the assembly. And even without instructions, everything is clear there:

A container of soap is a kind of consumable. I asked the Chinese. They just throw the bottle away and buy a new one. But we are not Chinese, I will show you further how I modified this bottle.

There is a cork on the bottle to keep the liquid from spilling. It must be removed before use:

The dispenser itself has an interesting design. Made of glossy plastic. And has a height of 10cm:

There is a touch button on top.It lights up when turned on and during operation:

The spout has an IR sensor and a hole through which the foam comes out:

In order for the dispenser to start working, you need to install 4 AA batteries. They are installed from the bottom. Removing the sticker:

Unscrew the cover to the side:

For those in doubt, there are icons showing the opening and closing:

4 battery slots under the cover:

I put in inexpensive alkaline batteries “Victory”:

Even after 4 months, the batteries are still alive and working normally.
I put the lid back on. I install the bottle. Dispenser ready for use:

How does the dispenser work? We raise our hand, we get a portion of thick white foam:

    Everything works quickly and accurately.
The soap itself has a pleasant scent. And it washes away dirt and odor very well. I washed my hands after cleaning the fish, the smell goes away. I washed my hands after repairing the car. Oil and dirt are also washed off well. In general, the soap included is good.
But all good things tend to run out. So the soap is over. And then I decided to make a small collective farm in order to be able to quickly pour my soap.
This is what the dispenser looks like after its expiration date:

For the collective farm, I needed a knife, a drill, a screwdriver and an empty small bottle of any medicine with a small cap:

In my case, this is an eleutherococcus can:

However, you can also use a rubber cap. But it will need to be trimmed slightly.
At the same time, I do a small revision of the dispenser state.
    Spout:

    Battery compartment:

Everything is in excellent condition. Nothing rusted or sour. Not covered with oxide. This makes me happy.
The essence of the revision is to make a hole in the bottle and put a cap there. Trying on the cover:

I outline it with a pencil. The truth still turns out crooked:

    Drilling, picking, cutting out:

The hole is ready. If I had a large diameter drill, it would have been better. But alas, it was not there. So I had to drill first and then cut. Alternatively, you can use a soldering iron. But I didn’t want to.
    Now about liquid soap.
Somewhere I read that people say that you need to dilute liquid soap in proportions of 8 to 1. I immediately remember a joke about this:

I take liquid soap and dilute it roughly 1 to 1 with water. Straight in the bottle:

I pour it into a bottle from a dispenser. This is where the plus of my revision comes in. It is very convenient to pour soap into the large opening:

I close the lid.The collective farm is ready:

If you put the bottle on one side, then the soap will of course pour out. This is not a completely airtight seal. But for a dispenser, this is not critical:

I put the dispenser back on the bottle and you can continue to use:

The experience of several weeks shows that such revision does not get in the way. The filling hole is located under the dispenser and does not catch the eye in any way, thereby not spoiling the view. The dispenser continues to function properly and also makes good lather.
This is actually the whole revision.
Can I recommend such a dispenser for purchase? Of course yes!
May I recommend this refinement method? Yes FIG knows. Decide for yourself. Some people take off the tight cap every time to refuel, swear, break it. And here I am pouring soap and norms from the side.
That’s my whole review with collective farming and filing. All good mood and health.
By the way, despite the fact that I bought a dispenser in another store, I added a link to the option with the lowest price for the version of the dispenser without batteries, but with soap in the kit.

Brush Guide: How to Select, Store, Use

Think there is nothing special about shaving brushes? Think any shaving brush can handle lathering and applying it to your face? In fact, the quality of your shave is directly related to the characteristics and quality of the shaving brush. In this guide, you will learn everything there is to know about badgers and boars, from selection to use and storage.

More than just a brush: shaving quality depends on the shaving brush 90 100

    Contents

Why do you need a shaving brush

A shaving brush does two things: getting the foam out of the shaving cream or soap, and preparing the bristles and facial skin for contact with the blade.

