2021 Linnea Design Calendar – Linnea Design
JANUARY: A new year and and a new beginning—a chance to write (or rewrite!) your own story in your own words.
FEBRUARY: February, the month of St. Valentine’s Day, rekindles memories of gifts and hearts both received and given—as we sift through the accumulated treasures of a life well lived.
MARCH: Honeydew and Darjeeling tea… a simple breakfast evokes exotic places even at one’s own table.
APRIL: When April showers get you down, the best remedy is coloring life bright, bold and beautiful!
MAY: Springtime squadrons of pelicans make their way up and down our San Diego coast as they search the waves for dinner.
JUNE: Tako kichi (kite crazy)! Washington’s International Kite Festival at Long Beach is a chance to see skilled kite competitions and also go “tako kichi” on your own.
JULY: The sights, sounds, and smells of the state fair are a sentimental confirmation that summer is in full swing! Win a prize at the county fair and bring home a golden treasure of the ichthyological kind!
AUGUST: This is the time to reconnect with nature, reset your mind while taking command of your own canoe, navigating your way through chaos to calm.
SEPTEMBER: Having a taste of “somewhere else” is always a good idea, especially at a time of year when the byways are less traveled. Give me a Greek island, bathed in sun-washed white and blue.
OCTOBER: October’s Hunter’s Moon is definitely the end of summer and a sign of deepening autumn as it rises huge and low.
NOVEMBER: Dried Chinese lanterns capture and hold the last of the season’s colors.
DECEMBER: The solitude of a December snowfall blankets the imperfections with beauty and covers the din with magnificent serenity…a time for reflection, a time for peace.

Digital Calendars to Get You Organized in 2021
Long before the smartphone was the daily planner du jour, the wall calendar, or for some, the portable daily planner was the keeper of all appointments, reminders and dates. Depending on which you preferred, there were two problems. Go with the wall iteration and your life was stuck in that very place. Go with a daily planner and you felt like you were toting around the contents of your life. For those who still prefer to rely on a calendar to get through the day to day, today’s iterations have the magic of technology on their side, which means every important time, date and reminder is simply a swipe away. And no paper is discarded in the process. Here, the latest generation of digital calendars and apps to keep you and everyone in your family on plan.

This digital wall calendar does not require page turning or tossing upon the last day of the year. The poster board-sized device hangs on your wall and displays the goings-on either in day-to-day mode or full monthly calendar style. It syncs with Google Calendar, iCloud Calendar, Facebook and other online calendar services (because that’s how we’ll roll in 2021) and helps you stay informed about such things as the weather, the traffic, to-do lists, newsfeeds and stock quotes. And it links to any photo streaming device so you can display (in slideshow fashion) the story of your life for all to see.
DAKboard is available for $399.

When everyone in your family has their own schedule, keeping track of it all in one master calendar can help you keep life (and everyone in it) moving like clockwork. The Skylight Calendar syncs with Google, Outlook, Apple, Cozi and Yahoo and puts everyone’s comings and goings in one place. And it lets you add events right on the 10-inch touch-screen display so no one misses them. Create chore lists to nudge the kids or your significant other, grocery lists, and even a meal planner.
Skylight Calendar is available for $159.

While the Echo Show has many talents—including but not limited to video calling, entertainment viewing and photo displaying—if you need to stay organized, this digital device puts your calendar on display in an interactive way. It syncs to anyGoogle, Microsoft or Apple calendars and shows past and present events in three different modes: list mode, three-day mode and month-by-month mode. It also shows you what you’ve got going on for the day on the home screen. But what really takes this date keeper to epic levels is the Alexa capabilities. All you have to do is ask it to tell you what to-dos you have or “what’s on my calendar today?,” and it will pull up a complete list. And, if you want to create a new entry, just tell it to do so and it will add it.
Echo Show is available for $150.
Cozi Family Organizer
Courtesy of Cozi
While technically not a separate device, the Cozi Family Organizer app turns your phone into the ultimate family planner. Available from the Apple Store or Google Play, this one-app wonder helps coordinate and communicate everyone’s schedules, appointments and activities, track grocery lists, checks off to-do lists, and makes meal planning easier. It color codes each person’s schedule, sends reminders and even lets you create personalized to-do lists that link to items you need to reorder. And, if you don’t want to create your own tasks, there are dozens of pre-made planning checklists from the Cozi list library for everything from birthday parties and vacation packing to emergency supplies and groceries. It’s the digital form of the personal assistant.
Cozi Family Organizer is free to download from the Apple Store or Google Play

The Best Gaming Advent Calendars to Buy in 2021 – GameSpew
The holidays are coming, and that means we want to count down to them in the best way possible.
We’re of course talking about advent calendars. Forget those boring ones with 24 little chocolates behind the window. It’s not that we don’t like chocolate, but we can have that any time. Instead, we want something gaming-themed. 24 little windows filled with video game merchandise and related geeky goodness. What could be better?
Thankfully, as time moves on, more and more merchandise-based advent calendars become available. And that means there are plenty of gaming advent calendars to choose from. We’ve rounded up some of the best ones we could find.
If you want to buy any of them, please consider using our affiliate buttons included below each entry. It won’t cost you any extra, but it means GameSpew will earn a tiny fraction of your purchase – and those tiny amounts add up to go a long way to support us.
Pokémon Advent Calendar
Gotta catch ’em all! Okay, just who wouldn’t want this Pokémon-themed advent calendar? Behind its 24 windows you’ll find 16 figurines of popular Pokémon creatures, along with eight Christmassy accessories. The figurines are obviously the highlight here, with many of our favourite Pokémon included – there’s Scorbunny, Bulbasaur, Eevee, and even an adorable Pikachu holding a Christmas gift.
There’s also a Pokémon Mega Construx advent calendar, which lets you build some of your favourite Pokémon.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Pint-Size Heroes Advent Calendar
Five Nights at Freddy’s and ‘Advent Calendar’ are not two things we expected to find together, but here we are. Created by Funko, this calendar contains 24 Five Nights at Freddy’s-themed ‘Pint Size Heroes’. They’re essentially tiny Funko Pop! vinyl figures, measuring between 1.5 and 2 inches tall. Aww. If you prefer your Christmas season to have a bit of nightmare fuel stitched into it, then this is surely one of the best gaming advent calendars you can buy.

Minecraft Mini Figures Advent Calendar
If you’re into Minecraft, the chances are you’ll find this Minecraft Advent Calendar simply adorable. In it you’ll find twelve Minecraft-themed miniature figures and twelve various holiday-themed accessories. Those figures are adorable though; who knew a Creeper dressed as a Christmas tree could warm our hearts so much?

Nintendo 12 Days of Socks Advent Calendar
We’re taking liberties with this one a little bit. This ’12 Days of Socks’ box isn’t quite an advent calendar. There’s only 12 items in it for starters, though each is behind its own window. But Nintendo-themed socks? Personally we can’t think of anything cooler than dressing up our feet with Mario, Link and Donkey Kong-themed patterns. As far as we’re concerned, this is one of the best gaming advent calendars out there, even if it does only have 12 windows.

Hot Wheels ‘North Pole Test Track’ Advent Calendar
Since we’ve recently had a Hot Wheels video game out, this Hot Wheels advent calendar is now fair game for making this list of best gaming advent calendars. Yes, maybe we’re stretching a little bit, but it is pretty cool. It comes with eight Hot Wheels cars, and the rest of the windows contain Christmas-themed decorations or accessories. And the calendar itself folds out to reveal a small track to race around. Vroom vroom.