    Obtaining foam

A good shaving foam has three ingredients: soap base, water, and air. A high-quality shaving brush helps to combine these ingredients into one substance. When lather is churned on your face, in the palm of your hand, or in a bowl, a soap base made from shaving cream or soap combines with water. Thanks to this, the foam effectively moisturizes the epidermis and bristles. The damp foam penetrates the hair easily. Thanks to the alkali in the soap base, it makes the bristles soft.

The air turns the foam into a mechanical barrier or pillow. This protective layer prevents the so-called razor burn, which is manifested by severe redness and inflammation of the skin after shaving.

With high-quality shaving brushes, you can control the characteristics of the foam: the balance of water and air. For example, whipping soap or cream with a good badger hair brush for 2 minutes removes excess air from the foam and provides a strong bond between water and soap. The result is a moist, dense and durable foam.

Preparing the skin and stubble for shaving

Some aspiring veterinarians use the shaving brush solely to transfer foam to the face. They whip up a great lather in a bowl and then just spread it evenly over your face. This error drastically reduces shaving performance.

Foam is not enough to simply spread over the face. Before shaving, massage the shaving area with a shaving brush for a few minutes. This solves the following tasks:

    • Raises the stubble. Facial hair usually lies on, so it is difficult to shave it off without pressing on the razor.
    • Helps the foam penetrate the bristles and epidermis. This makes the hair softer and the top layer of the skin more elastic. The result is less trauma and more effective shaving.
    • Removes dead cells of the epidermis. This is called exfoliation. In this case, the shaving brush replaces the scrub.
    • Increases blood circulation on the face. This stimulates the healing of microtraumas that the epidermis inevitably receives upon contact with the blade.

Using a shaving brush helps to produce high-quality lather and prepares skin and stubble to meet the blade. This works under two conditions: using the correct shaving brush from a trusted and trusted supplier. The choice of a suitable shaving brush will be discussed further.

Anatomy of a shaving brush: what to look for when choosing

Shaving brushes consist of natural or artificial bristles and a handle. The bristle consists of a knot that is hidden in the handle, a base and a dome.

Knot (1), base (2) and dome (3) of pile shaving brush 90 100

Dome – the area from the widest part of the bristle to the tips of the bristles. It can have different lengths depending on the type and density of the pile. The new shaving brush must be used within two to three weeks for the dome to fully expand.

The consumer properties of the shaving brush are influenced by the following characteristics of the dome and base.

    Degree of softness or pliability
Soft dome brushes have excellent moisture retention. Shaving brushes with a hard dome massage the shaving area well, raise the bristles and remove the dead layer of the epidermis.
    Dome capacity
This characteristic describes the canopy’s ability to retain foam. The brushes made of badger pile have the largest capacity.
The ability of the dome to release foam
Connoisseurs of traditional shaving know that some shaving brushes eat up a lot of cream or soap. In fact, the brush has a low lathering ability. The characteristic depends on the type of pile and the size of the bundle. Small brush strokes and synthetic bristle brushes work best.

When choosing a shaving brush, it is important to pay attention to the density of the knot. It is determined by the amount of bristle used to make the brush. The tighter the knot, the higher the foam holding capacity of the brush. Brushes with dense knots massage the face better and more effectively exfoliate dead cells of the epidermis.

At the bottom of the knot, the hair should be flush. Otherwise, the brush will lose bristles.

In the specification of shaving brushes, manufacturers indicate the following characteristics:

    • Total hand length. This is the distance from the edge of the handle to the tips of the pile.
    • Loft shaving brush. Distance from the top of the handle or the point where the lint exits from the handle to the tips of the bristles.
    • Shaving brush unit diameter. It is measured at the point where the lint comes out of the handle.

When choosing a shaving brush, it is also important to consider the shape of the pile dome. The most popular shapes are the bulb and fan shafts. Light bulb brushes have a wide base that supports shorter hair. This makes it easier for the shaving brush to pick up solid soap. It also beats the foam more effectively in the bowl.

Fan-shaped brushes have the same pile length. It makes more contact with the surface. This type of shaving brush is best used for lathering your face.

Light Bulb and Fan: The Two Most Popular Shapes of Shaving Brush 90 100

A kind of fan – shaving brushes with a flat dome or flat top. They are in great demand among lovers of foam on the face.

    Shaving brush with flat dome

Wild boar, badger or synthetics: which is better

Badger and boar shaving brushes are in great demand among connoisseurs of classic shaving.Synthetic hair brushes are common. Horsehair shaving brushes are considered the most exotic. Which bristle option is better? Let’s figure it out.

    Wild boar bristle brush

This is a relatively cheap shaving brush for connoisseurs of natural hair. Boar bristles are tough. Therefore, shaving brushes of this type pick up solid soap well, massage the shaving area perfectly and effectively exfoliate dead skin cells.

Boar hair brushes “eat” a lot of cream or soap. This is due to the fact that they are reluctant to give up the formed foam.

The benefits of boar hair shaving brushes include:

    • Relatively low cost. “Boars” are cheaper than quality “badgers”.
    • Excellent massage and exfoliating properties. Due to the stiffness of the bristles, this type of brush replaces a scrub.
    • Ability to lift hairs. Intensive work with a boar bristle brush prepares the facial hair perfectly for shaving.

Among the shortcomings, some veterinarians note the incompatibility of the shaving brush with boar hair with sensitive or problem skin.Allegedly too coarse hairs on the hand injure the skin and cause discomfort.

This is not an axiom. Those with sensitive skin can use the boars with a suitable shaving product. Moreover, brushes of this type are indispensable in the fight against ingrown hairs. Due to the ability to exfoliate dead cells of the epidermis and release hair, “boars” prevent inflammation.

Another disadvantage of pork hair brushes is the smell. It is indeed present in the early days of some manufacturers’ brushes. But a simple rinse with toilet soap or shaving cream will completely eliminate the unpleasant odor.

    Badger hair brushes

“Badgers” are considered the standard of quality shaving brush. Brushes of this type beat the foam faster than “boars”. The foam itself turns out to be denser and more moist at the same time. This is possible due to the good ability of badger wool to retain moisture.

Badger shaving brushes give a good foam. Due to the softness of the pile, the “badger” does not cause discomfort when applying foam, even for those with sensitive skin.

Depending on the quality of the pile, badger shaving brushes are classified into categories.

    Pure Badger
This is the most affordable type of badger hair brush. The hardest bristles are used for production. Pure Badger shaving brushes are similar to boar bristles. They are great for working with solid soaps, and also massage the face well and remove dead skin cells.
    Best Badger

Softer badger wool is used for the production of these brushes. It is taken from the belly of the animal.

Best Badger shaving brushes outperform Pure Badger and boars in their ability to retain moisture and release foam. At the same time, they retain good massage qualities and the ability to lift facial hair.

    Super Badger
The nap for the production of brushes of this type is taken from the back of a badger. These are soft razor brushes that whip up a dense and dense lather. Super Badger works best with mild soaps or creams. It is more comfortable to beat the foam in a bowl.
    Silvertip Badger

This is the highest category of badger bristles. For their production, wool from the neck of the animal is used. Silvertip is the softest shaving brush. They are the best at retaining moisture and producing the highest quality foam. Silvertip has no competitors in its ability to retain moisture.

Some manufacturers provide an additional category: Extra Silvertip. Shaving brushes of this class may differ from Silvertip in appearance and handle material. But the properties of the brush remain the same, since all Silvertips are made from wool taken from the badger’s neck.

Pay attention! You should not try to determine the class of the shaving brush by its appearance. Some manufacturers specially dye the tips of the Best Badger or Super Badger to pass it off as a Silvertip. To purchase a real high-end badger shaving brush, you need to choose a reliable manufacturer and study the specification of the brush.

    Horsehair brushes

This is a rare type of natural bristle brush. In terms of rigidity and ability to retain moisture and foam, horsehair brushes occupy an intermediate position between “badgers” and “boars”.

An important feature: horsehair is thinner than pork hair, and its ends are sharper. Therefore, when churning foam on your face, horse bristle brushes can cause more discomfort than stiffer boar bristle brushes. Therefore, “horses” are not always suitable for people with sensitive and problem skin.

An important point: to make horsehair shaving brushes, horses are sheared, not killed. Therefore, brushes of this type are the preferred option for animal defenders.

    Mixed bristle brush

Some manufacturers offer mixed bristle shaving brushes. For example, the Progress Vulfix No.10 Bristle and Badger shaving brush is made from boar and badger hair. The manufacturer sought to combine in one accessory the best qualities of two types: rigidity and excellent massage properties of “boars” and the ability to retain moisture and whip up dense foam of “badgers”.

    Brush brushes with synthetic bristles

A few decades ago, among connoisseurs of classic shaving, artificial bristles were considered bad manners. They were inferior to their natural wool brethren in all respects, except for the price. This is not surprising: the artificial pile was made from ordinary plastic.

Modern synthetic bristles are made from fiber. For example, the Muhle company has developed a fiber of the highest category Silvertip Fiber, which in terms of consumer qualities is as close as possible to the wool of a badger of the Silvertip class.

Quality fiber brushes produce dense and moist lather. They are soft and comfortable, like real badgers. The durability of fiber brushes should be noted separately. The synthetic material does not deteriorate from moisture. Plus, it dries up instantly.

The peculiarity of fiber shaving brushes is the need to add more water to the foam. Compared to natural brushes, synthetic fiber shaving brushes are slightly less moisture-retaining.

What you need to know about shaving brush size and handle material

When choosing a shaving brush, consider its size. For road shaving brushes, construction also plays a role. You also need to take into account the material of the brush. Details below.

    Size matters

The total length of the brush from the tip of the bristle to the end of the handle, as well as the length and thickness of the handle, will affect the ease of use of the shaving brush. This is especially important for men with large palms, older connoisseurs of classic shaving, and men with hand motility disorders.

In order to hold a small hand with a short and narrow handle in his hands, and also to whip it into foam, a person must use fine motor skills. This does not cause any problems in young people and healthy elderly people.

In some men, fine motor skills are impaired due to age-related changes or diseases, for example, as a result of the consequences of a stroke. In this case, it is more convenient for a person to use a medium or large shaving brush.

Large brushes are also preferred by professional barbers. Some manufacturers produce special professional models of shaving brushes with an extended handle.

Shaving brush, long handle 90 100

One of the important characteristics of the shaving brush is the knot diameter. Here you need to understand the pattern: the larger the knot, the faster and easier it whips up the foam. The reverse side of the coin is that large shaving brushes “eat” a lot of soap and cream.

Another nuance: on the face it is not very convenient to whip the foam with too large shaving brushes. But large brushes work great in a bowl. When choosing a brush size, use the following guidelines:

    • If you are making foam both in the bowl and on your face, choose a shaving brush with a knot diameter of 21 mm.
    • For working exclusively with a bowl, shaving brushes with a knot diameter of 23 mm and above are suitable.
    • Shaving brushes with a diameter of 19 mm or less should be considered as a travel option.

Do not take recommendations as axioms. If you are comfortable working on your face with a large brush with a knot diameter of 24 mm, choose a large brush. When choosing a size, the personal preference of the veterinarian is of great importance.

    Handle material and shape

This is a matter of individual tastes and preferences. Some people find it convenient to use a brush with a large handle, others prefer compact shaving brushes. Some connoisseurs of traditional shaving prefer inexpensive brushes with plastic handles. The latter like solid shaving brushes with handles made of expensive wood or steel.

The shape of the shaving brush is limited only by the designer’s imagination 90 100

Road shaving brushes deserve special attention. The following requirements can be presented to them:

    • Compactness.
    • Light weight.
    • The presence of a cap or case that protects the pile during transportation.

If you travel frequently, purchase a separate synthetic bristle brush. It dries quickly. Natural bristle brushes are inconvenient to use when traveling. They often do not have time to dry, so they deteriorate.

How to use the shaving brush

The foam can be whipped on the face or in a bowl using a shaving brush. Some veterinarians beat the foam directly into the palm of their hand instead of a bowl.Learn more about the basic methods for making foam below.

How to make foam in a bowl

Before using the shaving brush, soak it in warm water for a few minutes. Keep the water below the brush assembly. This is especially important for glue-knot brushes. Avoid water that is too hot as it will impair the physical properties of the pile.

The shaving brush can stay in the water while you wash, take a shower, and steam your skin with a towel. Soaking is especially important for boar bristle brushes. And there is no need to soak synthetic bristles.

Pour water from the bowl, shake the shaving brush to remove excess moisture. Do not wring out the wrist with your hands. If using cream, add a strip of about 2 cm to the bowl. If using soap, pour it into the shaving brush in a circular motion.

Beat the lather in a bowl in vigorous circular motions. Add a little water if the foam is too thick and dense. Add some cream or soap if the foam is airy or watery.

    Prepare foam in a bowl 90 100

Foam properties depend on soap or shaving cream, brush type, and preparation duration. Practice, find the one that’s right for you. Experiment with the amount of water and shaving products.

When the lather is ready, apply it all over your face. Spread it over the shaving area for at least a minute. As noted above, this is how you prepare the skin and stubble to meet the blade.

If you are using boar bristle brush, you can whisk the foam in the palm of your hand. This type of shaving brush does not release foam immediately, so it stays inside the bristle. After 30-60 seconds of beating in the palms of your hands, transfer the shaving brush to your face and continue to beat the lather in a circular motion.

How to foam on your face

Wild boar bristles are best for lathering your face. To prevent your brush from injuring your skin, be sure to soak it in warm water for a few minutes. Pay close attention to preparing your skin for shaving.

To prevent stiff bristles from injuring the epidermis and causing unpleasant sensations, steam your face properly. You can use a hot towel or direct a stream of warm water in the shower over the shaving area. The steamed skin becomes elastic, and this protects it from injury in contact with the shaving brush and the blade.

Apply a 1–2 cm strip of cream to the shaving brush, or draw the soap in a circular motion over the washer. Then beat the lather on your face in a circular motion. Work for at least 2-3 minutes. During this time, the shaving brush will remove excess air from the foam, and the hair and skin will be moisturized.

Beat the foam on the face 90 100

Life hack: while shaving, use a shaving brush to wash the entire face. The brush will remove dead skin cells and unclog the pores on the forehead. Just do not use shaving cream or soap on your entire face. These funds are too aggressive. Better to lather the brush with regular baby soap or the cleanser you usually use. Repeat the procedure 1-2 times a week, depending on your skin condition.

How to store and maintain a shaving brush

After use, be sure to rinse the shaving brush under running water. Shake the brush several times to remove the water.Store the shaving brush with the nap down. It is better if this accessory will stand in a dry room.

Purchase a special stand to store the shaving brush. It will extend the life of the brush for many years.

Simple stand extends the life of the brush 90 100

Shaving brushes with synthetic bristles are allowed to be stored “upside down”.

Clean the shaving brush with toilet soap if necessary. You can also use shampoo for this purpose. But with proper storage and care, the need to wash the brush usually does not arise.

To remove soap deposits, rinse the shaving brush in an aqueous vinegar solution. Mix one part vinegar and four parts water. Soak the brush in this solution for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly under running water.

Never use someone else’s shaving brush that has not been disinfected. When shaving, a small amount of blood sometimes gets on the brush. In an unfortunate combination of circumstances, this can lead to infection with viral hepatitis.Use medication such as a barbicide to disinfect. Observe the exposure times indicated in the instructions.

Please note that washing with soap or shampoo does not guarantee disinfection of the shaving brush. It is undesirable to boil the brush, as it can be damaged under the influence of high temperature.

Instead of a conclusion: one shaving brush is enough, but a good one

A high-quality natural bristle shaving brush will serve you for many years or even decades.A shaving brush made of artificial pile will delight you for the rest of your life. To do this, it is enough to use it carefully and store it correctly. So don’t skimp on shaving brushes. The quality of the foam and the effectiveness of shaving depend on its properties.

Damage to the skin, burns occur with frequent use of the procedure or with the application of a large amount of active ingredients.

Irritations are more commonly seen in the form of allergic reactions to drugs.

Unpredictable consequences of poor face cleansing from cosmetics.

Overdrying and damage occur in almost every case of application of the procedure for dry skin types.

    Precautions

Before you try the peeling on yourself, you need to check for allergies. Calcium chloride is applied to the back of the elbow. After 5-10 minutes, the result is checked. If there is no redness from calcium chloride, then the reaction to baby soap is checked in the same way. Of course, the elbow must be thoroughly washed in clean warm water.

Baby soap you need to take the most ordinary. Otherwise, it is extremely difficult to imagine how they will behave in contact with calcium chloride.

During the procedure, warm water should be prepared, with which, if necessary, you can quickly rinse your face.

For the first procedures, it is better to choose 5% calcium chloride. A higher concentration is diluted with an appropriate amount of water.

In order to avoid skin damage, burns and pigmentation, you need to carry out the procedure in the evening. After that, it is highly undesirable to go out and apply cosmetics. Most ordinary sunlight or wind can cause irreparable harm and cause irritation and redness.

During the first session, only the T-zones are peeled. In all subsequent procedures, this limitation is removed.

Do not peel with calcium chloride and baby soap on the skin around the eyes and lips. The ingress of drugs into these areas should be treated with extreme caution. If this happens, then you need to immediately rinse the entire face and the corresponding areas.

    Required ingredients

What is required for the procedure?

    1. Calcium chloride.
    2. Baby soap.
    3. Cotton pads or just cotton wool.
    4. Warm water for rinsing the face.
    5. Moisturizing, soothing and protective cream. A moisturizer can be replaced with a face mask.

    Peeling

Facial peeling with baby soap and calcium chloride has 2 modes: normal and gentle. Which to choose? The gentle regimen is suitable for mixed skin types. This method is also better for those who have a highly sensitive face. In addition to this regimen, the peeling is carried out exclusively in the T-zone, the chin and cheeks are not affected in this case.

    Normal

There is a strict procedure. The order is strict. Swapping or skipping steps is fraught with consequences. So this is what the procedure looks like.

    1. Cleanse your face from cosmetics, wash it thoroughly. Let the skin dry without wiping (you can use a hairdryer or a fan to speed up).
    2. Apply a gentle, even layer of Calcium Chloride to the face and let it absorb into the skin. The cotton wool should be slightly moistened, it should not drip and pour.
    3. Wait for the solution to dry and repeat the procedure 2-3 more times.
    4. Lather a cotton swab or fingers, gently apply baby soap until the white flakes no longer form. The procedure is carried out along the massage lines.

Calcium Chloride, when applied to the face, may cause skin tightness, a slight tingling sensation may occur – this is all permissible. But if at any moment there is a burning sensation, then immediately you need to rinse your face from the composition.

The use of a moisturizing and soothing cream is mandatory in any case.

Skin contact with the sun after the procedure is completed may cause pigmentation.

Minimum friction and rubbing. Such actions are unacceptable and dangerous.During the application of soap to the layers of calcium chloride, in no case should the components be rubbed or rubbed. Movements should be light, smooth. For this reason, fingertips are often used instead of cotton wool.

    Mechanism of work

How does a face peeling with baby soap and calcium chloride work?

    1. Calcium Chloride impregnates the skin.
    2. When soap is applied, a chemical reaction occurs to form insoluble salts.
